Of course they are. I have a few I relate with on here.

But at the same time, I cut one off because he became unbearably and subtly arrogant and irritating and he is the only one I have ever physically met when I was in Benin for my cousin's wedding.

Cut him off, blocked him, and also told him NEVER to message me again. I did that because he turned everything into a competition, the same person that was pestering me all over the place and bugging me. WHY? He was making some $$$ and feels he bigger than me lol. I have no problem with anyone making more money than I.

I also learned he displayed that attitude to some else.

A relationship is more important than turning these things into a competition but I am sure he is not mature enough to realize that yet.

I knew him before I met HayKay but I can say I and HayKay have had a run at trying to strike deals outside domaining. The last one we did came through me, it was something that involved a $4M transaction...

But somehow I found that the people we were dealing with were scammers. It was BrandUche(another person I met here) that first alerted me and warned me because he is quite experienced in the field. I found it hard to listen initially until another close relative called my attention to it.

We had to pull out.

I am mentioning this because these names here are domainers that I met on here but we have helped one another outside domaining. Money is good BUT BUILD healthy relationships with the people you meet here. It is richer than wealth! Don't just narrow everything like that mumu to domaining and turn everything to competition.

There is a bigger world out there.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Is Studying Physics Actually A Useless Course In Nigeria? by Branduche: 12:39pm On Jul 12, 2021
First note that job adverts this days don’t select course butt only your vast knowledge and experience in that opening available in vacancy.

Second, I studied pure and applied physics, doing my masters in naval architecture, and currently working in an IT coy ( did a data science course here)

You can do anything as a physicist because you are well grounded in the basis of engineering and IT

Don’t let anyone send you back to the village.

I have my mates working in airtel, Shell, airpeace, and a host of others doing well abroad by furthering in physics branches like astrophysics, material physics, marine engineering and geophysics

Don’t let anyone fool you.

Cheers

I am currently a 300 Level studying, I rarely see advert that says Bachelor Degree in Physics.

Religion / Re: Dominion City & RCCG: Changing Church As A Married Woman by Branduche: 10:50am On Jul 04, 2021
Did you attend marriage class at all?
It’s very disheartening to know you are married and very unmarried in your spiritual life.

Work this out

debbycreamy:
Hello nairalanders,

I won't say it's my friend sister or whatever,it's me. It's my question

For 5years of marriage, it's been conflicting about this church matter.

Where in the Bible did they say it's compulsory for the wife to go to the husband's church? I attended dominion city, and he attends redeem (RCCG), I tried for the first two years to follow him to redeem, but I couldn't feel it, every Sunday it's like going and coming from a wedding not a church, that feeling of feeling the Holy Spirit and being blessed is not there, I don't know who understands this feeling.

I talked to him in d third year he allowed me go back to my dominion city, and in d fourth year he stopped me again, I'm a worker there o, now till the fifth year I'm still forced to attend redeem, I have tried my best to open my heart to the church but no way...

Their ways just tire me at redeem, I miss the love, togetherness, prayers, worship and preaching at dominion city. Please I'm sorry I mentioned the name of churches i know some people love redeem, so I'm sorry.

Now for a month now, I have not gone to any church, and I'm tired of the whole thing, please matured advice needed.

Thanks

This is not promo but noise making. SAV sells domains for $6.95 and they are not making any noise about it. Network Solutions, PorkBun, Dynadot, Alibaba and a couple of other registrars have given us promo below $5. Majority of guys here will never forget the netsols $1 promo that ran for months. And here you are calling $6.99 that will last for a day promo

So I have been hearing lots of reviews and reports for over three months about some persons impersonating me to broker some domains for sale using outbound strategy. Making use of my Epik email signature and also my name as the heading to a fake email address (gmail).
its quite unreasonable how people who one helps to cover sales silently by making calls and sending prospects emails just to close deals, do this terrible things behind my back to create confusion in the domaining space.

To whom it may concern
Two domains got verified by your prospective end-users, asking if I work with Epik with that gmail address.
You kept your domains with us and its quite easy to know you did this by just a search to the domain name on the database.

This persons know themselves. I wont call them out here. I will respond swiftly.

Car Talk / Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by Branduche: 9:50pm On Jan 31, 2021
This mazda has timing problems. Fixing it requires a lot of time and work
Philadelphia:

Performance = great for a mid-size crossover suv. I heard it handles well also.

Reliability/ Maintenance = Both goes in hand and I’d say the CX-9 and CX-7 do not have it when it comes to practical reliability.

Fun to drive = Sure it is! I guess you’d enjoy it more on premium petrol. That way, you’d get maximum torque and overall performance.

Overall, it’s a pretty decent car and it’s affordable but resale value is a setback. However, I don’t buy a car for the sake of reselling.

Politics / Re: FG Has Almost Completed The Second Niger Bridge (Picture) by Branduche: 8:36pm On Jan 31, 2021
Good to see the bridge at this stage. but there is a misstep to your information.

In 2014, the project is being constructed under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) scheme. A Consortium JB-NSIA, is working on the project on the basis of Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT), at a total cost of N108 billion. The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) reviewed the concessionaire’s cost of N138 billion down to N108 billion. The project phases will be constructed under Engineering, Procurement and Construction contracts awarded by the Federal Ministry of Works (FMW).
The bridge project has a development and completion time-frame four years from financial close – point at which private capital is successfully raised.

The GEJ Government committed to contribute N30 billion (28%) of the project cost. The remaining 72% will be raised by the Consortium under a 25-year concession. The Federal Government has so far committed N18.31billion. Out of this, N10.4 billion has been disbursed leaving a balance of N7.94 billion. A team of local and international consultants was engaged through a rigorous and competitive procurement process. The NSIA has spent the sum of $2.21 million on consultancy and another $247,586 on due diligence to determine project viability. The first-class advisory services are required to enable the project reach financial close – the point at which private capital is successfully raised.

GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT

If you want me to advise you IMO
Some of us will not like you to do the mistake we made while we started domaining. I will honestly advise you to contact iykepromotions on this journey u wanna start. It's best to start right than pile up a city of $0 worth of domains. If you play a smart one on domaining without the right tools, the profession will smartly play you into recession.

And this also goes out to the newbies..

there is no way Igbos left to neighbouring countries because the borders towards cameroon was closed and no Igbo state borders cameroon and there's also no way Igbos will have left through Rivers sea port because the Nigerian army and navy would have been surveilling that entire area.

the hard times will most likely have been after the civil war ( if what you're saying is true ).

like you said this is a domain thread so let me stop here.

Start finding the root through the chief priest
2sexycom:

Yes, this is true. I recently sold a name. Though, I don't make it seems like I am from a foreign country or use a foreign number. Apart from my English name which is the same on my passport, custom email (name@website.com) and website... that is about it.

A few weeks ago, I had locked this UK guy in and he opted to use Escrow.com, even though I suggested Epik escrow initially. I knew I can only tell him the truth at that point. I told him I am a Nigerian and Escrow.com does not accept Nigeria after the company was bought. I gave him reasons and appeal that we should use Epik.

He sensed my level of sincerity and told me that his wife is actually a Nigerian. He said not all Nigerians are scammers but one still needs to be cautious.

The deal was done via Epik.

I later found out that the wife is even an Igbo descent whose grandparents left Nigeria a long time ago and she can't even trace her root. The grandparents didn't give much information to her dad but they are very sure that they are Nigerians and possibly Igbo based on some strong features. I suspect it had to do with the civil war. Maybe her dad was still a baby when they left because some Igbos were actually airlifted to neighboring African countries.

It was one of the most emotional interactions I have ever had with any end-user and somehow, I was broken when they couldn't get more information so that we can help link back to their root.

Politics / Re: Marketers Kick Against ₦5 Reduction In Petrol Pump Price by Branduche: 1:21pm On Dec 09, 2020
'A' buys Q for 1 naira at wholesale price from government.
Government increases price to 2 Naira some days later.
Retail price pegged at 2.5Naira due to the increase.

Mind you as retail price increases, wholesale price increases from government too.
where government pegged 33000 liters volume as minimum for marketers to buy.
how will 'A' buy at wholesale price from government by selling old stock at old price?

You are proposing he should sell at old stock.
'A' will sell with 1.4Naira and cant be able to buy at wholesale price anymore for 2Naira.

No profit, No business to continue.

Be open minded when making your conclusions.

Moferere:
Independent Petroleum Marketers are big problems that we need to deal with.
If the price had been increased by N5, they would have complied immediately, even with their old stocks
