Take our fore fathers for example. Do u agree that the world is gradually loosing it norms and values?

Politics / Re: 10,000 Megawatts To Be Generated By Dec – FG by Born2beRich1(m): 10:25am On May 24, 2013
CFCfan: THE federal government, yesterday, disclosed that plans had been concluded to move from the present position of power generation of 4,500 to 10,000 megawatts by December.

Speaking when she appeared before the Senate Committee on Power, Steel Development and Metallurgy, led by Senator Phillip Adudua, PDP, FCT, Minister of State for Power, Hajia Zainab Kuchi, told the senators that the federal government had completed the process of privatisation of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN.

Kuchi, who disclosed that N347 billion was required for increase in transmission of megawatts, said the generating and transmission companies could not be handed over yet as the ministry was poised to ensure that they were in good shape before their hand over to the successor companies.

She raised alarm that the handover had been hampered by lack of fund, adding that the ministry had been running on zero allocation.

The minister noted that some six months into the 2013 fiscal year, the Ministry of Power had been running on N5 billion, being the remnant of its 2012 allocation.

Hajia Kuchi assured that there would be no problem paying for labour, adding that government had enough in its coffers to pay by July.

Chairman, Senate Committee on Power, Senator Philip Aduda, who noted that Nigerians were no longer ready to take excuses for non-availability of electricity, said people were running of out of patience. (patience Jonathan? grin grin)

What you should have asked yourself is::: why would bishops and deacons be urged to be husbands of one wife and then the rest of the congregation is left to amass wives like solomon??.........

It didn't occur to you that at that 1 timothy 3:2-6 it was nt only being a husband of one wife that was the requirement for men reaching out for the oFfice of oversight..many other pre-requisites were to be met.....and they are...
_______________________________
2 A bishop then must be blameless, the
husband of one wife, temperate, sober-
minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to
teach; 3 not given to wine, not violent, not
greedy for money,[b] but gentle, not
quarrelsome, not covetous; 4 one who rules his
own house well, having his children in
submission with all reverence 5 (for if a man
does not know how to rule his own house, how
will he take care of the church of God?); 6 not
a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall
into the same condemnation as the devil.
7 Moreover he must have a good testimony
among those who are outside
, lest he fall into
reproach and the snare of the devil

Here is the list:::: a bishop must be

##husband of one wife

##temperate

##sober minded

## must be of good behaviour

## not coveteous

##not a drunkard

##not be violent

##must be gentle

##must be one who presides over his household in a fine manner

Would it be right for me to say that since these requirements are listed out for bishops and deacons then the rest members of the church should be the antithesis of those qualities listed??.........

You cunningly singled out just ""being a husband of one wife"" and discarded the rest...

Should other members of the church be drunkards, thieves, lovers of money, not presiding over there house hold, belligerent, fighters etc??......

nepcham: @OP, I think you should be perfectly convinced with the scriptures quoted above by some of our brothers in Gen.1:27 where God created one man and one woman. If God had wanted Adam to have more than one, was He not the creator? He could as well created as many wives for him (Adam) as He wanted. Also, Jesus reiterated the mind of God concerning marriage in Mark10:6-9. He. Said from the begining, God join in marriage only one man and one woman, and so even now, when we are getting marriaed, the man and the woman are to separate from their extended families so that the two of them can build and raise another family. He also said that the TWO not three or four shall become one flesh. With a warning that nobody should separate the TWO. Are you looking for where it is written "Thus saith the Lord thy God, thou shalt marry only one wife"? Definitely you won't find it in the whole of the Bible, but a careful study on the above scriptures with revelation from the Holy Spirit will bail you out. Thanks.

Thank you...

You said it all..

Religion / Police Arrest Fake Bishop, Prophet Over Foiled Kidnap by Born2beRich1(m): 9:54am On May 24, 2013
TWO men, sus-pected to be fake pastors, have been arrested by the police in Warri, Delta State over a foiled kidnap attempt on the proprietress of Shammar Children’s School, Udu Road, near Sedeco area in Udu, Mrs. Onyi Ikemefuna and a pupil.

One of them, Anslem, claimed to be the “Bishop” of a Pentecostal church in Warri, while the other, Joseph, purported to be a prophet.

The suspects were, yesterday taken to the church allegedly run by the “bishop” for a search of the premises.

A source told Vanguard: “Luck ran out of the duo when the proprietress, who initially reported the kidnap attempt on her, petitioned the Area Commander, Warri, alleging that the police at Enerhen Division collected N2 million bribe to pervert justice.”

She said in the petition, dated May 20, 2013, by her lawyer, Mr A.E. Efole, that the fake prophet, who claimed to be working for the “bishop” was apprehended in her school when he came to kidnap a pupil in her school under the guise of coming to give prophecy to her.

“On May 15, 2013, at about 9.45 am, one of the suspects, Joseph, came to our client’s school and introduced himself to one of the administrative staff as a man of God from Voice of God Prayer Ministry, 40, Peter Odili Road, off Trans-Amadi Slaughter Abuluma, Port Harcourt and requested to see the victim. The administrative staff said the victim was not around.

“Consequent upon that, the suspect became agitated, which made the administrative staff to corner him into a privacy to know why he was in that mood and he confided in her that two of the victim’s staff are planning to kidnap her, which they attempted the day the victim travelled with all the school people, but that the plan was foiled due to God’s intervention.

“The supposed man of God also revealed to the administrative staff that the victim would find herself in a big predicament due to jealousy by others. He was entreated to wait, but he insisted he has to return to Port Harcourt that same hour but that he could drop his phone number.

“When the victim returned at about 11.00am, the whole episode was narrated to her and she opted for the phone number and got in touch with Joseph who eventually agreed to return from Port-Harcourt since he was already there with the understanding that the victim would foot the bill.

“To the consternation of the victim, within an hour after the last conversation with him, Joseph called to say he was already from Port-Harcourt and was at Enerhen Junction and that he wants to see the victim privately and when coming out from her office, she should be with a little child to make the prophecy more efficacious.”

“The victim having assured him of the privacy he opted for, yet would not see him, she came out and saw a Toyota Camry car light brown in colour facing Udu Road with some one in the driver’s seat and another occupant at the back right hand side of the car and called his line but he refused to pick.

“Nevertheless, after a while, the victim saw a young light complexioned man with a Bible in his arm whom she eventually ascertained to be Joseph. Joseph became very uneasy due to the victim’s hot interrogation, which made her furious, hence she raised alarm and at that point, the standby car sped off.”

“Consequent upon this, Joseph became afraid and he agreed to confess if only he would be allowed to go and the police not invited and the victim agreed. He started saying that it was a bishop whose church is along DSC Express Way on the Ovwian Express that sent him to come and kidnap her and a female pupil for ritual for the expansion and growth of his church, while money would be extracted from the victim’s family as ransom.

“At this, the victim decided to call Enerhen police and Joseph repeated same confession before he was taken away,” the lawyer stated.

Our source said after the arrest of Joseph by the police at Enerhen, the “bishop” was invited, but he maintained the suspect was a mad man, who always goes blackmailing him, and a woman who claimed to be Joseph’s mother was allegedly brought to corroborate the lunacy story.

He added, “After some days, Joseph was let off the hook by men of the Enerhen Police with conclusion that the victim was mentally deranged, a situation , which made the victim to petition the Warri Area Command that the Enerhen Police has compromised after allegedly collecting N2million.”

A police source who crave anonymity said, “Since the arrest of the “bishop” on Wednesday evening, some influential persons have been mounting pressure on the Area Commander, and our boss had to switch off his phones at a time.”

Sports / We Don’t Need Confed Cup, Amodu Warns Keshi by Born2beRich1(m): 9:45am On May 24, 2013
Nigeria’s technical director Shaibu Amodu insists that the Super Eagles’ main target should be qualifying for the 2014 World Cup, rather than trying to win next month’s Confederations Cup.

The African Champions will face Tahiti, Uruguay and Spain in Brazil in the June tournament which doubles as preparation for the South American country for the hosting of next year’s World Cup.

But Amodu, who was in charge of the Super Eagles when they finished fourth in their maiden Confedera-tions Cup appearance in Saudi Arabia in 1995, told BBC Sport: “What’s the point in winning a World Cup dress rehearsal and missing out on the big party next year?

“The World Cup is a crucial one for the country. For us, it is the most important tournament.

“The fans and media expect Nigeria to win the Confederations Cup, but it is less important to the team and country to be honest.”

The Super Eagles are level on points with Malawi at the top of their World Cup qualifying group and face away trips to Kenya and Namibia next month.

Amodu wants to ensure the team is focused on those matches.

“There are tricky games ahead in the World Cup qualifiers and one slip can easily change the complexion of the group,” he said.

“Every game now is a cup final for them and people should stop piling undue pressure on the team.”

Amodu’s comments seem to conflict with the view of coach Stephen Keshi, who told BBC Sport after the Nations Cup success in South Africa that playing at the Confederations Cup was his main target.

“While preparing the team, I had my eyes set on Brazil,” he explained.

“I was confident we would get there but my players felt I was drunk or acting like a comedian – now they believe.”

Amodu wants Keshi and his players, who are thrilled by the prospect of competing against some of the world’s best teams, to put the tournament into perspective.

“Yes, it is good to test yourselves against some of the best teams in a competitive level but it is not a competition to prepare the Super Eagles for better assessment,” he said.

Business / Before You Go Into Forex Trading by Born2beRich1(m): 8:55am On May 24, 2013
Trading Foreign Exchange and Contract for Differences on margin is highly speculative, it carries a high level of risk, and may not be suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to trade on margin and/or invest in FX or CFDs you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some and/or all of your initial deposit(s) and/or investment(s) and may be required to deposit additional funds, therefore you should not speculate with capital that you cannot afford to lose….” – FX PULP

The disclosure above is from a reputable FX broker, FX Pulp. The quote is termed a disclaimer or risk disclosure and it is a regulatory requirement to forewarn prospective traders about what they want to venture into. This is one reason why most are scared about Forex coupled with some unpalatable practical experiences, but I bet this is why I like Forex trading because it gives me the impetus to tread where others fear.

In other businesses people venture into, hardly are they forewarned about loss (not in black and white as in Forex) hence they do not foresee the danger ahead.

Now tell me a venture that you may not sustain loss of all your capital and even run you into debt if care is not taken. I attended a convention recently where a speaker told of his bad experience in bakery business. Around us I see a lot of eatery outlets springing up and folding up in a short while. The reasons are not far-fetched.

According to the speaker he admitted he had no adequate information about the business, hence the inherent risks cannot be well managed and finally eventual collapse. So, it is clear here that all businesses are risky or carry elements of risk, the success of any depends on risk management in the broader perspective.

Same applies in Forex. Many lack in-depth knowledge. In the three-month-course I run I do put training as one of the requirements for Forex trading which translates to being well armed with information and knowledge. I do imagine what goes on in the minds of those who ask me what they can invest and possibly get, when they do not get a concrete answer.

I do parry this question because I see they do not get concerned about what they need to know about it. How can anyone be thinking of the amount to invest in what you do not know much about? This is one of the areas we fail in Forex and possibly other ventures.

It is noteworthy that Forex surpasses all businesses in the sense that, you can beforehand know the ACTUAL amount you can risk (or lose) in your trade(s) and also the ACTUAL amount you can gain.

This is called risk to reward ratio. Nearly all other businesses are speculative in that area.

In the FX Pulp risk disclaimer above, some keywords are spelt out there: 1. Suitability 2. Work for you or against you 3. Risk 4. Experience and 5. seek advice from an expert.

This explained in brief means that you should seek adequate knowledge (training) about the venture from a professional to determine suitability in terms of time, market interpretation, psychological frame of mind etc, who will guide you to know how to manage the risks and see how things can work for or against you.

This reminds me of the formal class training kicking off on Saturday May 25 from 1.00pm for both registered participants and observers who may want to join.

Secondly those who are successful in life are those who take risks but they manage to stay out of the murky waters being armed with the workings of their ventures.

Brokers may contribute to failure in forex trading too but that is why you should seek professional advice. Unlike some years back where brokers can only be reached online, now some have local representation. Luckily again we are having the representation of FX Pulp, a licensed and regulated broker with strict compliance whose platform has a direct feed to the liquidity provider and your orders are executed at market prices. There is no re-quote on orders and your funds are safe.

So why don’t you take and tackle the risks NOW!

Forex market analysis

As of the time of going to press and based on technical parameters and monthly candlestick chart analysis, there is still bullish pressure on GBP/NZD and GBP/AUD pairs. Going long on these pairs could yield good profit. I forecast GBP/NZD to hit 1.9600 area by June ending and GBP/AUD also in 1.6400 region. Happy trading.

Crime / Pregnant Woman, Husband, Sell Unborn Baby For N200,000 by Born2beRich1(m): 8:40am On May 24, 2013
A 23-year-old pregnant woman caused a stir at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters on Thursday after she confessed that she had sold her unborn baby for N200,000, in advance.

The suspect, Adaeze Mba, who was arrested for conniving with her husband to sell their neighbour’s four-year-old son for N400, 000, said it was poverty that pushed them to crime.

She confessed that she and her husband, Chibueze, had sold two other children for N700, 000.

She said, “In March 2013, my neighbour’s son, Stanley Ezeaka, was following me about in the compound at Jakande Estate and it was at that time that my husband received a phone call from his partner that she needed a child for sale. My husband then suggested that we took Stanley even though he was a bit old.

“We travelled to Imo State the following morning and sold him for N400, 000 after which we relocated to Calabar.”

When asked why she took to crime and how she would feel if someone bought her own children, she said, “I am seven months pregnant and as I speak to you, my husband has already sold our unborn baby for N200, 000.

“I was against it but he convinced me to agree to it, saying he had already collected the money.”

When asked about the other children she and her husband had sold, she said, “The male child was sold at N400,000 while the female child, who was two months old but is now over a year old, was sold at N300,000.”

Chibueze on his part, said he went into the business last year. He said he had sold ‘only’ three children to his business partner, Benedicta Ogbonna, and maintained that the children were in turn sold to caring parents and not ritual killers.

He said, “One of the children was born by a mentally challenged woman; so I have committed no crime by selling the child to people who would take care of her.”

Ogbonna, who bought the three children from Chibueze and his wife at different times, said she sold children to bAREEN.

She said, “I am doing this business for humanitarian reasons and not for monetary gain. I am 35 years old and I have four children. I can never sell my own children and in fact my husband does not know I am into this kind of business.

“Chibueze brought Stanley to me and told me that his mother was a prostitute so he sold him to me at N400, 000. I then sold Stanley to Mrs. Patricia Anibogwu for N600,000. So far, I have sold only three children. I buy boys at N400, 000 and girls at N300,000.

“I use the money to take care of people and also invest it in my business. I sell shoes for a living at Anambra Wholesale Market.”

Anibogwu, who was the final buyer, said she thought Ogbonna was an employee of an orphanage. She said she bought Stanley because she was lonely having lost her husband.

She said amid tears that, “I was married for 28 years without a child. After my husband died, I decided to adopt the child because I was lonely. Someone introduced me to Ogbonna. Ogbonna told me she worked at an orphanage and would sell Stanley to me for N600, 000.

“I used my savings to pay for him and she brought Stanley to a roadside. I took Stanley home and started taking care of him like my own child. I changed his name to Uchenna. Ogbonna promised me that she would give me legal documents later but, unfortunately, I was arrested.”

The Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, urged parents to be vigilant and also advised childless women to go through the formal process of adoption rather than buying children.

She said, “In March 2013, one Caleb Ezeaka reported at Ilemba Hausa Police Division that his son, Stanley, had gone missing the previous day, adding that he was last seen with his neighbour, Adaeze Mba. All efforts to reach the neighbour proved abortive as she and her husband had disappeared and their phones were switched off.

“Through investigations, we traced them to Calabar and they confessed that they had sold him at N400,000 to one Benedicta Ogbonna. We traced Ogbonna to Anambra who then said she had sold him to Patricia Anibogwu for N600,000. So we arrested them all.

“Adaeze and her husband, Chibueze, confessed that they had sold three children to Ogbonna and they were also rescued. One of the children was sold when she was three months old and she is now a year and three months old.”

kokosheen:

I've respected your posts for a while but disappointed on your stance of picking sections of his argument to dodge a good debate.
You’ve disparaged posters for gloating over the senseless killings and blamed the entire thing on the president (retardeen), while he argues that blame should lie with the state government for not controlling the marauding cattle nomads. He also went further to give an example of a state governor taking action, so why do you refer to him as being ignorant? Wouldn’t it be better to allow logic win him over to your point of view (wetin concern me sef for this argument)
Anyways, my views are that the Fulani herders are too quick to kill people who are not from their tribe as they see them being less than their cattle. There should be a stop to their bloodletting and damage to people’s livelihood. Unfortunately, their marauding is creating another monster in the Ombatse.
I lived with Fulani (the ones that actually own cattle not the city ones) for a year (NYSC) and they don’t respect us (Yoruba Muslims) so don’t get your head in the cloud.

Thank you

@bolded, your ignorance on the matter is obvious, no need to debate with you.

Bro, i only explained my own point of view with points and facts but if you cant provide your own points to prove me wrong you would have just said so...There was no need for using negative words...

However, i will not succumb to exchanging words with you but i wish you the best in whatever decisions you make in life.

Enjoy.
