Quite disheartening, but i have been in the CCTV and security installation business for quite a while and the stories and testimonies you get from clients can be chilling.
With the situation of both couples having to work you have to depend on a third party to mind your kid. Beyond being nice to your help you have to also put an eye on them and its not just about installing the cameras but making out time to actually go through stored footages as often as you can. Most people just install this for status or 'being like the jonses'.

That CCTV was not installed/located properly...it goes beyond knowing how to mount and install a camera...you need to know what type and what position to install one.
Best bet is to look at the footage from the cameras in the banking hall!!

Good day OP...may I 'post crash'!! poultry, agribiz ....is the way to go now, but why stop your day job/white collar work because you feel you always have to be on ground to monitor your farm/ fish tanks/ poultry etc... God knows i stopped driving to work during the week as at last month, after i saw VIO back on the road. After a horrible experience with them at oshodi some years back...i got humbled that you cant be sane and drive around lagos during the day. frivolous faults with my vehicle rude staffs and a fight cos i refused to allow them drive my car, if it was being impounded then they should either tow it or i drive it myself. Hi @lexyinfo , in case any of your clients or visitors on this thread is interested in learning how to design and host their online shop complete with live chat on their mobile phone they can PM me. The major requirement is ability to use a computer.
You can import or source goods from friends or shops and around you to put on the online shop, some can be virtually owned. For the virtual products when a client places an order you simply call your dispatch company to go pick up from your "friend / supplier" and supply to your customer, you get paid and you remit to your "friend / supplier" and keep your profit!!

NB: you need to have a passion for it oh its one thing to design its another to sell !!

With newer versions of ip cameras you can use alternative power solutions that cost little to nothing.
Our cameras can be powered by your power bank and if you are lucky to have mobile internet modems your setup is good to go. I tried attaching a video of the camera working but its too large(for videos and more info check our instagram page @naijabuys, i have attached the images though. the setup in the image shows a camera being powered by a smile power bank modem , and the internet is being used. that is a complete mobile solution, which you can setup where ever , however and when ever.
We have tested our cameras using an Mi power bank and it powered the camera for 16hours and 10 hours with infrared on. These cameras have a 15 meter infrared range (night vision) also has motion detection triggers.
If you combine this with our wifi bulbs or sockets, you can remotely switch on the lights or trigger the alarm when you get a motion detection alert.
We have outdoor cameras for fish ponds and farms, all come with motion detection triggers.

Since she cant be there 24/7 , i suggest she opts for a CCTV solution. If the internet there is good we can offer her a CCTV solution with motion detection detection, so she gets an alert whenever anyone goes in. The cameras also come with 2 way audio, so she can hear and talk to her staffs through the cameras.
The cameras also have infrared/15m night vision. With our WiFi bulbs , which can also be controlled via the same app. immediately she notices any movement she can turn on the lights in the poultry, all from her mobile phone.

With this i cant explain any further why you need a cctv installed in your home and office, if his home was empty and he had activated motion detection , he would have actually been alerted immediately they broke in...but all is well that ends well!!.
Though back up power is a major issue when installing your cctv , we recommend getting the most basic inverter, these cameras dont really consume much power. We also have an indoor camera which can be powered with a power bank.
