Most done seem to understand that Nigeria is a poor mismanaged country. But I guess we will understand how poor we are when our salaries stop being paid because we can't borrow anymore. |
KnownUnknown:He obviously doesn't care that we would use our senses to engage with what he presents and wants us to believe him like he believes those who told him what he's expressing. Now, if he understood that we are subjects with our own subjective minds perhaps he'd refrain from presenting his own subjective understandings and expressions as if they were objective as in not subjective to himself. |
triplechoice:Please stop with your sort of thinking and use your senses to properly engage with what has been presented before you. Even you must see how wrong what you thought is. |
triplechoice:Have you heard of confirmation bias? Its like glasses one wears that distorts what one is looking at and might have influenced you "before reading". I mean, see how many times you've misinterpreted what I've written. There are far too many faults in your perspective, triple, that they jump out at one without one looking, but of course you would not accept that perhaps because your own "the knowledge from my own personally experience" is the only knowledge and experience that can possibly be had and anyone else's "knowledge from my own personally experience" is not worth your time or consideration especially if it contradicts your own "knowledge from my own personally experience". |
triplechoice:Don't you think this applies to your very self? Where have you shown any interest in anyone's views or sought to understand anyone's perspective? Is it not true that you are hell bent on promoting your own perspective which you've admitted is not really your own perspective and which you never checked before adopting? You will grow, Triple. |
triplechoice:One has to check with you, I mean, if a daughter can tell you she's a man, why not this too? Not all dreams represent something, triple, or we at least never know what they might represent. Sometimes dreams are just dreams. And do know you are talking to a person who has had solutions to maths and engineering and chess problems appear in dreams and lots of other stuff too. |
triplechoice:No I never! Or you at least never responded when I asked you what you'd say if your daughter dreamt she was a man, but I will question you now? When she was 8, my daughter told me about one of her dreams. She was in a spaceship with some animals. Although she knew she was in a spaceship in her dream, when telling me about the dream, she realized the spaceship was actually a washing machine. At times, she and the animals would be out in space, but they also came back to earth. She told me the dream with a laugh and then moved on with her day, ignoring the crazy animals and spaceships that entertained her in her sleep.Do you believe the authors daughter and the animals were in a spaceship that she realised was a washing machine, triple? |
triplechoice:Of course it is my choice not to follow triple who is just following what he was told and believes without bothering to check it's veracity. I am Eve, triple, not Adam!
|
ono:So, Biden is not going to Saudi to beg for more oil? |
basilico:You can't run automobiles on crude oil which US has in abundance but lacks the capacity to refine. https://www.reuters.com/markets/commodities/global-refiners-falter-efforts-keep-up-with-demand-2022-05-31/
|
triplechoice:What are the "methods we have used to prove them true", triple. I'd like to see how you went about it please so I can check if they are true with my own senses. |
triplechoice:Demonstrate for myself as opposed to just accepting what triple says, you mean? Yes, I have heard it several times and I expect to hear it from you someday. Have you not just described what buda and others have been doing all along with you who "used to think" how you think now but would think better when you use your senses to consider the responses you are getting? But no. Triple expects us to follow the leads of triple as if we were all born tomorrow and have no experiences or knowledge or leads we have followed to where we are today. |
triplechoice:I can see now why you are discouraged, triple. You are pastoring to us expecting we'd believe you but your pastoring is hitting against the use of our minds. These are not your own knowledge gathered with your own senses, but you'd like us to follow your lead anyway! Do we sound like mindless mumus to you or something, and don't you think you should rigorously check your knowledge before presenting it to us? You got work to do dude, with your senses. |
triplechoice:Are you going to suggest that you have not provided a reason for your comments? Please, what is the reason for your comments? One thing I do know about triple from triple's comments is that triple is willing to believe hearsay and claims without bothering to certify their veracity and would like buda who would rather certify claims with her own senses to believe triple's comments. I am critiquing your art of believing what you've been told without bothering to check for yourself with your own senses! |
triplechoice:No triple, your phone does not represent anything. It is your phone and I was not representing your phone with anything but the phone it actually is. Now, start again with my simple experiment. Leave your phone and your senses in the living room and tell me if one of them follows you into your bathroom and which one and why. |
He is much younger than the other candidates and it's about time we have a president who isn't part of the old guard. And do note that "social media" is not being very successfully in herding anyone to follow Obi, yet, and it might be more logical to assume it is Atiku and Tinubu who is being blindly followed. |
benalvino3:You too can revert back a page or two to know the answer to this you are asking. No? |
benalvino3:You asked me a question. Is that after you answered the question I asked you or before you answered the question I asked you? budaatum:State each country per litre and gallons in dollars please. |
triplechoice:The consciousness that you are. Now, imagine me arguing that the consciousness that you are is not the consciousness that you are or that the consciousness that you are is not the consciousness that I buda is. Would you not be correct in labelling that buda stupid? I would. And I will take that buda to the bottom of the river and bash its ignorant head against a rock and drown it too while I am at it. But that's just my consciousness talking I guess, or my unconsciousness, take your pick. |
triplechoice:It is not impossible that I may have some million pounds I may claim to have in my pocket but I am absolutely certain you will require demonstration of the million pounds in my pocket before you sell me anything for it, Triple. Most will, at least, and they'd count it too. Wouldn't you? And its's not because you "think it's not possible" that I might have the million pounds I may claim I have in my pocket but just that you are savvy, I'd think, and would rather confirm with your own senses. No? I am not dismissing anything because "we think it is not possible", I am just not accepting it just because you say so. I need more evidence, than your say so. Basically show me the money and let me count it for myself instead of asking buda who does not believe almost anything to park her buda senses and just believe triple. triplechoice:You don't say. I'm certain we agreed this already. Did I not mention the limit of the knowledge I have of my home town and my state not to talk of my country Nigeria? But note how you mention that one can extend the limits of ones human mind by learning and experiencing. One of those learnings is science, triple, the rigorous training to use one's own senses instead of believing what one has no evidence for. triplechoice:I didn't let you triple, or the limitations of your mind didn't? I'm calling bicycle! One gets up and rides again when one falls. |
Ben, you are a waste of time. US is a net exporter of energy. Tons of dollars are made on export of gas alone! https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=pet&s=mttntus2&f=m |
triplechoice:Would you like to argue that these unverified claims are true or are you asking me to just accept that they are true which I'm finding rather impossible to, because, if, triple, pigs will fly too. |
triplechoice:No, I don't know about these experiments, and likely never will unless you mean hearing it reported somewhere where I have insufficient data to hammer. I'd love to see what they presented for the review of their peers. Do you know about it? |
triplechoice:Taken form from what? triplechoice:Science does not let you know anything, triple. It is not some god or superbeing somewhere but simply a tool some use to ask and knock and seek to know what matter may contain. If matter were a nail, science would like be a hammer. Though the analogy is imperfect since the science is used to analyse while the hammer is used to hammer. |
triplechoice:I don't think so! Your phone is inanimate and has not got any consciousness whatsoever and neither has an inanimate stone! My LordReed, please point out to me where you "brought in machine consciousness". |
triplechoice:No one is saying an analogy should be perfect! Fact remains that a phone is not a part of one as one's senses are. You can't go into your bathroom without your senses. triplechoice:I wish you would not forget this. The limitations are not your's alone, both in expressing and in understanding. We must however do the best we can to express and understand. triplechoice:And probably misinterpret it worse than a science student might. triplechoice:So you are like me then. Do you think we deserve a pat on the back for doing research with our senses own or is that what is required of us? triplechoice:[/quote]Are you perhaps too quick to judge that one is judging? triplechoice:No one is asking you to rely on anything about your consciousness, triple. It is your consciousness, it is subjective to you alone. It is not objectively observable to us, and only ignorantly can we be telling you anything about your consciousness. We are talking about consciousness in general, triple, and not the consciousness of triple, and there's no harm considering the opinion of those who may have spent a lot more time on consciousness than us such that they may seem like science students compared to us non-science students, as far as this topic goes. triplechoice:I'm glad you say so. Thankfully, no scientist is telling me to rely on any template of what it is to be human, and if they were I'd likely not listen since I prefer to use my own senses to decide my own humaness. triplechoice:Sorry triple, but I am buda, and not a "lot of people these days are getting confused", and if I stubbornly insist on "relying on the template of science alone", which thankfully I'm far too able to not do, then I am a fool and I do not think I would live very long for it is far better for me to use my own senses to do my own science than to rely on the science done by another with their own senses. Contradictions in this post are intended. Mind use is required. |
benalvino3:Do I need to say that you should educate yourself to reduce your ignorance? NBC News is reporting that the U.S. intends to ban imports of Russian oil today. That has caused another jump in already surging oil prices, but for many Americans the most surprising thing about this is that America imports Russian oil at all, let alone so much that it accounts for around eight percent of total U.S. oil usage. I mean, haven’t we been told repeatedly over the last five years or so how great it is that the U.S. has become energy independent? |
benalvino3:Which country has cheaper petrol between UK and USA, ben? Meanwhile: Rising petrol prices have led to an increase in fuel thefts from petrol station forecourts, according to new figures from industry experts. |
Reality3080:Abid2020 I must ask again. Would curing myself of regionalism and tribalism and I now add, religionism, be of any good or benefit to me and for my country Nigeria? |
Abid2020:As in those of us in other parts of Nigeria will not consider Obi because we are blinded by regionalism or tribe? I wonder if something should or can be done about that. Would curing myself of regionalism and tribalism help, Abid, and would it benefit me to cure myself? |
benalvino3: Why is petrol so expensive?
|
chic2pimp:It is always "in my opinion" since I don't expect my feelings to count, and I doubt I've ever argued about Hamilton's most incredible achievements. |
