Deadliest snake in the world is not black mamba. You have to consider the saw-scaled viper and king cobra before vipers.
Even the taipan is deadlier (only that they are endemic to australia and some parts of asia). Maybe you meant to say the deadliest snake in Southern Africa because black mambas are not found in West Africa.

Half-baked research

Well, it's not the fault of ACEGID that just 1% of the population is tested. To run a covid test, you spend between 20-40k. What do you say of a country where the minimum wage is not sufficient to run a covid test? Should the people run a test and then die of hunger? The country is economically messed up already. God has been kind to us. Fact remains COVID is not as virulent in Nigeria as it is elsewhere. We might not have sufficient data to work with but we all can sample our communities. How many people died of covid related complications in your neighborhood since it became a pandemic?
I also believe that the new strain was discovered from series of tests they ran, probably not by deliberate research.

If NDDC is part of the research, they should be responsible for broadcasting it. However, as far as I know ACEGID, it is an independent research centre and NDDC contributes nothing to the research being done their but depend on them for results.
The best they can donate ACEGID is to publish their findings in a journal and not to make a public broadcast.

That lab is the most equipped molecular biology lab in Africa. They tested and and revealed the status of Patrick Sawyer. Even the USA embassy prefer the result from the lab than from Washington DC because it is both reliable and fast.
Mane are asking why they didn't speak up since. If they didn't speak up earlier, it is because they do not want to create panic as they are not the legal authority to broadcast that without the knowledge of NCDC. They probably raised the alarm to the government. However, what would happen if they create a panic? Would that have stopped the spread or would that have created a vaccine?

I am from the west and I lived in the north for close to a decade. I have seen the evil and persecution Northern Christians experience.
You might want to wonder why Kaduna is so divided and violent when it comes to religion. The population is divided among Christians and muslims. They both detest each other and can fight to the death. The only christian governor they had was killed in a plane crash and the idiots took to the street to celebrate his death!
That is the caliber of extremists northern nigerian has. What has this evil government said about Leah Shuaibu?

It's hard but christian southerners should still pray for the unity of Nigeria. The reason northern Christians still enjoy some level of security is because of the unity of Nigeria and the watchful eyes, shouting tongues of southern and western Nigerian christians.
As soon as this country breaks, northern Christians will be persecuted and executed legally without any defense. At that point, we would wish we never broke up and we will start sending missionaries and foreign adi to our brothers whom we were careless to abandon when they needed us.
