losprince: The Light House 8/10
Two lighthouse keepers try to maintain their sanity while living on a remote and mysterious New England island in the 1890s.
The picture starts off with an ominous setting, establishing a sense of creepiness and an impending doom, then rapidly descends into a masturbation fest! (no pun intended). My mind was constantly jerked off as I tried to make sense of what lay before me. A movie that doesn't shy away from disgusting frames, filled with well-polished humour, and a story that ropes you in and throws you off a cliff while jerking off to your falling screams.
Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattison put out an impressive performance, I won't be forgetting these crazy pair anytime soon! the cinematography and score was notable, the use of black and white was genius.
The way they spoke in this film has got to be the most confusing and yet hillarious way to speak after brad pitts' in snatch. I could understand them even without subtitles. I couldn't understand Brad Pitt, even with subtitles. |

Born2Freak: I see. But then, it is not true 720p. I noticed this when downloading from tfpdl. The same 720p from tfpdl and my trusted torrents guy are very different in quality.
That HEVC seems compressed Yeah, it's compressed. It literally stands for High Efficiency Video Coding. It's the best way to watch a quality resolution in a smaller size. |

abduleez1: 800mb for 1080p HEVC?? Na lie be that.
I reckon it's typically at least about 1.2—1.4Gb. It depends on the encoding group. PSA group have some of the smallest hevc encodes on the planet. I always go for their 720p because they never exceed 650mb. |
TV/Movies › Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by Bratking(m): 9:50am On Mar 27, 2020 |
Born2Freak: Sharrap. You dey pay for person data? See your wide mouth like 720p. A 720p episode is like 500mb alone. A 720p movie is at leas 1.8 gig. Then a 1080p movie is from 2.5 gig above
360p is good enough sef. A 1080p hevc encoded movie is typically 800mb A 720p hevc encoded movie alternates between 500mb-650mb. Always go for HEVC. it's data saving while giving you the same quality as the original x264 encode. |

abduleez1: Lol, baba na 480p oo..
Me too I suspect the picture quality dull the thrill for me Sha. The biggest mistake people keep making is watching a very visual film on a low resolution. When a video resolution is low, the visuals will also be of low quality, it's not a rocket science. 720p hevc is ideal, or better yet go for 1080 hevc for maximum effect. At this resolution, the sweat pores are very visible. |

As I said I feel it's too much. By quoting him and airing your opinion in a forceful manner, it's tantamount to forcing. I get it, I don't like it either, but I also understand it's the reality. |

SalomonKane: The Devil's Advocate.
This movie is a masterpiece. Fantastic performance from Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron. Al Pacino stole the whole show.
Dialogue was awesome, acting was breathtaking, story was so original and more importantly, this movie amongst many goes to show awesome movies doesn't really require peeshun peeshun.
It's 9.4/10 for me. Al Pacino was hospitalized for severe back pains after carrying the whole movie on his back. |

abduleez1: Lol, I disliked the visuals and Cinematography too, I just forced myself through it cos of Cavill.
I didn't even like the Portrayal of the gods sef, all of them being too skinny and all that and also looking too young and almost same age, without much thought to their peculiarities and looks. I still enjoyed Luke Evans performance though. What video format did you watch the film in? If it was 480p, you done fvck up. |

mekaprime: I so much disliked this movie. Firstly, the cinematography & VFX were horrible, so much so that you can catch a headache (no kidding) from seeing the pictures from the flick. Although story was good but it could have been better. Your review is upside down. Immortals has a mediocre story but amazing cinematography and visual effects. |

Such a cute little film. I'm not one for romance movies, but the comedy aspect drew me to this, and it was worth the effort. Anya Taylor-Joy has really come of age. Girl can act for real. |

Dr7Manhattan: You have to be careful with your reactionary reviews If you give a show like that 10/10 What will you give the ones that actually deserve it? I'm not saving it's bad But it's definitely not 10/10 good I mean c'mon man. Seems like you don't even know what a "reactionary review" connotes, lol. Reactionary review is when a person watches only 2-3 episodes of a 10 episode show and comes online to overhype the show, It isn't what I did bro. My rating reflects the fact that I finished a very insightful show and found it very fulfilling. Initially I was gonna give it a 9/10, but an amazing ending tipped the scales to 10/10. It's a true crime, and totally unscripted documentary tv show with no plot holes. I don't even know what you meant by the bolded. My guess is you don't like documentaries... You're surely missing out on some of the best tv programmes out there. |

TV/Movies › Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by Bratking(m): 4:01pm On Mar 26, 2020 |
Born2Freak: Ogbeni, there are two types of science fiction.
Hard science fiction and soft science fiction.
Hard is scientifically rigorous despite parts of it being fuction. While soft is less so.
Interstellar is a hard science fiction where the physics side of space travel is kept as realistic as possible. Yes, there are parts that aren't possible or real. A wormhole or blackhole will more likely tear apart a spacecraft. The ex machina of a time travelling tessaract is also unreal.
I hope you get my point. I recalled the time you, koicereloaded and beorn took part in a sci-fi discussion when this thread used to be filled with intelligent discourse. I can't recall all the details but I remember Hard sci-fi and soft sci-fi being mentioned a lot, and Interstellar and Children of Men being accurately categorized as Hard sci-fi. I leant a lot that day. |

Born2Freak: Bloodshot 2/10.
Low budget, B action movie. It is like they saved the budget for the last fight scene.
The plot is simple and daft. The cinematography is dead. Then the obvious sexing up of the 2 females in the main character's life.
It is like a retarded and poorer version of Micheal Bay directed this movie.
The thing I hate most about this movie is Vin Diesel. The guy cannot act. He should change his name to Vin Palm Oil since the only thing he knows how to do is flex his yams Lol. Very true. The film itself is not really that bad. The actions scenes are decent. The story is rubbish though. |

Born2Freak: I used to respect Mekaprime. The guy fall my hand seriously.
Maybe he doesnt know that scientists have praised the scientific accuracy of interstellar. Interstellar is fiction but it go the realistic parts right. He blundered by picking on the most realistic sci-fi to criticize. The way he took time to outline his error-riddled verbose as if he actually knew what he was saying, was particularly annoying. Urghhh.. Nigga has been very irritating lately. |

You call out people for taking what the see hook line & sinker, yet you're guilty of the same offense. Science is not Arts, so long as there are no proof to collaborate those findings on wormholes, it all but theories.

It's funny reading the verbose of someone that has no idea of what they are talking about.
Quantum physicists have stated that Interstellar got the science of wormholes, black holes and space travel theoretically right, and yet, a nobody with an ITK complex seems to think otherwise.
