This is the sack that takes up to 100 plants. The soil is changed after every 7 months. It needs watering thrice a week and each sack requires a total of 20 litres of water weekly.
Do you really need to change the soil every 7 months? How about if you keep manuring and adding fertilizer?

Nursery are needed for tendering of the seedlings at early stage to ensure proper development.. I am not a fan of nursery though, they slow down plants development after transplant and I hate it.
So, is growing my seeds in the nursery compulsory??

My make shift nursery doing well. Sweet pepper appears to love the soil, does better than the tomatoes. I got some giant beans growing in the nursery as well.

Meanwhile, I went to dezengov recently and had a feel of materials used for their green house... Very much like the shaded net.
What's the importance of a Nursery? Can't I just plant the seedlings straight in the sack farm?

Having registered over 2000 organic farmers planting soy beans with a ready market this season, in the wwoof organic farm certification program. I will seize this opportunity to share with you the methods our farmers are using to combat pests. It's cheap and very effective. You too will benefit from it.

NEEM PESTICIDES (DONGOYARO)
Today I will be sharing information on how you can make your own organic pesticides that's very effective against over 200 pests with a common material in our environment called dongoyaro (neem)

Hope we know all about health issues associated with synthetic pesticides. So this is sure our best option.

STEP1: Get enough fresh dongoyaro leaves (neem leaves) and pound in a mortal, you can also blend it or grind it.

STEP 2: Soak the leaves with water and cover for seven days
Make sure you make enough for your Napster spray

STEP 3: Sieve the conction and keep aside.

STEP 4: Mix 4 tablespoons of neem oil in a bowl of warm water containing small amount of black soap (a teaspoon) make sure you have a good mix.

Pour everything into the neem water conction and mix properly. Use Napster spray to spray properly on your crops at least twice a month.

If you need the neem oil

How neem oil deters chewing and sucking insects
There is a nice story that demonstrates how grasshoppers react to neem oil insecticide. It goes something like this: Someone did an experiment. It involved two jars, two leaves, and two grasshoppers. One leaf was sprayed with a chemical insecticide, and one with neem oil. The two grasshoppers were put in the two jars, with one leaf each.

The first grasshopper ate the leaf and died almost instantly. The grasshopper with the neem oil covered leaf did not touch the leaf and lived. At least for a few days. Eventually it starved to death. What would you prefer? A poisonous half eaten lettuce, or an organic, untouched lettuce? It's a no brainer, isn't it?
Nice.

There was this guy who always visited our house whenever we were not around(between 12pm - 4pm). He most times forced his way in no matter how strong the doors are locked. As a Surveillance Engineer myself, i decided to install a camera that looks like halogen at the top of the house.
Unfortunately for him, the camera caught him in his next visit. He is presently at the remand home at Oregun. Thank God for the video evidence, the case nearly went in their favour.

Incase you are faced with such scenarios/occurences, do not hesitate to install one. Its very useful if you really want to know what has happened in your house while you were not at home. You can also watch it live from your phone or laptop anywhere in the world.

Enjoy the small bit i cut out from the 1 hour video.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: How To Find Unadvertised Jobs Using Google by bosunjohns(m): 5:43pm On Jan 26, 2016
bodeoni:
Most job openings at most companies go unadvertised—that is, they're posted on their site, but they're not farmed out to recruiters or posted on massive job boards. That also makes them harder to find. Thankfully, Google can do the job for you. Use these search strings to uncover matching gigs.

The market for new jobs is so competitive that most companies don't see a need to spend a ton of money hiring third-party recruiting firms or posting their jobs to the top of big job boards just to get candidates to apply. Between internal referral programs and word-of-mouth, posting a job to the company's "Careers" page is usually enough. To uncover those unadvertised openings, all you need is a little Google-fu. The folks at the Glassdoor Blog explain that all you need to do is cast your net over the major employee applicant tracking systems that companies use to post and manage responses to their job postings

Do you know what an applicant tracking system is? Wikipedia defines it as “a software application that enables the electronic handling of recruitment needs.” As a jobseeker, you refer to it as the electronic blackhole that eats up resumes. Specifically, it’s the system you interact with when you apply for a job on a company careers website. One of the more popular applicant tracking systems is produced by a company called “Taleo.”

With a little help from Google, you will be able to search company websites that are using the Taleo system. In this way, you will be able to find jobs that are not posted on (insert leading job board name here) and have an edge on your competition. Let me show you how.

In the Google search below, I am asking Google to look only on the Taleo.net website (where their system hosts various unadvertised jobs that are typically obtainable when a jobseeker does a search on a company’s careers website). I do this when I search: “site:taleo.net” Afterward, I ask Google to find only those webpages that have “careers” in the title. This is what “intitle:careers” means. Finally, I add in the job title “programmer” because that is the job I am looking for. Of course, just adding a job title is giving me too many broad results. I narrow it down by adding more keywords like “SAS” and “macro.”

In short, to search all sites using Taleo, for example:

site:taleo.net intitle:careers JOBTITLE OTHERIMPORTANTWORDS

Repeat the process for any other applicant tracking systems you know are in wide use, like Kenexa's BrassRing (brassring.com) for example.

Standard 3 bedroom all ensuit will chop you around 50 bags of cement, 2000 blocks and around 800k for a good aluminium roof (wood included) the block estimate I gave you includes the sitting room, kitchen, store, visitors guest rooms. The cement I gave excludes the one for making blocks as I assumed you will buy the blocks. The cement is for chalking the blocks, laying blinding, flooring, plastering, lintels etc. Cheers.

EducationRe: See How Facebook Drastically Improved My Son's Grades In School by bosunjohns(m): 6:14pm On Sep 21, 2015
bigmill:
Dear Nairalanders,

I read a post last week wherein a Nairalander mentioned the positive impact of the internet on his daughter's health. I am here to give my own testimony, but this time, the positive impact of the Internet on my child's education. This is very notable to me because many people, especially those who believe in hardwork are always too quick to point out the dangers in the Social Media, particularly, Facebook. My son is attending one of the best secondary schools in Lagos and to be honest, the teachers are doing so much there that I couldn't think of a better school where my child could be more improved. At a time, the mother and I thought his grades were ridiculous because there were so many brilliant students in their class. We made several visits to the school where they made us know that they had already spotted him as being far below average and had since concentrated much effort on him.

To our dismay, none of the 'efforts' worked. We decided to try him on assignments for lower classes but he failed woefully. Two home tutors stopped coming abruptly when they noticed they were not getting any improvement to justify their pay. We got worried that even if we were able to push him through secondary school, he might never be able to cope with any higher education. I decided to speak to my Pastor's wife (not on spiritual grounds but because she is an educationist and also owns a school). Surprisingly, she referred me to a Facebook group of educational consultants. Right in the church, she opened her phone and invited me to the group. I had no internet access at that moment, so I promise to take necessary steps on reaching home.

Still with great unbelief, I decided to give it a try. I was accepted to the group and I was able to post my son's problem. Within three hours, I got great hints (which even my son's teachers had never thought about). I was a little skeptical because the most convincing contributor's recommendations required about six weeks of intensive exercise for us and the child. To cut the whole story, the solution to my son's problem came from a Facebook group and the most outstanding fact is that I didn't spend a dime. It is just as if something was cast out of my son. Now he even reads in the loo and answers questions like a genius... I have made personal contact with one of the consultants to give my testimony but I decided to share it here to corroborate the fact that the INTERNET CAN RESHAPE BLURRY DREAMS... Use it wisely
