bemeruca:Yes, education. I'm certain you are aware of my atheism, yet you've seen me defend Islam, and hopefully Christianity. The reason is my awareness of those religions attempting to give humans common foundations. And while one wouldn't call religion education today, the mass education we do have today did evolve from mosques and churches. Today, we have schools and the internet. But schools, not having the same curricula everywhere, and the vast diversity of books and the internet, we are bound to have different ideologies and perspectives on things. Still, we must overcome our differences and have regard for one another. (I say "regard" because 'love' sounds yukky in the context of you and I, lol). This overcoming is what has allowed non-predominant Muslim London to elect a Muslim Mayor thrice. We do not let our differences be the reason we cut off our own noses. One can add to the conflict, Ben, like I claim the likes of Tommy does. Or one can be the salt of the earth. The choice is entirely ones. |
citizenY:Except that my responses are not only for this fellow, I'd have gladly taken your very wise advice. It compels your like to further educate him, and that is worth more than gold. |
Freeze007:This is like asking if I am a bot, lol. Seun specifically created Nairaland so we can chitchat with one another, so please be welcome. |
ono:I am your exact opposite, ono. The complexities make me work harder and ask and knock and seek with all my heart and soul and mind and means and body and time. And it includes overcoming my limitations as much as I possibly can. For being perfect (not that I am close, mind), is how a very wise person once told me is how to glorify the Father, if I so desire to that is. And not trying is like offering one's god Cain's offering and being displeased that God prefers that of Abel. I do not merely accept the system I am born into, ono. I study the system and other systems so I can choose what system I live in and by or how I may change the system to however I want it to be. It might be because I do not accept the system of Adam, and would rather choose that of God's Image. And would do an Eve to get it if I must. ono:My lovely mummy and daddy copulated and produced buda. And as is said, valar morghulis. |
DeepSight:That might be because you are not looking through his lens, and are looking through your own eyes and therefore see different. Einstein's General Theory of Relativity, is lens forming. Those not aware might think we all must see the same things, and we become displeased when others do not see how one sees. Such do not understand that we fly with what we consume, a la, we reason how we are conditioned to reason, and see through the lenses we place in front of our eyes. Essentially, different lenses, different perceptions. But some will claim their sight (opinion, view, ideology, gods etc) is the only valid one. |
bemeruca:I totally agree! And with much civility. |
Freeze007:buda does not respond to pms. They can be emailed at gmail. |
bemeruca:It's not like you are likely to turn blue or I go red all of a sudden, but we can be ideologically different and still agree to disagree with civility. It takes brain power, I admit. The question is, do you and I have such powers, or wish to cultivate it? |
DeepSight:I can live with whatever it suggests, deepsight. And to be sincere, I love the mystique too. Just see the attention your thread has generated already, lol. The fact I can be here as long as I have and most still wonder is kind of an achievement. And amusing when those who get my gender wrong claim to know whatever about me. DeepSight:Oh. Truth, lol. Okay, let me try. Everything written in The Mystical Life of Jesus, is uncorroborated and is likely to be untrue, while everything written in Mental Alchemy can be made to be true or not. You asked about spirituality earlier, and this is sort of where it applies. It necessitates not seeing things as dichotomic. DeepSight:You do keep insisting on this "belief" thing, lol. My buddhism, Zen, to be specific, is not a belief system, but more of a philosophy. As in, a lens that one sees through. One does not carry the boat along the journey after a river is crossed. You leave the boat and walk. Basically, the cause of my own dhukka is my own tanha. And the solution to my tanha is the Eight Fold Path. It makes me responsible for myself. DeepSight:No sir, I do not "really think the physical body is all there is to us". I am not currently engaging with your physical body, I am engaging with your mind. When I die though, my mind will die with me. But please know that sneaky me is ensuring I live on after I die. I'll tell you how only if you ask. DeepSight:Sincerely speaking, I don't think we have interacted as much as you think. Or shall I say, not as deep. And I mentioned those specific gods more for the response. God, in any form, and as far as I am concerned, is a gap filler. Those willing to know will seek more instead of filling the gap with gods and no more seeking. My insistence on writing "god" is so only God is not assumed. DeepSight:Even gods must have causes, unless one wants to claim gods are uncaused, which in my view invalidates the idea of an uncaused cause of anything. Ref: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turtles_all_the_way_down Please know that language is an imperfect medium to put these things across. In Zen we'd ask if you can hear me clapping with one hand. I appreciate that your questions make me struggle. |
bemeruca:We can learn ben. You and I can learn to see each other as human beings and treat each other with regard and respect despite our differences. Care to try from now on? |
bemeruca:Your wishing is advocacy. You do not need to eliminate "all these ethnicities" before human beings see themselves as one. You just need to educate people to see each other as one. It is what Jesus is trying to teach you when he commands you to love your neighbours. He did not only mean those living next door to you, but those in the neighbouring villages and countries too. Today, technology makes every human on earth your neighbour, whom you should learn to love instead of letting the likes of Tommy teach you to hate. |
bemeruca:There was never 4 people on earth ben. But yes, stewpidity is the reason humans do not learn to coexist. bemeruca:Actually, it is learned behaviour. And you can easily go to school to learn not to be stewpid too. We teach it in schools here in UK, though some, like Tommy, still refuse to learn. bemeruca:No Ben, I am not agreeing with what you are saying, and what you are advocating for in your saying is stewpid and impossible to implement since you can not limit the movement of people with different ethnicities. The below is to stimulate you to research the early mixing of humans and their multiculture, and to dispute your 4 people in the world!

meobizy:U guess these children are learning the jungle justice they learn from their parents. They'll pay for it when caught. |
bemeruca:There is no way I can convince you that it is your own misunderstanding that is the "kind of", and that is to be expected since you do not wish to be dominated by me. It is not that "zulus and Igbos are not one in SA" that makes them stewpid. The fact they can not peacefully coexist (if they can not, that it), is what makes them stewpid. If they were not stewpid they'd learn to coexist even if they disagree. It's what democracy was created to enable, note. bemeruca:This need to dominate another is what makes them stewpid. And thankfully, they will learn to coexist or annihilate each other. Think Europe. They used to fight wars of dominance, but have now wisely evolved into a peaceful union. bemeruca:Ben, why are you trying to dominate me to keep quiet? I obviously have a lot to say and I am saying it. Better is you dominating yourself and not engage me instead of trying to dominate me, which you can never ever do. |
DeepSight:My gender is really irrelevant to whatever I have to say, and I don't want it to be focussed on and what I have to say be missed. I like your imagination, note. DeepSight:My father spent a lot of money on Rosicrucian, and my mother is displeased because of it. I don't feel he derived much from it neither, as he got lost in the mystical aspect and missed the understanding. I love their books though, as they are food for the mind, as in they make one wonder. But then you must have gathered that atheist me loves my Bible too, and my Quran and Aesop and books in general. Sadly, I can't read as much as I used to for some reason. DeepSight:Wakefulness to me means having an understanding of how the world works. I'm not claiming I know it all, but I'd like to hope I'm not sleeping through life. You can read what I say literally, or you might understand the spirit of what I write. That's not to say I'm placing the two as opposites, but just a crude juxtaposition. It's more to do with understanding and how one perceives life. I could argue that I aim to have a "personal sense of connecting with something larger than oneself (that could be you, note), focusing on meaning, purpose, and inner awareness rather than strictly organized religion", since it "involves exploring deep questions about life, self-awareness, and a, "relational consciousness" with oneself, others, and the universe, often fostering peace, compassion, and well-being", which are all things that interest and concern me. My understanding of religious texts has been described as spiritual by some and devil worship by many. It is an integral core of Buddhism and most religions, and is even in philosophies, if one perceives that way. DeepSight:First, "believe" means (to me), I don't know and have chosen to accept as true things I have no evidence for and likely have evidence against (since I will seek). Fortunately, I have seen many die, by virtue of my connection to hospitals and the fact I know lots of old people. Everyone I know who has died has been put in a box and buried in the ground or been cremated, and none of them have lived after dying, so I see no reason to create crap in my own head and then believe in the crap I create in my head. No, I do not believe people or their souls live after they have died. That said, I do often have long live seeming discussions with a friend of mine who is long dead. They often start as dreams, and have sometimes continued after I have fully woken up. We lived together for years and are immensely missed by me. Our discussions seem like they live, though I know they do not. DeepSight:By God, I presume you mean Yahweh (Allah). The evidence stops me. Evidence like, why didn't you ask me what stops me seeing that the ultimate cause is Obatala, or Brahma (Hinduism), or Ra and Atum (Egypt), or Izanagi and Izanami (Japan), or Gaia (Greece), or Pangu (China) etc etc etc? They after all all are written to have been the ultimate cause by those in those places, and each of them was an ultimate cause in their own different ways, which is not possible if we are talking of the ultimate cause of this same one universe. Education and knowledge, is the answer. I know better.

CLOUDRepublic:Actually, what you need is education, like what is being provided in this thread. Once you educate yourself, you'd know how to provide protein and fat with your own brow instead of blaming others for you starving. So, please learn! |
bemeruca:They are so close to one another is the point. And they are not one because they are being stupïd. And the fact that siblings of the same parents may fight and kill each other disproves your point, since two people can not identify closer than siblings. You and I fighting is not because we are multicultural or multireasoning, but because one wants to dominate the other. Or would you claim you and I can not have our separate multireasonings and not fight? Must you agree with me ben, for there to be peace? And pray tell how I am supposed to make you agree with me please. |
bemeruca:My village people fighting our neighbours actually disproves what you are saying, but that's to be expected since you do not know how close to each other and integrated each village is. Siblings who grow up in one home with the same culture killing each other easily disproves what you insist on believing. And you can't make people who live in the same house identify as same, much less neighbours, or those on the same street or even in the same town, so I'd like to see how you would eliminate diversity. Besides, it's been tried and has failed. Below is but one example. https://www.londonmuseum.org.uk/collections/london-stories/gordon-riots-revolution-in-the-making/ |
esnbrutality:The circle needs the dot! The circle will resist the dot trying to abandoned it because the circle can't exist without the dot. Please stay awake. You'd eventually understand. |
esnbrutality:I am pleased you understand the importance of the dot and why the circle needs it.
|
bemeruca:You are not "telling", ben. You are merely staring your opinion why you think you "see so much conflicts in Nigeria today". And I am not agreeing with you since your opinion is not valid. Why is that hard for you to understand? |
DeepSight:I am going to take this your advice. He's just being a nuisance. |
bemeruca:So, you want everyone to be in the same village and under one king, and then there will be no fighting? Do you want the entire world to be one country ruled by one king too like China? I do wonder how you'd explain USA that has one ruler and yet we are here fighting. Glad you recognise however, that "people always identify themselves with sex, race, language etc". Add different location, and education too, and you might understand that identity is not so much a self thing but is imposed on one. I wouldn't identify as Nigerian if my parents were Ghanaian. And I wouldn't identify as British if I were born in Kumasi. I like the way the Quran explains what your diversity should compel you to do. Jesus Christ taught the same thing with this parable, though the different identities elude most.
|
Whois:The image you posted points more to bad non-voters than anything.
|
davidaluu:It isn't really my sort of game, so no, I have no suggestions. You keep going though please, and you might someday create the kind of game I play. Know that I admire your effort. I can not create what you have created. |
bemeruca:Ifon Osun and Orolu are neighbouring villages of the same descent and culture, and they are killing each other. And even siblings born of the same parent have been known to kill each other too. Is it your argument that people should be the same sex and tribe and race etc, and identity, there will be no conflict? In fact, do you want everyone to identify as bemeruca, or do you just not know what identity is? |
ono:Was Eve deceived? Yes, likely by Adam, since no God told Eve she'd die if she ate a fruit that we read Adam was told not to eat. But I guess your satan would wait for a Garden, and wouldn't start deceiving you by meddling with the book you read and your ability to comprehend what you read, or you'd be asking yourself why God would create humans in his image, and then create slavish îgnorant Adam from mud. I have a question for you. On what day was Adam created? |
bemeruca:You delude yourself much. The Orolu Kingdom of Ifon Osun and Ilobu Osun are one tribe killing each other, and siblings of the same parents have been known to war too. |
SpencerForbes:Are you disregarding the fact that you are the one who resurrected "your Rosicrucian/Rossí religion" here Spencer? I have the feeling Deepsight was not even aware of that thread until you resurrected it here, but I'll let him tell you himself. |
ono:The "Godlike characters" you think one must have is actually a god like understanding. And that you get by learning as much as you can. It's in fact taught in the first chapter of your god book, when it is written that you were created in God's image, and should "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth" and be blessed, which you can only do if you were given and have received "every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat". But I bet you are more like Adam, created from mud, "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die". And that's why you are naked and iggy like Adam, and are refusing to be saved from slavery by sense using Eve. Ref: https://www.nairaland.com/6795272/reeves-pass |
So, basically, just keep clicking shoot? Nice attempt. |
