Zoharariel: Do not allow her abort the pregnancy. Get her mother's phone number without her consent and text her the following:
"Dear Mrs. so so & so,
Blessings of the kingdom to you & your family in Jesus name. In this end times, all have sinned & have come short of the glory of God.
Your beautiful & virtuous daughter (insert her name here e.g Ada) is pregnant and contemplating abortion.
The bible warns us against abortion in Psalm 127: 3 - "Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring - a reward from him"
I am ready to take full responsibility. May Jehovah Selichot - "God of Forgiveness" forgive us our sins - Amen!"
Now, after sending her this sms, switch off your phone for 3days and inform one of your Uncles about this incident.
You can never go to jail because of this. Ari iru eleyi ri, a fi n deru ba oloro nii. .you said it all bro. Infact you get too much wisdom aswear. |

He's right though but not with a fixed amount. Any lady with her thinking cap on will never want to be a liability, not even in this generation. So the best is for one to have a source of income before marriage no matter how little it could be. I can't even imagine putting on my responsibilities on a man when he has his own life to live too. |
Properties › Re: Help: Crazy Nepa Bill In My New Apartment In Ibadan by bookorlah(f): 7:45pm On Mar 30, 2018 |
Which area do you stay in ib? Jawshua: I got inspired to write and pursue this after reading this post here:
www.nairaland.com/4424406/how-customer-stood-ground-against/
Now to my story.
I moved to a new house in Ibadan in May, 2017. The building has 7 flats and I occupied one of the flats.
On moving in, the landlady told me that she already paid for 7 prepaid meters for each of the flats and they will be installing them as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, the transformer of my area was faulty from May till December 25th, 2017. It was eventually fixed by the community, not PHCN (NEPA).
Then, in February of 2018, the man who collected the money for the prepaid meter brought some Nepa bills for each of the flats saying that we need to pay #3000 each for "loss of revenue". This fee is to cover for the power we're consuming pending the time that our prepaid meter will be ready.
Also, we'll be paying #2000 monthly per flat while our prepaid meter is processing.
I said no. The others tenants also stood their ground.
This man then went to bring more officials to justify his actions. This time around, they added that they can remit the money for us.
This is a new house and it's obvious that they are not being truthful.
The receipt they gave us is not attached to any meter number. No A/C no. Nothing. Just a stamp that contains a name and phone number.
I see this as daylight robbery and corruption because it's obvious that they are deliberately delaying the prepaid meters for their selfish interest.
What steps can I take to correct this?
These guys are threatening to disconnect my power supply. I'm not bothered because I use a solar inverter to power my flat.
I just want to let these guys know that they are wrong. I want to take this up.
I've the phone numbers, email address, and address of IBEDC. What are the steps to take before I write a petition and start this long process. |

Thanks as I await your response. Solitin40: The two countries are good but Australia is more expensive than Canada but the visa to Canada takes time and Canada will only accept 2.1 while Australia will accept 2.2 use the web for the differences |

Thanks for this info, so kind of you. God bless you lusen: Before i came to Australia to commence my studies, I always ask if I will be able to pay the second year tuition through savings and intensive work as i could only afford the first year fees (no thanks to our falling naira). I always wonder why nobody gave me a straightforward answer until I came here and got to know I was only asking a jamb question. Truly, its a difficult question to answer as what worked for Mr. A might not work for Mr. B.
Yes, you can get a Job to feed yourself and pay for accommodation. It's really gonna be hard if you wanna pay school fees yourself. Its actually very possible if you are the 'hustling' type. There are people doing it. But definately, you mustn't be lazy, unnecessarily choosy nor Lilly livered. You must be strong. Very strong.. Generally, i will say, if you can afford only one year tuition, take the risk. You never know what God will do.
Note that about 70% of jobs here will require you to have a car. Bring your driving licence and plan to buy a car as soon as you land. Bring lots of money to settle down(as much as possible). By my observation so far, Aged care/disability jobs is the best for international students. But most times, one must be certified before he/She can be employed in an aged care facility, meaning you should also try as much as possible to start the course after settling down.
Yes. truly, one should enable to find schools around the cities where there are greater job opportunities. I av peeps in the cities that are changing jobs like diapers. work full everywhere. Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and the likes.
I'm not in any of the cities I listed above. I'm in Geelong. (one hour from Melbourne). But its okay by me because apart from the low cost of living, I will grab my extra 5points when I finish my studies and start processing my PR. geelong is considered a regional area and no 5 extra points for those in big cities.
If your plan is to stay back after your studies. You must make sure you are coming to do a two-year program minimum. Also the course you are coming to study must not only be on the SOL/CSOL list, It also should be a course you think will 'stand the test of time' on the list, so you won't wake up one day and discover your course is nowhere to be found on the list.
Australia is a very beautiful place. A multicultural society. The people are very friendly. They keep smiling at you like you just won 30billion.
hope I've not written too much epistle.. Okay let me drop my pen. cheers! |

Romance › Re: How To Know Ladies That Will Become Lazy And Dirty Housewives by bookorlah(f): 7:21am On Apr 19, 2017 |
tosyne2much: This article is an eye opener to all the "love is blind" guys, and I want to use this medium to thank you, oga Wristbangle, for this educative write-up even though many ladies will have you hated. I must confess that I learnt a thing or two from your write-up. Thank you oooo
Let me also add mine and keep the ministry moving.
9. They come to Nairaland to Advise their fellow Ladies against Broke Guys
Most ladies you find on social media who are quick to ridicule or refer to any hustling dude as being broke or talk about their hatred for broke guys are usually potential lazy housewives. These are ladies that don't see any future in a man just because he can't afford to dish out his hard earned little money for them to buy perishable parameters. They have no special abilities that can be exhibited to either better their lives or make money; they have no gifts and talents, no goals, no dreams and ambitions in life. Just decisive them that you will open supermarket for them or promise to take them to Dubia and they're all yours. They spend time looking at the mirror and how to enlarge their butts and bosoms just to attract the best of chairmen. Their only ambition in life is to get married and sit their asses down at home while the man struggles his life out. They don't want to build a future with any man but only want a man that has prepared eba and will only invite them to come and wash their hands and eat without knowing the stress the man went through to get it done. They usually justify their laziness by saying a man is meant to provide for his family not a women. Only a man without goals or visions go put that kind women for house.
10. They are ardent lovers of elaborate Wedding
They are easy to spot by the way they talk about marriage. Since marriage is their only achievement in life, they always talk about how they can't settle down with a man that earns less than N100k per month; they talk about how flamboyant their wedding will be and will frustrate any man that initiates a low key wedding; they talk about their love for already made men and will always throw themselves cheaply at these men; they have no jobs but will talk about how they can't settle down with a man in a two bedroom apartment; These are ladies that don't even have up to 10k in their bank accounts but want an elaborate wedding of two million Naira. They have lost all dignity of womanhood and wouldn't hesitate to date the husband of another woman. They attend other people's wedding and will return back home discussing how the wedding gown of the bride is of low quality and how her wedding gown doesnt match with her shoes. Any man that marries these types of ladies will only go back from frying pan to fire.
My fellow Nairaland guys, I pray that we will not fall into the hands of these daughters of Jezebel Thank you very much for this write up, God bless your brain. |

Business › Re: Who Has Been Able To Buy Dollar At The Inter Bank Rates Of 253-260 Today? by bookorlah(f): 12:21pm On Jun 21, 2016 |
Best explanation so far, thanks bro. stagger: Note the bolded. Unless you are a bank, you cannot buy at that rate. That is the rate that banks will buy from the primary dealers (who are banks anyway). In other words, the big banks in Nigeria who will be the nominated primary dealers will sell to other banks at the interbank rate. That is what it is called INTERBANK i.e. between one bank to another.
When your bank now buys at the interbank rate, they will now sell to the end-users at a profit. So if your bank quoted you at N319, they will make a profit of 319 - 260 = N59 to the dollar.
Usually, if you are buying huge amounts of dollars, then you will get it cheaper as per bulk purchase. So if you are buying $100,000, then your bank may offer you at 310 or 305 because the volume will compensate for the discount.
If you are buyng smaller quantities such as $1000, the bank will give you an expensive quote. Visit any forex trading ECN platform to understand it. Even in globalized forex trading, a true ECN platform will show price quotes from several liquidity providers (the equivalent of the primary market dealers) and the prices are never the same.
Those who think the Naira will appreciate under the present circumstances are dreamers. Naira will only appreciate when the country becomes a net exporter as opposed to a net importer.
If we had schools and hospitals which can attract foreigners to pay in USD, it would have helped. If we can export all manner of products as opposed to only crude and small amounts of charcoal, cashew, etc, then the Naira will gain.
Until then, you will not be able to get Naira at below 300. That I can tell you for real. |
