@ brownbonno how do you know she is looking for the uk embassy??

Nowhere in her post does she say she is looking for the uk embassy.

From what she said her spouse sent her somewhere close to Eko hotel. The BHC is not even near Eko hotel, it is only Vfs thats close to eko hotel. All i know is applications are made @ vfs. vfs then fowards the applications to walter carrington. After the applications are processed they are then fowarded back to vfs for collection.

Vfs is situsted at ikeja and VI

The VI address is VF Global services, Uk visa application center, zenon house, 3rd floor, 2 Ajose Adeogun street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Tel: 01-4617088-91
Thanks for the clarification.

the address you are lookin for is 3rd floor, zenon house, ajose adeogun. Once u enter some stupid agents who are trying to make some money off you would direct you to the 11th floor. Please don't go there. Just head straight to the 3rd floor. Happy holidays.
How do you know that is where is looking for ??That  address does not suggest a UK embassy lipsrsealed

very urgent and any advise is welcomed toooooooooooooooooooooo

compliment of the season.
I am sure you wants to join your husband(Franch citizen) residing in the UK.If i am right ,you need to apply to the British embassy for EEA family permit.Although is free of charge,but a litmus test must be scaled through which bordered on genuineness of the relationship,your husband must be exercising the EU treaty rights in the UK.
You better put the jigsaw together very well before submitting your application forms to the embassy.

There is no need being personal,only pointing the basic ethics of modern business packaging.

@ Papabrown, posting pictures is definitely the way to go and I did own up to the fact that some of us will be taking up the challenge. Shouldn't that suffice? Why all the reference to laziness and excuses and peddling? If you live abroad, you cannot even begin to appreciate the constraints you face in the Nigerian, and in particular Lagos business environment. Like the internet connection I made reference to, you don't know how terrible that period was for some of us who are so used to being online. So his comments were uncalled for. This is not the Politics section where people just bash others just for the sake of it.
PS: I didn't see any puppet add. & is PB & BB same lipsrsealed
There is no bashing here,gone are the days where people relie on luck.Success can only be achieved throuhgh hard work.Ability to make sales and profit depends on how good your package your product.I am sure you will find some adv with just 2 lines-Storey building for sale 5  bedroom,2 bath,2 toilet Price 25m,location Ipaja.Contact details-------.A reasonable prospective buyer will not waste time and money contacting such a seller because he has got nothing to sell.

There are a lot of reasons and I can't begin to go into all of them right now, but would agree with what dnative said about properties being handed down to 2nd, 3rd and 4th parties etc etc. Also, there's the issue of time for those of us who work for ourselves. Then there's the internet connection. I remember trying to assist a friend who's into autos at some point to put up pictures in the auto's section. I tried for over two weeks to upload basic jpeg files. I got frustrated and gave up.

Nevertheless, this is a challenge and some of us will be taking it up promptly.
I do sympathise with the situation here,but will not buy into these flimsy excuses.As an agent you are putting up your adv to make sales and profit profit.It cannot be achieved with a lazy attitude.Even with the astronomical prices placed on properties with the hope of making it big in one sales.It does not just happen like that,one cannot be selling what he has little or no information about,that is peddling.

LAWYER,

If you can recollect,there was a time here in Property section where i nominated you as the ONLY lawyer on NL.Just for the singular reason that you are not economical with your knowledge/information.
That is practically how to sell yourself and project your image above others.We just need to learn,ask question if you don;t know and stop this attitude of giving pieces of worthless information that cannot be used to make investment decisions.

There are ways to report news that emanate from such and reproducing it verbatim is not one of them.

Also internal & Confidential sources could be endangered by such action.
If the publication of this compromises the source, Sahara reporters might find it difficult to get inside scoops in future.

Granted, Nigerians need to know the truth but throwing responsible journalism to the winds to achieve that is not d way to go.
If Mr Elendu of sahara reporters gets arrested next time he is in the country, he should know why.

Putting my digression aside, these are my Thoughts exactly
Bear in mind, Saharareporters is a whistleblower.Their mission is not the display of journalistic professional tricks but exposing the social ills in the society.
If the ICPC where actually up to scratch,this memo was issued in May 2008,after six months the issue is not yet in court or in the public domain.That should send an intelligent signal that the allegation will never see the light of the day.

INDEPENDENT CORRUPT PRACTICES AND OTHER RELATED OFFENCES COMMISSION (ICPC)

INTERNAL MEMO

TO: TEAM 3 LEADER

FROM: PAUL AHMED BASSI

DATE: 16TH MAY, 2008

RE: ICPC/P/NC/2005- MASSIVE FRAUD IN THE NATIONAL ECONOMIC INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE – UPDATE AND REQUEST FOR DIRECTIVES

The above respectfully refers.

The above matter was handed over to me when Mr. Sanusi Kado left the ICPC to take up employment with the National Industrial Court. As at the time Mr. Kado left there was a request for further investigation on some specific aspects of the petition that would enable prosecution to be initiated.

FACTS
Sometimes in the year 2005, a petition by Chika Nwadibia (the petitioner) against one Emeka Ebilah (the suspect) was sent to the Commission. The petitioner alleged that the suspect used his position as a member/secretary of the National Economic Intelligence Committee (NEIC) that was verifying debts owed local contractors by the Federal Government of Nigeria to include the names of his companies and those of his cronies in the verification exercise. That the suspect along with Prince Vincent Ogbulafor who was the Minister for Special Duties (Economic Affairs) that supervised the NEIC and one Boash, the Director of Budget Implementation at the Federal Ministry of Finance conspired to verify fictitious contracts purportedly executed by companies supplied by the suspect and ensured that the Federal Government paid for these contracts. The petitioner also gave the names of the individuals who were used as fronts to collect the monies on behalf of the companies for the suspects and his co-conspirators.

INVESTIGATION
I would now proceed to give an in depth analysis of the findings of the investigators and my humble submissions as regard individual suspects.

(i) EMEKA EBILAH

The principal suspect in this matter denied all the allegations in the petition at first but later retracted his denial and made a full confession. He admitted that he used 3 companies to verify fictitious contracts in collaboration with the Director Budget Implementation, Federal Ministry of Finance, Mr. Boash and Prince Vincent Ogbulafor and collected payments from the Federal Government totaling N104 million. The suspect also admitted using his position to include names of his companies which had executed contracts for the Federal Government in the verification exercise and ensured that they were paid.

The suspect then proceeded to give a breakdown of what each individual received from the proceeds of the fraud and voluntarily refunded his share which come up to N4million. He gave photocopies of the cheques he used to distribute the money to the other individuals and also his bank statement. All payments were made through Africa International Bank (AIB) Plc Enugu branch cheques. A breakdown of the sharing formula is as follows:

(a) Emeka Ebilah – N4.3million

(b) Prince Vicent Ogbulafor – N28 million through a proxy Mr. Chris Nwoke and a N2 million cheque in this (Ogbulafor’s name).

Ahmed Bassi (P. A. Bassi for short) and my younger brother’s name is Daniel Ahmed Bassi (D.A. Bassi for short). I find it impossible to believe that the BC Bosah in whose name a N10 million cheque was issued by Ebilah is not a relation/nominee of Emmanuel Bosah. I asked the investigators to confront him on this and he denied knowing anyone like that but in my humble opinion, the AIB records would also reveal the identity of BC Bosah. Mr. EC Bosah had supplied documents to prove that he is not BC Bosah but it is too much of a coincidence for a BC Bosah to benefit from the scam he is implicated in and for him not to known the person.

Furthermore, I asked the investigators to conduct a search at the CAC which revealed the identity of the Directors of Emotech. Mr. Emmanuel Okocha who along with his daughter are the Directors of Emotech Nig. Ltd admitted knowing Mr. Emmanuel Chukwurah Bosah (EC BOSAII) and said that EC Bosah had been his customer since the days when EC Bosah was resident in Lagos and that the EC Bosah had approached him with a business proposal for the 2 of them to go into and EC Bosah and brought 2 cheques of a total value of N44 million in his company (Emotech) name for him to clear and that the money was to be used in the business venture. Mr. Okocha paid the money into his company account and paid out various sums into different accounts as directed by EC Bosah. Bosah finally decided that he wasn’t going ahead with the business and asked for the balance of the N44 million to be given back to him. While part of the money was given back in cash. Okocha said the last payment was made through a Zenith Bank Draft. Okocha also provided the account numbers which he had paid various sums into on instructions of Bosah. When the investigators brought the report on Okocha, I commended their efforts at tracing him but I explained that investigation should be conducted on the accounts as provided by Okocha and also the draft he mentioned to provide concrete evidence of the link between EC Bosah and Okocha. The account holders would need to explain their link to EC and that would suffice in court for a conviction in my humble opinion. I have not gotten feedback from the investigators but I believe that this evidence can be used whenever it becomes available and have gone ahead to draft appropriate charges against EC Bosah while using Okocha as a witness. Managers of Okocha’s bank and all other banks listed by Okocha would also be used as witnesses.

HENRY IKOH
Henry Ikoh was the person who appeared before the NEIC committee to verify the fictitious contract purportedly executed by Henchiriko Nig. Ltd. He was alleged to have received a total sum of N7.5million as his share of the scam and he admitted his role and accordingly made refunds to the government. Charges have been drafted against him.

JUDE NWOKORO
Jude Nwokoro was the person who was authorized by Ebilah to receive payment on behalf of one of the companies used in the scam (Henchiriko Nig. Ltd) Jude Nwokoro. He was alleged to have received a total sum of N6.2million and admitted tat in his statement. He also made refunds and charges have been prepared against him.

RECOMMENDATION
While I have framed charges against the 5 suspects, it is my humble opinion that we cannot wait till infinity for AIB situation to be resolved. More charges can be brought against the suspects if we have access to the information required. I must however admit that it might be difficult to present certain financial instruments into evidence in the absence of an official of the AIB. Cheques and bank statements would need to be tendered into evidence at trial. I must here make an observation about the attitude of the CBN and NDIC. The CBN chose not to respond to enquiries about cheques issued by Ebilah (at least to the best of my knowledge) while the NDIC blows hot and cold. The NDIC supplied details of the draft issued by Ebilah to Ogbulafor for N2 million but refused to do so when asked about the other cheques. They kept referring the Commission to either CBN or the Diamond Bank Plc with no results.

I would humbly recommend that these charges against the 5 suspects be filed and the Commission to prevail upon the CBN and NDIC to furnish us with the details sought,  Furthermore, the investigation department should be reminded of the need to forward the result of the investigation carried out on the accounts supplied by Emmanuel Okocha.

Respectfully submitted for further directives please.

bronwboro or something very close to that, if you feel when via the Lion's den to get to poland good for you, why not give information of an alternative means as you claim abi you want money for the information?is that your idea? i should have relocated to American not even poland because my wife is an polish American and has her own company in poland which she can't leave behind so don't think there is any big deal in UK, i was there last summer, so my situation is a piece of cake i gat options ok, why not assist those who needs it instead of expecting monetary gains, so beat it
You are only rambling round your retarded insinuations.What has your relocation to America or your summer visit to the UK got to do with the issue at hand.Be aware this travel section is not where people come to drop your gargabe and expect a hand of appluase.We have over grown such levels and i hope your wife will be able to manage you further in your quests.
If i may remind your from your previous post,though will not hold it to you  because that is what your wife told you(i doubt if she said so in the first case),that your wife secure a temporary resident permit for you there in Poland before you secure a visa from Nigeria to come to Poland.Unfortunately,although your wife is carrying you around like a baggage,you cannot actually report the steps of the route of your residence permit.
I must not forget to ask you this simple question:Why are you living in Germany when your wife is living and having her luxury business in poland ?

Spouse settlement Visa and EEA family permit can be successful without negative reference to his/her past.Provided there is no criminal conviction during his stay in the UK.Visit Visa could be a problem.

I am a Nigerian living in both poland and germany i spend most time in poland presently and i possess my resident permit and in 2010 will get my polish citizenship since i have a polish wife,
• Poland Citizenship through marriage with a Polish citizen for aliens who are currently residing in Poland

An alien can acquire Polish Citizenship, if he:
- Is married for at least three years to Polish citizen, obtained a residence permit

Applicant needs to apply to the Wojewoda of his place of residence in Poland and declare intention of becoming a Polish citizen. Application needs to take place within 6 months from obtaining the residence permit,According to Art. 3, 1 of the Polish Citizenship Act of 1962 " Marriage of a Polish citizen with a person who is not a Polish citizen does not affect the citizenship of either of husband or wife."

Davedavy:
@segan
I am considering moving over to Poland next year June after my Masters degree,i am presently in Ukraine and have a pretty Polish girlfriend,we are getting married next year around March/April and from all i have read from the net,i am getting confused about all their requirents and how long this can take,i even learnt that sometimes it can take up to 6 months to finalise the marriage processing and the worst part is that i have to be present in Poland all these time,note i can't stay much in poland because i still have my school going on,so can you please shed more light on what i am to expect and what documents will i need to get married there,i know i will need a letter from Nigerian embassy here in Ukraine,my birth certificate and international passport all translated to Polish, right?and another thing,how long does it take to get the residence permit after the wedding,do i need to stay in Poland to get the residence permit or my girl can go about the processing in my absence?and how easy is it to live in poland and work in Germany or shutling in between, i have been to Poland few times but really don't know if there are many job oppurtunities there,but my girl wants us to live there at least for a year,we will be living in Crascow.
Polish residency CANNOT be processed in your absence.You might find some difficulties in arranging the paperworks to get a marriage done in Poland.On the contrary,Denmark is the best place for foreigners to get married in a matter of 2 days.With proof of ID,Visa Schengen/ residence permit and certificate or affidavit of no impediments.(It all depend on the commune of your choice)

Hello Nairalanders. I'm in a dire need of your advice. please tell me what you'd do, if you were in my shoes.

I live in The UK presently and i'v been here since 2004 with my husband. In 2005 , my husband had some police issues , so he had to go back to Nigeria and due to this incident, he can NEVER come back to the UK. I am here with a set of twins, 2 boys who i had in 2006 few months after he left, and i've been struggling day in day out to cater for our children. To be honest with you, my husband gives us a monthly allowance of 350pounds, which in NGN is alot of my ., so my expenses is cut with his help.He has a business in Nigeria and he is VERY HARD WORKING. I must also tell you that he's very loving and a God fearing person who doesn't cheat(one should not trust men though).
My main dilemma is should i go relocate to Nigeria with my children , but that forfeits us being able to get the Uk citizenship or stay back in the UK for another 5yrs plus to get the citizenship and the children will only know their father when they re about 8yrs old? Also consider the side of (body no be fire wood) for both of us. I have a degree from a nigerian uni and some professional certicates from the Uk., so i think getting a job should be kind of easy as i was working before i left Nigeria.
please help a sister out, as this gives me sleepless nights. I'm planning to move by the first quarter of 2009.
British citienship for me and kids or a happy family life?
I want to assume you are banking on the seven-year concessionary policy of the Uk immigration.If that is true,you should as well look into the conditions set for that policy to get indefinite leave to remain and subsequently citizenship-
(a) the length of the parents' residence without leave;
(b) whether removal has been delayed through protracted (and often repetitive) representations or by the parents going to ground;
(c) the age of the children;
(d) whether the children were conceived at a time when either of the parents had a leave to remain;
(e) whether return to the parents' country of origin would cause extreme hardship for the children or put their health seriously at risk;
(f) whether either of the parents has a history of criminal behavior or deception

The other side of the story is subjecting the children to poverty and sub standard of living because of your minimum income from Nigeria and possible few pound here in the UK.You children deserve better life because the expected British citizenship is not a better itself but a possible means to a better living(It never guarantees a better life).
Honestly speaking,Nigeria will be a better place for the children so that both parents can take care of them.
Wish you the best.

In all honesty Ribadu did what a president cannot do that is why till date right minded people are still supporting even though he erred in few areas.After all there is no perfection in human nature.
The truth of the matter is the constitution review will steer a new direction for this nation Nigeria.Where people will be able to decide if the Nation Nigeria should remain as one country.True federalism will be defined and the federal (central) government will have minimum power on the control of the nation;s resources.
The slavery and imprisonment  of our conscience is due for libration,we sincerely hope the national assembly get the courage to live up to the expectation of the masses and do what is right.

The Umaru Yar'adua government acted on its threat to prevent the former Chairman of the economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu from graduating from the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Nigeria's elite personnel training school in Kuru near the city of  Jos, Plateau state.

Ribadu, who was to graduate this morning, was ordered to leave the venue of the event by the head of security of NIPSS. Security agents acting on the orders of the government then dragged him out.

SaharaReporters learnt that Michael Aondoakaa, Nigeria's controversial Attorney General and Minister of Justice, and Deputy Inspector General of Police Hafiz Ringim, visited the institute last night to deliver the order by Yar'adua not to allow Ribadu to participate in today's graduation ceremony.

After Ribadu was dragged out of the ceremony, security officials also removed his wife, his six kids and 40 guests who had come to witness the ceremony from the auditorium. His children wailed as security agents removed them from the ceremony today.

A source at NIPSS told SaharaReporters that Aondoakaa, who has created a reputation as the most openly corrupt attorney general in Nigeria’s history, spoke with fury last night as he asked officials of the institute how they could allow a man fighting against the government to graduate from NIPSS.

The institute had hurriedly printed another set of brochure that listed Ribadu as a “Deputy Commissioner of Police” after the earlier one listed him as a Deputy Inspector General of Police, a position from which he was recently demoted as his persecution by the Yar'adua regime reached a boiling point.

SaharaReporters learnt that Aondoakaa did not participate in the official graduation ceremony chaired by Goodluck Jonathan, Yar'adua's colorless deputy.

Since Ribadu’s removal from the EFCC, the regime of Yar'adua has hunted him on different fronts using myriads of security agencies and tainted politicians to carry out its designs.

A few days ago, a Federal High Court judge denied Ribadu's requests to be protected from harassment by the government, the EFCC and the office of the nation's attorney general, whose bitter relationship with Ribadu led to his exit from the EFCC.

A source at Aondoakaa’s office told SaharaReporters that the attorney general was urging Yar’adua to arrest Ribadu and make him face pre-prepared charges bordering on treason and insubordination.

In a secret circular, the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) has ordered all security agencies at national border posts to arrest or incapacitate Ribadu should he be found fleeing the country. The secular described Ribadu as a “dangerous renegade police officer.”

NOUBLE:
@brownbonno
Do you have problem understanding English? i ask for advice does not mean i don't have a right to choice, and in this case i am not asking for advice on that issue, i am only asking people who currently lives in poland where is the safest city, what has that got to do with the last decision i made and by the way, what gives you the right to think i have to take the advice you give, if i have to then it shouldint be call advice, it should instead be called command.
ANY ONE IN POLAND, please?
Nouble,
There is no need for arrogance and insults,your wife should be able to advice you on how safe Poland should be for you.
I am only concerned that you are not intelligently utilizing the valuable advice you have got so far.The best you could do is want to jump into the Plane to Nigeria with a fake Nigeria passport (with all the fake residence permit in it).You have only succeeded in giving Nigerians a bad name here in the UK,just for your own selfish interest.
Although i wish you all the best,but i do feel for your child and the mother that have to go through this rigmarole for no reason.
