8 good months, you people have succeeded in ruining alot of lives.

Nigerian politicians are doing theirs on the side,
Nigerian lecturers are also doing theirs on the side.

Truly, the black skin is synonymous for destruction and wickedness.
Good hearted you would continue to work for free when your employer refuses to pay you what you are due, but to some that would just show how little you value yourself, probably because you lack marketable skills that someone is willing to pay you for.

We are not all like you, you see. Some of us know our value and self worth, and refuse to allow ourselves to be abused.

Thieves probably never took away something that means a lot to you tongue undecided
So if thieves have ever taken away something that means a lot to me, you expect me to go further than an eye for and eye and take their entire life in return do you?

Sorry, but I'm not barbaric like that! And a generator set is hardly something that should mean that much to me that if stolen I should steal a whole life in return!

Well done Oluvisual.

Even if FG decided to pay each Lecturer 5m every month, ASUU will still find a reason to go on a 10 months strike. They are bunch of lazy Lecturers who want to chop, but them no wan work.
Ah please! If government pays me 5m a month, I'll teach you in the day and teach you at night too, then tell government to pay me 10m please, because you definitely need that much education.

So it would seem, budaatum.
I'm glad it seems so to you. It would be rather stupid of me to be like a puppet on a string not and taking responsibility for my actions.

I might do good and you might think some god pulled the strings and did the good I did, but when I do evil you'd blame satan instead of me who did the evil.

That would be far too irresponsible for buda!

They Lecture in multiple Universitties at the same time.
For the money na. If they paid enough and on time I'm sure lecturing in one university would do.

I remember the days I used to sell 4 eggs for 1 Naira and a can of Coke for 50kobo. Ekene Dili Chukwu would stop on my foot and then run off with my eggs without paying!

Aboki trailer too, and my own kinspeople in bolekaja.

It seems ASUU has no written agreement signed by FG in 2009, else that should be a major front in the court against FG. Government is using it against them I think
It seems like they might have signed an agreement. But who'd trust a Nigerian government to stick to a signed agreement?

Your short-sightedness will not allow you to see that ASUU is fighting for your children not to be only good enough to be a filling station worker. If things continue this way, in 10 years, a Nigerian degree won’t be worth the paper it is printed on.
If only they knew.

Most Nigerian university degrees are worth less than A'Levels in UK, and for those of you who are too young to remember, that's like 2 years study after O'Levels that used to allow you to skip the first year in university.

But instead of fighting for ASUU lecturers who are fighting for the future of students and education in Nigeria, some gullible students are fighting ASUU lecturers.

Pity.

You're in Shithole Nigeria fighting for rights in America. Why not let Americans fight for America?
You don't know where I am, Gold. I do not share your "Shithole Nigeria" ideology, because if Nigeria is a Shithole then Nigerians are the shit in that hole and I don't accept that Nigerians are shit, thank you very much

I can fight for anything I want wherever I may be, and this thread is about Nigeria and not about America, least not last time I checked.

Nothing is wrong with you. I listen to non-vocal music too with the exception of the likes of Fela and Bob Marley and the like who have lyrics worth listening to.

In fact, something is wrong with a lot of rubbish lyrics in a lot of songs. They really should up their games some!

Lol
Joke is on you
I read everything and choose to ignore the ones i find of less interest.

Your lamentation of "pay us in the interest of your children" was what caught my attention.
And you obviously like making crap up to believe instead.

If you want you and your children to be educated by me you will have to get your government to pay me I'm afraid.

Government, of course, does not care about you because their children are being educated abroard where lecturers are so well taken care of that they do not need to strike, so I wonder who the joke is on.

pay what? Did you work?
Please read.

budaatum:
Its not your fault. If I had educated you well, you'd know already that those who do no work do not deserve to be paid. After all, I did not educate you to go and work for free, nor did I educate you to expect to be paid while you sit on your ass doing no work for the pay.

Anyway, it's not too late for free education, so open your eyes and read please. And ask questions if there's anything you do not understand.

Section 43 of the Trade Disputes Act, recognises the right of a worker to disengage from service where there is a breakdown in negotiation with his employer, also provides a corresponding right to the employer to withhold the employee’s wages for the said period. Judgements at the National Industrial Court also affirmed the principle of No-work-no pay.
