TimmyA:Why? Will you post me where to serve? If so, I want to serve in New York please, let me contact you so you post me. |
My Dream Is To Make Everyone's Life As Miserable As MineI'm reminded why you are ignored. Pity. Cos there's a mind in there somewhere. |
Possessedkid:How about for investment, for a reason? After all, despite struggling one must save. |
Dtruthspeaker:Teaching square roots to a child is not for them to just use square roots, DT. From learning about square roots, a child will learn how knowledge develops from roots grow and increase over time into squares, and that's along with the knowledge gained from the experience of the mathematical manipulation of numbers to arrive at a result, along with how maths is used to determine precision, and so on and so on, which will benefit the child in its adult age which might include great natural living issues like building a dam or electrifying a rural area or curing cancer etc etc, because you would need to understand square roots if you want to understand the maths for that. Dtruthspeaker:Times must have changed, or some start late I suppose, or you want us to live in the dark ages! Went home recent and found jss1 who did not yet know ABC, so I'm not surprised. Should they also only hear of calculus in university? Some learn square roots in primary 3, Pythagoras for exam to secondary, but I guess you don't do those anymore. |
naptu2:Thanks for the thread. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ovonramwen https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benin_Expedition_of_1897

basilico:You brought your daughters here yourself, so you leave them out if it please you. I will consider them in response to you though Think, survival in the world you or I design.
|
HellVictorinho6:Whatever I may believe is indicative of my lack of knowledge. Take them as not certain. Things I am ignorant about. Take yourself for instance. I believe that over time you will stop being the hopeless pest you have been in the past. I do not know this for certain but I choose to believe it because I know that most learn and evolve into better versions over time. That's not to say you necessarily will. Just that recent observations of you have shown you are improving, and I am willing to believe you will continue to improve as time goes by until you prove my beliefs about you to be true or false, by when I expect to know. Well done, by the way. For improving. |
For the programmers. If you're interested in delving into some deep code analysis, feel free to go for it:

Aemmyjah:This just shows how little attention you've been paying. I do not intend to "show" whether gods exist or not, Aemmyjah. To start with you do not have the eyes to see, and nor do you have the skills and the abilities required to look. Or are you not aware that is what you confess when you claim you believe? I'm just showing you how to learn to use your own God given heart and soul and mind and being to ask and knock and seek so that you may learn and know. And many others have shown you what is knowable and how to ask and knock and seek and know. Many will come and see and read what is chaotically written, and learn what is knowable too or believe like you do. Then out of the chaos of blind ignorance will knowledge emerge to open eyes so we all evolve. I'm predicting. Long will you live to see it fulfilled.
|
Maynman:One does not need to "believe a book" when one can chose to understand books instead. To understand, does mean reading a lot more books about "a book", which will debunk beliefs anyway and teach one not to believe. It is written, live by all the gods wrote or die. And in this one case, the slow death of Adam that I've resent so much might apply, since nations that aren't developing are slowly dying due to lack of knowing. Dear cultees, this thread, as you know, has gone uber cult, like underground very deep secret et al uber. Henceforth, your minds join.
|
Aemmyjah:I do not worship. I study instead so I may know. Language and religion are connected to culture. You speak English because the English brought you God. If you'd been culturised by Arabic speakers you'd likely worship the Arab god. It's not shifting, Aemmyjah. I'm connecting the dots of my vast knowledge to explain things to you, not so you can believe me, but so you can go ask and knock and seek and learn and know for yourself what is true or not. |
cornelboy:Are you asking me to present to you all the evidence that I have studied over the years so I know, cornelboy? You do know you are asking me to give you for free all the education I paid to acquire through the years, right? Why? What is it that makes you think you deserve such a gift from me? cornelboy:We don't know. Early humans created gods to explain it but most have since moved on. That the universe was not as organised as it is is not disputed. Even earth was chaotic in its early formation. cornelboy:Not, "suddenly change, Cornel. Billions of years. Do know that I am not asking you to take my word for anything I've said here. It's all in books written by people who have studied these things a lot more than I have, and you can go read them to see what they saying so you can at least consider it. |
cornelboy:Neither is more logical since both lack sufficient evidence, though it is known that the universe was chaotic in its early stages, and has taken the form it is in today due to environmental pressures. Think, river. It is not crafted by a creator, it forms a path that the prevailing pressures force on it. Instead of concluding, a third option is to say one does not know, instead of making up things to believe. We are after all talking billions of years ago when no one was around to record how the universe came about. By chaotic is meant the planets were not as they are today, and did not travel in the predictable orbits they travel in today. Even earth's weather was chaotic before it settled into the predictable seasons we now see. |
LordReed:You know very well, my Lord, that we don't hope. Instead, we respond not to educate the op but all those who will stumble upon this thread. |
basilico:I wonder how you get through life making things up to believe. |
Sam Bankman-Fried's parent's were not a gay throuple, yet some claim they had a hand fuqing up their son. To point out one doesn't always know who will do best by their kids. https://wapo.st/3MrnQ5S And by the way, considering how much I disagree with you and how little it seems you use your brain and you maga, your daughter's may turn out greater and much better than you at recognising evidence.

basilico:Go and do your own research instead of trying to consume my time with your lack of desire to know! |
basilico:I beg your pardon Why the heck would I generate a response with chatgpt? Don't you think people who've been reading me for years would not notice if I did? Or is it that you think that my record here doesn't matter to me because yours don't to you? I guess what you are saying is it's very well crafted, if chatgpt is a good standard that is, but it's not a thing I've ever used. |
basilico:All that rubbish you wrote is based on your warped view of the world. And you disregard all evidence that shows most child abuse happens in a traditional family, and moreso in religious ones, as has been repeatedly pointed out to you in this thread, yet you wouldn't argue here that therefore religious people will fuq children up. |
basilico:I've watched the rubbish, and it's like you asking me to watch a documentary about aliens from out of space and hoping I'd believe it. Here's a link to a conversation I'm currently having. It might make you understand what acceptable evidence is so you stop insulting me with 2000mules. |
Aemmyjah:Religion is culturally dependent. And cultures can be tribes or location dependent. It's why we Yorubas worshipped Shango and Ogun instead of Ikenga and Ekwensu, and don't have the Bori religion and worship Isoki. Aemmyjah:And no one said it has. Cultural backgrounds included religions and language, especially the written ones, and pretty much influenced each other. Languages tended to ride in on the back of religion. You speak English because the god book you were given is in English, and some speak Arabic because the god book they read was in Arabic. Like programming, really. You believe what you're fed. The English you read today was made to evolve into what it is by the introduction of the Authorised Version, which standardised the language and effectively programmed the Britons and all those they fed it to. |
basilico:No, I don't think so, because I can't tell the future and neither do I know this throuple. I'm certain child services and their school and their neighbours and their doctors would include a sufficient number of individuals like you who'd be watching them like hawks in case they are abusers. Or they might make decent caring parents who educate their kids well and ensure they become successful upstanding people. They adopted a child already, and having worked in child adoptions, I can assure you that the procedure of scrutiny is intense and can take years, least it is where I am, and I don't expect USA's to be any less vigorous. |
basilico:No basilico, 2000mules is not validated, since no credible evidence has been presented for your mules, unlike the credible testable verifiable evidence presented in the case you are trying to use to validate your mules by associations that do not exist.
|
Aemmyjah:'The universality of religions', I'm certain you mean. As in the fact that religions are universal, to wit, all societies have had and have religions. The diversity of religions, also I think you mean, since societies differ immensely in how and what they worship. If the two premises above are true, that humans universally have diverse religions and diverse modes of what they worship, does that not, going by your reasoning, "prove" that there are many gods? Of course, you do err in claiming "humans give evidence", which is why I introduced you to the Scientific Method of use your own heart and soul and mind and being to ask and knock and seek and learn and know the standards of what is accepted as evidence. But listening to DT claiming children shouldn't be "forced to learn square roots" because they are not selling land, I wouldn't be surprised if you haven't yet learnt to look because you don't want to see yet.
|
Dtruthspeaker:A child is not dying yet and going to heaven so why force it to learn ABC, is your reasoning, but you wouldn't see it. Square roots is at the foundational level of maths, like 1, 2, 3, just much later, on which a whole heap of further maths is built. Which is why it is introduced early so you acquire the basic knowledge that will give you the ability to learn and know more. Just as it's dumb to wait till you need to go to heaven before learning the Way, so is it stupid to wait to learn about square roots and compound interest until you need it. That said. What age do you think a child should learn square roots? |
jaephoenix:And he doesn't know he is, or he wouldn't parade it so proudly. I'm certain maths is compulsory for high school. It used to be a requirement for university science courses and lots of the arts and socials too. You weren't admitted to law without maths in my days, though dliar's mode of reasoning and method of argument and ignorance of basic concepts doesn't show a person who knows anything about law. Societies that brought us King James have evolved to making maths and science and critical thinking compulsory in primary and secondary schools. Church of England schools stopped teaching creationism because parents stopped sending their kids there. Now they are some of the best schools, producing intelligent successful people. Thankfully, lots of Nigerians are learning to teach in UK these days, and are seeing what we've missed out on, and some will return back home to educate us to the next stage of our evolution, Amen. Till then, compassion I suppose. For they know not that they know not. |
Dtruthspeaker:Was maths not a requirement for admission to the lawyer you claim to be?
|
Aemmyjah:I love books far too much than to feel the need to defend or criticize books so old, written so well, and preserved so we can read them today. In fact, considering the neighbours, I'd add the Qur'an, and Things Fall Apart plus Soyinka and Plato etc etc etc etc. Great books see. With tons of wisdom therein. And the more fruits of knowledge that people consume the less ignorant they will be. |
Dtruthspeaker:Primary 4 maths Dliar, I do not buy land from ọmọ onilẹ in Osogbo because I own my own land in my own town.
|
Magnoliaa: If the the Holy Spirit Himself can be referred to as a helper, then Eve being an help-meet to Adam is not a degrading thing. Not only help-meet, but his saviour from ignorance and slavery and also from whence he came. Unless, rib, of course. |
