manuelkel:I respect you bothering to Seun, what happened to the follow button? I want to follow Manuelkel! |
StoryHaven:Very comfortable, and yes. Because I write them to influence minds, and not for my daily bread. In fact, they are like seeds. Some fall by the roadside and wither in the sun. Some fall on infertile minds and don't take root. And some fall on fertile minds and produce fruit a millionfold, and unlike the ten healed lepers, not one need come back to thank. People, listen to StoryHaven! Make money with you stories! |
Farmsolution:Not every one went to your school na or did science in a lab. And they might really think a snake in formaldehyde is something they should drink. In fact, I can see it right now. Father sent child to school. Child sees snake in preservatives in lab. Child comes home and puts snake in father's ogogoro to show what has been learnt. See their brain below.

manuelkel:Respectfully, no. I am not smart like seun, and deserve no credit for his wonderful work here which I only support by usage. I even offered to pay sub, but he very nicely ignores me except with his spambot. But seriously, do you need to insult me? Na you go really old sha! You go old sotey you will one day be like 50's + 10 and then 20 and be immensely blessed too. Amen.

Scholes007:On this! I don't understand how you can "understand your defunct dislike to anything USA". Defunct itself means, "no longer existing or functioning". So are you saying you understand my no longer existing or functioning dislike to anything USA because you now assume I like everything about USA? Please know and understand that there are things that I do still dislike about USA that are not defunct at all, and top of that list is dump, whom I so still dislike you'd note I don't even write his name. And there are many many things I do still like about USA like their elections every 4 years and my darling Denzel W. I'm explaining this to you because it bothers me a little that you would understand a dislike that is defunct according to you, and that never even existed in the first place, because it's like a lense through which you would read what I say that will distort your understanding. |
Scholes007:China do not need to be top superpower to influence your leadership neither. Canada's Carney and UK's Starmer just traveled there to be influenced. And I hear even USA's dump will be going there soon too. Those who elected those leaders however, did not go with their leadership to China, and they might not be so easily influenced, is what you are failing to consider. Think of it this way. Imagine Nigeria has a leader who is influenced by China but most Nigerians reason anti-China like you do than like I do, and then Nigeria has an election. Would my Chinese influenced leader be the leader of Nigeria, or your non-Chinese influenced leader? |
Elusive001:Don't you know how to Google?
|
anonimi:Tibet and Ughur land is arguably historically in China. Even if they regain Taiwan, they wouldn't be as bad as some who insist their neighbouring countries must do as they are told. |
Scholes007:You see that your "maybe"? You can't imagine how much it makes me respect you, because maybe not. China is growing. They currently manufacture more than about the next six top manufacturing countries combined. So, we may be about to find out if they will enforce their will or not. But personally, I want Nigeria to be the top world superpower, because I don't we will impose our will on any country. |

Streamz, you found Moltbook before me! What we doing with it? |
Kobojunkie:You remain here with your own specific kind of ignorance and arrogance! I am certain it is entertaining. 🥱🥱🥱 |
Kobojunkie:Isn't that exactly the point? So why do you pick verses in the Quran out of context without having a full understanding of the message contained in each book and think it might help you? |
Scholes007:Really? Ordinary make Nigeria a Muslim country and Nigerians are checking and balancing, so why wouldn't we check and balance China if they try to make you Chinese? I have full faith and trust in you checking and balancing China because this is not 1851 and because you are no mumu. |
fineboynl:So, they are not in charge so they are not doing that? That's good enough for me. Because by the time they are in charge, you'd likely have learnt from past experience of those who were in charge and did do that not to let China do it to you. Or would you like to argue that China can come to your shores and buy you and put you in chains and take you to their country and make you work for free in the future sometimes because you wouldn't have learnt anything to do to not let them? And China themself might have learnt from those who were in charge and did do that that it might not be the best and most profitable thing to do. |
Rapmoney:Neither do I. Nor do I see how a gold coloured drink would make one goldy even if it is believed it might. |
Kobojunkie:Read! And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Revelation 22:19 Now tell me if you would accept that as justification from anyone telling you they are obeying the commands listed here. Or is your argument that believers of the book the above quote is from are not compelled to do what is written in the book, or that Yahweh is not the ultimate role model for all followers of that book so its okay to ignore what is commanded? |
No, I've never drunk from a bottle with a snake in it and never will. I was once offered tequila in Mexico City though, and was told the gold in it would make me goldy, and I failed to convince the foøl offering it that the gold colouring was either caramel coloring, sugar-based syrup, or oak extract added to unaged silver tequila. What annoyed was being asked to pay above the odds for it, because it pretty much sounded like a babalawo asking for payment in advance for juju money instead of afterwards with the juju money. I doubt I could be convinced a drink with a snake in it would immunize one to snake bites, but if anyone wants to prove me wrong .......... |
Kobojunkie:If I correctly recall, did you not quote the Quran to claim Muslims use it to justify murder? Yet here you are claiming "2500 years later" without admitting stooping! |
yemiike:The thing is, yemike, you are not really helping yourself at all, I don't think. Just read what you wrote! "I get small shop where I sell recharge card and pure water". So, basically, you sat in one place in front of "recharge card and pure water" waiting for customer, when some would be on their feet to go to the customer to sell their own "recharge card and pure water" to them. Can you see how I might be stealing your sales without incurring your cost of a shop and area boys can't bother me because I don't stand still? I'm sorry to say, but I feel you need to hustle more, because there is this one book that many read that has written in it something about a curse of the sweat from ones brow, and I've found it's not a curse but the absolute irrefutable truth! And to be honest with you, you don't sound like you sweat at all but are asking heaven for manna while sitting in a shop staring at "recharge card and pure water" where area boys can see you. I can just hope you don't starve to death before the truth of starvation dawns on you.

Felicity0001:I read, and still say "what is this man saying". And thankfully you mentioned UK, so no one can accuse me of being the one comparing to a portion called England. You see, there used to be this feudal time in England when the Lord of where you lived said the land was his, and he took as tax a large portion of what you grew on the little patch he let you live on after you'd worked for him for tax on his very large land. When he fought wars he'd tax you for your sons whom you must kit in uniform and arms and his enemies might kill them. And you needed his permission when your daughters wanted to marry, and your daughter might have to spend the night before their wedding day in his castle as a form of tax payment. But don't ask me how that tax was paid. It was way before my time. My point is, tax was not paid in England because you received something fair in return, but demanded of you because powerful rulers put their filthy paws in your pocket and on your sons and in your daughters and took what they want without giving you anything fair back in return. Things didn't change much neither until eventually the people organised and rose up to fight for better rights and fairer taxation. So, vote! That's how we organise today to elect leaders with smaller filthy paws they put in your pocket to steal your money they call tax! Voting is also what empowers you to demand that whatever money they do steal from you as tax is spent where it benefits you most so you are happy paying it, because some tax, unfortunately, must be paid. And on that note, thank you very much for your thread because, well, tax!

Wealthyonos:People wouldn't understand your true talk. I was home once starving because I was broke. Na so I go this mama put I de go go beg am for chop. The mama look me, talk say, "na wetin chop you de chop. De talk like na one serious chop. Abeg, feed am", the mama told her girl, na so dem give me chop. Thing was, I'd been going there for lunch every day to eat one ₦50 pounded yam and ₦50 ogunfe, and she always looked at me like I was starving myself, moreso when I finished and would take my plate to the plate washer instead of leaving it on the table for them to come clear it. I'd tried two ₦50 ogunfe once, but the thing just too big for my belle. Besides, my cousin staying with me at the time would come home and cook and be offended if I did not eat. Next day, I went to mama and ordered my normal ₦50 pounded yam and ₦50 ogunfe and gave mama ₦500, say "please keep the change, thank you very much". And continued to do the same for the remaining four weeks till I returned home. And every time I went home for a while after that, I'd buy a gift from London for mama put who rejoiced like na she born me. Unfortunately, last time I went, she was no more under the powerline on Ago Palace Road because government cleared her away, and I sadly never did find where my mama put had moved to. |
kingsman66:Apart from your inability to write so you are understood, you are telling us you failed integrity test and stole bank money? Please, which bank hired you? I must check I don't bank there! |
Caaz:I do pidgin sometimes, just that I'm often too serious for my own good and proper English expresses it better. I really should chill, I think. |

Caaz:You ask for too little! ![]() He should pray the rice becomes a 50kg bag and the meat become a whole cow so we can all join you chop am! |
Actually, yes, I would prefer China as new world power over USA for the simple fact that China is not insisting that other nations adopt the Chinese political philosophy or religion like USA is doing. Wouldn't you? And if not, why? |
lawani:The argument presented by the op was based on % of GDP, but I do confess it is a complex topic with much nuance by individuals with various focuses. |
benalvino3:
|
lawani:The op specifically says As % of GDP, so that fact is not missed. In dollar terms however, you'd be correct. Total U.S. household debt reached a record high of $18.59 trillion in the third quarter of 2025, driven by increases in mortgage and credit card balances. Debt rose by $197 billion over the quarter, with mortgage debt ($13.07 trillion) comprising the largest share, followed by student loans ($1.65 trillion), auto loans ($1.66 trillion), and credit card debt ($1.23 trillion).Note that the figure for USA is only for the third quarter of 2025, while Switzerland's is a total for 2024, which shows the magnitude of difference. |
