Yes, our ladies are doing well in our various relationships, but there are things that us as guys secretly want from a girl. I would list Six of them

1. GUYS WANTS A GIRL THAT KNOWS “GUY” THINGS: Yea we know you Girls are all sissy and Cinderella dolls. However sometimes a guy wants a girl who knows how the guy code works. A girl who knows the latest male fashion trend or that funny joke that only guys understand. We want a girl for a girlfriend but also want our girlfriends to be our best buddy. I know we sound confused, but that’s one of the things we secretly want.

2. GUYS WANT A GIRL THAT LOVES FOOTBALL: When we are watching TV and shouting “Man-u for life!” or barking instructions at the TV as if we are the ones coaching the team. We don’t appreciate when our girlfriend is busy hissing or telling us why we should change the TV. Not cool. Guys love a girl who knows one or two things about our favorite sports team. It makes for fun if you can sit next to us and bark instructions with us too… It really helps for the bonding.


3. GUYS WANTS A GIRL WHO CAN PLAY GAME CONSOLES: We love a girl who can play game! Ah it freaks us out when a girl can hold us down in a game of PES16 or FIFA16. Don’t just stand there and hiss or ask stupid questions like “what do you guys even enjoy playing these games” you may think you’re sounding all girly and cool,but you’re are just being annoying.

4. GUYS LOVE A GIRL WHO LET’S US BE GUYS: Don’t try to separate us from our best buddies, or try to control or tell us how we should behave. We don’t want you to be our mother’s, when we want you to be our mother’s we would let you know. Let us be guys, do all our guys stuff, eat like slobs, wear our boxers round the house…. We love those stuff… Let us be

5. GUYS LOVE WHEN A GIRL SUPPORTS US: Yes, you’ve probably heard this a dozen times. But it’s very important. Support us in our choices, even the stupid ones. When we want to spend all our money on that new X-box console, just let is buy it. Don’t try to form financial advisor. If we want an accountant we would employ one, thank you. Support our stupid Choices sometimes.

6. GUYS SECRETLY WANT A GIRL TO CONTROL US:LOLZZZZ, I know this is quite surprising, but it’s true. Especially African men who have a hard exterior but a really soft interior. Guys want a girl who can tell them what to do…. Men want a girl who can take charge of the relationship and set down some helpful rules that can move the relationship forward.

At some point in life we all would marry, unless you hate marriage(some people do). Marriage is sweet when you find the right person for you, On the flip side, marriage can be one hell of a journey if you end up with the wrong person, Infact it becomes a prison. Many marriages fail because the people involved didn’t know what they were getting into before they got married and refused to know. Marriage has the ability to make or Mar you forever. The good book says that he who finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord. So finding a wife in itself means you’ve been favored from God, because finding a good woman in this our times is very Difficult. There are some thing one needs to know before getting married and I am Going to highlight six important ones.

1. MARRIAGE IS NOT A BED OF ROSES: This is like the most common marriage errors a lot of young persons make. Now is the season of pre-wedding photo shoots and all the drama. Many are getting into marriage thinking that it’s going to be the same forever…. It’s not! You are probably going to wake up one morning and look at that woman lying next to you and feel absolutely nothing for that person. You would encounter some serious challenges that may wreck your marriage if not properly handled. So if you are going into marriage with that “Cinderella, happily ever after” then you are gravely mistaken.

2. MARRIAGE IS NOT FUN: Yeap, I know I have hurt some people with that, but am really sorry, it’s the truth. Marriage is really far from fun. Marriage is two people coming together to build a formidable family….And we all know that in building, fun is hardly involved. Building is stressful, building may bring about quarrels and fighting. But in the end what’s important is that the goal is reached. Are you learning?

3. THE WEDDING IS NOT MARRIAGE: I see so many elaborate weddings every Saturday that gets me wondering why Nigerians love to over-do things. I heard of a young igbo guy, who swore never to get married unless he can get 8million naira for the wedding. 8million for a one day thing!
People, the wedding is not the marriage. Don’t invest so much time and energy into a wedding, Invest into your marriage. We all know of people who had weddings in dubai and today are divorced…. I didn’t mention anyone’s name tho

4. NOTHING LASTS FOREVER, BE PREPARED: I always tell women around me, no matter how wealthy you are or the man you married is, there always comes a time of tribulations for every man under the Sun. There would be a time that, the millionaire you married may not be able to give you the onions and chips you are so used to eating, or take you to dubai for holidays as he or she always did. You must as a single, make up your mind and brace up for the challenges of marriage.


5. DON’T MARRY FOR SEX: This is also a very common occurrence. As many young people marry for sex. Yes, sex is one Reason for marriage but it’s not the all in all. No matter how sex-starved you are and all you just want to do is get a woman or Man who can just satisfy your cravings. You are lining your marriage up for an epic failure. Never marry for sex. Marriage ain’t for sex. It’s far more than that.

6. DON’T MARRY DUE TO PRESSURE: Yes all your friends are getting married and the pressure is On you to pick a girl and get married. Don’t break under this pressure. Don’t rush into marriage or you may rush out of it. Take your time and choose wisely!

You’re so dedicated to your partner, you have his/her best interest at heart and you never think of betraying the person… Then boom! Like a painful blow, it hits you right across the face.

So for all our readers, this time for the ladies first. We are going to short list some vital signs that you should take note off when your boyfriend is about to cheat on you. 1. HE CONSTANTLY GETS ANGRY AT YOU:Whenever you notice that your boyfriend is constantly getting angry at you, without any concrete reasons. This is a red light. You had better brace up for it. 4. WOULD NOT STOP TALKING ABOUT HIS “SWEET” RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS EX: If he does this, then it’s the same as bringing up the past. Yea, no matter how good his ex was to him, you are here now and you should be the center of his world. If he just can’t stop going on and on about his ex-girlfriend then he’s still hanging on to the past and that could be a sign that he wants to cheat on you.

5. HE IS UNSUALLY SEXUAL: Yea, I know you may be saying this is a good sign… But it’s not. Whenever your boyfriend becomes usually sexual, brings up sex in everything this could mean he is about to cheat. Especially when you don’t give him the sex. Guys are always “sexified” but when you notice that it’s becoming excessive and compulsive, then he’s about to cheat on you.

6. HE FINDS FAULT IN ALL YOU DO: He suddenly becomes hard to please.. .. Like the joke of a guy giving his girlfriend two eggs…. And she fried the one she was supposed to boil and boiled the one she was supposed to fry… Lol. When this kinda scenarios becomes your case, then it’s better you walk out of the relationship to avoid stories like “All guys cheat” “Girl commits suicide after her boyfriend cheated on her”.

This rampant behavior that is typing "Amen" on Facebook abeg ehn what does it even mean? People know how to play On an average Nigerian emotions and religious attitude. Someone would photoshop a picture and ask people to drop an "amen" and in few minutes you'd see thousands of amen on the posts as if that does anything. That's something I have made up my mind never to do. Nigerians are really funny people. Let's test it.

Dark skinned people are like the best and most beautiful people you’d ever meet(no offense to our light skinned friends) But we can’t deny the fact that Black is beautiful! Am dark skinned myself and am one of the cutest guys you’d ever meet

But there are some experiences that comes with being dark-skinned in a country like ours, especially a country where being an “oyinbo” is very celebrated. Am going to write down some experiences I had growing up as a dark-skinned person and am sure you’d be able to relate to a few or all of them.

1. BLACKY: People would tend to call you blacky especially when you are very dark-skinned. I didn’t experience this myself because am not that dark, am “chocolate” in complexion. However I have been around where a very dark skinned person is, and some people would just forget your name and replace it with blacky….. Black man…. Etc


2. GO AND TONE YOUR SKIN: This could be very annoying! Must I bleach my skin? When you are dark skinned, everyone around you becomes a skin care adviser… They would suggest the cream that you’d use to get a light tone….. They use the word “tone” when in reality it’s actually… Bleaching! Abeg I like my skin like this jare.

3. COMPARE YOU WITH YOUR LIGHT SKINNED FRIENDS: The ladies especially can relate to this. When that guy approaches you and you turn him down, he would let you know that you should be happy that he even approached you, instead of your light skinned friend. The comparison can be killing! Just don’t get any low self esteem because of this comparisons. Black is very beautiful.


4 YOU GET LESSER ATTENTION: This again is very common to the ladies. Whenever you are walking with your friend, all the guys attention would be On the light skinned girl. I don’t know what is wrong with African men and light skinned ladies. The bad part is that some of the men even running after the light skinned ladies, are dark skinned sef! Mtchew

The Nigerian police force is one institution that 90% of Nigerians hate. People really don’t like the police force. I was surprised when they did their recruitment and the same Nigerians that hated them nearly crashed their servers with applications! Well I guess it’s the joblessness in this country. No matter how jobless I am, I can’t apply for that institution because I have really had bad experiences with them. I get jittery whenever I see a police man handling a gun, cos you never know when they might shoot and cry “Accidental discharge”. I recently had another experience with them, this time I wasn’t invovled directly……. But it was a bad experience either way.

I came back to my church after I had gone out with another staff of truenaijayarn.com to Cover a show at a popular hotel in Nigeria. I noticed that, the major road which is mile2/Volks road was blocked so people had to follow the in-roads…. Which is Agric/Ira road to navigate through Alaba. The Ira police station men came out to help with the traffic gnarl on the roads. Ira police officers are like one of the most notorious police officers in Nigeria. You can’t differentiate them from a tout. All they wanna do is extort money from Okada men. One day they chased an Okada man till the man fell off the bike with his passenger and was badly injured.

On that day, A bus filled to the brim with load, that the bus bent so low to the ground. Ordinarily this is against the law and the man should be arrested with his overload bus. But to my greatest surprise. He paid some “change” and he was let go.

Another taxi driver swerved off the road and wanted to drive through the traffic….. “Park!” the police men hollered and waved him down. I don’t know what was wrong with the taxi driver he flared up….. He too must have had bad experiences with police men, and one way to intimidate them is by “opening eyes” for them, if you stay calm for an average Police officer you would pay him all your salary that day…. Lol.

“get down!” the police man barked angrily and before we knew it he smashed the car’s side mirror, moved to the number plate and bent it beyond recognition. We all stood watching the scenario play out……. “so I tell you make you park, you dey shine eye for me” the police man asked the taxi man staring straight in his eyes. The taxi man stood defiantly, explaining to other police men…… It was clear that the police men just wanted money, they asked the man for his driver’s license, which he provided and as soon as he brought it out the angry police officer who had bent his Number plate, snatched the license and put it in his pocket.

The taxi driver got angry and flared up seriously with his the police man and before we knew it, the police man dazed the taxi man……. Everyone was watching the scene, I should have snapped or gotten a clip….. But make dem no go break my camera.
The taxi driver got more angry and warned the police man never to slap him again…. This obviously infuriated the police man and the most popular Nigerian question “who are you? Do you know who I am?” entered. Nigerians have ego issues.

Out of the corner of my eyes, I saw the police man bring out a cartridge, and inserted it in his gun and Cocked the gun!!! As soon as I saw this I jejely picked up my bag and left the scene as fast and as far as My legs could carry me!

It is not news that women have a very “sharp” mouth,but it gets to a point where it can become a snake. I have this friend who is like a brother to me and he gave me the permission to post his story so others could be careful in their choices of partners. My friend and the girl started dating last year November and the relationship was going on quite smoothly. However,i am always against relationships that starts off on first sight,i guess am not a believer in love at first sight.According to my friend,the relationship started from a scene like this

And just like that,the relationship started.They dated till this year july and were doing badly in the relationship as they were constantly fighting.Another sign of a bad relationship is when there is constant conflict,It is okay when people quarrel from time to time in a relationship,but when quarreling becomes a focal point of the relationship then there is an issue somewhere.

so this my friend and his girlfriend quarreled constantly until oneday the girl went to his Facebook and pulled out old pictures of the boy and his ex-girlfriend which he forgot to delete and started tormenting him for allowing the pictures to still be there and that night, there was a huge quarrel.
Again I would want to advise, never date a woman or man, who constantly reminds you of your past, bringing your past back at your face and condemning you for it. The past should always be left at the past. If you date or marry someone who takes you everytime back in time, like he or she is a time machine…. Then it’s time to reconsider that relationship.

Back to the story, the quarrel was really huge……and went on for days….. But he still have her a chance to write her wrongs. So she came to his house to see him….. Instead of settling….. The mouth running began…. You know how women are na.. But some words carry weight and can bring down a mountain….. No wonder God Said, if you say to this mountain MOVE it would move. Words are powerful.

In the heat of her mouth….. She told her boyfriend that the organization the guy just opened would never work!! And I wondered, so you weren’t in support of all this boy was doing, working his ass off…. Maybe so he could marry you…
If it had ended here it would have been pardonable… She went a step further and said “James all I have achieved in my short 18 years of life, you who is almost clocking 29/30 has never achieved it!!” That was the stunner! I don’t know the heat of anger one can be in that would warrant that kind of statement.

Out of the heart’s abundance the mouth speaks. Is it possible that this girl had been looking down on this guy all this while? Is it possible that she felt he was a loser? Is it possible she was comparing him to other guys who were approaching her, then giving her a feeling that the boy is a nobody? Note that this girl above still lives with her mummy and daddy, haven’t finished school, Works in her mum’s school and eats her parents food……. So is it just immaturity?

That word has today broken the relationship beyond repair. Ladies/guys no matter the heat of your anger it can’t boil yam. Some words can forever destroy something good. Listen to music that you don’t neccasrily like, analyze and pick articulations you don’t know. Also listen to Music that you like and master them. This gives you insight for your own songs and enhances your creative abilities.

3. FREEDOM TO CREATE WITHOUT FEAR: Create your own tunes and sound. Don’t be afraid of what it may sound like, some of the best songs where initially crappie. When you are creating something unfamiliar, take a pause and look at it, but don’t stop keep doing it. When you keep doing the things you feel comfortable in you’d never unleash your musical Genius.
