abduleez1: Funny how nobody is talking about Disney's Onward and The Call of the Wild both underperforming and bombing in the box office.
Imagine a Disney Pixar cartoon performing that poorly, no noise. But if na WB with small budget flicks na rowdy noise you go dey hear and analysis. Geez dude. Have you been living under a rock since the outbreak of Covid-19 |

BlueDomera: Well VisAvis has not really ended. There is supposed to be a VisAvis season 5 but the name was changed to VisAvis Oasis. And the story continues between macarana and Zulema, some of the casts are very much around.
The trailer is out already and first episode will drop by April.
So for all the fans of VisAvis, the story continues and i think it's going to be a hit.
You can see the screenshot below. Vis a Vis has ended. Vis a Vis: El Oasis is a spin-off miniseries. |

JohnnyPalmer: I stopped watching Homeland after broody died The season after was flop Couldn't imagine homeland without him
But even when broody was still in the show... Claire was still a top notch actress
Maybe I will continue again one of these days..... That broody death was really painful Yeah, season 3 kinda flopped after Damien Lewis left. However, after the flopped season 3, the show got it's groove back the following seasons by centering the story successfully around Carrie. Promoting Rupert Friend (Quinn) from a supporting character to main also helped a lot. I was one of the pained fans after they killed off Brody (Lewis), but I adapted, and continued. So much has happened since season 3 that Brody is now nothing but a distant memory. You should continue bro. It's the best spy drama on TV right now. |
TV/Movies › Re: What Series Are You Watching Now? Part 2 by Bratking(m): 8:57pm On Mar 20, 2020 |
dubylhover: At first when homeland started,I used to feel it was Brody that held the show..Damien Murphy is an excellent actor, but damn Claire is on another level You were right in thinking that it's Damian Lewis that held the show at the beginning. Claire was fantastic as crazy Carrie (she won an Emmys that year for it too), but it was Damian Lewis overall contributions that defined Homeland and put it on the map. It was only after he left the show that Claire stepped up big time, and showed everyone that she has got what it takes to carry the show alone. |

dubylhover: Carrie mathison is easily the best female actress on a TV series Spot on. Indeed Claire Danes is very deserving of the two Emmys (out of 7 nominations) and two Golden Globes she amassed for her Carrie Mathison role. I can't think of anyone else that would play a bipolar but brilliant CIA analyst convincingly like her. A bright future beckons after Homeland. |

Raalsalghul: I know, he deserves another for this film. I feel that Cage at some point after a series of Oscar snubs stop giving a fvck. He mostly acts now in other to pay his bills. he didn't make good investments during his heydays. |
TV/Movies › Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by Bratking(m): 10:29pm On Mar 18, 2020 |
Raalsalghul: The biggest error I've made since I started seeing American flicks is underrating Nicolas Cage's talent.
The guy is good, so fucking good, too bad he picks the wrong projects.
He should have won an Oscar for his performance in Mandy, worse still a nomination.
Too bad the Academy doesn't recognize such films so even the innovative approach and weird use of colors by the director will go unnoticed.
Mandy is a straight 4 stars out of 4 for me.
Heck, I need to see the film again. He's an Oscar winner. |
