Thank you very much Mr immigration law UN breaker and congratulations for being a very holy, sinless man who has to throw the first stone.

Oh really?

Its not too late you can become one now and ask Irish Govt infact all European and Amercan govt to deport all foreigners, those that came in with visiting visa and married for paper, those who came in with 6 months visa years ago etc righteous man!, and don't forget to go and kill Nigeria Govt who awarded electricity contract to unregistered foreign companies, paid 100% upfront and did no job, good man and remeber to advise that all of them should be deported.

No thanks but she is not weeping she is only in a situation anyone can find him/herself, i know no thread ends without some sort of abuse.

Awe,if you are furtunate in life don't call your padis lazy bones, and come to think of it how many Europeans, Americans cme to Nigeria to do this? Does that not mean something? Please tell those defrauders in Nigeria who calls themselves govt to make their country comfortable for all and give equal or near equal opportunity to all.

One of those 'defrauders' is Rotimi Adebari who was the first foreigner to be made a mayor of a county in Ireland, what did Nigerians do? Crying hell that he was an assylum seeker blablablablablablablabla. Thank God for the number of 'defrauders' from Nigeria today who are holding great postitions in Ireland in various fields including me who got a good job in ISP company without having to know anyone or bribing anyone abd despite being a 'defrauder' yesterday, i'm sure your like would not even employ me.

I rest my case, thank you all for your wonderful contributions, i thinks i have one or 2 words for her from your contributions so this thread can rest peacefully now, as i will not visti it again. THANKS TO YOU ALL.

What a brilliant contributions from Naija ladies.I am indeed proud of some of you.But there is  a buttom line to this issue-"Bandwagon attitude" of Nigerians in Ireland.
Its a long story, but statistics shows Nigeria have the highest non EU immigrants in Ireland, the bulk of them got the residency rights from the so called  parents of Irish citizens. In the wake of the  "pardon" they signed their rights away to remain in the state.
This have brand Naija ladies there with the single motherhood and the associated state benefits.
My 2 cent to the poster are-
1.Go back to Naija and get a life and enjoy your virtues as a woman.
OR
2.According to the EU directives 2004/38/EC your child can exercise his/her treaty rights and migrate to any other EU member state, this will allow the parents a residence rights as a member of the family. On a condition that you must WORK and stop the LAZY life.
BusinessRe: What Do I Need To Start A Radio Station? by brownbonno(m): 4:06am On Mar 25, 2008
zorro:
Was just wondering if anyone could help me understand what i would need to start a small radio station
The poster asked a very simple question.
linuxuser:
zorro,

The cost of the license is the most daunting provided that even if you can raise the money for the license, the "powers that be" will be willing to give you the license. To start with, I will suggest that you start with an internet radio which is less expensive. You can actually start with less than 500,000.00 Naira. Starting with internet radio, you can learn the trade even before you get a license. If you need some help, I may be able to help you.
Linuxuser,
You gave a very professional and openminded advise.
Seun:
What are the things you already know?

As far as I know, you can't start a radio station unless you really understand the business, have access to a lot of capital, and have friends in high places so you can get a broadcast license - which will cost a lot of money.
This is a typical Nigerian way(judgemental and bais) of pushing open minded people to the background.
coolier:
Dear Linuxuser,

It's that easy for people to dupe you if you don't know exactly what you're doing - at least the basic rudiments. Like one needs a licence first and foremost - assuming that is coming from the government, one only pays the bribes and licence fees to get that done.

But in a situation where a contractor, simply because you're not versed in what you're doing says to you that you need a 'trans', a 'form', and a 'mer' to broadcast. You end up paying triple for one item.

What am saying is it would have been much easier if one has been in the broadcast business, that way you know exactly where you're going and how to quickly get there.
If the poster was already in the broadcasting business he won;t ask and post the thread. He asked the question to avoid "dupe".
We should learn how to approach issues especially if one is trying to seek knowledge to establish himself in his area of interest either as a hobby or a career.

The legal quagmire will go on to the supreme court. The tribunal should have annul the election since about 1/4 of the total vote cast was cancelled.
The victory of the AC will not be celebrated for too long, considering the facts that the House of Assembly is dominated by the PDP and can truncate the governance of the state.
Personally,Osunbor is on the part of moving the state to next level as against the palace governance of the state by the last governor Igbinedion.
But the analysis of the political footprint of the state can only be sufficiently discussed based on the success of past administrators like Ogbemudia,Prof Alli(late),Chief Oyegun. The dispensation of Prof Alli in the education sector is yet to be contested by any post independence governor.
The problem of Edo state is not actually who will be the next Governor but is on will the Anenih's allow a modern edo state?

The shipping price is usually between 500-600 all depends on your agent.
Modifying a RHD to LHD is not good for business except for personal use.
You did not specify the clearing cost in Naija,i am sure the car is less than 8 years old(because of the restrictions).

CultureRe: The White And African American Views On Africa! by brownbonno(m): 9:56pm On Mar 13, 2008
Africans are the problems of Africa. The value of Africa is been demised by the western imperialism under the pretence of a civilising mission.
Carefully enough, their inhuman acts and behaviours are never recorded in the history books and kids are not thought the right things that led to this ignorance.
The media owned by the the rich westerners are helping their government to paint Africa black.
I am not a history student but recent trends, pushed me to some discoveries:
-The British falsified the first census record in Nigeria.
-Afghanistan have never know peace because of her refusal to accept colonisation of their heritage.
-Pakistan/India trouble over Kashmir caused by the British ,
-Where are the red Indians(the America red Indians
-The Aboriginals of Australia are now the second class citizen in their own land

The list goes on.We should try and fight corruption and starve the west from developing their nations with the loots.

BusinessRe: Why Are Imported Goods Excessively Expensive In Nigeria? by brownbonno(m): 8:14pm On Mar 13, 2008
WebJunior:
I have noticed that imported goods are extremely expensive in Nigeria? below is one of the basic analysis that triggers this question.

A 2000/2001 HONDA ACCORD AKA (babyboy) motor car in Nigeria is around 1.5 million naira,  and that's even cheap.

This is just one example out of many, similar thing applies to computer importation and other valuable products that Nigeria as a whole could benefit from.

First my exchange rate convertion is xe.com, so my calculation is based on the exchange rate at the time of my posting!

Now in the UK this car only worth about £975. So let's follow the illustration below;

Car Purchased in UK               = £975.00  about (230,000 Naira)
Exportation  Cost                   = £250.00  about (  59,000 Naira)
Clearance Cost in Nigeria       = £852.00  about (200,000 Naira)
Profit                                      = huh

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TOTAL                                      = £2,077  about (489,000 Naira)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So back to the alarming figure 1,500,000 Naira - 489,000 Naira =1, 011, 000 Naira

(1) So what happens to the 1, 0011, 000 Naira excess?
(2) Are there other hidden charges we do not know about or is this the profit car dealers make generally in Nigeria?
(3) If the excess here is the profit how many common fellow citizen have the chance of owning a car?

May be my analysis is wrong, someone please put me right!
Your analysis doesn;t represent the actual situation.I wonder where you got that information.
Firstly,UK cars are right hand drive cars and Nigeria have not got a market for them.
Secondly, you can;t get that car for such a price.
TFinally,no shipping company/agent will ship a car to Nigeria for £250.

@ Vicjustice - I am an African American woman, and did not mean to offend you. I just wanted to see pictures, other than what my boyfriend (who is Nigerian) has shown me.

@ Tegese - I will be visiting Nigeria next year - I guess I am a little anxious.
There is no offence to your request. The funny thing is that when people want to show you pictures of Nigeria, mostly they will not show you ''the good and the bad'' they will concentrate on the bad.Shame to say that, but is the blatant truth.
You should be anxious to be part of the Nigeria history, what ever happen in Nigeria do happen everywhere in the world. We are afraid of life in the UK especially with the reported level of crimes in the street of the UK.Similar story is still coming out of the USA yet people still crave to come and live here(UK & USA).
You are invited to visit Nigeria, forget all that people say to give Nigeria such a bad name,Nigeria as a developing country is not as bad as people paint her to be.Especially the closed minded people without the right education to distinguished between a developed and a developing nation and their problems(poverty, corruption, under development etc).

Land-The cost of land depend on the location
under ground tanks, pumps,Canopy,Office building and a host of things that you will need for a standard station.

londoner:
I doubt the majority of Nigerians are employed by the government. It is terrible the way the government delays pay to some of its employees salary and pension. Even those who are comfortable tend to try and find ways to collect bribe. One thing I will say I was pleasantly surprised with in Abuja, is that the policemen did not collect bribe from what I witnessed, but performed their duties as they should. I was happy about that I must say.
You are really a true son of the Land.
Save your word, therewas a recent telecast(BEN TV UK) of one of the Local government chairman from Ogun Sate.He said, people should come back and do business with them.He also advised that those coming should come with their British civic attitude to public service.
The nation at this time need people that have stuff to offer.
NV ME:
@Londoner
Its true alot of nigerians have lackadaisical attitude towards work, I am not abettin that either but the fact that people dnt get their pay/salaries as @ the stipulated time will make anybody to be lazy @ work and of which the pay package is even tooo small
The Vast mojority in nigeria work under the government because there is no other alternative.
(E.g POLICE) How can someone be paid 10,000 nairas/month when he has family and children to take care of. He has to feed, pay rent, transport to work, pay children's school fees and other miscellaneous expenses.
This we all know will definately create room for corruption/bribery, thats the reason why everybody in Nigeria wants to work in a bank
There is no need for finger pointing or apportioning blames.Even if the the NPL are paid a minimum of 10k a month is not a guarantee of bribery free system. After all,the governor, ministers etc have enough pay packet yet they are not free from corruption.
We all need a change in our individual mind set.Refuse bribe when given and don;t give bribe.
Personally,i forbid to take or give bribes.
