Elxandre:Am gonna forgive that misfire cos obviously you don't know how to guage the fire power of a phone. S5 is a lot more powerful and here's why: First let's talk about their respective chipsets. The S5 is powered by by an high end chipset known as Quadcore Snapdragon 801 which is a lot faster than A8's Octacore Snapdragon 615 and Exynos 5 Octa 5430, depending on the model. In fact, the comparison wouldn't be fair on A8's S615 and E5430 because they are couple of mid rangers and should be compared to other mid range chipsets like S600. When it comes to processing power, again S5 wins the Derby. It has a krait 400 processors clocked at 2.5ghz. Compared that with A8 slightly inferior cortez A7 and A15 processors, clocked at lesser speed of that of the S5's, you'll have a definite winner on the later The gpus of each device rely heavily on their chipsets and processors to be able to maximize their potential. on the S5, the adreno 330 is a superstar, while on the A8, the adreno 405 is an underachiever. Bottom line: like someone once said on a certain thread, and I quote "you can't compare an high end SOC with a mid range SOC. It's like comparing 4 body builders with 8 skinny people." |
computerboy:Had already checked, there is no bug free Lollipop 5.0.1 in all regions. It's a general phenomena. Na to downgrade be the best thing until 5.1.1 get released... if ever. |
Thebrightest:See how you come take embarrass yourself kiddo. Read my comment again, you hear? I said "They are spread across the country and always available to repair any faulty samsung phone,:Translation - Samsung Calcare has offices around the country ready to render services where necessary. Then I added as an afterthought marked by the comma: "and for free when the phone's warranty is still void.": Translation - Samsung Calcare can also repair samsung devices that is still under the warranty period for absolutely free of charge. That's what's wrong with kids of nowadays, they don't comprehend simple grammar and always quick to hurl abuses for no good reason. Pele, you hear? |
Impatiently waiting for the release of Lollipop 5.1.1 on S5 that will fix all the major bugs of the current lollipop. I wish there is a way to easily downgrade to Kitkat, without having to do it via odin cos I hate flashing my phones. |
Dank1u:I don't want to drag meaningless issue with you but i'd like to correct the misconception surrounding samsung phones and customer service. They are spread across the country and always available to repair any faulty samsung phone, and for free when the phone's warranty is still void. Case closed. |
walesho:S4 has 2 variants: 16gb and 32gb rom version and better yet both are expandable to 64gb. note pro's screen display is very poor compared to the 1080x1920 super amoled screen display on the S4. If you're fan of intense vivid and sharp resolutions, you would love S4. Note pro's screen display in comparison has a dull stretched quality when placed side by side with the S4. Their respective pixel per inch (ppi) are 441 for S4 and 267 for note pro. In terms of camera, again there is no comparison. Note pros camera menu and overall output is a lightweight compared to the more profound and versatile nature of the S4. In fact, if you're a purist, the S4's camera will be a better fit for you. Let's not even talk about the processors, chipset and the overall cpu performance, cos it won't be a fair battle to the note pro, seeing that it's a mid ranger while S4 is an high end device although inferior to my S5. If you love quality, go for the S4, cos even though the battery performance can be very average, it is easily replaceable. If you love big screens with very diluted resolution, moderate UI speed that can lag on heavy usage, awesome battery life, then go for the note pro. it's all a matter of choice as always. |

Samsung A series are among if not the best looking phones out there, alas they are mid rangers. I don't see myself relegating my high ender S5 for something of lower specs just because it's more easy on the eyes. |
@Op, I have had S5 for quite a while now and it has served me well. don't waste your money on S6 cos your S5 is almost as good. just clean up all the junk and temporary files that invariably slows down the phone's processing speed overtime if left unchecked. also the lollipop OS bug that sometimes inexplicably slows everything down is general is not exclusive only on S5. It may come back to hunt you later on S6. but if you must, then go for iPhone 6 plus: Bigger screen and sophisticated OS. |
falseman:Concurred. |
officialarab:Installing Avast antivirus would solve your problem. just block all unwanted spammers with the app and they will never disturb you again. |
SirChotas:Ever heard of deep web? Get to know more about this this by reading: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_Web_(search_indexing) |
BedLam:Never heard of it before, must be new. At least, it's not a chinko phone. |
Tallesty1:I'm wowed by the processing power, the samsung made chipset, not so much by the gpu, the GHD nature of the screen is quite impressive though, but what about memory card? Does it come with expandable microsd card slot and at what limit? And what's the name of the phone? |
greenstar:That's not an original Galaxy grand prime dude. Samsung don't use mtk on their phones and also their phones can't be rooted with kingroot, kapish? |
oloritun:Tecno is not a giant when it comes to smart phones production dude. In China they are one of the lightweights compared to Xiaomi, Huawei and Lenovo, OPO. Tecno's flagship is a mid range phone (phantom Z) whose specs are poor compared to other mid range phones manufactured by Huawei and co. Gionee is more of an household name than tecno will ever be, and Gionee is a lightweight, but at least it's a well known brand. Infinix... well, there own case is even worse. their flagship (Zero 2) is a mid range phone with lower specs than that of tecno's phantom z. So how can someone in his rightful mind call such relatively unknown lightweights, the future of smart phone giants?? Go to Gsmarena, and IGN, there is no such thing as Tecno, Infinix and Innjoo. Even the geeks at Xda had never heard of them. I think that said it all. |
What is Tecno?? there is no such thing in Gsmarena. |
If it doesn't have a titanium frame and corning gorilla 4 screen, then na wash. |
walesho:Noted. |
yinkarh187:That amount should be able to get you a uk used Sony Xperia Z1. |
miraclewonder:If you value bigger screen, an average screen display that doesn't have enough pixel per inch (PPI) to qualify as an HD, better battery life, and tweakable imei, then by all means go for the infinix note pro, but if you fancy FHD (Full High Definition) display with very sharp resolution (441 PPI) on a smaller screen, superior and faster processor, better cpu, better chipset and gpu, but with average battery life, then Samsung Galaxy S4 is the ideal phone for you. Side note: galaxy S4 can be updated to lollipop, ihot Note pro is stuck at kitkat. |
henryutd:It's located at Unikiz Junction just along mgbakwu-Isuaniocha road. In fact, when you reach Unizik junction, ask people to point you to the place. |
henryutd:Do you know guaranty phones based in Awka? |
k2kay:Head to settings, then to power saving mode option, if restrictions are in place, then remove them. you might also try pressing the 'forget network' in the wifi settings. for bluetooth, head into Bluetooth and toggle it off and on several times. if the problem persist then 'forget your device' then try to reconnect. |
JustCalMeDBoss:Hmmm, I don't agree. like someone said earlier one is for high end phones and the other for mid range phones, I think that said it all. |
Idboyostic:Your phone is bricked. download and flash a stock rom that matches your phone at&t model. |
dave2meek:I can't guarantee that. if it's from the panel then, you will be simply be delaying the inevitable. charging port doesn't work on it's own, shey you know? |
phemolisti:It's a software problem, not an hardware problem. a phone repairer won't be able help you unless he studied computer engineering and have tools for flashing. |
dave2meek:Yes it can be changed easily enough. |
Don't confuse panel with motherboard, they ain't the same oh. in some phones the panel (probably goes by a more professional name) is attached to the motherboard. |
