Car Talk › Re: Changing The Radiator Of Your Tokunbo Car From Single Cell To Double Cell by BTT(m): 5:36pm On Dec 27, 2014 |
BTT: Well, I am aware of the age of this thread and have read every single post here. Though I an an active nl user, I came by this page via Google as I endlessly seek a solution to my car's over-heating troubles.
It is a 2000 model Infiniti G20. The temperature needle begins to climb above the middle area and even threatens to hit the roof after 60 to 90 minutes of driving with the a/c on- usually in hot afternoons. But as soon as I put the a/c off, the temperature begins to return back to the mid point. This has kept me looking for answers everywhere. Please help me.
Basic facts: i. The fans are working (I have now connected them directly to forestall any 'eventuality') ii. The Radiator remains filled. Reservoir coolant level is consistently at 'max' level. iii. My radiator is single cell. iv. This only happens when the a/c is on and outside temperature above 30°. v. The car is an auto transmission vi. The radiator cap is not leaking.
Siena, Nissparts, Trac, Fatai2, excolanto, and all car enthusiasts in the house please come in and show some help. Abbeg make una helep my case o... Na to beg I dey. |

Jimi I love, PDP I don't.
What do you call one good man in a bad company?
Honestly, the entrance of Mr Agbaje to the Lagos guber race is sure to give APC a good run for their dough.
Somehow I think whichever way the pendulum swings, the Lagos electorate is blessed with 2 good choices. Not so can be boasted of the centre. No. |

2 years ago, I was torn by this exact dilemma.
I was crazy about the Golf iv. I was all over Lagos searching for it with vigour. It was either I found one without meeting my specs or was outside my budget.
Then one day I ran into the Infiniti G20 (which is your Primera with the Infiniti badge), then I went to various websites to compare both cars. That made my situation worse as ratings were often same or nearly so.
I spoke with local mechanics and having had a sore experience with what their incompetence can do to non-Japanese cars, I believed their bias for the Infiniti. Remember, your mechanic will be the one to have a relationship with your car apart from you. Ask him/them.
There's no flogging I have not given to that car - nothing! Including towing a broken down loaded 98 Pathfinder from Oyo town to Ilorin in the dead of the night.
Apart from suspensions, which was a problem INITIALLY, all other issues have been minor and less scary for our average Nigerian technician. Trust me, you don't want a car that our mechs will be too afraid to touch or too revering to try.
Go for the Primera. You won't regret it. My 1 kobo.

I am never a fan of GEJ but for this once I agree that this statement is less characteristic of cluelessness.
Although I neither see what is emotional about this nor identify how this is response to APC/Amaechi, I am of the opinion that the headline is opinionated and instigating.
Good luck Mr Jonathan, but I don't owe your incompetences my vote. |

BondiOscar: Security officers seized a woman dressed in Islam hijab with bomb in her underwear at Murtala Hospital in Kano where the survivals of Friday’s bomb blast were receiving treatment.
The terrorist dressed in full hijab, putting on a black stocking with a bomb in her underpants and she was thought to be a visitor who came to visit one of the bomb blast victims.
Report has it that the bomb was immediately disconnected by the security at the hospital and the woman was set ablaze. It was also gathered that the woman arrived at the hospital with two other terrorists with guns who were probably waiting for the explosion to go off so that they can start shooting people.

Eziachi: Am a lay person when it comes to computer technology but I still know for sure that Apple iMac computers do not have external CPUs, they are internal. If you want to break the activities of your opponent using the apparatus of the state, at least make sure that you get your story right, accurate, authentic and believable. And you raided a place and recovered an incriminating evidence, you just don't broadcast it until you present it as an evidence in court, Meanwhile everything listed are normal basic things you see in any modern office. There was no mention of any smoking gun in relation to cloning of a card as if APC do not have the right to produce their party membership cards. Who on earth sets up a hacking office, when you can do it anywhere while sipping a cup of coffee? And too sir, there was no mention of internet facility- modem, WiFi, mifi, etc. The only thing that makes me think APC is suspect is their not filing for court action. But then our DSS keep competing with SS3 students' IQ. Like I said elsewhere, the DSS should have their hands full to meddle with politics. The Nassarawa Eggon malady perpetrators are still at large about one year after. Let alone arrested BokoHaram suspects in DSS cuztody who have yet to extract information capable of ending the monstrous terrorism. Makes one begin to think that the Boys Scout s a better team. |

I do not see this as what the learned prof is talking about. I am rather it is a security feature, but you never know with symbols!
But then, they have asked the government to explain. I hope the presidency's media team addresses this and allays the fears in the prof's quarters.
I earnestly hope they don't bungle another opportunity to shine their boss, as they are rarely wont to do.

I was also expecting additional pictures of putting in tears, which is also one of his favoured pastimes. |

dotman2460: I was there a week back around 6:30am. We all waited patiently for the first interview and hoped that if his/her visa was granted the goodluck would rub off on the rest of us....for where?
It was a lady and her interview took place in booth 7. She claimed that she was going to attend a seminar sponsored by a company she distributes for here in Nigeria. After the VO found her not eligible for the visa, he was about handing over her documents when the lady said, "Oga, please hold on to it, my interview can't be over". Then VO repeated that "you are ineligible", while he was saying this, the lady keep on explaining how many clients she has, how much she makes... vo repeated himself, Lady also repeated her self. At that point everyone laughed so hard. The lady left a few seconds later.
My own unusual experience.
Same day as above. While waiting in line outside, I discovered that I was feeling some fresh air around my toes, on both feet. When I looked down, the sole of my shoe was coming off from the front. Horror!!! I've not even entered the Consulate yet. Why me? With each step I took, more of the sole was coming off, got to a point I couldn't lift my feet to walk, I dragged them, I was already in the interviewing area at this point.
I kept on praying for this little incidence not to cause any visa denial. It didn't. After it was approved, I majestically walked out with half of the sole of my shoe gone. When people waiting outside saw me, there laughed, and I thought within myself......"dey laugh me, make you no go face your own interview" By the way, those shoes, did you buy them from TrueRebel? #justcurious |
