TruthsFM: Ibadan alone has over 30 private and public radio 📻 companies and you are here comparing Ibadan to Onitsha. You are out of your mind. Never in your life compare ibadan to Onitsha. You can compare Onitsha to Ado-Ekiti, I will agree with you and not ibadan that host over 30 radio 📻 stations with thousands of staffs collecting salaries from these radio 📻 stations. One of the things I love about ibadan is that, ibadan is well arranged and its master plan is highly superb. I will start a thread in ibadan this week and all of you will stop comparing ibadan to modernised Onitsha village. Besides how many population are in Onitsha. Onitsha is never a densely populated city but only lucky to have factories in Anambra State. Ekiti State even has an airport now. Dude,,you can’t even compare Ibadan to Nnewi.. Not to talk about the almighty Onitsha!!.. Come off it mahn!,Ibadan is just large (wide expanse of land) filled with filths and brown roofs. Try another joke of a comparison buddy! |

Romance › Re: Have You Had An Encounter With A Mad Person?? by Bouncing2(m): 11:55am On Sep 11, 2023 |
Hamachi: Some days back, I was out for a stroll and while returning, I decided to sit back in the bus stop waiting for the bus, as it started to drizzle. I had probably been sitting there for about two minutes without looking up. When I finally do, I notice a guy on the corner about 20 feet away staring intently at me. He’s hunched over facing me in the classic zombie pose wearing a large coat and gloves. I didn’t know how long he’d been standing there, but it was day time and the area is relatively populated so despite being the only people on the street, I wasn’t too worried.
I went back to looking at my phone, but kept discreetly glancing in his direction to see if he was still there. He didn’t move or stop looking at me for probably another minute of a half, just sunken shoulders with his unblinking eyes pointed directly at me.
Before I have a chance to look up, the zombie is sitting within an inch of me on the road. I’m a polite girl so I give him a vague smile while my inner self and personal space are screaming at me to get up and leave. He asks me the time, so I let him know and he just continues to sit there still.
I can’t fight my manners so I ask him if he needs something and he gives me a gloved double-thumbs up and stares at me. I ask him if that meant he’s good. To which he responds with another double thumbs up. I assume that was him saying he is all good. I turn back to my phone. He then begins laughing, like full belly laughing.
Deciding he was probably drunk, I didn’t really know how to respond so I tell him to have a nice day and proceeded without batting an eye. I stepped as close as I could to the road to give him the majority of the sidewalk to pass me by.
I took my eyes off of him to cross the empty street. As I reached the other side, I glanced back and then stopped dead in my tracks. He was standing with one foot in the street, perfectly parallel to me. He was facing me but still looking skyward. Smile still wide on his lips.
I was completely and utterly unnerved by this. I started walking again, but kept my eyes on the man. He didn't move.
I was so shocked that I stood there for some time, staring at him. And then he started moving toward me again. He took giant, exaggerated tip toed steps, as if he were a cartoon character sneaking up on someone. Except he was moving very, very quickly.
I'd like to say at this point I ran away or pulled out my pepper spray or my cellphone or anything at all, but I didn't. I just stood there, completely frozen as the smiling man crept toward me.
And then he stopped again, about a car length away from me. Still smiling his smile, still looking to the sky.
When I finally found my voice, I blurted out the first thing that came to mind. What I meant to ask was, "What the hell do you want?!" in an angry, commanding tone. What came out was a whimper, "What the hee…?"
Regardless of whether or not humans can smell fear, they can certainly hear it. I heard it in my own voice, and that only made me more afraid. But he didn't react to it at all. He just stood there, smiling.
And then, after what felt like forever, he turned around, very slowly, and started dance-walking away. Just like that. Not wanting to turn my back to him again, I just watched him go, until he was far enough away to almost be out of sight. And then I realized something. He wasn't moving away anymore, nor was he dancing. I watched in horror as the distant shape of him grew larger and larger. He was coming back my way. And this time he was running.
I ran too.
I ran until I was off of the side road and back onto a better lit road with sparse traffic. Looking behind me then, he was nowhere to be found. The rest of the way home, I kept glancing over my shoulder, always expecting to see his stupid smile, but he was never there. Your writing is f*king gooood |

georgeakins: Yoruba land that every Ibo is desperate to relocate to.
How many people are relocating to cursed Ibo land? None, except Ibos!
Only Ibos still live in Ibo land because it is underdeveloped. Lagos is being flocked by all and sundry.. Lagos was developed by the collective efforts of the federal government and well meaning Nigerians.. I can categorically tell you straight that apart from Lagos,,Awka is way more beautiful and developed than every other place in your brown roofed republic! Beat that fact!! |

Sanguine: Deactivated my Whatsapp status so I don't even have access to post or see any status at all. I'm not interested in knowing whatever is happening in anybody's life.
Changed my Facebook to basic mode. I don't see any pictures of anybody and anything, just captions. Hehehe.
Uninstalled Instagram.
Enter YouTube Once in a while to see skits from TheWinlos, latest movies from MZFP, etc.
Social media is what it is; fake life and ingredients on display here and there. I am very frugal, minimalist and rather anti-social. My life is JustSimpleLikeThat.com 😜
MODIFIED. To deactivate Whatsapp Status; Go to 'permissions' in your phone Whatsapp settings (app info). Disallow or deny 'contacts'. You will no longer see status updates from any contact.
The side effect here is you will no longer be able to view your Whatsapp contacts except the ones in your chats. But that's fine for me. I basically only chat (when necessary) on Whatsapp.
I have a whole life outside Social media. So I minimalise my social media engagements as much as possible. Plus it saves me a lot of data for more important things. So it's a win-win situation. Hehehe.
Know what works for you and stick with it. ✌️ All this for only you!?🤔 Even dangote nor do reach laidis🙄 U nor geh data jawreeh!🙃😁 |
