bug24: I don't think I'm in a very good position to tell much about the problems, as there are already million solutions to it. So, all I can give is just an insight. . . I guess older versions before Internet Explorer 7, were not developed to support what is called "PNG alpha-channel transparency ". However, developers have found various ways of going around the problem with what is called "PNG Hacks". As I'm not in the best position to discuss this, I would copy one of the ways of working around it found from a website. . . "Up until IE7, there has been no fully native support for PNG alpha channel transparency in Internet Explorer. However, since IE5.5 there has been some support in the form of proprietary filter called the AlphaImageLoader. Internet Explorer filters can be applied directly in your CSS (for both inline and background images), or by setting the same CSS property with JavaScript. " Read More (From http://24ways.org/2007/supersleight-transparent-png-in-ie6 ) other resources to read from are: http://css-tricks.com/the-different-techniques-for-applying-the-png-hack/ http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/alpha.html www.twinhelix.com/css/iepngfix/ these should be useful enough in putting you in the light of it. Just to note, It is good to design for cross browser compatibility as one of the aims of a web design project is to drive traffic as much as possible and not so many folks upgrade their or update their softwares. So, while many aspiring designers/ developers would only design with latest browsers in mind, it is good to try as much s possible to go across borders, |

The only track that would have given Ruggedman multiple awards was that "a word is enough for the 9ce". But so bad, it is a diss track. I don't know ruggedman could have time to diss like this. . . He's just deceiving himself. |
Webmasters / Re: I Need A .png Background For My Website by bouzymill(m): 9:00am On Jan 19, 2011 |
Since you said you're just learning, and you've just got to making ".png files", i guess you should have known by now that older versions of "IE" doesn't work with transparent files unless you add some png hack codes. . . |

if you are really seriously about blogging and generating revenues through your blog, you need to invest in it. . . the theme of your blog is great but people would just get into the page and just browse by like it's another random page on the internet. What you need is a fully customized blog which is Visual Interface would make visitors get glued to the page. . . You need to speak to real designers/developers to get exactly what you want and get advice on the financial aspect of the whole project as to how to generate revenues. |

hax: brah!!!! it's cool you rep the realness. . . i don't know about your previous post. though i can see it now but. . . to me, discovering artists who make my kind of music is even an art to me. I dig just like the way Producers dig for samples and I love doing it. I've got the two Shad's albums (The Old Prince and TSOL) and since I discovered both Rose garden has been my favourite. It's cool you listen to real hiphop too. . . and i'ld usually watch out for your reccomendations. . . Brownteeth: Mehn!!! there's this kinda argument in some quaters that there's nothing like "real hiphop". . . their defence is Hiphop is Hiphop. However, what most people call hiphop today is not the "real" hiphop. . . it's better to add that adjective "real" to lay emphasis. BUt the question what is real hiphop? bruva. . . I can't explain like that. All I know is when I see real hiphop, I know it. . . maybe that's not too clear, that's what I can do for now. . . |

Truth be told!!! Modenine F!cked up big time. What the guy said isn't that. Maybe that caught him at the very wrong period but whichever way it is. . . THAT WAS NOT JUST RIGHT!!!! I know for sure Modenine doesn't like critics. He hates criticisms. I've heard him say something like "I hate critics who don't do what I do". . . or something like that. Guess that's his flaw!!! anyways. . . too bad! |

Music/Radio / Re: Slaughterhouse :: Dopest Lyricists by bouzymill(m): 1:42am On Oct 17, 2010 |
This is one of the few good and "make sense" threads I would want to drop my opinions. . . cos I've read intelligent posts so far!!! In My Opinion ================= When these guys formed the group around december 08 or 09, can't really remember. . . I read it online, before "Slaughterhouse" the album came out. . . these were my thoughts that . . . out of the four MCs, Royce Da 5'9", Crooked I, Joel Orttiz and Joe Budden, I'm a staunch follower of two of them (5'9" and Crooked I) and I know for sure they wouldn't form a group with just any average MC. . . I believe Four of them are dope MCs. They are like the "contemporary" (for lack of more appropriate word) type of "EMC" (Wordsmith, Punchline and Masta Ace). The aspect where "realheads" would have issues now would be style of each MC and their history. . . and this is where my sentiments against Joe Budden comes in. I have come to respect him more in slaughterhouse though, I really think he's my lowside in the group. He's a good MC. MM Mixtape straight dope but Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. I don't like Joe Budden. He's not just my kinda MC. and it's like that for a lot of people I have asked. It's either they don't just like him or they hate his style. I think it is wrong, in my opinion, to place Budden before 5'9", cos, that nigg!h Royce is the closest thing to hiphop in the group. . . I believe it is after him that comes Crooked I, who to me has been a topnotch lyricist since the days of me listening to ChinoXL. . . I always love his collabs with Crooked. Joell Ortiz, I can't really talk for him but I've heard few of his previous joints to know he's above average. . . MY favourite ofcourse of all the four is Royce Da 5'9" and the most favourite track from him is "HipHop" produced by Premo!!!! bu for real. . . maybe joe budden is average or below or crooked is wack or not. . . the "slaughterhouse" album is maaaaaaaad DOPE!!! and those guys came correct in the album!!!! |

1. I never knew you could actually copy and adjust an existing logo 2. There's even nothing Like a freelance company. . . Freelance is freelance. He/she is companyless, that is why they call it freelance. how and where do you pay tax? Grin Grin Grin 3. That's how everyone gets jobs. But some are so established they gets jobs from people who just visited their online portfolio 4. what is integrity and value? well. . . . whatever. I'm really sorry but this doesn't show any professionalism to me. Let us assume you've been asked by a client how much you will charge to make a logo for his/her company or let's say a full corporate identity. the kind of answer you gave would set the person off. How much does it take to download a vector software, even the best of them, Adobe Illustrator, with the help of torrent site, to one's system? what do you mean by "I give you a logo that is designed for you"?, are you saying, you are also a professional copywriter? the fact that you studied fine art doesn't sound like an aswer to any client who will be willing to pay 100k. I'm not saying you've not done a job like that or you can't, cos definitely I don't know you. . .So, I can't judge your work. I believe showing professionalism comes from telling us what your project process or design process is. . . what do you do before even jumping on the "vector software". It's a pity most freelance designers today just hop on the software and think yes they are designing. . . to make a lasting design just as in people like Paul rand, 60% of the work must have been done before even touching the computer or switching on the "vector software". You can as well tell us you were the one that created the GTBANK logo or AFRIBANK LOGO or the MTN logo or the GLO logo or the DANGOTE logo or the ELEPHANT cement. If you had said this, I might be sucking your feet right now. . . or better still, you could have answered by saying, www.gharra.com is my website. Check my online portfolio to know why I'm collecting 100k for just a logo as a freelancer. Logo design is just a little part of Corporate Identity which is just a part of Branding as whole. So, Iit is definitely much more that just saying you use a "vector software" or you studied Fine Art, especially if you did it Nigeria. . . Last time I checked, there's no Branding course in n Fine Art programme of Nigerian universities, I don't know about now. So, that partially renders your Fine Art background useless, though, application of colours and History of Design might sound like something you passed through in school. BUt, if truely you get this kind of money for logo design as a freelancer, then, it's a goldmine you dont want to be talking about here, cos some pros would take those client and use mouth to charge them 400k. . . |

BUt, if truely you get this kind of money for logo desing as a freelancer, then, it's a goldmine you dont want to be talking about here, cos some pros would take those client and use mouth to charge them 400k. . . |

gharra: I'm really sorry but this doesn't show any professionalism to me.
