Naijanascam: I thought he had already refuted that this section is not among what he proposed for....
The Criminal Code Amendment Bill, 2021, did not talk about criminalizing protest or Protesters in Nigeria, rather, it is a Bill that proactively seeks to preserve the sanctity of human life and property and provide specifically for mob action, known as "jungle justice" in our local parlance. Copied Like they would care to distinguish "protest or Protesters in Nigeria", from "mob action", when it suits them. Besides, mob action known as "jungle justice" is already illegal in Nigeria, just that nobody cares to criminalise anyone for it. |

Listen, there is person or group on earth that the Fulani-controlled federal government fear like Nnamdi kanu and IPOB. I don't think Lying Mohammed has charged Kanu yet, nor do I think he is sufficiently intelligent to be the one charging anyone, so, I'll wait till Kanu is charged by those competent enough to charge him. Have they charged him at all? Meanwhile: Charge Nnamdi Kanu With Mass Murder – Igbo Group Tells FG
A group known as the Igbo Peace Forum (IPF), has urged President Muhammadu Buhari’s regime to charge Nnamdi Kanu with mass murder. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been calling for the secession of Igbos from Nigeria since 2015. He is now facing criminal charges following his re-arrest; Buhari federal government accused Nnamdi Kanu of orchestrating the killing of 60 people.
On Sunday, the Igbo Peace Forum at a solidarity rally to register their support for Buhari regime urged the government to prosecute Nnamdi Kanu for mass murder. The Igbo Peace Forum national coordinator Emeka Okpara said Igbos were concerned that some people in the South-East took up arms against the government, leading to the loss of lives and properties.
According to his words; “It would be recalled that the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who was standing trial on several charges, including treason, jumped bail but was re-arrested recently.
“We all remember how one individual could order from abroad attacks on government formations, killing hundreds of innocent people. IPOB caused the death of hundreds of people in the South-East,” the Igbo Peace Forum leader stated.
Speaking further, he said, “The only way the government can console Nigerians is to bring the perpetrators to justice. Now, with the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, appropriate charges of mass murder should be pressed immediately. It is the prosecution of these alleged criminals that would give credence to our sovereignty and restore the confidence of the masses.’’
According to the national coordinator of Igbo Peace Forum, Emeka Okpara, the activities of IPOB give Igbos a bad name, endangering their livelihoods in other parts of the country.

nyiamfrank: AFRICAN CHARTER ON HUMAN AND PEOPLES RIGHTS
ARTICLE 20 1. All peoples shall have the right to existence. They shall have the unquestionable and inalienable right to self-determination. They shall freely determine their political status and shall pursue their economic and social development according to the policy they have freely chosen. 2. Colonized or oppressed peoples shall have the right to free themselves from the bonds of domination by resorting to any means recognized by the international community. 3. peoples shall have the right to the assistance of the State Parties to the present Charter in their liberation struggle against foreign domination, be it political, economic or cultural.
You may want to ask if that is the constitutional of Nigeria? The answer is YES. This is because Nigeria is a member state of the OAU and is a signatory to that law. Nigeria went further to domesticate the law which makes it automatically part of the construction of Nigeria. Since 1979, Nigeria has never refuted or amended that law.
Is it very very clear to you now? If anything contrary, present it here let me learn from you. It is not the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended, as you claimed, but I am willing to allow it, and suggest you go do some research because what you posted does not give a right of seccession. If it did, it is the same Article 20 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and Catalan would have used it to secede from Spain, Scotland would have used it to secede from Britain, California and Texas might have used it to secede from the United States of America already, and Hong Kong and China would definitely have used it to secede from China, since the countrys they are part of are all signatories to the United Nations which gives that the same Right. In fact, if it did give the right of secession, no country on earth would have signed it. But if you think otherwise, please provide just one country where secession has happened under Article 20. The clue to its inapplicability is in "Colonized or oppressed peoples". You are not colonized, and you can't exactly prove you are oppressed, and even if it did apply, the place to be proving it is in the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights, and not by agitating on the streets.

LikeAking: Government will not run biz, but they will own biz.
The moment government abandon manufacturing for the capitalist, it will spell doom.
The capitalist will run the economy to the ground.
This don't make sense. "Government is no longer involved in business." "US companies are battling with companies backed and sponsored by their government." These are the words of an irresponsible government.
Government should invest massively in business. Its working wonders in ASIA.
The USA and Eroupean governments were investing in business in thise olden days and it paid off. The govs even sponsored various trips by exploitative crooks to Africa. That will show you how deep their govt participated in business in those olden days.
If you think its wrong for gov to be part of biz, why is the Asian economy booming?
The greedy capitalist of the West deceived the govt and masses with = "Government is no longer involved in business."
In summery the Chinese and Japanese government are behind the success and domination.
A pure capitalist economy is evil.
Government most own and invest in business to enable them make favorable laws that will benefit the country. The government will also invest in very high capital intensive projects to enable her biz men make great profit and minimize losses. I guess you are right, government should invest in business. In fact, I think Nigerian government already does invest in business. I mean, look at the concessions given to the likes of Dangote, and the fact that heavily indebted companies never go bankrupt nor pay their electricity bills, that is government investment, surely Just know that money government invests in companies and business is tax money that is not invested in schools and hospitals and proper infrastructure that only government can provide and that creates employment, while the businesses government invests in is those of their cronies who become billionaires who buy their education and health abroad and create employment abroad too. |

KRSWon: What about people's farms which are destroyed due to cattle grazing? What about people unable to go to their farms due to the violence and killing?
It's like you're unaware of the reasons WHY the prices of crops and food items have gone up.e violence and killing?
It's like you're unaware of the reasons WHY the prices of crops and food items have gone up. Do you have a farm, KRSWon? I ask because cattle go on my farm. You can read below how I handle them . budaatum: I have a farm! Fulani have driven their cattle on it and eaten my cassava! I informed them my cassava is my own cattle and asked them if they would be happy if my cassava ate their cattle. They said no, and their leader compensated me.
That is how we handle Fulani and cattle in the Orolu Kingdom of Ifon Osun. Some people will even plant small land with cassava and accuse Fulani of eating acres just for the compensation. We know where they live in our bush you see, and we are more than them and if they do not comply my people will go and eat their cattle.
I hope that satisfies your presumption of my lack of "experienced atrocities being committed by fulani herdsmen". As we say in Ifon, ki la fi oro se ni ilẹ wa if not to invoke fear in unruly guests and visitors? The price of crops and food items has gone for two main reasons. One is an inability to plant in the North due to violence and killing, as you say, and because we down South have not taken advantage of their inability to plant. We are here instead claiming some people are chasing us off our father land instead of us chasing those people off our fatherland, which really is just an excuse for our own weakness and laziness! Or would you say it's a lie, we are not lazily doing rankadede outside the house of politicians that we think are our messiahs, while selling urselves for a pitiful ₦1000 or a congo of rice and a litre of kerosine as described below? budaatum: Even if I do not live in Nigeria, do you think my people back home would not make me feel it with the increase in their demand for money? Please don't make me have to cry to you about their demands, lol.
I was home during GEJ's time running my farm. If I asked them to come work for me at higher than the going rate, they refuse because if they went to stand outside the local government chairman's house he will give them 10 times what I will pay them. Hard working people were earning in a month what lazy fuqs were receiving in a day just for yelling rankadede! But where were these politicians getting the money from, nobody asked! From $150 a barrel of crude oil, of course. Money was so plenty that instead of hiring Joseph to advise them to save during the 7 years of plenty, my people were saying "a ti owo ẹni, a ti owo ẹni ẹlẹni, ki Ọlọrun ma fi kan wọn wọn” - their own money or another person's money, God give them either, with no care where it came from. Now, 7 years of scarcity has started, and you expect me to have sympathy?
Of course purchasing power has gone down, and all those things are happening! But how else would people who lived on rankadede survive when a barrel of crude oil is a third what it was and the person paying them the money has been arrested by EFCC? Do you seriously think we can be putting so much money in ghanamustgo and soakaways and not rue the rewards of our fraud, corruption and incompetence?
No, religion is not necessary. Proper understanding is, and of whatever our ideology is, and of our situation moreso. Unfortunately, we are not Mao's China nor Mahathir's Malaysia, and we are not going to be anytime soon until we understand how we ourselves are the devils who create the hell that we currently live in and decide to make it a heaven full of angels instead, with, as you say, "a new national consciousness". And yes, it begins by questioning so that we may gain understanding and demand better rule instead of selling our vote for ₦3500.
By the way, its for less that ₦1000 in my home town these days! Money don scarce! |
