gregyboy:I wonder if it's really worth it. I mean, now that I am not planting yam my people have nothing to steal. And what I do plant is unstealable since its so valuable that I can afford to plant it inside a room and hire security for it. |
benalvino3:How can anyone be untouchable when some cretins are not being vaccinated and are refusing to wear mask and even claim covid doesn't exist while going about infecting others? Did you miss numerous people saying here how they are vaccinated and still wear mask? Have you been vaccinated Ben? Are you staying safe? |
Collinsanele:All these ideas you mention, including a reduction in dying, were bought with tax! Read below how a certain country taxed the windows in homes! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Window_tax#%3A%7E%3Atext%3DWindow_tax_was_a_property%2Cof_windows_in_a_house.%26text%3DTo_avoid_the_tax%2C_some%2C155_years_later%2C_in_1851.?wprov=sfla1 |
benalvino3:Are you well at all? You think I lie like you do? https://www.nairaland.com/6462422/just-took-astrazeneca-covid19-vaccine/1#100021907 https://www.nairaland.com/6462422/just-took-astrazeneca-covid19-vaccine/1#102026444 And by the way I'm still on lock down in my house since I am vulnerable due to health. |

Oh you very lowly poor second creations who are of the stupid ignorant Adam type and not even that of use her senses Eves not to talk of the images of God that thou were equally created, both male and female, to Be fruitful, and increase in number; to fill the earth and subdue it, to rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground. Unfortunately that is far too much for you who settle to be slaves in the Garden of Eden tending the fruit of a tree that is forbidden to you. The day will come, I well assure you, when you will indeed eat of the fruit you are forbidden, and you will surely not die on the eay that you eat just as Adam and Eve did not die on the day that they ate, but your eyes will open and you will be endowed with the wisdom that would enable you to fulfil your mission on earth instead of squabbling over which of you is the greater slave in a poxy tiny garden! In the name of Jesus Christ the opener of eyes and the Messiah of all humankind do I, buda, pray.
|
nonhuman:Yes you indeed very can. One just need find a real decent proper respectful man and avoid all the pigs.
|
Fahdiga:Aba! Why will I buy from you what I have in abundance roaming around on my own farm already? |
khia:Everyone only gives their own personal opinion, khia, even, nay, moreso those who claim to speak for the Gods, and fools are they who believe them. So make sure you use your own eyes to see and your own mind to reason instead of stupidly believing what you are told by others, for they are no more holy than thou art. Kindly do not endeavour to tell buda what buda may or may not do, as you are in no way the God of buda who gets to command buda. For even buda's God is wise enough to not dare be so daring as to assume command of buda! As for your interests, I would trust you to determine what they are, just as I trust myself to determine mine. |
gregyboy:Im de do trial run, or my money back if e no work? |
Fahdiga:Maybe no be this same one plenty for village because even on google shopping e no reach that amount, though the price wey I see fit make me start stag beetle farm!
|
gregyboy:I tell you, even cocoa we no de plant anymore. All my people are migrating to Edo State because Edoans apparently don't steal like we do! And then somebody will be telling me to be angry at Fulani when its my own family people stealing my yam. Abeg, send me some Benin ayelala, our own no too de work anymore! |
benalvino3:Well, I'm very certain you don't expect me to support the lack of understanding that makes you infer that a book about maths instructors being racist means math is racist, or do you? If I support such an ignorant inference, I think I'd have to pay back all my past schoolfees, and believe me, it would be quite a lot to have to pay back to deignorantise myself, if that would be at all possible! |
The motive of the nurse, who has not been not named, was not clear - but she had aired sceptical views about vaccines in social media posts, police investigators said. Before opening this I prayed, God please do not let it be in Nigeria, thank God. You'd think they were charging this evil nurse for everyone's vaccine! |
History555:I live in a village surrounded by firewood, and not only is it not cheap, its very inefficient too, and I don't think gas will hit 10k anytime soon. But hey, you go cook with firewood and charcoal. Me, I like my shiny stainless steel pots to remain shiny. |
Reminds me when we too in the Orolu Kingdom used to celebrate yam festival. People will dig up 3 year old yam so big that you'd be proud to pay for a wife in yam. These days no one plants yam anymore because as soon as it is 9 months old, some thief will come and harvest it for you, or rather for themselves, in the middle of the night whilst you slept and you'd end up eating worthless gari! |
They ate the fruits of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and have learnt how to “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground", and we can not now exactly argue that God has not blessed them. It gives me hope for Nigeria, that when we too realise that we will not surely die on the day that we decide to eat the fruits of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but instead we shall gain wisdom, and our eyes will open and we too will become richly blessed like Israel. |
Image123:I swear, that khia will make me burn in hell for getting furiously angry! I must consider fast and pray for her. Imagine someone telling me they will almanjerise their own child because they love said child and expect me not to use them as an example! Don't we have enough almanjeris for parents not to be adding to the pool of the ignorants? |
Nauttyprof:I guess you are not recognising that we are a democracy now. You must have heard it means "government for the people by the people", after all, its not as if the current government just arrived from outerspace and imposed itself on us. In fact did Buhari not beg us 3 times to let him lead us before we agreed on his third beg? Atiku is going to beg us to let him lead us at the next election, him or Mr Bullion van, and if we are unfortunate we will agree to let one of them rule us knowing one will sell NNPC to - well, let me let you tell me who - while the other, bullion vans I guess. Then, might we understand that we are the one's in charge of our government and we are responsible for our wailing, because I am sufficiently informed that we are not yet ready to take the responsibility that our democracy has placed in our hands!
|
nedugroup:Futuristic, lol. Go about on Nairaland and see us presently wailing all over the place. Now ask why I would ask anyone to fight for futuristic when we have quite a lot to fight for today! We must fight not for posterity or for some future generation. We must fight for ourselves and for today! As to your question about leaders, I'd beg us to not see ourselves as followers who require leaders, because the days of Moses playing our messiah has long gone, as you have pointed out in our 'leaders' lacking legacies. We must now consider picking up our own crosses and leading ourselves if not others, because I'm certain you are not willing to die for anyone. I sure as hell ain't! |
khia:No can do Khia. Especially not when I can use your name to illustrate my so called crap. |
Minjim:Unfortunately, you don't make them show you what they do with the tax you already pay, and when they tax you more you'd very likely just pay it. Trust me. They love the fact that you don't make them show you what they do with the tax you pay monthly. Hopefully, it will be a consideration of yours and many of us at the next election where we make the tax we pay monthly and also VAT more of an issue than the ethnicity or tribe or religion of those who ask us to elect them. |
Nauttyprof:Owned by government, perhaps, but you'd find government does not mine these mineral resources out of the ground. I'd even argue that government does not exactly own those mineral resources at all since those mineral resources are lying untapped in the ground until someone is given a concession to mine it out of the ground. I mean, have you not heard of the numerous Nigerians becoming billionaire owners of oil fields? Oil, is a mineral resourse, right? |
LagbajaTheBEREAN:Thank you sir. People fail to understand that by importing you export employment too, so there'll be fewer local jobs, and then my fellow Nigerians will wail that they can't find employment without realising we are the one's misdoing ourselves! |
proclinician:I'm sure you'd note I said we do not pay enough, which is why we fail to hold those who spend it accountable. Go check how much tax paid for our last budget and you might understand how much more we'd have to pay if all the budget expenditure was from taxation. When oil dries up, I assure you you'd understand. budaatum: |
Nauttyprof:It is not government that will solve the problem of local production for you! Government will not grow rice for you, nor will government pump gas for you! All government can do is provide an environment for you to want to do those things for yourself by banning imports, for instance, so I can charge you more for my local rice which will incentivise me to plant more to sell to you and earn more. Same with vat on imported gas which will make imported more expensive and make you buy my cheaper local gas. I mean, you don't expect me to labour on my farm or pump my gas because of my love for you, right, but because of the profit I intend to make. Prof, do you expect me to labour in charity on your behalf so that you do not starve? If so, wake up please because there is absolutely no reason for me to love you that much! As for why imported is more expensive, the reason is because we are too lazy to grow our own and import instead. If I grow my local own, it may seem more expensive for you the buyer, but the economy benefits because I'd be paying wages to those who help me produce which increases gdp and benefits society in general since my employees will spend locally, and I'd be paying local taxes which would benefit schools and hospitals and roads etc.
|
proclinician:See that bold? It's where you show your lack of knowledge and throw away your responsibility! The tax you pay has nothing to do with the tax the company pays, and you don't pay a share of any companies tax! The tax you pay is the amount deducted by the company as legislated by government. It's your money, as in money that you earned but which the company has deducted from your pay to remit as your income tax to the government, and when you realise this, that it is not your share of the tax the companies pays, you might start asking the government to be more accountable to you as to how your tax money is spent! Do know that after the company deducts tax from your gross income on behalf of government, you also get to pay vat out of your net. It would help you work out how much of your income government takes from you, and perhaps awaken you to how accountable you ought to make government be to you too. |
PrideofLincoln1:Like I said, you don't sound like a person who waits for the state to give you equity like ben would. You seek superiority for your child just as you sought it for yourself and are now reaping the rewards while ben is settling for communal equity but thinks I am the communist. But that's to be expected of him since he himself seems to have settled for equity for himself without realising it, lol. Its why some things are far too compkex for his comprehension. |
oranget:They want MNK and Sunday Ignition lol, to be the messiah who dies for them instead of us bearing our own cross. I bid us good luck with that. We will open our eyes when it gets much harder than it currently is, I'm sure. |
nedugroup:I do not expect to earn my rights to a better living without it costing me I'm afraid. History has taught me that I earn my rights with the shedding of my blood and sometimes even my life so others may have those rights. It's how we got democracy, you will find. Some people shed blood and even died so that I get to vote today, which is why it is my duty to be extremely diligent in electing my leaders, so that the labours of my heroes past is not in vain. Pity, later generations, us, have not quite been as diligent as we should have been, hence our wailing now and the need to give more of our blood and lives so our own children do not wail like we are. May our children find it in them to forgive us if we refuse to make the necessary sacrifice so they don't wail like we are wailing, because they would see how we wailed on NL but refused to sacrifice so they don't have to, and I doubt they'd respect us for it. |
Ogbeniomo:Very much indeed in fact. You should see how much Nigerian me now profits from my farm, though I feel very much for you who must now buy from me because you can not grow your own. My staff love you though because they now earn more. |
PrideofLincoln1:Even if you couldn't have afford to pay for better education for your children, I bet you'd have sacrificed some of your time to educate them too instead of leaving their education to the equity of the state like ben seemingly irresponsibly will. P.s. by parochial, I feel you don't mean "having a limited or narrow outlook or scope", lol, but a superior one church school. And public schools here mea n non-state funded, as in superior fee paying schools. Lol. |
