GooseBaba: It's not your fault... Sebi your parents follow que for embassy to give you "American born"... Patriotism or no patriotism finding solutions is our main goal, not lamenting on her short comings....after you point out all the problems on the Internet then what.!?
Start with your government and not me. They had scholarship and were retained by a government that appreciate her citizens hard work. Merit and not who you know. If your government can not protect life and property, why should I do that? Dana airline crash that killed innocent Nigerians, what has your government done for the family of those that lost love ones? In return they granted flying permit to that same Indian airline, is that not an insult?

GooseBaba: So because we see things differently on this issue that means I am in Nigeria looking for visa to cut out...you are short sighted....
You sounded like Bankole the opportunist. Play patriotism movie for those dummies and then milk them dry while they are drunk. grin grin

manny4life: Yes, that was an unfortunate YET isolated incident, after all, eastern Nigerians who are wealthy have companies in the east and still transacting their business. There are tons of Nigerians who have gone home doing the same thing. My point is, the more we continue to bitchh about it, nothing fruitful will come out. If we want change, we have to be about it, you have to empower yourself before embarking on it.
A USA trained physician was killed in Benin two years ago, his case is now forgotten.

ifebosco: i carry a european passport too for more than 10years now,i still see my selve as nigerian and strongly believe we are going to reach there one they
Dude there is no such thing as a patriotic Nigerian. Give those scumbags ranting on NL yankee or European visa, they will be the first to say *Baba God I Thank You oh* rumor has it that Odili built a world class hospital in South Africa. If Nigerian politicians and business men see no reason to seek medical help in Nigeria, you expect me an American born Nigerian to do same?
TravelRe: How Long Have You Lived In Diaspora & When Are You Returning Home? by bootlegaz: 12:14am On May 26, 2013
manny4life: Lots of Nigerians abroad often tend to disdain those hardworking folks in Nigeria. Honestly I give more credit to Nigerians with their suffer head than the ones here. Despite all odds, they make a living in harsh working environment AND the unfriendly economic policies, social vices and menace isn't helping. I still believe Nigerians abroad can change Nigeria i.e. if we have the will power to work together.
What about the American trained professional that went to enugu to build a diagnostic center in Nnsuka and was assasinated? Boys ain't smiling in that harsh environment.

Fuelish: GDP ni, PDP ko. grin answer that stupid question yourself. what is your gdp per capita? hope you know what GDP per capita means, huh? Let me educate you.

GDP per se does not tell much about a country, especially when that country is so endemically corrupt. You know why? GDP is simply an aggregate of goods and services produced within a defined socio-economic environment. in the case of nigeria, your GDP is anchored on oil revenues. the problem with a country like nigeria is that while on paper you earn so much in oil revenues, in reality these revenues end up in the pockets of a few. I hope you can see the futility of using the size of GDP to meaningfully assess how a country is faring. The United Nations Human Development Index is a better barometer of evaluating the wealth and well-being of a state and its citizens. I am not surprised therefore that nigeria is so poorly rated on the UN Human Index.

For example, how many nigerians have access to electricity, potable water, good roads, quality education, personal security, access to basic health care, gainfully employed, life expectancy, poverty level, access to affordable food etc. that will give you a better idea that just quoting some meaningless GDP figures!
Nigger are you sure you are not a Nigerian public university graduate posing as Ghanian? Your response to my question is very evasive. Can some one get me an intelligent Nigerian or Ghanian to answer my question? most fhuck boys here may not score higher than 200 on GMAT.

gerald09: Nigeria is a beautiful place to make money with so many thing yet to be developed n exploited, most Nigerians are lookin for just 2 thing
1. Working for the government
2. Working for an oil company

The laziness of our youth these days is epic. Yes the government have failed us, insulted us and degraded us, but the problem is that these government are made up of the same Nigerians, the civil servants are made up of Nigerians. when I say laziness I don't mean only for working I mean laziness in all forms, from using initiative in creating to their readiness to change.
Most of the so called educated youths still believe in d primitive ways of making money in Nigeria n refuse to use d basic common sense God has already bestowed on them. Nigerians in Nigeria spent 80% of their time in church praying for success to dem and their family and use the rest thinking of how to spend that success, and they do absolutely nuffin to see that dat success comes to past.
They all say they want Nigeria to change but honestly how many Nigerians are really ready for change, if Nigeria shuld change a lot will be affected
1. Constant light which in turn will reduce the amount of witches they see cos of constant darkness.
2. Looting will stop or be greatly reduced which I don't fink Nigerians are ready for yet
3. Police No go collect bribe again which will affect Nigerians who are use to giving these bribes
4. The rule of law will be followed perfectly which in turn will affect 80% of government worker who only stay @ their jobs for 3hrs n d rest claiming to be busy either having sex or being in church praying for his/her millions coming.
Just last week my brothers n I tot of a great way to advertise in Nigeria, it cost less than 20k to start up nw our business has grown by 40%. Its all about common sense. The Nigerian youth now expect the government to always explain why A is for Apple, half of them are busy fighting an already lost battle (religion and tribalism) let me tell u a secret to have a successful business anywhere in d world especially Nigeria u will have to understand that your employees are ur biggest clients catch dem while they young for small jobs u can employ university student and teach dem how to fink. No country started like the garden of Eden, most went through worst than Ѿε̲̣̣̣̥ are n dey came out on top. Look @ d entertainment industry, 20yrs ago will Ѿε̲̣̣̣̥ have eva believed that is will go these far but it did, in Nigeria, so why do they fink nuffin can work.
Dude you nailed it.
BusinessRe: Is Nigeria Untapped And Ready For Outsourcing? by bootlegaz:
My people should learn how to debate in a civilized manner, must one use vulgar language to prove a point? The Ghanians on this forum seems more civilized. A guy above raised an important issue, why insult him as if same topic have not been visited before? We can't live in denial for ever.
BusinessRe: Is Nigeria Untapped And Ready For Outsourcing? by bootlegaz: 7:14am On May 25, 2013
ghananotnaija: Outsourcing doesn't require perfect English but definitely decent English, which most Nigerian graduates do not posess. Neither do South Africans, and especially Kenyans. Educated Ghanaians, on the whole, speak better English than educated Nigerians. I have been educated only in Ghana and found that I am on a different level in basic language skills as well as technical skills compared to my counterparts educated in Nigeria. The Nigerian education system is in shambles. Foreign-educated Nigerians wouldn't want to work for peanuts in outsourcing.

But before that, unreliable power supply and endemic corruption makes Nigeria one of the least attractive places for business outsourcing. I'm not trying to put Nigeria down, only to bring some reality into this conversation.

And yes, Ghana is better than Nigeria. In almost every way: infrastructure, political stability, leadership, rule of law, social harmony, education, health care, environment.
Dude, I am a Nigerian and I am not shy to say you are absolutely right. According to Fela, "majority of the general populous are suffering and smiling". Nigeria is lacking in basic amenities, and most people insulting you thinks development is measured by the amount of revenue a country generate from selling crude oil. Our educational system produces cult members. A freshman in college can not predict his or her year of graduation, how sad can that be?

9jadelta: see this mumu. how many people can speak fluent English south africa . even in usa, how many can speak good English? i really dont understand people like you with bad complex. am sure you are from ghana. how many of those banku face id.iots can even speak english in ghana let alone perfect english? if nigerians start bashing ghana now, it will be as if they hate ghanaians. what exactly is your problem that you cant shut you big mouth or cut off your fingers if you don't have anything positive to contribute?
Guy you for reply the Ghana man in broken English, make you no dey fall our hand here abeg. Your inability to articulate english grammar proficiently shows he is right on point.....Next time abeg make you allow some one else reply "charly"since your yarns dey make am sound intelligent.
