Myer:I so love when people put words into God's mouth and people believe it instead of looking around with their own eyes and accepting what they see, because if you did look around you'd see lots of people God is meant to hate, as you put it, being blessed by the ever loving God. A crude example would be God blessing nations that condone homosexuality, while Lord Lord Nigeria is wailing. God is not a human being, nor would God ask humans to do what God can't bother doing. and as I've stated, love your enemies is a removal of conditions to not love. If you can love your children unconditionally as you likely do and regardless of their sins, and if your parents can love you unconditionally too as they likely do regardless of your sins, then how much more can God love unconditionally? Do note that love does not preclude punishment. If one sins one will be justly rewarded but one will still be loved like the one sheep out of a hundred that went astray. |
Myer:God will decide whom to have mercy on or whom not have mercy on. "It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy". You should see how it connects to the Parable of Hubris, which Romans 9:15 is to teach us not to commit.
|
Kobojunkie:Love your enemy is unconditional, or you would expect to get something back in return. If one sheep goes astray is unconditional, or you'd let the astray sheep meet the condition of its straying. Turn the other cheek is unconditional, or you will condition a slap gor a slap and not give your shirt to those who take your coat.

Myer:And yet, Oh, when the rain fall, fall, fall now, It don't fall on one man's housetop. Remember that: When the rain fall, It don't fall on one man's housetop. Experience has shown that God loves unconditionally just as we are also taught to unconditionally love our enemies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZp-LLfDSc4

sweetshisha:The future of crude oil is bleak, as is the future of a nation that depends on it. We think Nigeria is bad now, but it will get worse, and in this lifetime. https://thenationonlineng.net/icymi-why-shell-chevron-other-oil-majors-are-leaving-nigeria/

Women did not put cctv in Hancock's office and he was obviously the only one benefiting, and if he had kept his cock in his wife where it ought to have rightly belonged he would not have destroyed himself with his own hands! Mayng01: |
TheSourcerer:Is "our 'souls'" alive now? |
TheSourcerer:You "have seen that the Earth would end", or some "we" told you they "have seen that the Earth would end" and you believe they saw, like the theist believes the prophets and then claims adamantly to have seen what they've been told though they merely believe and often lie or can't separate fact from fiction? I present the Prophet and High Priest Isaac Asimov (I'm searching for a pdf for you because its a must read)! And here are more fictional Tales About Dead or Dying Worlds.

ogododo:Don't allow yourself to be used. Use your own brain instead to organise and fight to stop those making Nigeria hell! |
ThEGodFaThEr103:Not every youth has a brain. Join those with brains to fight for the change you want to see! |
ThEGodFaThEr103:You first get rid of "the lifeless dullard from Daura", as you have been democratically empowered to do. You then elect a president who is committed to rebuild Nigeria with youths, as you have democratically been empowered to do. |
ogododo:They are not "blaming youth"! They are actually recognising the skills and abilities of the youth and are saying it is the youth who have the powers to stop the old men chopping clean mouth, and to make Nigeria the great nation it has the potential to become. |
Perhaps we shall now begin to understand that our future is in our own hands, and that building our nation includes stopping those who destroy it! Join the Nairaland Democratic Party and be the difference you want to see!

providence338:No, I don't mind you asking please. I had the Astra Zeneca jab. The recommended interval between doses is between 4 to 12 weeks, so I was somewhat in the middle. budaatum: |
Disstroy. Please know that I buda broke the Sunday Rule by thinking angry and insulting thoughts in my head. I am informing you so you know that buda is a hypocrite, but I promise that buda will try harder all week and I appreciate knowing you will hold me to the task, nay, the challenge you have set. And for my hypocrisy I will endeavour to ensure it applies to every post on every thread on the whole of Nairaland. So help me God and the watchful Disstroy. |
Below is an example of what the equitable Nigerian school system has produced, and I beg you Ben, not to let your children end up like that! Wherever you may be, go further and seek superior education for your children please!
|
benalvino2:To be honest with you Ben, you are making it hard for me to observe Sunday Rules, and I'm even beginning to doubt I could possibly stick to Disstroy's all week rule! The above shows you have not bothered to read the book because what you claim is very clearly not written in it nor is it even inferred, and anyone who implies that what you are claiming is what is in the book, is either being evil or is just plain ignorant and I can't honestly decide which is worse. Do know that what is written in the book does apply to all teachings, and that biases in the education system does a lot of damage to those being 'taught', and while a government should rightly ensure equity in a school system, a parent must go much further and seek superior education for their offspring. That is the reason some chose to pay their child's school fees instead of sending their children to free state schools. It's to get superior education for their child, and not equity education that government schools provide! |
The mere fact that you believe or think or even consider that the universe would end makes you a theist, because theism is the only place you can get the idea of the universe ending from! A scientific thinking person would reason that though it is claimed that the universe came into being out of nothing billions of years in the past, it is mere speculation, the same as "God said", and such scientific reasoning would make scientific minded people hesitate at theistically predicting the future that might be billion of years away or even never. They'd at least reason that all that is before us and which constitutes the universe, as in the stars and the planets and the sun in our galaxy, and all the other stars and the planets and the suns in the other numerous uncountable galaxies, can not possibly just come to some sort of end! You bloody theist! |
benalvino2:I should not expect you to understand. You are fortunate to not have children growing up in a society where they are a minority or they would have come home to inform you how they can be discouraged from simply asking questions in class or how the teachers might answer questions from white kids and not from them, or how they are written off just because of the colour of their skin. |
benalvino2:You clearly do not understand what you are reading! I am buda! I did not seek equity for my child in maths and all other subjects my children studied! I sought superiority in maths for my children instead by teaching them myself from when they were in the womb and by ensuring they practise and study maths and their other subjects more than any other person's children as soon as they were born because I know the importance of maths to my childrens education and their future! You be there settling to be equal to others if you wish! Some are pushing for much better. But schools must at least be fair regardless of race, gender, ethnic origin, wealth, religion, etc etc!
|
benalvino2:Why do you do this Ben? Do you lie intentionally or don't you understand what you read? Those people never said "blacks are too dumb to perform well on maths", because if they had said that, they could not possibly blame other sources now could they. And they nor I never said blacks are too dumb to perform well in maths, a subject I myself taught in a Nigerian school in which my students got the same 'A' that I got! budaatum: |
paltielx:I have experienced it myself. I am a living testimony to understanding the Bible. |
benalvino2:I don't prove anything to you Ben, because I trust you to trust your own eyes and look to see for yourself, but if you don't see what I see, which often happens on here since you look from the Right and I from the Left, then so might it be. That said, you made claims about the book you posted, so you just show how it agrees with your claims so we see where you are coming from with it. |
benalvino2:You know that asking me to do the work you should do for yourself gets me angry, which is not allowed on Sunday! Go read the book Ben, instead of asking me to read it to you. You may post bits that say what you claim and we will explain to you what you misunderstand. |
benalvino2:Ben, the bolded is precisely what the entire book is about, as you would know if you read it. |
When you shut the economy and campuses, those students will return home and have nothing better to do than join the crooks and kidnappers and yahoos because satan will find work for their idle hands and then shall we really have a lot more insecurity to complain about. |
DDDEnterprises:Pleasure. |
A person on here said a Physics textbook must be believed, and nothing can convince that person that Physics is to be understood and that science itself is the art of opening eyes so one may "ask and knock and seek with all one's heart and soul and mind and being". That goes to show how badly our education is damaged and makes some stupid, but that will change when we reform our education syllabus, I assure you. We just need to seek understanding to know that we must change how we teach.

farem:I don't know about the others but Baptist Academy, Lagos is a secondary school located in Obanikoro, Lagos, Nigeria. The school was established in 1855 by the American Baptist Missionaries. |
