Maynman:
You are quoting what you don’t know from the Bible? Who are the gods you are quoting?
I am not quoting any gods, Maynman.

I am merely quoting from a book which I must know something about, obviously, or I wouldn't know what's written in it.
Christianity Etc › Re: Socrates Meets Jesus by budaatum: 8:33pm On Mar 13, 2022
Maynman:
Why are you intentionally lying and being mischievous?
Who said this budaatum ? I know your history here..
I’m a fellow god like your buddha, and I’m striving to be a better god than him
Are you reading my "why not" as "you must", perhaps?

If so, you mustn't, because, if you do you will become gullible who give his life and money away!

budaatum:
I beg your pardon, but are you sure that the buda who does not believe what buda is told, said you should "believe whatever we are told"?

You are aware that it is written in the book being discussed here that ignorance, which is what causes gullibility, is what kills, right? So why would I want you to be gullible and ignorant and dead?

Please note that buda was not telling you what to do, and was merely humbly asking why you do what you do, which is, "investigating it or examining it". For I have found that to be what makes people not gullible, but wise and undead, and I am merely asking why you choose to live as opposed to be gullible and ignorant and dead.

I apologise for your misunderstanding.
Christianity Etc › Re: Socrates Meets Jesus by budaatum: 8:28pm On Mar 13, 2022
Maynman:
Which gods were you talking about here? Which “book” were you quoting?
I am not talking about any particular god, Mayn. And I am quoting from the Bible, and from you.

"Investigate and research", is what some understand from "ask and knock and seek with all your heart and soul and mind and being", and not for any God, but for an understanding of what many refer to as God.

Or is buda lying, Mayn? You even claimed "not to know", which is what is written Jesus also advised when he said "abandon all the crap your head might have been filled with and become as a curious child".

Children research, as in, they ask and knock and seek with all their existence, I find, until we kill the curiousity in them.

Maynman:
Why are you intentionally lying and being mischievous?
Who said this budaatum ? I know your history here..

You obviously know nothing about buda's history, Mayn, and are making it up in your head as you go along, because, if you did know anything about buda's history you would not have accused buda of having a god or a religion, nor would you make wrongful claims like "like your buddha".

I blame you not however. I'm certain you have had no reason to investigate and research buda, and once you have spent the time investigating and researching buda, (if buda is worth the effort, that is), you'd, .... Well, I guess I should wait and see instead of making up crap in my own head about you.
Christianity Etc › Re: Socrates Meets Jesus by budaatum: 8:13pm On Mar 13, 2022
Maynman:
The one you quoted from “a book” religiously, which one did you quote?
I hate unnecessary adjectives. They show with what their users blind themselves, and I saw you'd given a definition of religio too, so what do you mean by, "religiously"?
Christianity Etc › Re: Socrates Meets Jesus by budaatum: 8:10pm On Mar 13, 2022
Maynman:
Why are you lying? Budaatum?
Who said this?
Must that which you do not understand be lying, Mayn?

Should one not do research with all one's senses if one really wants to know?

If not, can you explain to me why you did not just read the book, but also delved deep into its origin?

And tell me if those you are arguing with here would not be better informed if they had investigated and researched instead of just believing as they do as if no one told them they'd tremble.

Christianity Etc › Re: Socrates Meets Jesus by budaatum: 8:04pm On Mar 13, 2022
Maynman:
Are you talking about the evil isreal gods?
Which of the Israel gods, Mayman? They are not all evil.

Still, whatever god one may have, I find it wise to strive to be at least as good as, if not better than one's god, for they do serve as teachers of that which is right and proper to be done or not done.
Christianity Etc › Re: Socrates Meets Jesus by budaatum: 7:59pm On Mar 13, 2022
Maynman:
Was it buda that said this?
I think you need to ask what buda meant because you do not seem to comprehend it.

Research, I'd say, is better done with all of one's senses, and is meant in "ask and knock and seek with all your heart and soul and mind and being" and everywhere possible too. Hearts and souls and minds, were after all, senses to the people of the time that I quote.

I mean, if I don't investigate and research with all my own senses, I might conclude that buda (me, that is), has a god just because some gullible non-investigating non-researching ignorant person told me so.

Maynman:
I’m striving to be a better god than him, wish me luck.
I do wish you luck, though I feel you don't need it, for it is the wise that know one must strive to be more perfect than one's gods, and being wise is far superior to luck.

See. It's even written in a book.

I think you can answer this yourself now.

Was buda humbly asking or not, Mayn?

Maynman:
I’m a fellow god like your buddha, although I’m striving to be a better god than him, wish me luck.
I am not a god, nor was Buddha, but your wrong assumption is forgiven.

Do note that while you were making your wrong assumption about buda based on you believing what you may have read about buda somewhere, those you were arguing with were likely seeing buda supporting you for investigating and researching instead of being a stupid ignorant believing Adam like some choose to be.
Christianity Etc › Re: Socrates Meets Jesus by budaatum: 7:35pm On Mar 13, 2022
Maynman:
Are you not humbly asking asking again?
Who did you say was doing the research? Body, soul and spirit right?
You are a mischief maker. I wonder what your religion says about them cheesy
Yes, I am a mischief maker. Put me in the Garden of Eden and I'd perform so much mischief that the only tree left standing will be the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. Eat that!

Mayn, it is your writing that I read that brought me to conclude that you must have done some research instead of gullibly believing what you were told, and I doubt your "Body, soul and spirit" could have done any research unless you ordered and directed them to. Am I wrong?

As to what your "religion says about them". Mind informing buda what you have found through your research and investigations what exactly buda's religion is please?

Who was doing the research here? My body? Soul and spirit right? Budaatum?
I shall presume the entirety of Maynman is doing the research with all of Mayman's senses.

You'd note the addition of your being too. I wouldn't want to leave any of your senses out nor disregard the time you've spent researching.

Who did you say was investigating and examining here?
I assume you investigate and examine, and I see evidence of it in your posts.

You have unfortunately not investigated and examined buda though.

Not that you should have investigated and examined buda, for who is buda, except that you've jumped to wrong conclusions about buda because you did not investigate and examine buda.

Maynman:
Why did you now use it here? I’ve googled your thread and I know how you twist your ways, humbly asking indeed, liar!
You have not examined and investigated buda one tiny bit, Maynman. You just googled and jumped to a conclusion.

If you had bothered to examine and investigate, you'd know buda rejoices at those who refuse to be ignorant and gullible and enslaved like Adam.
Christianity Etc › Re: Socrates Meets Jesus by budaatum: 7:02pm On Mar 13, 2022
Maynman:
Yeah it’s buda of course. I told myself because I am God..
An Arabic worshipper talking about “investigation and examining”
You lied that you were humbly looking for answers, shows the kind of god you serve
Maynman, now this does not show that you have investigated and examined! In fact, it kind of shows you've just believed what you have been told!

I mean, where the heck did you get the idea that buda is "An Arabic worshipper" or that buda "serves god"? Surely not by your own investigating and examining, surely not!
Christianity Etc › Re: Socrates Meets Jesus by budaatum: 6:58pm On Mar 13, 2022
Maynman:
Are you referring to buda as my soul, spirit and body? If yes then he told me. And I thought you were humbly asking
Lol, Mayn. buda is just short for budaatum, so how can I be the soul, spirit and body of Maynman?

I am humbly asking. And I do appreciate the response which I hope I accurately summarised.

budaatum:
The short version is, I love your answer, which is:

"Because I know nothing", I "investigating it or examining it" in order not to be "meek and gullible fool to be led whither I am told by empty promises and threats".
Christianity Etc › Re: Socrates Meets Jesus by budaatum: 6:52pm On Mar 13, 2022
Maynman:
You started with this? Why are you changing it?
That's buda for you, Mayn assuming you put a lot of effort into "investigating it or examining it".

That's what we read Eve did, by the way, "investigating it or examining it" if on the day she eats of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, she would surely die, only to find out she did not die, but instead her eyes opened and she gained wisdom and freed that stupid ignorant gullible believing afraid to die Adam from naked slavery so they could go on to populate the entire earth, so it is written.
Christianity Etc › Re: Socrates Meets Jesus by budaatum: 6:45pm On Mar 13, 2022
Maynman:
You started with this, why did you suddenly change it to “buda”, are you sure you are humbly asking?
I did not change anything to buda, Maynman, well, except for shortening budaatum that is, just as I'd likely shorten Maynman to Mayn, eventually, but what I am sure of is irrelevant Maynman. You will "investigating it or examining it" and know if buda was humbly asking.
Christianity Etc › Re: Socrates Meets Jesus by budaatum: 6:40pm On Mar 13, 2022
Maynman:
Because I know nothing.

And there is no buda. It’s thief. If I did this, I should give my purse to every man on the street who promised to return it to me a thousandfold. I would be a fool to do as you say. And here you are not asking me to give mere money, but to dedicate the whole of my life to one undertaking and one purpose without ever considering the value of the undertaking. A thief demands my money by threatening my life. You demand my life by threatening me with torture and promising me paradise. I am not a meek and gullible fool to be led whither I am told by empty promises and threats.
First, is there no Maynman, Maynman? If there is, how can there be no buda?

I note your "you", but I shall assume you don't mean me, since I am not threatening you - or shall I say, I hope you are not threatened by me - nor am I demanding anything of you, Maynman, and nor have I a paradise to promise you if you decide to be gullible and stop "investigating it or examining it".

Actually, I don't have a paradise to promise you even if you continue "investigating it or examining it", though I am delighted at the reduction in the gullibles who think what they believe is everything there is to know, and therefore need not "investigating it or examining it" as in, ask and knock and seek, as it is written that they ought to.

The short version is, I love your answer, which is:

"Because I know nothing", I "investigating it or examining it" in order not to be "meek and gullible fool to be led whither I am told by empty promises and threats".

Sorry ben, but I don't see the point of playing up who played down what In this case. Smollett committed a crime he will regret and be paying for all his life, and while I feel for his ruin, he brought it on himself. That however has no bearing on the thousands of racial incidents occuring regularly in America to people who did not bring it on themselves and that are not hoaxes, Ben.

Like almost all arguments that are presented in dialogue form, the one here isn't very good. As these things almost always fall prey to, the "opposing person" (in this case Jesus) in the dialogue is given bad arguments or made to say dumb things so that the writer can more easily refute them through their mouthpiece (in this case Socrates), a process called strawmanning. A decent number of the things that it has Jesus say are not said or even implied in the Bible anyway.

But one thing I wanted to note that people should be aware of is who actually wrote that whole "Socrates Meets Jesus" article that was posted. Although it says "by Prometheus" at the start, at the end it clarifies it was written by "James L. Hart". But who was he? He was a guy who ran for the US congress quite a while ago (he managed to get the Republican nomination because the district he ran in was so inclined towards the Democrats no one else bothered to try to run for the Republicans--the Republicans very quickly disavowed his campaign, and never let him run as a Republican again). Let's take a look at an archive of his old website:
https://web.archive.org/web/20040806021801/http://www.jameshartforcongress.com/
And yes, you'll see a link to the "Socrates Meets Jesus" right on that page, confirming that the author of the work is the same James L. Hart.

So who was this James L. Hart guy whose writing is being promoted? What policy ideas did he have? Here's an excerpt from his site (bolding added):

Our cities are being destroyed by dysgenic welfare and immigration. Why does Detroit look like it was hit by a nuclear bomb and Hiroshima look like it was on the side that won the war? Everyone knows the answer but is afraid to say. Because genes have a more devastating effect on civilization than nuclear bombs, and the reason for Detroit's decline is that there are less 'favored races' in Detroit with an average IQ of 85 and more 'favored races' in Japan with an average IQ of 104. (It is noted there are less 'favored races'* in Africa south of the Sahara with an average IQ of 70-75, which accounts for the extreme poverty there.) Richard Lynn's book, 'IQ and the Wealth of Nations' has clearly shown that the prosperity of a nation is determined in large measure by the average IQ of the population. The poverty genes of less 'favored races'*, which are spread by welfare and immigration, are destroying our cities no less than if they were hit by a nuclear bomb. Massive uncontrolled and illegal immigration portends not just the destruction of a few cities but of our whole civilization itself. If we had integrated with less 'favored races'* centuries ago, there would have never been an electric light. There would never have been an airplane. Unless we stop dysgenic welfare and immigration policies, the US will look like one big Detroit.

So as we can see, he's quite clearly asserting that blacks are a "less favored race" than white people, that poverty in Africa is the result of it having "less favored races" than whites, and goes so far as to assert that it's only because whites didn't integrate with those "less favored races" that things like light bulbs or airplanes were invented.

While I doubt the original poster was aware of this information about James L. Hart, it still is amusing to see them promoting on an African message board the writings of someone who made the above statements.
Thanks for this.

Diss, CRT also has to consider a 'gender perspective' in its own right, and an education perspective, and a finance perspective, and incarceration perspective, family perspective, all in their own right and without racial input or prejudice. It must be done for comparative studies, and to have evidence of your racial claim and for respect by your peers for not doing shoddy research. Or can you not hear those on your side accusing those you claim "Insist that everything the black person faces, or deals with or has to do has to be viewed through a racial in decking", of being ignorant and institutionally racists themselves?

If CRT insists on what you say it does no one would give it the light of day because we are far too advanced and smart for "I'm broke because I'm black", and no one is really selling "you are broke because you are black", despite your rhetoric that they are, and even if they are selling it, then I'm sorry to say that the fool who buys it deserves it.
