Burying The Memories Of Childhood Abuse Fri, 10 Jan 2020 ‘You have wiped out all remembrance of them.’ Isaiah 26:14 NASB Psychologists tell us that one out of three people has experienced physical, emotional, or sexual abuse. Most are ashamed to talk about it! They walk around filled with resentment, thinking not only about the offender, but also the people who should have protected them and didn’t. The truth is, if they don’t get help, the memory of what was perpetrated against them can end up hurting them more than the event that actually happened. If you’re a victim of abuse, here are some Scriptures you need to read, stand on, and turn into a prayer: ‘I cried out to You, O Lord…“You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living. Attend to my cry, for I am brought very low; deliver me from my persecutors [memories], for they are stronger than I. Bring my soul out of prison [the past], that I may praise Your name.”’ (Psalm 142:5–7 NKJV) ‘O Lord our God, masters besides You have had dominion over us; but by You only we make mention of Your name. They are dead, they will not live; they are deceased, they will not rise…You have punished and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.’ (Isaiah 26:13-14 NKJV) Now, you can choose to forgive your offender and their power over you will be broken! Once you’ve done that, place them in God’s hands and allow Him to deal with them. Refuse to remain a victim. Instead of continuing to live in secret shame, you will discover that the power of God can heal ‘the broken-hearted and [bind] up their wounds.’ (Psalm 147:3 NKJV) |
Here we go again. I thought we won't see any of this crap in 2020 nii. Could somebody please inform the IGP. arrant nonsense. |
Understanding Each Other’s Gifting (2) Thu, 9 Jan 2020 ‘Where there is no vision, the people perish.’ Proverbs 29:18 KJV Karen Williams continues: ‘To function successfully as a team, each person needs to be trained in understanding how the others function. That’s the only way they’ll be able to communicate, as they all speak completely different languages. The visionary has to become the cheerleader, holding the vision out before the people over the entire lifetime of the implementation stage so they can remember why they’re doing what they do. They have to understand that the process person and the task person have different measures for their own success, and they must acknowledge progress and milestones with praise and celebration. The process person has to be able to encourage the visionary that through the processes their vision will be accomplished. And they also have to encourage the task person that each and every task is imperative to the success of the completed vision, and that performing tasks according to the defined processes is critical for success. Likewise, the process person and the task person must realise that the visionary needs encouragement via responses that demonstrate their support for their vision. The visionary can’t lead without this understanding. The process person can’t serve or lead without this understanding. The task person can’t serve without this understanding. There are different “measurables” for each person, allowing them to consider themselves a success in his or her particular role. And of course, the key is placing the right gift in the right role, communicating its value to the entire team, and constantly supporting it privately and publicly.’ This is why Paul wrote to his team: ‘Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God.’ (Philippians 1:3 NLT) |

Understanding Each Other’s Gifting (1) Wed, 8 Jan 2020 ‘God has given us different gifts.’ Romans 12:6 NLT In ministry, like any other field, we need to understand the individual process that comes with each person’s gifting. Karen Williams, president of Strategic Media Solutions, writes: ‘A ministry is composed of several gifted individuals… led by a common vision God has birthed in its leader. These individuals can typically be grouped into three categories: (1) visionary; (2) process-oriented; (3) task-oriented. There’s an emotional response for each person in their area of giftedness as it relates to the birth and successful completion of a vision. A visionary gets an “emotional high” when the vision becomes clear to them. When they present it to those who’ll be charged with “making it happen”, they think those in attendance will be as “high” as they are upon hearing this perfectly clear, world-changing vision. For a visionary, when the vision is fully clear, it’s effectively 100% complete. That’s why they can go on to create and receive other visions long before the first one is truly manifested. But for the process-oriented person, the vision that has been presented is “on hold” until it can be translated into processes. The emotional “high” for them comes when the processes are clearly defined and documented and they feel they’ll successfully support the completion of the vision. So their “high” doesn’t come until well after the vision has been presented. For the task-oriented person, the vision that’s been presented is also “on hold” as they haven’t yet been given anything to do. Their emotional “high” comes with the completion of tasks, things they can mark off their to-do list. Thus their “high” doesn’t occur until the end of the completed tasks mapped out within the processes.’ |

Don’t Give Up On Them Tue, 7 Jan 2020 ‘Your people are gathering to come home! Your sons will come from far away.’ Isaiah 60:4 GNT One of the lessons Jesus taught in the parable of the Prodigal Son is this: don’t give up on someone no matter how bad things may be in their lives. We give up too soon because: (1) We see only their conduct. But we don’t know the experiences they’ve gone through that may have made them what they are. Sometimes people ‘act out’ of the pain of unhealed wounds and unresolved issues they carry inside them. Sometimes their anger is masking deep fear. Other times, they act like the dysfunctional parents who raised them, because those are the tools they were given to work with. And until someone shows them a new and better way to handle life, they’ll remain stuck. (2) We don’t know what people are struggling with. Don’t let their façade of success fool you. Someone can live in a nice home, and drive a nice car to a nice job, yet their marriage is falling apart, their children are in rebellion, and their mind is going crazy. They need your compassion. Instead of writing them off as a lost cause, ask God for words of wisdom. Isaiah said, ‘The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.’ (Isaiah 50:4 NIV) If you’ll keep praying for them and trying to help them, God will make you a paramedic of His mercy and grace. So the word for you today is: don’t give up on them—because God hasn’t! |

World War III: US Veteran Pundit Reveals Why America Cannot Defeat Iran A US-born prolific author and mobile pundit, Tomi Ahonen, has given reasons why it would be impossible for the United States to defeat Iran if war breaks out among the two nations. Ahonen, an ardent critic of the President Donald Trump government, said World War 3 will be as bloody as North Korea and elongating as that of Afghanistan He said America will regret and may never win the war, which has been predicted to be deadliest if it happens. Ahonen’s position follows the death of Iran’s most powerful military commander, General Qasem Soleimani. The US has claimed responsibility for his death during an airstrike in Iraq. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has also said “severe revenge awaits the criminals” behind Friday’s attack. The pundit noted that Trump made the risky move to distract Americans from his impeachment. “Trump is risking a war with Iran & #WWIII. Pompeo wants this war. Trump NEEDS a war to distract from his impeachment and ever worse details leaking. So there is a big push for war in Iran. This is a VERY VERY incredibly BIGLY bad idea,” he Tweeted. “The obvious comparison with Iran is Iraq (they are neighbors) hoping it could be fast and ‘easy’. Some see parallels to Afghanistan (also a neighbor of Iran) the longest war of the USA. Others fear Iran could be another Vietnam. Or as bloody as the Korean War. “The USA CANNOT DEFEAT an enemy like Iran, this strong, this big, this competent, this HEAVILY ARMED with ADVANCED weapons who is UNIFIED & experienced,” the pundit concluded. “Since WW2, USA has been involved in ‘big’ wars with 4 nations (excluding the smaller conflicts like Bosnia, Somalia or Syria). Korean war (fought to a draw), Vietnam war (the USA lost), Afghanistan war (longest war, still ongoing, can’t be won) and Iraq (2 times). “So let’s start Iran with geography. Iran is a HUGE country. It is as big as North Korea… plus North Vietnam…. plus Afghanistan… and Iraq – COMBINED. Yes, Iran is a giant country, not EASY to defeat a LARGE country. But let’s look at its terrain. Iraq War was the tank war in the desert and the smart missiles, and heavy airpower. Tanks work well in wars in the DESERT. The USA had tanks in Vietnam and Afghanistan too. THEY DIDN’T HELP. America lost those wars. Russians tried tanks in Afghanistan too: lost. “A DRAMATIC difference between neighbors Iraq and Iran is that Iraq is flatland desert sand. And Iran is MOUNTAINS like.. Afghanistan. Not suitable terrain for tank warfare (for much of the country, there are some plains yes). “So then air power. The USA has the world’s biggest and most powerful air force. BY FAR the strongest in the world. And what is America’s favorite air power tool? The remotely piloted ‘drone’ like the Predator. Unmanned killer in the sky. Nearly unstoppable. “Who invented the modern remotely piloted drone? Not the USA. It was invented by Israel (Tadiran Mastiff and IAI Scout). Most Western Air Forces have deployed Israeli Drones. Most drones flying today include Israeli licenced tech. the Predator has Israeli tech. The unmanned remotely-piloted warplane, the ‘drone’ is America’s favorite tool to fight wars today. And who used them first? Israel. Who used them SECOND? A DECADE before the USA deployed drones in a war?… yeah… IRAN (against Iraq in its decade-long war). “The USA has never fought an adversary who HAD DRONES. Iran has LONGER MILITARY experience using drones IN BATTLE, than the USA and Iran was the first nation to deploy OFFENSIVE weapons onboard drones (when even Israel only used them for ‘spying’). Nasty enemy! “Let’s skip airplanes and tanks. Let’s go to the most expensive weapon system ever deployed – US Navy’s mighty aircraft carriers. USA used airpower from carriers in most of its wars including Korea, Vietnam (John McCain was a NAVY pilot) and Iraq. “Iran does NOT have aircraft carriers. But they have the WORST enemy for carriers instead – SUBMARINES. North Korea did not have submarines during the Korean war. North Vietnam didn’t have subs in the Vietnam war. Iraq didn’t have subs in either of the Iraq wars. “Since World War 2, USA has not fought ANY war against ANY rival including the small wars Somalia, Syria, and Bosnia – where the adversary operated submarines. Iran has submarines. They CHANGE the combat equation at sea – TOTALLY. “Let’s talk population. Iran’s population is near 90 million. That is about the same as 3 out of the four rivals I mentioned: Iraq, Afghanistan, North Korea, and North Vietnam. Take THREE of those four, the population (when they had their war) is about 90 million. “Then let’s talk about INDUSTRIALIZATION. Some idiots think ‘Iranians are Beduins’ like ‘Arabs’. Iranians are not Arabic people. They are PERSIANS who are related to Europeans. Iran is an INDUSTRIALIZED country, similar to Southern European countries. “When the USA fought North Korea, it was a peasant nation. North Vietnam was a farming peasant nation. Afghanistan was and still is one of the poorest and least literate countries on the planet. Iraq was an oil-only economy. Iranians are EDUCATED and DIVERSE economy. “I do not mean that Iran could ‘win’ a war it STARTED against USA (like say a Pearl Harbor style sneak attack). I mean Iran is FAR worse rival than Vietnam or Afghanistan, a war USA cannot – CANNOT win. It would be a DECADES long quagmire of death and blood. “When USA fought Iraq (twice) that ‘nation’ was ineffective civil war, among THREE factions (Sunnis closely aligned with Syria, Shias aligned with Kuwait and Iran, and the Kurds). Iran is a HOMOGENOUS nation, essentially all Persians. Not DIVIDED “Earlier in 2019 Trump talked of 120,000 troops for Iran War. HAHAHA. Iran fought a DECADE-LONG war, when Saddam Hussein yes Iraq attacked. With 600,000 soldiers! When France & Soviets FULLY supported Iraq, & UK & USA supported modestly Iraq & nobody Iran. “Saddam had superiority in tanks, airplanes, soldiers, plus Saddam had MILITARY support of essentially all major weapons-providers. And IRAN HAD NO SUPPORT (in fact, Israel secretly helped Iran a little bit). Yet Iran pushed Iraq back, to stalemate. “Iran has what Vietnam had – Vietnam had ALREADY defeated Japan & France, by the time US went in. Iran has what Afghanistan had – Afghanistan had ALREADY defeated Britain & Soviets (Russians) before the US went in. And USA could not win its OWN wars vs VN & Afghanistan. “I do not mean, that Iran could in any way ‘win’ against the USA (like invade Texas or Alaska haha). But the USA CANNOT DEFEAT an enemy like Iran, this strong, this big, this competent, this HEAVILY ARMED with ADVANCED weapons who is UNIFIED & experienced. “Trump & Pompeo are pushing for a war against Iran. Trump wants ANY war to distract from his problems. A war in Iran would be NOTHING like the ‘easy’ wars in Iraq. War in Iran would be like the mess in Vietnam & the unending war in Afghanistan – only WORSE. “If Iran had done something HORRIBLE – like how Saddam Hussein INVADED and took over Kuwait – then maybe it might make sense to build a coalition for war. What we should know is that TRUMP’s lender – SAUDI ARABIA – want American soldiers to go die in Iran. “Saudi Arabia sees Iran as its regional rival. While both are Muslim nations, they have differing religious views (Iran is Shia, Saudi is Sunni). Saudis would love nothing more, than to see Iranian blood spilled – by AMERICAN soldiers dying there. Wrong war!” Copied |

Take Your Issue To Jesus Mon, 6 Jan 2020 ‘She came up behind Him and touched the edge of His cloak.’ Luke 8:44 NIV The Bible says: ‘A woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped. And Jesus said, “Who touched Me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, ‘Who touched me?’” But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me”…And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith hath made you well.”’ (Luke 8:43-48 NKJV) This woman had a problem that was draining the life out of her, one no doctor could cure. So she did what you need to do—she took her problem to Jesus, touched Him by faith, and was made whole. Think about what she had to overcome. Twelve years of suffering. A sense of hopelessness and despair because she’d ‘spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any.’ Then there was the crowd that thronged Jesus and stood in her way. Nevertheless, the moment her faith made contact with Jesus, she was made whole. So what’s your biggest problem today? Is it a long-term one? Is it at home or on the job? Is it a health issue or a stubborn habit? Don’t stop until you get to Jesus, even if that means getting down on your knees in prayer and pushing through every obstacle that stands in your way. Touch Jesus by faith today, and you too can be made whole. |
