peacesamuel94: It is not compulsory for them to have bodyguards, but to some extent it is necessary, like I said before for crowd control when in public places not because of fear.
God does not pre-arrange untimely death gor His children, He said His thoughts for us is to bring us to an expected end. And about myles Munroe , don't judge a book by its cover........ Public reputation is not the same as being righteous before God, there are a lot of things we don't know so let's not make assumptions.
Going to heaven is good, but fulfilling our days and achieving our purpose of being born should not be sidelined. So you shouldn't aspire to die untimely because you want to go to heaven. If coming to earth was not important, you would not be here in the first place. For the sake of emphasis God is after our longevity not the other way round. The question here is 'ARMED' and not "crowd control" as you logically mentioned in your comment. You cant use AK 47, Pump Actions and Missiles to control crowd, you can only use those weapons to fall attackers. I believe in fulfillment in life as well and i dont think any reasonable person will wish him/erself untimely death except if he is frustrated. So, thinking that as a Man of God or public figure; going out without armed men is suicidal, is something I dont want to subscribe. You sounded just that with your emboldened statement. |

peacesamuel94: ...
Lol, Pst Ayo, oritsejafor was not my of focus, the point I was trying to make is that there is nothing wrong for pastors to keep bodyguards, as Long as their reasons of hiring them is genuine and Not for unnecessary display of extravagance. Its fun anyway. But am of the opinion that there is no need (call) for Armed Body Guards for Pastors or Men of God generally... My people say that: "Iwa omo lo mo omo shay okigbe"... meaning 'your character prompts you to seek traditional bulletproof'. As far as am concerned, if you believe in the security of God, security men will be useless. And if God says one (probably a man of God) will die thru bullet or assassination, he can never escape it. Munroe did not die peacefully na, and he was a (good) servant of God. As a believer (most esp. man of God, you should know that if peradventure you are being attacked or killed by human beings, the kingdom of His Highness should be more paramount to you, so whats the essence of security men? my view tho! |

nkemdi89: Let me clear on that, the police men on duty referred were the normal police men attached to banks on bank duty and they are not more than two, the robbers were repeled and deterred from gaining access to the premises or the customers as they never expected any bottle neck in the ops, the men on duty had to call for reinforcement and that was why sars on patrol had to come WHAT IS THE SOURCE OF THIS UR OWN VERSION PLS?, before then the robbers had already escape, normally in a crime scene its also pertinent for arrest, elicitation and interview to be conducted. Exchange of gun fire may not necessarily mean you get your target, or they may even escape with gun shot injury. My sister, are you referring to this same story or you are just framing another one to suit your guess? The @OP writes: "a four man armed robbery gang to rob a bank customer" |

nkemdi89: Those robbers may have come to that place based on a tip off by people living around there, robbers don't just attack a place they will also mount surveillance in order to study their target, understand the terrain, also study the traffic movement for escape route including both vehicular and human, also the security consciousness and alertness of the people around the place, that black spot is a good environment because it's a common breeding ground for othe,in which they can possibly take cover and go unnoticed, thereby accomplishing their task before execution. "The gang which came on a Toyota Camry WHERE IS THE TOYOTA CAMRY? drove away after they were engaged in gun battle MEANS GUN SHOTS EXCHANGE, WHERE ARE THE GUNS RECOVERED? by the police men on duty and police teams from allover the city AND THEY COULDN'T NAB THE ROBBERS EXCEPT SOME BOYS THAT WERE JUST SMOKING...DATS MY POINT SIS! led by the area commander Acp Francis Bissiong" MAMA! Dont you think that those robbers wouldnt have gone to such place immediately after that particular operation. logic is better than guess. Foreign Affairs › People In Germany Are Now Being Paid To Consume Electricity by Boyooosa(op): 3:42pm On Nov 07, 2016 |
I just read this report online and I was like: 'and in Nigeria, we are struggling with 3,032MW?' while in Germay they run in GW (GigaWatts). No be small thing o Well, we will get there! My FEAR is just that 'May God just help us make Buhari the right leader we seek' because Even if given all the Resources, without appropriate management, everything will disappear and it will be left with times like this #Recession #NoBlameToPMBTho People in Germany are now being paid to consume electricity The price of power in Germany briefly dropped to -€130 per MWh on 8 May Germany had so much renewable energy last week that customers were briefly being paid to consume electricity, it has been reported. As spotted by Quartz, who cite data from German think tank Agora Energiewende, fair weather and high winds on Sunday 8 May saw wind, solar and hydroelectric power plants producing 54.6GW of power, roughly 80 per cent of the 68.4GW of power being consumed across the country at that time. As a result, the price of power plummeted, and went negative from 7AM to 5PM, bottoming out at -€130 per MWh at 1PM. Energy providers were essentially being paid by producers to take the electricity off their hands. The reason for negative energy prices is partly down to inflexibility in the system. With renewable sources producing so much energy, some conventional power plants were taken offline temporarily. However, nuclear and coal plants can't shut down quickly, and it's often cheaper for them to put out electricity at a loss than go through the process of stopping and restarting a few hours later. Unfortunately, renewable plants can't power the whole country all the time. Companies which use a lot of electricity wouldn't have been operating at their normal rate on Sunday, and the good weather resulted in the sudden surge. On a normal day, however, renewables produce under half of all the electricity consumed in Germany. The Centre for European Policy Studies think tank believes the grid needs to become more flexible for the transition to renewable energy to be successful. Currently, renewable plants producing a lot of energy on bright and windy days have to push it into the grid, resulting in inefficiency and these negative prices. But with improved grid management and power storage technology, sudden spikes could be handled better.
