What an amazing and important priority for a Yoruba king to have. This is sure to give him the impetus and energy and time to make his Yoruba kingdom the great kingdom it is destined to be. Next week he'd marry more to increase his productivity, no doubt. Oh! And before you quote me, consider the below please, and my shame at Ife being in my Osun State.

I'm going to advise you to read the Bible, and when you're done, try the Qur'an too. Not believing is like Jesus' becoming as a child, and nothing opens eyes better that not believing what one is told and looking with one's own eyes instead. You'd be like those placed in the Garden of Eden who ate the fruit they were told would kill them but did not die when they ate it. Their eyes opened instead, and they gained wisdom, and freed themselves from naked slavery and became self employed and lived for 930 years and then finally died.

The issue here is he seems to be trying to do all the work himself with no help from the House of Reps nor the Senate nor the governors nor we the people, and this will not ever change until we Nigerians become responsible for our own enrichment and employment, and hold our reps and senators and governors responsible too. Hopefully, we'd consider this at the next election. But in preparation, go check the work of the US House of Reps and the Senate, and compare it to our Nigerian ones and you might see what I mean. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_bills_in_the_117th_United_States_Congress https://nass.gov.ng/

I don't need an excuse for disbelieving. I in fact should commend myself instead for disbelieving. For if I'm told I'd surely die if I ate a thing then ate that thing and did not die and lived another 800 years, I believe I'd have to be very stupid to not disbelieve that eating that thing would kill me, especially if that thing is good for food and for opening eyes and for gaining wisdom.

Curious345:More like, ignorant people. But I guess it's more fun blaming a religion than the ignorant stupidity of its so called adherents. |
Christiansimon:Now, that would be someone/thing to apologise to if I offended them/it. Link to offending post please. |
This is not published in any mainstream news outlet! Is that because Christians can not get her proper legal representation or what? A case for illegal detention should have been filed somewhere, and it hurts that light is not easily overcoming darkness in this case. Incidentally, a search for Rhoda Ya’u Jatau on NL shows this is the only post about her! https://morningstarnews.org/2022/10/christian-woman-on-trial-for-blasphemy-in-northeast-nigeria/ https://www.christianpost.com/news/christian-woman-on-trial-in-nigeria-for-sharing-whatsapp-post.html

If anyone feels I should apologise to them, please post link to offending post so it may be considered. |
etrange:Yes I can pay him to provide a better user experience. And if he makes billions in the process, I'd personally be delighted for him. He serves himself small is what I think. The almost 3million users he has managed to gather here are equivalent to the population of a Nigerian state. And if he had the right support and advisers around him he should be a contender for at least the House of Reps or the Senate, with eyes on state governor and perhaps someday on Aso Rock itself. |
SmartGadgetz:It's a great pity. If the platform refuses to grow, it would eventually die. Seun should consider going public and list Nairaland on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. He'd get a proper management structure that would help him evolve the platform. That's what the Zuckerbergs and the Dorseys do, and I'd love to say the Seuns too. He'd be more of an inspiration than he currently is if he does. |
SmartGadgetz:And that's why I am willing to pay, so I am not seen as an abuser of anything free, but mostly to support Seun's wonderful work of which I have benefitted for many years. |
I'm beginning to think a "get a refund" company can be set up in Nigeria. We can charge 10% or 1000 Naira, which ever is greater, of any funds refunded. Any takers? |
SmartGadgetz:I have always thought I should pay subscription like 2k a year or something for being here. So please get in touch with Seun and ask him where I should pay please. |
YoungLionken:Peter Obi is asking us all to work with him and labour for our own expectations, so if he fails, it is we who have failed to work to achieve our own expectations ourselves. He is not a messiah asking us to let him save us, but a person asking us all to bear our own crosses and save Nigeria from the imminent misery and death that the others obviously offer.

basilico:You must think everyone is dumb like you, bas. Most who engage with buda learn quick the consequences of being rude to buda not to talk of the consequences of insulting buda. But we would not expect one thread pony you to have a clue. Show us those whom you've seen insult buda, bas, so we know you are not talking crap as you always do. Let's see how they ended if they ever existed. |
SmartGadgetz:Perhaps we should all beg Seun to hire you here first. |
I guess we can return to class for 7 days, file the appeal, and strike again. Of those 7 days, 2 would be used to clean the classroom, 2 waiting for students, 1 saying hello to students, then there's Saturday and Sunday, making 7. |
basilico:The fact that you are shocked at how long I've been here goes to show how dumb and stupid and lazy you are. Most people would have done such simple research ages ago, but see yourself! No bas, I shall not use the search button to go look for evidence for your lies. You post evidence for your lie here yourself so everyone can see you for what you are. |
NerdyAboki:I set aside 50% of my income for my children. It used to be 70% of my income then I got a substantial pay rise that reduced it to less than 40% so I upped it to 50%. My partner who earns a lot matches my 50% plus some too. They are our biggest investment. Do note that my response is intended to point out the absurdity of your intelligent question, since how much anyone spends on their children depends on how much they earn, and how many children they have, and the quality of life and life opportunities they wish to provide for their children. That you ask before having said children is however very highly responsible and commendable of you. Most would have them first and then find they have not got enough income to rear them. |
Obrigardo:Like "her emails" two weeks to elections. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-us-2016-37891705

basilico:See how you refuse to use your brain. Why should I hate the Seun who has opened his home for me to freely enter for 16 years, when I can very easily hate you instead for your inability to use your own brain to reason? And why don't you post a link to "Where an OP wanted to banish you with flames of fire Can't delete because you been quoted" instead of asking anyone here to take your ignorant lies for anything? |
Op, it would have been great if he had provided sources for the data so it can be cross checked.

Buckeyemedia1:You'd say nothing changes in Nigeria if you were a kid who hadn't lived long enough. Those who have lived long would tell you how much Nigeria has changed over the decades. Even just here on Nairaland, you can easily observe change in Nigerians. Just you go look at your own very first posts on the site and you'd likely see Nigerian your very self has changed quite a lot. Saying that though, you very well might be one of those who never change and continue to commit the same errors you've always committed hoping you'd get a different result to the result you've always been getting. I hope I'm wrong about you though, and that you do have the ability to learn from past mistakes and then change. |
basilico:Now, if only you'd shown us that you understood what evidence is, someone here might agree with you. But with the kraken you constantly post and the fact that you consider hearsay as evidence and are willing to post a video full of lies as said evidence, and going as far as believing Sidney Powell who doesn't even believe herself, only fools would consider anything you have to say about anything, bas. |
Buckeyemedia1:Perhaps you think there would ever be one election for presidency in Nigeria. We realists know there'll be 2027, and 2031 and beyond, and by then your suffer suffer would have reached the point where you'd be begging Peter Obi to preside over you. As for "a tree", hopefully you are not blind to us numerous Obidients joining Obi's tree to make many forests around you. I'm very certain that if it were your preferred candidate getting the attention and support Obi were getting, you would be dancing in joy to Aso Rock already. But we Obidients would rather wait till after the elections, then shall we hopefully dance. |
basilico:If I could cancel you bas, I gladly would, and I'd sleep better once I know you are cancelled for good. Ignorance like yours should not be allowed to breath the valuable oxygen that the world is blessed with. As for my going to college, you'd have been able to tell if you had gone to college your self, which you obviously couldn't possibly have gone to or you'd have learnt there how to use the brain in your head which you obviously do not know how to use. |
Buckeyemedia1:Unfortunately, you don't have much choice. So I suggest you learn patience, because this is a problem we might have to hand over to our children if we don't buckle down and solve it before then. |
Buckeyemedia1:He may very well be the same but we'd give him a chance anyway because we can't reasonably say he is as bad as the other two. And if after 4 years he proves to be as bad, we just wouldn't elect him for another 4. That is how powerful we the people are, though we are only just realising that small small, that our presidents and all other elected officials serve at the pleasure of we the people. |
Buckeyemedia1:That, I suppose, is your own opinion, perhaps because you wish to continue to elect those who have already proven to you how corrupt they may be. Most people have suffered enough and would gladly try someone else instead of compounding their suffering by electing the same corrupt people, and I can only hope there's more of us voting than your type. |
Odewaleadesoye:One good thing about bubu's 8 years is he educated Nigerians that lazy fuqs would starve. Now many Nigerians are learning to sweat for their daily bread. Amen
