I stated this earlier. Not everyone's immediate symptoms are going to be the same. Because they vary from person-to-person, symptoms are not my focus.

I had my second jab on May 24 and my first jab was on March 19, and no symptoms whatsoever yet, but I will let you know if that changes.

Funny thing is that the issues raised in what you posted apply in Nigeria, though not mainly due to race per se but due to our underlying ideologies and beliefs.

An example is a person I am discussing with who believes a science textbook, Physics to be precise, should be believed, when the entire purpose of any science is to teach sceptism and to use your own senses to ask and knock and seek. In justifying his beliefs he distorts facts.

If a teacher has racial or religious or any other biased underpinning beliefs, those beliefs would seep into all areas of their teachings and distort the truth, and a teacher who wants to teach well would start by teaching themselves not to be biased, which is what is taught by what you posted, Ben, as you'd find if you read it.

I'd actually prefer the debates without insults. Last week, Benalvino2 began an interesting debate about Critical Race Theory. I was actually expecting the supposed non-combatant members (as I myself was in 'combat mode' for two whole days before then and would only have come off as aggressive if I did debate it so I took a back seat) to debate it with him. I kept returning, my ban regardless, hoping there'd be a debate for and against it. Sadly, there was none as the people he tried debating it responded with only insults.

Missed opportunity to genuinely share ideas and perspective about a topical issue.

You know what would be better than the Sunday Rule? Agreeing anyone who insults at any point of the day would be banned by the moderators. A week of constant bans might deter everyone and make them insist on debating issues.

I could decide to be inactive today then go on to insult from tomorrow. That's the limitation of the Sunday thingy.

The way Sunday Rules "Cult" works is you recognise not everyone is a member and might not observe it, but observers commit to observing it regardless. Or don't you realise you have respected buda ever since, because I myself have noticed.
