I don't really know this guy but I know some ethics in journalism and this goes against it. I think he was pushed by the recent news about 5million dollar mansion in the US but this shows his immaturity cos he finally came and confirmed what Nigerians have been saying that saharareporters are a one sided media house. Their major ambition is bringing the Jonathan govt down. What if GEJ is voted out and someone he prefers is voted in, what will happen to saharareporters afterwards? This really confirmed that he is being sponsored by APC.

Good story, he really had a wondeful childhood that's if the story is true. Especially meeting the generals and other political prisoners and the football stars. But I know some people will still see something wrong with his story. That shows how unhappy some people are with themselves. They always fail to see the fun in things

mallam mentality.. Whether they r a world power is no excuse. If we cannot build simple tanks den our engineers and scientists are useless. I googled arabs and ud be shocked what they build, same wif indians. Chinese, even libya inder ghadaffi was buildn hi tech machines( those useless oyibos killed one of africas best leaders), SA is building ie the whytes there etc what's wrong with the black race. Biafra was the only time the black man started creating, perhaps wed have been miles ahead by now.

The aprtheid last leader in a speech made some remarks about the black race ie only good for marryn wives, sex, and making babies. Never manipulating his environment to suit his needs, rather just existing.

Our useless ambassador wasn't evn ashamed to accuse US. Like US owes us a duty to sell arms.
First of all I'm not a mallam and not from the north and I wouldn't have replied you cos I see people that insult others as children.
If you read my write up you will see that the place we differ is when it comes to US oweing him. We can decide to build ours but cos Africa keeps depending on them for aids we wouldn't do that so that we won't provoke them. That's why I stated the anti gay law whcih they are not happy with us. We have a long way to go. What about the fact that we are not begging for the aircrafts but buying them?

He made a point which is that he has had his fame, he doesn't want power, he is retired from active politics. Look at the likes of IBB, he has retired from active politics and therefore isn't making to much noise. The people criticizing and undermining are tthose that are still power hungry e.g OBJ. They don't have the interest of Nigerians at heart, all they want is power. But they can continue to do so. GEJ has his own cabals working with him and whenever he leaves office, this cabal will also give any govt that comes after hell except they are working with him. We don't have patriotic politicans what we have is a bunch of selfish men. The worst of them all are the NGOs and so called human right activists who let themselves to be used.
PoliticsRe: Why Tinubu Dumped Buhari For Tambuwal by brainpower(m): 5:21am On Nov 15, 2014
Story for the gods. Buhari will be given the flag to contest as APC candidate and Tinubu and some politicians will betray him which gives the PDP victory. We know Tinubu's antecedents and we know Buhari can cry foul. I pity my governor who let himself to be dragged into this. I have been trying to picture Tinubu working with someone he doesn't entirely control and it seems impossible, I have also tried picturing Buhari or Tambuwal or Atiku working with someone they don't trust entirely. Let's wait till their primaries and see what happens next. I repeat, this is their best chance of winning Aso Rock, if they fail, then they should all retire from politics.

Here I was thinking that he wanted to give a clear and unbiased way to go above this oil price decline and once again I was proved wrong. He raised good points though but he didn't fail to bring in their usual PDP vs APC battle and blackmail. A typical example of enriching the rich which he accused pdp of is Lagos State. The govt schools are suffering, those living in the slumps are either chased out or are still suffering. He controls almost every govt investment in lagos state. The atlantic city and banana island and lekki etc are not meant for the poor. I will only hope they keep telling us how they will change the country by coming out the way he did. I like it and that's what nigerians are asking them to do but he spoilt it with his progressive and conservative speech. Why was fayemi voted out? Was it not cos he was more of an elitist governor? Anyway these are his ideas, they may be good or right they may also be bad or wrong. We shouldn't forget that the president is working with seasoned economists.

CelebritiesRe: 2nd Term Declaration: Omotola Blasts Jonathan by brainpower(m): 11:04am On Nov 14, 2014
Since there's no evidence that APC sponsor boko haram then I can rightly say that they stand to gain more from this insurgency and which they have been making good use of. Therefore, I hope they win cos boko haram and GEJ through little loopholes have given them good campaign points. But if they end up not winning, then they should all retire from politics cos so far they have not given us good reason to believe that they are better apart from promising security whcih they know an average Nigerian wants.

Since they claim that PDP are the main sponsors of boko haram( though their body language seem to sympathize with boko haram) then it means Nigerians should actually be scared of APC ruling cos PDP will bring down the full force of their boko boys on APC govt.

They should tell us what they have for us and not playing politics of blackmail. When they lose now, they will refuse to blame themselves forgetting that they were not able to convince Nigerians that they are better.
As for Omotola, she is entitled to her opinion. Afterall she don chop belle full. But there are other celebs that have a different opinion from her own. Her question could also be put this way: why is it that whenever GEJ wants to do something that will promote him as a politician, bomb explosion goes off?

Where was Adefuye when America was learning how to make weapons? See as the man is talking like USA owe him a duty to protect his country for him.
My brother, technically US owes him protection cos they are the world power and get involved where any country is being threatened by war or violence. Boko haram has been designated a terrorist group so US should come in. And moreover, we want to buy these aircrafts, its not dash as so to we won't return them in good form. They are ours.

America is just beating about the bush. They killed Gaddafi in cold blood, they were sponsoring ISIS before but now ISIS has gotten out of control. We refused to legalize same sex marriage and thses are the reasons why they stopped buying our oil and don't want to sell arms. If we decide to build our own military equipments they will make sure they frustrate it with the help of the UN. US are opportunists and every country in the world can see them as such and that's why they facing so much opposition.

CelebritiesRe: Stones Thrown At 2face Idibia's Mum Over Village House by brainpower(m): 10:00am On Nov 13, 2014
Why didn't the Pa micheal build before he died? Tuface can decide to build whenever he wants to build and shouldn't be forced to build, actually he can decide not to build at all. Atleast we know he takes care of his responsibilties and family so maybe his father never wanted him to build when he was alive. And as for his mother telling him not to build, in as much as she denied it, there's nothing wrong with it. She knows these villagers so well and knows that it is of no use now. It is senseless to say she stopped him, she would have stopped him before he even started the foundation of the house. So money constraints stopped him which doesn't make him broke but in his priorities there is no use going out of his way to build a house that nobody will live in at that period of ebola and not to forget that he probably paid all the bill of the burial alone.
FashionRe: Does The Kind Of Hairstyle You Keep Define Who You Are? by brainpower(m): 2:36pm On Nov 12, 2014
Personally I don't have anything against it but I think the problem is mostly about maintenance.
For instance what are their reasons for condemning you? When you keep afro, you have to always comb it to make it look good thereby carrying combs in your pocket everywhere you go and since guys don't always carry bags the comb will be showing from your pocket. So how does it look being seen always with a comb? And the other reason the older folks don't like it is that they feel that most kind of jobs they think is good do not allow people to keep any kind of hair that will attract too much attention. So personally, I feel there should be a limit that's if you are now working but as a student you can do what makes you happy but it can't be allowed in the medical school. Even till now, people don't really see most celebrities as responsible even though they make a lot of money.
So keep it tidy and moderate, not a situation where if you enter anywhere the bad smell of your hair is what fiils the room. So different strokes for different folks.

I think he should stick to journalism. He is saying that Nigerians elected thieves to lead us. I heard he was contesting in 2011 but I didn't know the party. Where was his campaign office in PH? who was his campaign director? How many debates did he attend? He is from the south west and going by our mentality in Nigeria, they have done their 8years, so how come he left these points and started insulting Nigerians? Its not by being popular as a celebrity afterall Chris Okotie is more popular than him, this is a good example to these celebrities that gunning for offices now.
PoliticsRe: What If Buhari Does Not Emerge As The APC Flag Bearer? by brainpower(m): 10:13am On Nov 12, 2014
If Buhari doesn't emerge as the flagbearer I will vote for APC in all levels of the elections. APC are just wasting time, they are not democratic, buhari will definitely get the flag by force. They didn't envisage Atiku coming into the picture, their plan was to give him the flag and use his influence in the north plus Tinubu's influence in the south West to decide the votes. But the recent election in ekiti state has shown that Tinubu no longer wields that much power. APC was formed for that purpose. Buhari isn't a politician, if he losses, he will go back into hibernation till next four years, he's only here now cos he has a vendetta against some men whom he wants to payback simple. May God help us in this country if he becomes president. So if Buhari is not given the flag, APC will disintegrate before the election.
EducationRe: When Poison Expire, does It Become More Or Less Poisonous? by brainpower(m): 7:47am On Nov 12, 2014
I think it becomes more poisonous. Normally in medical field, almost every drug is called poison even if its still good cos taken in the wrong proportion it can kill. So panadol for instance becomes more poisonous when it expires. And for other forms of poisons, it might not be strong enough to do its job but when used for something else, it becomes way more powerful than it was before. And poison doesn't exactly mean its supposed to kill immediately.
PoliticsRe: Don't Allow A Poor Person To Rise To Leadership - Myles Munroe by brainpower(m): 7:39am On Nov 12, 2014
When he said that he was talking about being intellectually poor and which I believe you are aware but just trying to remain relevant in this forum or you are just being mischievous or better still you didn't even understand what he meant.

Fine, let's go with your argument. Buhari had to borrow money to buy his form whixh means he's poor while GEJ had no shoes but because of his wealth of intelligence, he was picked by Alams to be his deputy and was subsequently picked to be the Vice president and later president. We have had cause to believe that during Buhari's reign as head of state, it was Idiagbon that brought all the ideas. So who is actually poor within these two?

Finally, Buhari is a "Major General" and not a "General". They don't play with these ranks in the military, so people should address him properly. Its an insult to Generals to call him General.
PoliticsRe: Why Did Buhari Sentence Fela Kuti To 10 Years In Prison? by brainpower(m): 4:39pm On Nov 11, 2014
barcanista:
When General Muhammadu Buhari came to power, there was wide corruption in the Second Republic. A decree was passed that nobody take out or bring in foreign currency into the country. Offenders are liable to 10years in Jail. This decree was to curb money laundering by politicians and corrupt businessmen.

FELA KUTI
Fela had performed abroad, he was paid in foreign currency in cash and had it on him on his return to Lagos. He was subsequently arrested for breaking the law and was prosecuted, found guilty and jailed.

PLEA:
There was a plea by human right groups to Head of State Buhari to "pardon" Fela, he refused because he believe that the law be served to the letter.

THE OFFENSE, GMB AND FELA:
First, there was an existing law/decree.

Secondly, Fela bringing in cash means it contradicts the law/decree, however, the money is from hard work.
Morally, he's justified! Legally, he is not.

Buhari had refused to grant pardon, because the law was broken. If he grants pardon, some section of politicians will accuse him of preferential treatment. He didn't because he believes in absolute discipline.
By law, he is justified. Morally, he is not, considering that it was Fela's sweat(my opinion). The law does not work with emotion unfortunately.

MY OPINION:
GMB should have pardoned Fela. The law should have made for exception. Buhari should have tampered justice with mercy
Please I will like to know if this reason you gave is your opinion or that's what buhari gave as reason in which case, I will like a link to where I can read or listen to Buhari giving the reason. Though I am aware he never supported freedom of information and free speech and which we know Fela for. Thank you
PoliticsRe: Ken Saro Wiwa And The Ogoni 9 Executed On This Day In 1995 by brainpower(m): 8:30am On Nov 10, 2014
May his soul rest in peace. He is the only Ogoni man that they consistently say was good, every other person has some stain. But I don't see the hype about Abacha here, he was a dictator and such things should be expected of him but the blame should rightly go to Saro Wiwa's country men who betrayed the ogoni people. They are many and some of them are still living. I heard that Magnus Abe's father was one of the people that signed a document that led to the man's killing and if it is in anyway true, what is Magnus Abe doing as one of the leaders of ogoni? The answer is in the fact that the ogoni people are their own worst enemies. They are already divided in the fight to produce the governor of Rivers State. Their leaders are still the ones holding the UNEP report from being implemented by collecting bribes. They will keep crying foul until they fish out those leaders that sabotage them and make sure they don't lead them again.

And for those that are saying that Mohammed Abacha should suffer for his father's sins by not being elected, then Buhari should suffer for truncating Democracy. My opinion anyways.

PoliticsRe: Jonathan's Rating On NOI Polls Declines By 14percent. by brainpower(m): 12:48pm On Nov 06, 2014
If we are using the NOI polls as the basis for calculating the future election then it means GEJ will win the elections. Since his opposition believe he is playing politics with Boko Haram, all he has to do is to order boko haram or wipe them out at the heat of election and claim victory. But truthfully, the majority of the voters have never heard about NOI not to talk of polls. Elections are won in the streets and not online. On election day, most of the voters on NOI will only watch from their phones and homes while those that will vote will be controlled by the stakeholders in their various wards. But I hope things will be different this time.

Finally, Nigerians need change including me, but I don't have the confidence that APC is the one to "bell the cat" for us. If Buhari becomes president he can't probe Tinubu or IBB or OBJ or dangote. We can only move forward when politics of hate and religion and ethnicity ends which I don't see happening soon. So I believe Nigerian election will still maintain status quo.

He should have given it to his younger brother instead. And I think if such a decision is made, it will be behind closed doors in other words I don't really believe the story.

Does she deserve criticisms? No

She's a hero and should be celebrated.
I understand where you are coming from. I never said she isn't a hero but I feel the money would have been put to better use if she took it and gave it out to the needy cos its still those at the glass house that will finally take the money. You wouldn't like a situation where your good intentions are being taken advantage of by those that even deserve it.

If she rejected the money based on some grievances then its ok to leave it with them but since its a sign of goodwill for the country that's why I think otherwise. Anyway didn't mean to offend you. Its a good thing she did, we need more people like her but my take is that she left it in the wrong hands.

There's something not quite right with this story. She worked hard to earn this money and yet she refused. This isn't about patriotism, its about working and getting paid. This is her profession, its like journalists that are employed by the govt to say they don't need their money cos they were happy to have worked for their country. Why not give the money to the needy rather than leaving it in the hands of those greedy men at glass house. Anyway she has her reasons if this story is true o.

American politics is so twisted and sometimes dirty but the good thing about it is the fact that the will of the people is allowed to stand especially during their elections. I wish Nigeria can get to this level of politics where even the common man in the street can predict how things will go based on the facts on ground. We claim to copy America's democracy but we don't play like them.

There are so many communities like that in Nigeria. The fun part of it is that the only reason why they don't steal isn't cos they are all good but cos of the fear of being killed by their traditional gods. Even the so called born again respect these gods and deities when they go to such places. Makes me wonder why they don't use the traditional deities or gods to swear our politicians in.

To me the only reasonable excuse for anyone that's supposed to be there that's not there will be if the person is very ill or has an emergency. This is national interest for heaven's sake, even if you wont say anything atleast go there and listen so you could know how to go about your own state or constituency. Avoiding this meeting simply shows that Nigeria isn't united and this is not cos of Jonathan. If a full scale war arises, Lagos, Rivers, Kano will lose most. I pity this country. If only we will be asking the right questions. I would have asked my governor Amaechi why he went to AIT to continue his media propaganda when there's a matter of national interest on ground. But I know some people will twist it and blame GEJ.

There's more to this defection than meets the eye. She was outsmarted cos she trusted her fellow party members and she evn asked them and they denied that Tambuwal was defecting. But one thing is certain, except GEJ is voted out, there are men that will surely pay for their insolence. This isn't just politics anymore Tambuwal, Amaechi and Kwankwaso took this fight this far and I don't think the fight will end after the elections. Let's keep our fingers crossed and see what happens soon. One thing is certain, if GEJ is re-elected, he is going to be more ruthless than he is now, he has it in him.
