PoliticsRe: Pictures From Niger Delta by brownbonno(m): 11:45pm On Jan 03, 2008
Vikiviko,

Please send the pictures to Ibori in prison and the rest to Odili.Then they will know the damage they have done to people of Delta region.
Then elect Dokubo-Asari(a 2 time university drop out) as the president of proposed Niger Delta nation.

Hahaha death penalty have not solved the crime problem in the United states of America.
We need a change in our individual mind set.If that is done,doing the right thing will take its natural course.
Take a note,in the early 80s you can't find a pencil to buy in the street of Ghana.They went through the tough time,but today the dividends are evident.

My dear lets be real.There is no perfect man on planet earth.
The question i expected of you is-Did Duke deliver to the people of Cross River state ?
PoliticsRe: How Corrupt Is The Efcc? by brownbonno(m): 11:26pm On Jan 03, 2008
Afam,

Thanks dude.
I glad over the way people are not reacting to national issues and gone are the days where people accept things the way they are without questions.
Wake up Nigerians-Call a spade a spade.
Thanks to the internet,now we can sample the mind set of a typical Nigerian.
PoliticsRe: Donald Duke: A Fraud Or Visionary? (Tinapa) by brownbonno(m): 11:17pm On Jan 03, 2008
Good,at least we one thing in common on that.
FYI i left Calabar in 1993 after a 4 years at the university.I only went there April 2007 and the remarkable changes i saw beats my imagination.
On the other hand if you know Calabar very well and her importance in the history of Nigeria,certainly you will agree with me on her tourist importance in the tourist industry.
The point to note here without going into much argument is,Duke did a right thing to bring Cross River back to her right place in the history of Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Donald Duke: A Fraud Or Visionary? (Tinapa) by brownbonno(m): 11:03pm On Jan 03, 2008
I am sure you have never steps your foot into Calabar.I must tell you,calabar will benefit from my retirement home.
PoliticsRe: Donald Duke: A Fraud Or Visionary? (Tinapa) by brownbonno(m): 10:52pm On Jan 03, 2008
Nigerian will always complain in any slight opportunity.Cross River is a tourist state(bearing Obudu Cattle ranch in mind).TINAPA is not a goose project(and should be seen as an extention of the EPZ vision) and should be supported by those who have ever been to calabar.Don't forget the popular UK  'Dome project' has not realise its dream.
Duke,has done so well for Calabar.My last visit to calabar in 2007 after years of graduation,gave a hope that some of our leaders still have the interest of the electorate at heart.Inshort we boarded the same flight to Abuja without the usual VIP protocol.
If you have an issue with Duke over Cross River state,i will give you a holiday to Edo state and see the other side of things.

PoliticsRe: Ribadu Fired! by brownbonno(m): 7:56am On Jan 02, 2008
The AGF is now out with another story,that,Ribadu second term was not approved by the senate.
Here the extract of the EFCC establishment Act 2004-

(3) The Chairman and members of the Commission other than ex-officio members shall be appointed by the President and appointment shall be subject to the confirmation of the Senate.
3: (1) The Chairman and members of the Commission other than ex-officio members shall hold office for a period of four years and may be re-appointed for a further term of four years and no more
Tenure of Office
(2) A member of the Commission may at any time be removed by the President for inability to discharge the functions of his office (whether arising from infirmity of mind or body or any other cause) or for misconduct or if the President is satisfied that it is not in the interest of the Commission or the interest of the public that the member should continue in office.
(3) A member of the Commission may resign his membership by notice in writing addressed to the President and that member shall, on the date of the receipt of the notice by the President, cease to be member

TRAINING-
The Commission shall initiate, develop or improve specific training programmes for its law enforcement and other personnel charged with responsibility for the eradication of offences created by this Act and such programmes shall include –
Training Programme
(a) methods used in the detection of offences created under the this Act;
(b) techniques used by persons involved in offences created under this Act and appropriate counter-measures;
(c) detection and monitoring of the movement of proceeds and property derived from economic and financial malpractices intended to be used in the commission of offences under this Act;
(d) methods used for the transfer, concealment or disguise of such proceeds, property and instrumentalities;
(e) collection of evidence;
(f) law enforcement techniques;
(g) Legal prosecution and defence;
(h) Dissemination of information on economic and financial crimes and related offences.

The conflicts here is the EFCC is under the jurisdiction of the Presidency and not under the Police force.Now,who is Ribadu's boss?
I think we should have a break,check through the enabling laws/acts before we find ourselves in an endless debate.
PoliticsRe: Ribadu Fired! by brownbonno(m): 10:45pm On Jan 01, 2008
Bros,

The ''catch up'' sydrome is the problem of Nigeria and Nigerians.Prof Eskor Toyo rightly said that the ''catch up'' phenomenons are faulty and self- frustrating.
Yardua wants to catch up with OBJ when he has not got any meaningful agenda for the nation.He is like a man who went and secure a loan without a plan for the loan.
My candid opinion is for this man to resign,or hand over to an interim government ,lastly the military will take over.
PoliticsRe: Ribadu Fired! by brownbonno(m): 10:27pm On Jan 01, 2008
The President have got nothing to offer to that country.His thought was to  rule the nation just the way he did in his home state.Alas,when he gets to Aso Rock the game was not the same.He is in a tight corner with his short sightedness waiting for time to provide solution to the nation's problem.
It is now very clear that the OBJ boys are better that his selected old political mMagusYar'dua should be courageous enough to show most of his cabinet members the way out.
A question that still borders my mind is ,why did the president bring Kingibe to his cabinet ?

Brothers,
If you a have case go to the Court.IT professional or a journalist cannot guarantee your rights or seek redress for you.
There is no need hiding behind your screen to fight injustice.Its so simple to go to court.

I am proud to be a Nigeria,but i refused to be misled by the usual Naija gimmicks.
Celemel,i am actually disappointed that you where waiting for EFCC to fight for you to get a better Salary or settle your employment dispute.You earlier mentioned the efforts of your attorney on the issue.But common sense should have told you,that,if you where actually having a case.Nothing stops your lawyers from going to court.
You decided to petitioned the EFCC because your employer did not include in the money sharing click.
If you ever have the opportunity to stay outside of Nigeria,that is when you will appreciate the work of EFCC.

bibiking1,

Edo people are better people,but the Politics in the state is very dirty and not progessive.
PoliticsRe: All Edos In This Forum, Plz Lets Hear From You! by brownbonno(m): 7:43am On Dec 31, 2007
The politics of Edo state is bedeviled by gansterism.A state where the chairman of motor park(Agbero) is a member of policy makers.
A state where thuggery offices are more efficient than the police stations.A state where the senator Ugbesia is a sleeping member of the upper house.A civil service state that refuse to harness the abundant economic resources.
What else do we know.Tony Anenih son got married to Senator Ugbesia daughter-what a mess in the history of human dignity(a servant given the daughter to his master's son).It is a modern slavery just to remain in the corridors of power.

Ono,

You will soon release how badly your praise singing have damage your life and the future of your children.
Since you have refuse to repent from your shameful acts,you all will surely pay for it.
Bye Ribadu,welcome 419 and By bye for foreign investors,bye bye bye international reputation for Nigeria.
Thank God the future of my children are safe here,although in a foreign land.
PoliticsRe: Fresh Plot To Remove Nuhu Ribadu by brownbonno(m): 4:53pm On Dec 26, 2007
Let the praise singers continue on their efforts to destroy Nigeria.
They take Ribadu as the problem,but forget that they cast their VOTES on people like Ibori a convicted thief here in the UK.He taught his sister how to fraudulently acquire  loans/mortgage with false representations.
PoliticsRe: Fresh Plot To Remove Nuhu Ribadu by brownbonno(m): 10:11pm On Dec 25, 2007
On a good note,Ribadu going on a course is not a bad thing to happen.But the timing suggest a plot by the AGF/SFG/IG to play scrabble game with Nigerian.

ono,I am not surprised of your post.It suggest your greed to stick around with government treasury looter like Ibori.You must not forget that the world is changing,there are more Ribadus out there in Nigeria.
Time is closing up on these thieves.

PoliticsRe: In Support Of James Ibori by brownbonno(m): 1:52pm On Dec 15, 2007
What a nice topic ,
Remember James Ibori,is a convicted thief even before he came to decieve the Deltan to become their governor.He (and the wife)was convicted for for collaborating with the girlfriend(now wife) to steal/defraud his employer in the UK.He was also convicted for Creditcard fraud in the UK between 1991-1992.
Deltans shine your eyes and stop supporting the thief as your former governor.

I wish you the best in your business.I may patronise you if you can send me details of your locations.
PropertiesRe: Own A Home In Abuja Through Easy Mortgage by brownbonno(m): 4:37pm On Dec 12, 2007
Hi
Are you a developer or a broker ?
If you are a developer,get a better deal from your financiers that will make your estate business a success.In the example you gave,you requesting 1.5m as a commitment fees(ie 37.5 % of the mortgage sum).
If your a broker,i think you need a better understanding of terminology and translations in advertising.Otherwise you may not be able communicate effectively with your audience.
I hope you get a better deal(clear and transparent)
PropertiesRe: Own A Home In Abuja Through Easy Mortgage by brownbonno(m): 1:27pm On Dec 01, 2007
I am sure the FHT Ventures Plc is a registered business entity.And if the terms of trade are unfavourable to her customers a body is suppose to intervene.Like in the UK we have the OFT(Office of Fair trade).If such organ exist in Nigeria they should help to regulate these mucky business initiatives.
Commitment fees as the name implies is an advance fees and it should be looking at within the Advance fees acts(decree)419.
Since the OP did not mention that this fees is deductable or regarded as a deposit.Then the equation is easy and balanced to a 419 scam.
EFCC should investigate to avoid further damage of Nigerians image among Nigerians.
PropertiesRe: Own A Home In Abuja Through Easy Mortgage by brownbonno(m): 5:59pm On Nov 30, 2007
Thanks for your explanations.But my concern still remain with my original comment.
The Nigeria factor of catching one into the deal make the scenario mucky.
Firstly,Your commitment fees is tied to the location and not the property.
Secondly,the commitment fee is an advance payment that is not deductable from the entire price of the property.
Logically,if a mortage is going to be secured on the property,what you should possibly ask for should a deposit and not an unrefundable commitment fees.
I am sure the spirit of 419  will linger for a long time in the mind of Nigerians.
Please try and redesign your strategy and let some of us interested in investing in Nigeria to be encouraged.
Thanks any way for your efforts.
PropertiesRe: Own A Home In Abuja Through Easy Mortgage by brownbonno(m): 8:25pm On Nov 29, 2007
This is a briliant idea.
The down side is the involvement of foreign partners on the design which will attract foreign exchange and eventually the overall cost.
I am sure this is not a part of the Wonder Bank arrangement,because a''A one-time mortgage commitment fee of between Three Hundred Thousand to Three Million Naira (depending on the design of house chosen by a beneficiary) is required at the early stage of our program as a sign of commitment prior to commencement of building the house'' scarced me.
I wish you the best as i hold on my breath to my hard earned £.
