bixton:Were you my mother's child by any chance? I ask because you are repeating what she taught me, apart from the pray bit. |
RealSean:Don't you think you ought to do whatever needs doing to make your ends meet if they don't meet already? No, everyone shouldn't need to be a farmer to make their ends meet. There's lots of people here not crying about gari because their ends meet already. But if your ends so don't meet that you need to be crying here about gari, then farming is an option, along with yahooism or ashewo or selling your organs or robbery. And if you survive till the next election, consider using your pvc much more intelligently than you did in the past.

bixton:That's what ma called it, a hobby. Funny thing was, from small cassava grown on the small patches of fertile land around the house, we'd get gari and fufu, and the maize we grew provided us with ogi. She even made us create a fence with bitter leave to stop people from stealing our ugwu. And our biscuits were pawpaw. We didn't feed the nation, but we didn't need to consider sawdust neither. |
masui:I single handedly elected the Agbadorian.
|
wrongman665:As in, will Fulani allow him to plant a few cassava plants in his compound? I should think so, because if Fulani was his problem, gari most likely wouldn't be his problem. Incidentally, in my own Osun State where I grew my own cassava, Fulani was not my problem. My problem was the lazy fuqs of my own village who watched me go farm everyday while they sat drinking "owo kami" (Kami money), and then go harvest my cassava behind my back when it's ready. Kami was the state rep or something, outside whose house they sat all day going "rankadede" or its Yoruba equivalent so Kami could give them 20k. There was no way they were going to give that up for the fraction of it I'd pay if they came and grew cassava with me. |
CharleyBright:Yeah, Tinubu should open borders so the hard working farmers in other countries can flood the market with the produce of their hard work so we can eat what we have not sown. We after all owe it to those countries across the border to create employment for them so we don't die of hunger. It's not as if unemployment has killed anyone yet, and who cares about sweating!
|
Konkoja:Na. Dump never said lock her up like a million times. |
maasoap:Why? Is it bad advice to grow your own cassava and make your own gari? I wasn't after all arguing, though I might just start now. Guess you never had my poor mother and her 5 kids with bras to buy and school fees to pay. If you had, and didn't want to eat sawdust, I'm certain you'd see my advice as good. |
OneCandleAway:But jmoore is not my leader, nor do I know his tribe, and nor has he done anything for me to criticise him for. ![]() Tinubu, on the other hand, is from my tribe.
|
Have you tried sawdust? It's free from the sawmill or 50 Naira per garawa depending on the wood quality. Alternatively, grow your own cassava and make your own gari.
|
2aces:Benefits of being trained well.
|
Sounds like they were assassinated. I dare anyone to mention Fulani! |
Perhaps guys shouldn't keep disturbing this very smart girl so she doesn't need to be wicked to them.
|
ivandragon:Well, isn't this what the majority voted for? |
Omofaye99:Except on Jan6, and when they march chanting about those they fear would replace them. |
basilico:Yet, here's me watching maga Newsmax where they are showing lawmakers probe Garland, and I watch Infowars just to see what conspiracy you'd come up with next. |
feedthenation:I have not come across a worse waster of time and liar than him. |
basilico:Like you, everything she said was lies. |
basilico:She did exactly what you do here, which is twist the facts to suit your lies, and is the reason she ges as little regard and as much disrespect as you get. |

Dododudu:I think I do get your point. We are Nigerians, and our religious books are the Bible and the Qur'an, so that is what we quote. If we were Chinese or Indians, we'd quote different books even in random conversations, advice, jokes, comedy, movies, and many more. Incidentally, our reading of only one book makes us ignorant or at least less informed than those who live by all the books the gods wrote. Only the resignation of the cabinet has been accepted. The prime minister has been tasked to form a new government. https://english.news.cn/20240603/23e189669436419096b565938e9aeaf5/c.html

Ddonoflife:Pretty much. Though I rather ride my own bike with no strangers at all. |
Dododudu:I quote Bible and Quran because those are the only religious books most Nigerians have read. Most wouldn't understand what is meant if I quoted from the Dhammapada. Thankfully, the Bible and Quran say pretty much the same thing once you get past the literal to the actual meaning.
|
Deepspirituals:You were not talking about any "we", but about yourself. I personally supported Buhari because I knew he would create suffering that would make Nigerians learn, but he disappointed me by being democratic and not jailing some people for 200 years. Hopefully, this current suffering will do the trick of enlightening the ignorant. Ref: https://www.nairaland.com/8113820/love-how-nigerians-suffering#130295549 |
The scientists’ position is that the sun is the natural and primary source of light, followed by the stars and electricity in storms.I wonder where this was gotten from. Most scientists would tell you they haven't got a clue instead of lying about what they do not know. |
The only thing possessing you is ignorance, and the fact that you don't love yourself enough to deserve better. Guess it is like an evil spirit. I agree. |
Ddonoflife:What protection? Would the 2 men abandon their own safety and save the woman in the middle? Protection is not sharing a bike with 2 other people! |
Ddonoflife:I don't share bikes with other people. I'd rather pay for 2 than share, for my own safety first, and also for my dignity. And I don't care what males prefer to do so long as they are doing it to themselves. |
Ddonoflife:Do you seriously think a smart woman would allow herself to be sandwiched between 2 potential pigs? |
Since you admit to not having read any other religious books, how can you possibly be certain they have not referenced/quoted books you never read? Anyway, here's a link to some other religious texts so you can correct your misunderstandings.
