First off the good bits:

Direction: No lies, the direction was good even too good for a Nigerian movie. I guess we might have been criticizing our movies without even watching them but the directing in this one was good. There was even a well done long take that I'm not sure I've ever seen in a Nigerian movie.

Editing: Professional.

Acting: Nothing spectacular but it served its purpose especially Baba and the guy from Australia.

Cinematography: Good enough. Scenes were well lit. Colour was good.

Story: If I was to rate the story alone, I would give it a 7.

The bad parts

Chemistry: There was no chemistry between the two main characters to suggest the type of relationship they had.

Writing: This is the main problem we have with our movies. This one especially was littered with expressions only Americans or whites would use. Our writers need to know the lingo suitable for a movie.

Makeup: Especially where characters were bloodied. We really need to learn makeup.

Overall, the movie was slightly above average though at some points it felt stretched but looking back at what used to be made and what is currently being made, it is clear we are trying to improve and I think it's a good thing.

I didn't download but streamed instead. Wasn't even aware it was connected until I saw Annabelle in the movie.

Do not let your reason for choosing a course with internship is because you want enough time to work.

You might be disappointed and frustrated if you eventually don't get place for internship. Let your primary aim for internship be that your want to put acknowledge again during your studies to work in a practical work environment to gain international work experience which for you would contribute to your career prospects.

I got siblings who got placement and the other didnt get. Your institution would primarily try to get a place for you but its left for the company to accept you. The rule of UK/Eu citizens first always apply.

Like some said, have a plan B C and D.

Internship placements are NOT automatic. And if you don’t have an internship placement, the 20-hour rule applies to you.

If you know someone currently on that route at Northumbria University, London ‘branch’ kindly ask.

Work placement is full time just like hosey said. 20 hrs doesn't apply and visa renewal/extension not affected.

Be careful, very careful.

I will strongly recommend that you go for it. If you work 2ce as hard submitting applications with a convincing CV and cover letter, anything can happen. I know 3 ppl from same uni who got placements. Also be prepared to go anywhere in the UK if you find one.

Your school can also help providing details of employers looking for interns. If at all at all you know see, some universities recommend doing abroad also.

The first mortgage adviser I used told me bank declined cos of the tier 4 visa. I switched adviser and she did it differently and got an offer.

I had to go check what called Tier 4 visa, its had to keep up ......lol. Wow mortage with a student visa , that was brillant . I wonder what the value of the property was . I would have though mortagage with a Student visa would be a big NO. My Russian friend is trying to get a 450k mortage and banks have said no, she has to wait for her husband ILR

Makes sense. Id put everything into perspective but might add one more CC just as a backup. I don't envision using past 20% of my CC for my monthly expenses except for perhaps one-off purchases.

I run some stuff back home and I'm still wondering if there's a way I can transfer funds from my CC back home. Not that its something I hope to do always but I do like having access to backup cash just in case something pops up.

you don't pay interest for like some months....sometimes upto 2yrs....giving you time to pay off your debts....the banks make money with the hope that after that 2yrs, you are still owing money and then you start paying them interest. but you pay a transfer fee or transaction fee of maybe 1.5- 3 or 4%

Go to Manage your Credit Card - Register your credit card and fill in the details. Photo ID and Bank Statement needs to be uploaded. It will get rejected if your bank statement doesn't include the last 4 of the 16 digits so you need to scan your card and erase the first 12 digits. This needs to be on the same page as your statement. Then select 'No' since u no dey do multiple payments.

Hello, please do anybody can help me home office direct number please. Am just worry now, it's already 5 weeks send off my application with documents but all documents return back after 3weeks without my passport and no biometric letter request yet.

If I request for a letter from my HR, it will usually take a day or 2 sent via email. Guess you will have to check with your HR how long it will take and proceed from there.

Contract is optional. Payslips and letter from employer is def required.

Can I apply for these supporting documents from my employer now or should I wait few weeks to when i'm to submit my application?

People path are different , some have used Career Insight for training , but that too. I have seen that worked for some people and seen others that did the program and nothing came out of it, and their structure can be information overload all over the place......... . meaning what works for A might not work for B. What i can say , what ever program/ training you just clear your schedule and give it your best . Some people have paid nobody and self taught themselves (google and Youtube) and packaged themselve. lol . you just have to research and find what path works best for you

I guess you have to be patient till they send a letter to do your biometrics. You should have opted to use the new system where biometrics is done same day and not that they will hold on to your passport.

You can possibly call UKVI customer service and see what they say.

You need to run from a solicitor who isn't aware that a degree in UK already meets your English requirements.

You have initially made a spouse visa and nothing has changed requirement wise (unless you've not done your research. UKVI guidelines scatter all over google) so not sure why u doubting.

I will be making my application for FLR(M) some time in June this year. I was told by my solicitor to take some English test (B2) which got me confused...

I got my Engineering degree and Masters in the UK and did not do any other English test when I made my initial 2.5yrs spouse visa application....
why do I now have to do an English test just to renew my spouse Visa?

I just need a second opinion as I believe the solicitor is wrong about this, but am not sure...

How did you apply? Didn't you use the new system where you upload docs and passport(s), book appointment and do biometrics on the spot?

My question is; I applied to renew my resident. I just received letter after 3weeks together with my original documents and my passport is not include but my worry now is that I never receive letter requesting my biometric

1) Wouldn't be an issue as it supports you career aspirations

2) CAS issued will normally include a justification of how this represents academic progression in order for you to fulfil the academic progression requirement. Even though on the courses are on the same level, ECO will be aware even though s/he doesn't know the difference. Some do write personal statements so clarify but up to you.

3) No maintenance fund required as she doesn't require a visa

Greetings to Justwise and other kind hearts in the house. Please i need your advice. I studied in the UK for my MBA fifteen years ago and finished my ACCA ten years ago. After which i returned to Nigeria and has been working since. Now i want to go for a specialist Masters in Project Management, i work for an organisation that builds and manages power projects, i presently do project accounting but intend to go in to core project management as that pays more .

Now my questions are as follows:
(1) My MBA is a Generalist masters, will going for a second Masters program in Project Management be an issue in terms of the academic progression progression requirement because i already have a Masters qualification from the UK in 2004?

(2) Secondly do you think the ECO will understand the relationship between Accounting and Project Management? Although i already got admission from some good Universities. My desire and career goal is to be a Project Manager even though am a Certified Accountant.

(3) Thirdly i would like to know if i need to provide for Maintenance Fund for my child, she is a British Citizen through my husband. She will be travelling with me but my husband won't be.

To answer your question, it's not a requirement to prove where he stays. If you however have kids, you need to meet children's care and accommodation rules.

My hubby currently lives with his friend in Scotland, UK and also has another accommodation in a priest big house in St Andrews which is far from school. But he prefers to stay in his friend place which is close to school but my concern is submitting where he lives since its not his own direct accommodation..

A friend told me it's not necessary submitting where he stays as that worked for her

Yes there are if you do your research but not for all courses. Usually first year is a taught programme while second year is a work placement / Internship.

your local garage. I used Halfords when i had to replace mine, but friends said i should have just used any local garage. They can buy the lexus parts themselves
