You will find even in your country, even yourself are more blessed then the other, "believe"
Matthew 6:33, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

When you see or hear about other countries who are blessed, it's usually because they obey the Lord's commandment, Matthew 25:35-36, "For I was hungry and you gave me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; "I was unclothed and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in Prison and you came to Me.
If Africa had this attitude, then all of Africa will be fed, not just the few..

yomi007k:
11) Why is it that other countries don't practise this much religion and they are blessed?

Well said: The lord has used you to deliver the message-His word is written go out to all the world and preach the gospel to the lost, and you have, Many are called but few are chosen, why" because someone is listening-either to the messenger, or the word given' either way, from the Lord.
I am also a watchmen, and I spread the message as far as I can' taken the word of God to the people either by word or written documents I have found, about these end times prophesies, Jesus warned us, Matthew 24:10-11, "And many will be offended, will betray one another and hate one another. V's 11, And many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
Who is listening?

Many have turned away from the faith.

Gegz:
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore and repent. – Revelation 3:19. Much of the church today is living a lie. Many of you have been told continuously that you are saved and headed for heaven. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Many of you are heading directly to hell. The systemised lying that is going on in the church has deceived the pastors and the people alike. It is a case of the blind leading the blind. You all need to pray – fervently because many of you are “lost”. No matter what you call me, no matter how you view this issue, no matter what position you have, no matter what church you attend, you have to admit that something is wrong with the church.

Below are eight facts why the church is leading you straight to hell:

1. There is almost no evidence whatsoever that the early church had their “services” on a Sunday. They gathered together ‘from house to house’ virtually every day! People did not dress up and “go to church.” There were no denominations or separate groups with different ‘labels.’ They lived their lives together – And the apostles in Jerusalem preached everyday at a huge open-air gathering, not “hidden away” inside four walls. Church buildings do not exist in the Bible. They were invented around 200-300 AD, when the church was in serious decline. Church buildings are anti-New Testament, and they bring with them a host of problems and traditions. It was when the church fell into the hands of Rome that this concept of the “cathedral” took over. And today, we are still spending millions building these beautiful monuments while the worshippers are starving.
2. The words “prosper” or ‘prosperity’ were NEVER used by Jesus at all – and only mentioned a few times in the entire New Testament. Yet our greedy pastors have built kingdoms upon them. The words – “sell what you have and give to the poor” and “deceitfulness of riches” and “you cannot serve God and mammon” and “woe to you that are rich” were DEFINITELY used by Jesus and the apostles, but you don’t hear them preached by your pastors, do you?

3. Tithing is not a New Testament practice at all. And it is being shamefully abused by today’s preachers. In the Old Testament, tithing was only applicable to Jews and to the land of Israel and that was at a time when a great number of them lived in Babylon, Ammon, Moab, Egypt and Syria. As a result of that, the land they occupied became tithe-able lands. Tithes were not acceptable from Gentiles’ lands. So my brothers and sisters, you need to ask your pastor why he is collecting tithes here in Nigeria. Also, the only people authorised to receive tithes were the Levites – (Hebrews 7:5). If your pastor is collecting tithe from you, ask him if he’s from the tribe of Levi. Even Jesus who was a Jew couldn’t collect tithes because he wasn’t from the tribe of Levi but from that of Judah. And if your pastor insists that being a worker in the lord’s vineyard qualifies him as a Levite, please remind him that Levites had no land and did not own properties.

4. The Jesus of today’s church is a “Father Christmas,” a Jesus who exists mainly for our own “happiness;” a Father Christmas who wants to rain down continual blessings upon us; a Jesus of grace and mercy without judgement, righteousness or truth. Our gross misrepresentation of who Jesus really is, is one of the most serious offences of today’s church. We worship a “plastic” Jesus – one that we have painted in our own image. What an offence to God.

5. What we have today are churches that are so loose that they excuse any sin or misconduct, including homosexuality and adultery. Aren’t we supposed to accept only the truth of God’s word? But instead, we have opted for a modern church that is socially based, smooth and sophisticated, and presented like a Nollywood movie with men and women of ogboni fraternity dressed in their occultic regalia occupying special seats during services. Something is wrong!

6. What happened to the strong calls for repentance that brought thousands down to the altar to repent and ask Jesus Christ to save their souls? This is the litmus test for Christianity; it is the essence of the Cross; it is the great commission that Jesus commanded us with. If your church is not winning souls, then it is like a barren woman, and it is a shame. Something is wrong!

7. What happened to the outpouring of the Holy Ghost? Do we even know what it means anymore to feel the presence of the Spirit of God descend on a service and fill up the room with holiness? Or we just love that party atmosphere and excitement when the choir plays a boogie-down song? Or we love to scream “ride on pastor” in the excitement we get when some charismatic preacher works the crowd? It’s been so long we’ve felt the presence of the Holy Spirit that we don’t know what it is anymore. Something is definitely wrong!

8. Lots of pastors are aware that there is something very wrong with the church today. They know there is little ‘fear of the Lord.’ They know there is no deep repentance or deep moving of the Holy Spirit.
They know that it is just the same old “game” being played every week. A lot of them are very aware of this, but they will not do anything about it. They will not rock the boat. And they will destroy anyone who comes along trying to do something. They do not want any reforms. There is too much to lose. They have their careers and their “kingdoms” at stake. This is the truth of the matter. Most of you are worshippers of your pastors and not God. Many of you are hell bound. So pray my brothers and sisters. Pray for your souls. Let me stop here and leave room for you to call me names. But do remember that the church is leading you to hell – not me!

Don't be to hard on yourself-because one disagrees with your religion-it don't mean we hate you, all I am doing is reaching out to the lost-Jesus said go out into all the world and preach the gospel.
I have studied with different kinds of religions and there's only one that stands fern, Jesus Christ is Lord.
I am only acting to your write up you said about the story on Eunuch and you have chosen to walk with Christ-as you say?
So now it's a bit puzzling, with your remark said>weren't you deciding to become a born again Christian, or" you were just preferring to act like a Christian in love just during the Easter season.
I read, you had found the secrets of Christ, and how one can have eternal life?
Rich4god:

But hey as long you know-what you have written' nothing else matters.

Do we walk in victory? Stand fern with Christ, as born again Christians together we will fight in prayer against the evil principality's of this world.

O well it don't matter, everyone receives a little bad luck sometimes.
It's hard to believe when Jesus stated we are the body of Christ, to be treated wrongfully by others who calls themselves Christians.
Rich4god:
Na u talk am...
Christianity EtcRe: A Thread For Catholics by brocab:
Acts 8 26:40 is great reading, the eunuch became a born again, and baptised in the Holy Spirit, this is not a secret, Jesus had written it, this info has been around for centuries. Its 'just' some religious Churches didn't catch on.
All we need to do is believe, Act 1:4-5, Romans 8:9, One must be born again and be 'baptised in the Holy Spirit to have eternal life, Jesus had opened the door for all man kind' to be saved.
Praise the Lord for ever more..We need more of this info to flood through the Churches. Just think we will all, be with the Lord in the clouds, how good is that..
Starting from the disciples-born again Christians have been spreading this info around the globe for centuries.
Rich4god:
EASTER SPIRITUAL MENU: Acts 8:26-40, Jn 6:44-51. The deepest yearning of our heart is for communion with Jesus. The more we allow the Spirit to convert us to Jesus, the more precious our faith becomes. Soon we are able to say that our faith in Jesus is the greatest gift God has given us. The Ethiopian Eunuch was drawn to this depth of God's love through the instrumentality of Philip. Philip also experienced this gift. This gift so overwhelmed him that he had to share it with others, and so with a full heart he explained to the Ethiopian Eunuch the prophet Isaiah concerning Jesus. The Acts of the Apostles also portrays how the first Christian Community was drawn to proclaim Christ's resurrection and calling for belief in the Lord. As Christians we have the same mission of proclaiming Christ in our world, a world that has lost the sense of the sacred. In today's Gospel, Jesus draws us to the secret of obtaining Eternal life: "Whoever eats of this bread will live forever" (Jn 6:51). This bread about which Jesus speaks is His own body. Reception of the body of Jesus would mean acceptance of His lifestyle. A life that is categorise by love. A Love that knows no boundary; where death and destruction have no power over it. The Love that is ready to share. Parents must share this faith with their children. The gift of witnessing our belief in Jesus may actually be the most precious gift we ever give to others. During this Easter season, let's be like the first Christian Community who do everything out of love. May the Lord continue to be bountiful to us, and lead us to the perfect freedom by which the joy that gladdens our way on earth shall be fulfilled in heaven! Amen!! Good morning and have a wonderful day!!!

Christianity EtcRe: Why Should A Pastor Drive A 10 Million Naira Car? by brocab:
That's a lot of armour to carry in a Church meeting. so it's like fear man, instead of fearing God..
Wow-yes I agree you need the ushers, not armed men. I couldn't even try to worship, in any Church with armed men with AK47's behind or in front of me. I would feel if I didn't worship right, they could gun me down in a flash...

So this is happening in your Churches over there-"Crazy" are these armed men protecting the pastors while collecting the tithes and offerings? Or are they their with them, from morning until evening, when Church is finish for the day.. Who pays them?

Even if their were any terror threats, in the Lord's house, prayer is the best weapon. You carry a sword you die with a sword.
vooks:
What am saying is there is no reason to ape Americanism in these matters, reason being I believe it is a disservice to do all this in the name of Jesus. However, after observing how some meetings are charged, minimal security is necessary, minimal means able ushers to control the excited crowds. Just that. Kevlar vests and AK47 and other side-arms have no place in churches unless there are credible terror threats

Christianity EtcRe: Why Should A Pastor Drive A 10 Million Naira Car? by brocab: 10:28pm On Apr 22, 2015
Mr Vooks exactly what are you trying to say? Are you comparing America with Africa, pastors are making less than the other in the Church.
Hearing pastors having bodyguards, sounds a bit over the top-but hey I don't disbelieve you, I don't sit in a Church long enough, to see the action.

If this is the case-the Lord see's, and those who are making less or more' don't matter to Him, they all have the intentions to rob the Church, which means they are robbing God.

But remember' these people have chosen to do these crimes, and having bodyguards to protect them wearing the worldly full armour, are called Gangsters, living the highways, not wearing God's full armour, are walking themselves straight into Hell.

The blind leading the blind-but it's not our job, "I was told this recently" we can't save them-only the Lord can.
We can help give them warning-but with "Mr greed" hanging around who's willing to listen?

And if the Church chooses to follow after this sort of behaviour, but your Spirit is talking to you about this-then it's best to follow your heart and do what the Lord is telling you to do and get out of there, 1 Timothy 6:5 say's>Useless wrangling's of Men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is means of gain {Money} From such withdraw yourselves.

vooks:
Please note that I feel most of this habits...body guards, big rides, bling and all are aping Americanism blindly. And it really looks bad/insensitive over here given the substantially lower per capita income in Africa compared to America. A pastor rolling in a $200K ride in the U.S. would be far less conspicuous than in Nigeria.

The reason I said congregation can get rowdy is because I have seen it. Even then, you don't need gun toting body guards in body armor. Some strong ushers would do
Christianity EtcRe: Why Should A Pastor Drive A 10 Million Naira Car? by brocab: 8:34am On Apr 22, 2015
Even if the members do become rowdy and wild-Church isn't about man and his bodyguard it about God and His.
vooks:
I mean there is no heightened threat against their person as such. The only thing I have noticed is some church members get rowdy and wild when they come close to their MoG....
Christianity EtcRe: Why Should A Pastor Drive A 10 Million Naira Car? by brocab: 12:17am On Apr 22, 2015
If its not necessarily then why would any pastor need a bodyguard-Americanism or not-we live by faith, needing Christ.
But if the pastors preaching the tithing messages then he lives by works, needing a bodyguard.
vooks:
Not necessarily,
It is mindlessly aping Americanism
Christianity EtcRe: Pentecostal Getting Married To A Catholic by brocab:
Yes I agree-as I had said in one of my Quotes to her, trust in God.
It's hard to give up on Christ what you already know, she had already found the truth in Christ.
My wife and I are on the same boat, even Thur I love my wife dearly and she became a born again Christian, she was starting to have that personal freedom with Jesus, listening to him-but deep down her heart was with the Catholic Church, where she grew up.
As I said>its hard to give up what you already know...

The couple will have many differences, they both need to have that willingness to share in each's ones beliefs. Not just one sided.
My wife believes in the Catholic Church, she believes when she was baptised as a baby her own parents had made the right decision for her spiritual growth-until she herself dies. She believes she is already saved, before given her heart over to become a born again Christian and receiving the Holy Spirit.
So you see my King James bible reads different, from the catholic bible, and these are the problems this lady will front up against, at times it will be frustrating for both of them, like it is for us..

So with this ladies little problem, it could become a bigger problem, she needs the Lord more, like never before.
As I have said: Its hard to give up what you already know...
Ubenedictus:
I have no problems believing she has truly found the truth in Christ Jesus, I do not believe the person you quoted doubt that.

But I have an advise for the OP, you fell in love with a catholic, you saw something beautiful in him irrespective of his religious affiliation, if he is talking marriage with you then I can assume that he is serious about you and loves you just as much, religion is a very important topic for catholics, if he is like me then I'll say his religious affiliation is important to him, an important part of his life, if you took the trouble to fall in love with him them I say you should take the trouble to at least study what he believes, there are many misconceptions out there and you just listed one, you claim that catholics do not believe in the gifts of the spirit which isn't true. If you love him then take the challenge to at least learn what he believes.

Unlike some on the thread, I am not advising you join his church just because you love him, that is a decision only you can make out of conviction, love isn't an excuse for everything, you can make silly decisions in love and regret them later.

What I am saying is that you truly look into what he believes, not from your pastors or from hearsay but direct from people who share those beliefs, practicing catholics and the catholic church itself, listen, contrast it with what you believe and what the bible says, see how he understands things and then you will be in a better position to make a decision, if his beliefs are absolutely contradictory to the Christian message as witnessed in scriptures and absolutely irreconcilable with yours, then you may consider leaving him, if not then you may consider other more positive options.

To put my point in simple words, if you want to break up with your guy because of his church then you must be able to look him in the eye and say to him "I honestly tried everything to bring my love for you to completion but our differences are irreconcilable" not just because you are afraid of what some people said about his church.

Someone gave you a link to a catholic thread on nlans where you can ask questions about the catholic church, I suggest you use it.

Peace

Christianity EtcRe: The Pentecostal Church Verses The Catholic Church. by brocab(op):
So Peter wasn't the first Pope, and he didn't start the catholic Church.
Not even God gave the Catholic Church any authority to rightfully claim Matthew 16:18 to be there true Church..
This sucks now my wife will even hate me more, when I tell her to look up those scriptures you wrote.

paulGrundy:
The Roman Catholic Church sees Peter as the first pope upon whom God had chosen to build His church (Matthew 16:18). It holds that he had authority (primacy) over the other apostles. The Roman Catholic Church maintains that sometime after the recorded events of the book of Acts, the Apostle Peter became the first bishop of Rome, and that the Roman bishop was accepted by the early church as the central authority among all of the churches. It teaches that God passed Peter’s apostolic authority to those who later filled his seat as bishop of Rome. This teaching that God passed on Peter’s apostolic authority to the subsequent bishops is referred to as “apostolic succession.”

The Roman Catholic Church also holds that Peter and the subsequent popes were and are infallible when addressing issues “ex cathedra,” from their position and authority as pope. It teaches that this infallibility gives the pope the ability to guide the church without error. The Roman Catholic Church claims that it can trace an unbroken line of popes back to St. Peter, citing this as evidence that it is the true church, since, according to their interpretation of Matthew 16:18, Christ built His church upon Peter.

But while Peter was central in the early spread of the gospel (part of the meaning behind Matthew 16:18-19), the teaching of Scripture, taken in context, nowhere declares that he was in authority over the other apostles, or over the church (having primacy). See Acts 15:1-23; Galatians 2:1-14; and 1 Peter 5:1-5. Nor is it ever taught in Scripture that the bishop of Rome, or any other bishop, was to have primacy over the church. Scripture does not even explicitly record Peter even being in Rome. Rather there is only one reference in Scripture of Peter writing from “Babylon,” a name sometimes applied to Rome (1 Peter 5:13). Primarily upon this and the historical rise of the influence of the Bishop of Rome come the Roman Catholic Church’s teaching of the primacy of the bishop of Rome. However, Scripture shows that Peter’s authority was shared by the other apostles (Ephesians 2:19-20), and the “loosing and binding” authority attributed to him was likewise shared by the local churches, not just their church leaders (see Matthew 18:15-19; 1 Corinthians 5:1-13; 2 Corinthians 13:10; Titus 2:15; 3:10-11).

Also, nowhere does Scripture state that, in order to keep the church from error, the authority of the apostles was passed on to those they ordained (the idea behind apostolic succession). Apostolic succession is “read into” those verses that the Roman Catholic Church uses to support this doctrine (2 Timothy 2:2; 4:2-5; Titus 1:5; 2:1; 2:15; 1 Timothy 5:19-22). Paul does NOT call on believers in various churches to receive Titus, Timothy, and other church leaders based on their authority as bishops or their having apostolic authority, but rather based upon their being fellow laborers with him (1 Corinthians 16:10; 16:16; 2 Corinthians 8:23).

What Scripture DOES teach is that false teachings would arise even from among church leaders, and that Christians were to compare the teachings of these later church leaders with Scripture, which alone is infallible (Matthew 5:18; Psalm 19:7-8; 119:160; Proverbs 30:5; John 17:17; 2 Peter 1:19-21). The Bible does not teach that the apostles were infallible, apart from what was written by them and incorporated into Scripture. Paul, in talking to the church leaders in the large city of Ephesus, makes note of coming false teachers. To fight against their error does NOT commend them to “the apostles and those who would carry on their authority”; rather, Paul commends them to “God and to the word of His grace” (Acts 20:28-32). It is Scripture that was to be the infallible measuring stick for teaching and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17), not apostolic successors. It is by examining the Scriptures that teachings are shown to be true or false (Acts 17:10-12).

Was Peter the first pope? The answer, according to Scripture, is a clear and emphatic “no.” Peter nowhere claims supremacy over the other apostles. Nowhere in his writings (1 and 2 Peter) did the Apostle Peter claim any special role, authority, or power over the church. Nowhere in Scripture does Peter, or any other apostle, state that their apostolic authority would be passed on to successors. Yes, the Apostle Peter had a leadership role among the disciples. Yes, Peter played a crucial role in the early spread of the gospel (Acts chapters 1-10). Yes, Peter was the “rock” that Christ predicted he would be (Matthew 16:18). However, these truths about Peter in no way give support to the concept that Peter was the first pope, or that he was the “supreme leader” over the apostles, or that his authority would be passed on to the bishops of Rome. Peter himself points us all to the true Shepherd and Overseer of the church, the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Peter 2:25).
Christianity EtcThe Pentecostal Church Verses The Catholic Church. by brocab(op):
The Catholic Church claims it was the apostle Peter who started the Catholic Church, they say he became their Pope?
I have argued this out with my wife who is a Catholic, also with other Catholic's, whom they find an avenue to escape this Question, only to hide oneself in the closet.
Pope's in their religion are not allowed to marry and yet the apostle Peter was married in scripture.

Matthew 8:14 When Jesus came into Peters house He saw His mother in law laying in bed with a fever.

So can someone point out to me which Peter, the Catholic Church are talking about. As I have asked many Catholic's other then my wife-and the response I retrieved was cursing and mocking etc.

Calling me a non Christian the devil himself has risen.

It's not easy, but if you love somebody, the love in Christ can break down those walls between you both. And with your prayers, God can change anything.

Christianity EtcRe: Five (5) Reasons You Should Be A Tither by brocab:
Why have you given up so easy?
Listen we have just studied the word of God-its not our own strength, but Gods strength alone, the Lord directed us to the truth.
We are givers not tithers, its not scriptural any longer, it was a old testament law given to the Levi Priesthood to collect tithes from the farmers and stock-men, and we are not Levi priest, we are Christians. Ask yourself this one small Question>do you follow every law given from bible history-or do you obey just some you have chosen to obey, leaving the rest behind?

Tithing was put in place as a law so even the Levi Priesthood working for God can be fed-along with the homeless the hungry, and the needy.

Why is it you obey tithing when it's no-longer needed-you are robbing God-you have twisted God's word around to gain monies-1 Timothy 6, Tithing was never used to be put in place, so one can buy and sell for a price.
Tithing was used to feed the needy.

If you read Acts 15, this is a good chapter to start with. And ask the Lord to show you the truth.
And He will-like He had showing us too.
And Galatians 6:7, what a man sows he will also reap, is not about money, its about seeking the word of God, the Lord said> Matthew 6:26>Consider the birds of the air they neither sow, nor do they reap, nor put into barns, and yet the lord feeds them, How much more are you?

Dan1cole:
Nevertheless, although I was never trying to convince you nor anyone to tithe, I see that your mind is made up and nothing and no one can change that (except God).
I won't argue nor waste my time and efforts making points and debating with you guys. It's pointless and useless! [I believe, people like you, respond better to proofs and not words.] and as I mentioned in my article, check those in the kingdom making waves; they are mostly tithers (if not all).
But, since I'll not be responding to this thread anymore, nor will I be login in to nairaland again. I want to leave you with this scripture to read very carefully and meditate on it.
Galatians 6:7 AMP which says "Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) [He inevitable deludes himself who attempts to delude God.] For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap."

Just eat on that scripture for me eh!
Anyways, God bless! Keep the faith, spread the word. Stay blessed.

Quote>Oh you like the word of God? Sorry but you just talk much illogical nonsense> then its time for me to not waste my time talking to you about the word of God, as you have refused to listen and learn in word and truth.
You have no knowledge to even try and understand, the word of God.

Every scripture you have given me you have tried to twist it around, expecting me to bow down to the devil, where you stand.
Every time I have given you word and bible truth you have cursed me to a "T"

You have called me abusive names, mocking me cursing me and you have rubbished the word of God.
You call yourself a Christian> without producing any fruit, which shows clearly you are just another religious Nutter who hides behind Christianity..
A lonely man with down to earth self pity.

I have turned and wiped my feet at your door Mr KoloOyinbo>Keep on Telling God you are smarter' more intelligent, then any other man who brings to you the word of God.
Keep on Telling the world your worldly knowledge can out whip any word the Lord brings to you.
KoloOyinbo:
Oh. I like the word of GOD but not of an unpleasant and ignorant fool like you. Sorry but you just talk so much illogical nonsense! cheesy

Have you got your wording mixed up.
Firstly-when Christ said store up for yourself Treasures {riches} in heaven, he wasn't talking about monies, he is talking about head knowledge seeking the word of God, where moths can't eat and thief's can't break in and steal.
No-one can break into your mind, but they can break into your house-Church business etc...
Secondly-And if you aren't praying for money then why are you tithing? Tithing has been twisted and turned around from what was a food tithe to a money tithe, and if tithing is so important to you to do, then show me in scripture where Jesus told us Christians must tithe, from a 10 fold, some 30, some 60 and some 100 fold.
And I don't believe Abram tithed to God stolen goods, Abram didn't tithe from his own, Abram gave back goods that didn't belong to him.
Would you give to God stolen goods?
Jacob made a promise to God, not because God asked him too.
The Levi Priesthood robbed God in tithes and offerings, I am not a Levi priest.
If I was to obey God's laws in tithes and offerings I will do it the way He told me to tithe in the Old Testament- bring your cows and goats into the store house so My people will have plenty to drink and have food on the table..
Jesus made a new covenant for us to be a cheerful giver, no-longer do we need to tithe a percentage.
Dan1cole:
First things first, I never and will never pray for money. That'll be sad.
And secondly, do you give offerings in church? Why?
"Abram paid tithe that didn't belong to him"; so you agree that tithe belongs to God and not to us.
Jacob made the promise, why would he make such a promise if he hadn't seen it done before?
They robbed him in tithes and offerings? Remember that... #GodRoberry
How do you want tithes & offerings to be offered if not in cash? In cows and goats?
God is not taking away from you when you tithe; tithing adds to you.
There is a reward for all the righteous, and/but, tithers enjoy the benefits of tithing in addition. Have you not heard, "Store up treasure in heaven, where it will be safe."

Well if you believe you are giving/ then you gave, not tithed.
Your argument is closed, you don't tithe to give, you give in a cheerful manner..
Dan1cole:
Well, me I see it as giving/returning and not payment nor a forced law.
Christianity EtcRe: Five (5) Reasons You Should Be A Tither by brocab: 8:10am On Apr 19, 2015
Then get with the program and work out the meanings between the two-tithing and giving? Two different meanings, tithing means a percentage, and giving means it can be less or more.
Freewill giving isn't the same as tithing-because tithing was forced on you as a law.
The Lord said He Loves a cheerful giver. The Lord did not say a cheerful tither...
Dan1cole:
Tithing is giving to God as a sign of honour ...
It's no payment ... How much do we have that we would pay God?
Yes! It has to come from your heart and not because it is forced on you. And it has to be of freewill and cheerfully.
It's not a payment; it's an honour.
