However, what they will not tell us is that "AL" also means god/goddess.
I think you fail to decipher the complexity of what you read so you create God in the image of man.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Democrats Take Control Of Congress by budaatum: 9:17am On Feb 26, 2021
This CSIS brief examines the state of terrorism in the United States. It asks two sets of questions. First, what are the most significant types of terrorism in the United States, and how has the terrorism threat in the U.S. homeland evolved over time? Second, what are the implications for terrorism over the next year? To answer these questions, this analysis compiles and analyzes an original data set of 893 terrorist plots and attacks in the United States between January 1994 and May 2020.

This analysis makes several arguments. First, far-right terrorism has significantly outpaced terrorism from other types of perpetrators, including from far-left networks and individuals inspired by the Islamic State and al-Qaeda. Right-wing attacks and plots account for the majority of all terrorist incidents in the United States since 1994, and the total number of right-wing attacks and plots has grown significantly during the past six years. Right-wing extremists perpetrated two thirds of the attacks and plots in the United States in 2019 and over 90 percent between January 1 and May 8, 2020. Second, terrorism in the United States will likely increase over the next year in response to several factors. One of the most concerning is the 2020 U.S. presidential election, before and after which extremists may resort to violence, depending on the outcome of the election. Far-right and far-left networks have used violence against each other at protests, raising the possibility of escalating violence during the election period.

INTERVIEW WITH THE NAIRALAND KING!

I am very excited and overjoyed just posting this interview with Seun, the Nairaland creator and administrator. Why? You may wonder. His story depicts a 24-year old Nigerian who decided to cause a change rather than being influenced by a society surrounded with all manners of issues. Seun has become an icon of “anything is possible if you believe”. I rubbed minds with him, on himself, his dreams, his popular site that registers more than 56,000 Nigerians and friends of Nigerians and on issues surrounding unemployment in Nigeria.

1. May we know your full name?

ANSWER: Oluwaseun Osewa

2. May we meet you; primary, secondary, and university background, where you come from, etc?

ANSWER: I’m a capitalist, and I come from Nigeria.

3. Would you say your educational background influenced your present dispositions?

The way you Igbos are fighting amongst yourself is very amusing to an outsider like me, and a warning too. I mean, see Igbo fight Igbo!

As I tell my Yoruba people clamouring for Oduduwa Republic, people in my own Orolu Kingdom in Osun State where we are all Yorubas, are fighting our Yoruba neighbours who are all Yoruba like us, which makes me ask, who needs enemies from the North or from the East when we already have enemies in our backyard? Is it not true that what we are going to find in Sokoto State is in our Sokoto (trouser pocket)?.Just go to Ondo and see how we Yorubas oppressing our families by forcing Oduduwa down the minority Ijaw throats!

I know many wish to destroy Nigeria for one reason or another, but the lack of unity in your very own tribes and courtyards show that you will destroy yourselves in the process, because, as soon as you kick out the visitors, Igbo will fight Igbo in their own courtyard and Yoruba will fight Yoruba, and all those minority tribes, well, "Delta we need your oil", "Ijaw, you dare not speak", "so die please minorities!" "You have no might to speak!" Can you not see how united we should stand?

I will warn you but know I should not bother. Or did you not think I am Fulani?

So let me just leave you with:

Politics › Re: What You Should Know About The (insane) Equity Act Bill Set To Be Passed In USA by budaatum: 11:30pm On Feb 25, 2021
They will not do research but will just stupidly accept what someone posts without checking!

First, its called the Equality Act Bill, and not the ignorant title the op gave it, and it does not do the nonsense the op lies that it does!

You may read the act here if you wish to inform yourself. I have also posted an extract from NPR below. The full text summarizes the views of proponents and opponents.

What would the Equality Act do?

The Equality Act would amend the 1964 Civil Rights Act to explicitly prevent discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

The bill has been introduced multiple times before and previously passed the House in 2019. However, the law's impact would be different in practical terms now than it was then.

That's because the Supreme Court ruled in June of last year, in Bostock v. Clayton County, that the protections guaranteed by the 1964 Civil Rights Act on the basis of sex also extend to discrimination against lesbian, gay, and transgender Americans. The logic was that a man who, for example, loses his job because he has a same-sex partner is facing discrimination on the basis of sex — that, were he a woman, he wouldn't have faced that discrimination.

This act would explicitly enshrine those nondiscrimination protections into law for sexual orientation and gender identity, rather than those protections being looped in under the umbrella of "sex." However, the Equality Act would also substantially expand those protections.

The Civil Rights Act covered discrimination in certain areas, like employment and housing. The Equality Act would expand that to cover federally funded programs, as well as "public accommodations" — a broad category including retail stores and stadiums, for example.

https://www.npr.org/2021/02/24/969591569/house-to-vote-on-equality-act-heres-what-the-law-would-do

If you knew about the Civil Rights Act (1964) and understand how it helped combat discrimination, you might understand the need for this bill.

No, Shadeyinka. I do not want you to adopt my philosophy. You can not adopt my philosophy no matter how much I try. And it is the fact you misunderstand that and make false claims about me that annoys me.

In order to adopt my philosophy, you will have to have travelled the path I travelled to get it. And to be honest with you, I would not wish my travelled path on my worst enemy because it is a very harrowing path that involves physically dying at least 3 times and spiritually being dead for longer than you've likely lived, so why would I want to wish such a path on you.

Nairaland General › Re: Things Every Lady Should Know Before 30 by budaatum:
Mikester:
Women are more likely to view things from an emotional perspective than a logical one which in most cases make them to stick to some wrong choices consistently.
I can not say I am happy that you mentioned me for this Mikester, though I understand why you would. And while I was not going to respond, the continuous mentions I keep getting every time someone quotes your mention post keeps bringing me back to it, so I must and I will, but only to the above, which is based on a generalisation, which really pisses me off, because while some "Women are more likely to view things from an emotional perspective than a logical one", most Women are more likely to view things from a practical perspective.

You see, women have this thing called a womb in which life grows and comes forth into the world, and there's nothing emotional about it. Bun goes in oven and 9 months later a life is fully baked. But its not over at that particular point in time, not by a long shot. For the first few months after coming out the oven and up to a year for some or two for others, that life clings to the woman's chest, sucking at her tits while she wipes its bum, and there's nothing emotional about a crying smelly brat stuck to your tits; there's nothing more practical than being solely responsible for nurturing a life and for keeping it growing and for showing it the path to trod so it does stumble not.

I do not know about most of you of course, but for all, tit food will stop, and daddy might be rich and become the provider of the food, but does he have time for the bunny you he baked? I mean, just you read what many men write on here. Do many not sound very irresponsible to you? Would you like to be their child? Especially the child of a redpiller or a pig? Just you listen to some of them talk about their hoes. Then consider if you were cursed to be their girl or be their daughter or they baked in your oven and you bore a daughter for them. They might not bake buns in her oven but they sure sound like they would, or sell her to their friend so he may bake in her, and my only joy is there must be very few of them though they make a lot of noise and make it seem like most are pigs like them which just can not be true. Or I pray it is not true. Indeed I hope it is untrue!

You see, everything you men know about women is from men. You write things like this without asking a woman, for none of them you ask will say they are emotional. Their brain is in their heads, unlike you men with half your brain in your pants. Ignorant as fuq! Even in the Garden you daily walk past a tree that will give you knowledge and wisdom, but do you pluck and eat? Hell no! You just eat what you are told to eat and remain dumb as fuqs because you are afraid you might die while believing I'm a rib! And when we woman test what you've been told and surely do not die but find it good for wisdom and say "man you eat too", despite not surely dying and living till 930, you claim woman made you eat yet you still do not die from the fruit she made you eat, and you stupidly refuse to accept that it was she who freed your silly ignorant man ass from the slavery it was held in so you may become as us, knowing where you came from same as Cain and Abel we made for you!

I think I'm going to stop now because I am getting emotional and feel like I will go and kick some mans ass but one last thing. You see that Messiah you all call Jesus Christ that you worship everyday? Dear sweet Mary put her tit inside his mouth and a brain inside his head, for though you may not know it. Nay, you most definitely do not know it, It was she who read Isaiah and taught her Son to read, so that when he was on a mountain and a demon tempted him he was able to conquer it with "It is written", and now He sits with your Lord God saving your ignorant asses while you worship him forgetting the mighty oven that He was baked in.

So, emotional? O you very poor mans!

I know that the OP, HellVictorinho, LordReed are not comfortable with (and reject) the label Nihilist even though the position of atheism naturally gravitate towards it. It's like me rejecting the thought of me dieing someday. It must happen, my refection not withstanding!

When you look the totality of existence from an atheists mind, Nihilism is the conclusion. However, when you narrow existence down to the microlevel of day to day choices, an atheist like you want to see it as meaningful, purposeful.

If unfortunately, it's like winning the small battles but ultimately loosing the war. I will rather loose 1000 battles but win the war.

That's why I said:
Even if you don't like the idea (and ultimately it's a paradox), shouldn't all men be Nihilists?

I like to define Nihilism as:
The basic idea of nihilism is that life ultimately has no purpose or meaning.

I see it like playing an indefinite Russian Roulette were with each round of success, you are paid $1 million. If perchance you survive till the 100th round (with $100 million credit) and the 101th bullet is live, is such a game of any advantage to the player!

Of course, no intellegent person likes the idea of Nihilism. Would I have missed anything in life if shadeyinka died at 1year 2 months? So what am I gaining that I have lived into adulthood?

I understand you position:
An atheist like you would not want to allow the Nihilist philosophy from defining your total living existence (it is fatalistic): but separate day today positive choices you make as meaningful
