motymop:Actually, HacheNoire and I are not arguing at all, since HacheNoire is the one that doesn't seem to know anything about consumer debt and household debt, and I try not to argue with those who know not of what they talk about. Saying that though, I have already made an error in this thread, and wouldn't be surprised if others do too. So, and on that note: Consumer debt refers to the outstanding balance of non-mortgage loans and credit utilized by individuals for personal, household, or family expenses, such as credit cards, auto loans, and student loans. Household debt refers to the total outstanding money owed by individuals in a household to financial institutions, including mortgages, credit cards, student loans, and personal loans. It represents the combined financial liabilities of all adults in a home, often categorized into secured property debt and unsecured consumer credit. The difference is subtle, but if you read my posts you'd note how the difference makes Switzerland the country with the highest household debt. Switzerland isn't necessarily the country with the highest consumer debt however, note. |
You are very welcome to believe your 'maths is racist'. It's par for your course, and no surprise. benalvino3: |
benalvino3:For your information, I do care. I'm also proud of the Iranians who are willing to shed their blood for their emancipation from their Ayatollah oppressors. They in fact remind me of the Ukrainians who are dying to save their country from despotic oppressive Russia, and the Alex Pretti(s) and the Renee Nicole Good(s) and the numerous others whom you would likely claim should submit to the stronger might of the despotic Ayatollah ICE of dump! |
benalvino3:Yes I can, but you obviously can not. So create a thread please so I know you are focused and not distracted. |
philoedu:I, buda, endorse the view expressed in this thread with the amendment that philosophy (love of wisdom, which is the systematic study of fundamental questions regarding existence, knowledge, ethics, reason, and reality) be taught from nursery school, or better still, as soon as a baby enters into this world if not from the moment the making of said baby is occurring. |
Perhaps Governor Adeleke should just change the law, because I don't see why a state should deprive itself of the knowledge a person may have acquired in their working life just because they are 60 years old. He can after all make this person a minister of civil service at any age. |
HacheNoire:Dude. Go to school please! It will profit you. |
Richtaiwo:Richtaiwo, you must please forgive my error in attributing your response to the wrong person. On reading it back slowly this time, you are very correct in claiming HacheNoire, whom you rightly responded to, "made a claim with zero evidence", and I am humbly sorry for the error I made in misreading your response as if it were to the op. I'm highlighting this in bold red so my error is more visible.
|
HacheNoire:Sorry HacheNoire, but I don't have to educate you by explaining anything to you, especially since in reality you just want to argue what you have no clue whatsoever about. If you want to learn though, you can Google it yourself at your own expense, but it's no skin off my nose whether you do or not. That said, and because I feel the need to be generous and kind, and selfishly need intelligent people to discuss with, perhaps start with the below and then do some more learning.
|
Richtaiwo:I think googi backed his claim up with evidence that you have failed to investigate yourself, and are instead trying to make out googi presented a personal opinion, which anyone who can read know he hasn't! What's amusing is that you then want your own factless unbacked opinion to supercede his "commonly established and properly backed up" facts, which is rather amusing. This post is an egg on my face error. See the retraction below please. https://www.nairaland.com/8610291/household-debt-countries#138330225 |
HacheNoire:Can you see how googi intelligently provided statistics anyone can go investigate and check for themselves!? Your statement, however, has no supporting evidence whatsoever, so what do you think it says about your obvious lack of comprehension?
|
benalvino3:I did know this. Biden, the USA president, and dump, the USA president, were both heavily involved in the Palestine and Israel conflict, so it became a subject of noise in this thread, as will noise of Iran if TACO dump bombs Iran. At this moment in time, however, we are concentrating on the pdfliar noise that dump seems to be heavily involved in. We will do noise of Iran in this thread when we are certain dump is not trying to use Iran as his noise of distraction from his pǔssy grabbing, of underage girls, it is seeming like. But you are very welcome to create a thread about noise of Iran and invite me to it if you can not wait till then. |
benalvino3:The Iranians are fighting for their emancipation with their blood and their lives, and we support them in that. This, however, is the American Politics Thread, which does include the atrocity of the US bombing Palestinians. So perhaps try to focus, or not. Your choice. You are of course very welcome to create a thread for Iran and invite me to discuss it with you, but your record here makes me feel you'd only be talking a lot of gíbberish since I doubt you know much about Iran. Don't let that stop you though. Please give it a go so we can see how your mind works the Iranian emancipation.

Imam Khomeini decisively rejected the notion that religion was incompatible with modern governance.Despite him cloaking words in clothes they are not wearing, the above is saying, using your own brain is incompatible with just accepting what you are told to believe. He is going much further of course, by ordering that leaders should be obeyed, implying the leaders' brain use is inspired by their God and yours isn't. Oddly, it is Biblical too, which I'll explain below, though note that the Bible also has the contradiction written in it that the Holy Spirit will be sent to others too than just the supposed leaders. Adam was told to not even consider having a brain not to talk of using it, because on the day that he does he will surely die. Pesky use her own brain Eve was having none if it though, and used her own senses (they tell you its a serpent, lol) to test if she would truly die, only to find that the fruit of knowledge that was meant to kill her was good for food and for gaining wisdom, and that the supposed "death" meant she would become self employed, as opposed to being a naked ignorant slave, and she and Adam, we read, went on to live a 1000 years and populate the entire earth. I am so pleased that many Iranians themselves are ignoring these Ayatollahs, and are plucking knowledge fruits to eat so they can free themselves from their allegorical Eden! benalvino3:Keep trying to tell us what we should word about. You are after all our controller, and it's not like you are trying to deflect.
|
Eniitankorede:Just as much as Shakespeare was inspired, or Mohammed or J. K. Rowling, if you really want to know my opinion. Paul was inspired by a lot of Greek philosophy, and he wrote it into his work. He was a product of not eating only bread.
|
Eniitankorede:Women could not read. They were not even allowed to go to school. They go to school now, and you can no more use a book written by men to hold women down and oppress them. |
Luckysbab:Someone informs me that "The distance between insanity and genius is only measured by success", and from where I'm looking, women have been very successful geniuses, and even insane at times, at removing themselves from the bondage and tyranny of men for centuries so far, and I expect that success to increase as time goes by. But I agree with you that the results will continue to be out for us to witness, and I pray you live a very long life to witness it in its semi-fullness. Because that success is bound to continue long after I am gone and longer still till you follow me and much longer after we both are gone, since neither of us can possibly stop or turn back the clock of progress. |
seunmsg:I am an Obidient from the same state as Tinubu, and I want you to know how impressed I am with the work being done here, and moreso with your very intelligent and wise response to Kukutente23. As the Chinese say, "it don't matter if the cat is black (APC) or white (Obi) so long as it catches the mice, and mice (a good project) are definitely being caught here! |
Farrason:You are very free and welcome to understand or believe whatever it is you want to understand or believe because you do not in any way need to justify yourself to me and nor do I need your attention. I am amused that my opinion and point of view seems to matter and p¹ss you off so much though, and I suggest you ask yourself why for your own health and sanity. Till we engage again, you live healthy and prosper. |
musicwriter:I'd actually argue that you are very wrong in this your strong culture thing, though its true that we don't have a strong culture that oppresses women and chops off their heads if they don't submit to men. What's actually happened to us is we have become educated and more enlightened, so women can not be so easily exploited like those "Arabs, Indians, even for other African countries" might be exploiting there's. Even UK exploited their women till education set their women free. |
olabrad:Sorry olabrad, but you really have to work a bit harder if you want to communicate with me. How is my understanding of a strong woman irrational to you for instance? And which of my very numerous comments negates what exactly?
|
Peterlove11:Sorry, but this is not true. My husband and I are equal heads in my family, and he is intelligent and smart enough to know and respect that fact, as am I. He does not make family decisions without consulting me, and neither do I make family decisions without consulting him. We even consult our children too, out of respect for them, and because we want them to learn to do the same when they get their own families. But do know that there is absolutely no reason why you must do what I do in my family, because it is not compulsory that you have the same goals that I have for my family. |
Peterlove11:This proposed law is not for the protection of women only Peter. It applies to women too who can no more use lack of sexual relations as an argument in fault-based divorce. As for rolls and duties in a family, that is for each family to determine, though I don't suppose they can change the fact that the man can not be the pregnant one. But everything else is negotiable, including who pays the rent and puts the food on the family table. |
|
Dtruthspeaker:Maybe they might listen to you if you tell them, dt. |
Peterlove11:Yes it will, and this French law is evidence it is. It used to be that women could not inherit property, get degrees, open bank accounts, vote, or even accuse men of rape, but look out your window and see how women's rights have been redefined today. We are not going back to those archaic days of women exploitation just as we likely will never go back to the world order when black people were some people's slaves. |
Peterlove11:You need to understand that what you might do with your own wife's head is not necessarily what every man must do with their own wife's head, nor is it what every wife will allow their husband to do with their head. Some men go to their village to marry a submissive woman that they can control, while some men marry educated powerful women with whom they share responsibilities. Each to their own, is what you must understand, with consequences if you go too far with your headshipness, which I'm willing to bet even you would head, I hope. |
emabe:The Birkot ha-Shachar (Morning Blessings) found in traditional Jewish daily prayer thanked God for not being made a gentile, a slave (or "boor" in older texts), and a woman. Woman was last because they thought it was better for them to be a Gentile or a slave than a woman. Then they evolved and elected "Iron Lady" Golda Meir as fourth Prime Minister of Israel, who held office from 1969 to 1974, which shows even they can evolve. |
Peterlove11:No it isn't. Men wrote that in your Bible and you believe it, and humans in France at least, are saying men are not the head of their wife. So, deal with it or don't go to France where your supposed "infallible truth" is not true, or go there and treat your wife like you are her head and see what truth happens to you. |
teemy:I don't agree that we live in a world where a person can just wake up one morning and suddenly become an unhappy partner who lies that you räped them and the law will just accept you did without any evidence. And if you do happen to have such a partner who is unhappy, then sex with that person should be the last thing on your mind, and rǎping her definitely shouldn't be on your mind. Sex between a loving couple, you don't seem to understand, is an extension of communication, where you express your love for and to each other. So, if your partner is unhappy, perhaps first communicate verbally to resolve the happiness, because the love making is much better when you are both happy with one another. |
Kukutente23:Sêun has decided you shouldn't see my response to you insulting my father to spare you or something. https://www.nairaland.com/8511650/nairalands-bot-out-control/8#138320724 The link you can't see is added below to remind you when we used to be very much in love. https://www.nairaland.com/8609468/france-moves-abolish-concept-marital/1#138313642 |
