Politics / Re: Unpainted And Unregistered Taxicabs Will No Longer Operate In FCT – Wike by Buke26: 12:57pm On Jan 25
The fact that one chance is mostly done using Abuja painted taxi cabs cool cool.. Abuja residents and those who have experienced this evil are fully aware that it was the unsusecious painted taxi that they boarded.

The major solution is to install CCTVs on major pick up and drop off areas and also have CCTVs monitoring the roads to identify vehicles picking up or gettting rid of victims

Education / Advocacy Group - Gurubase Africa Leads Campaign Against Drug Usage & Abuse by Buke26: 8:44am On Aug 14, 2023
GuruBase Africa, a non - governmental organization and a youth-led advocacy group Committed to good governance & the eradication of Drug Abuse and Substance Usage by Teenagers in Africa under the leadership of the Executive Director and Founder, Echi Godwin Echi was at the front of an advocacy campaign and creation of awareness on the dangers and effects of substance usage amongst young adults across schools in Kaduna State.

''The infiltration of drugs and exposure to substance usage by teenagers in Northern Nigeria has become a silent pandemic and a menace ravaging the teeming youths within the region'', Godwin Echi said during his speech at Government College Saminika, Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

It was an enjoyable interactive session as students and academic staff gave illustrations and remarks on the vulnerability of young adults to substance usage as well as the cheap accessibility to these drugs.

At Government Day Secondary School Lere, the Principal while addressing the workshop called on the Bureau of Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment, the UNODC, and other relevant stakeholders to tackle the issue of substance abuse from the grassroots communities and encourage partnership with Advocacy Groups and Non-Governmental Organizations.

In partnership with the NYSC, GuruBase Africa is programmed to increase its advocacy campaigns and programs to all the states in Nigeria with a vision of expanding across Sub-Saharan Africa.

The HR in Organisation recommends we all take courses on Alison. So I feel the recognition of Alison Certificates is dependent on the organisation. But on the general note, Alison is a way of acquiring side knowledge which can be added to your CV under Professional Courses/Certificates

Even myself as a Muslim I don't support such Muslim Muslim ticket. What if the tables are turned.? Nigeria is a secular state and a fragile one at that.... At this critical moment of the country's history and for the purpose of equity and inclusiveness I strongly advise against such ticket..

Foreign Affairs / Re: Russia Hits Back At Western Sanctions, 48 Countries Will Be Affected by Buke26: 5:37pm On Mar 10, 2022
OreMI22:
Lol......Russia is imposing sanctions on USA. grin grin grin

The sanction thing works like a fight between a billion-dollar conglomerate and a tiny company.
Using Nigeria as an instance, Dangote conglomerate can stop buying sugar cane from a major farmer in Jos, and also influence other buyers not to buy the farmer's produce. To make up the shortfall, it could invest in farmers in Cameroon or Benin to supply it with Sugar cane.

Of course the farmer can fight back by refusing to buy Dangote cement for his one-room shack construction project. However in reality, Dangote can ruin the farmer by blocking 100% of its income while the farmer cannot even hurt 1% of Dangote's business in Jos alone.

Russia is about the size of Texas's economy. Worse still, it is not as innovative as Japan in high-tech goods critically needed in the USA. Therefore, it has almost nothing EXCEPT GAS! Unfortunately, it cannot afford to stop selling its oil and gas because 100% of its income comes from there too. Not to mention that USA has its own abundant oil and gas supplies too.

You just dey talk rubbish. The ban is to explicitly balance the trade in import and export. Since other countries have banned Russian exports, its economical for Russia to ban these Countries import into the Russian economy to avoid trade deficite i.e situation whr imports will out Weigh/surpass export like stupid country called Nigeria....

Pls someone made a mistake with the figures for height and chest measurements, and she has submitted already, what can the person do to correct it? Plus is it advisable to do another registration and submit again?

Height and chest measure doesn't really matter from experience. Just like as at nysc reg, all those measurements no mean anything. If you get it wrong just continue the process. No stress yourself over it. Double registration can lead to automatic disqualification anyway

and that's it.

Foreign Affairs / Re: The Banner On A Ship Carrying Jewish Refugees To Palestine In 1947 by Buke26: 10:25am On May 16, 2021
ReubenE:
Egypt and and the Arab league is largely responsible for the ordeal the Palestinians are facing...
Those lands were not stolen, majority was acquired through conquest after the Arab-Israeli wars

Israel only expanded its grip on Palestinian lands (formally a British mandate) after the defeat of the Arab coalition in 1948 and 1967.

If the Arab league had allowed reason to prevail when the UN Resolution partitioned that land to Two States (Jewish State of Israel, and Arab State of Palestine) in 1947, perhaps by now, Palestine would have been a thriving country on their own with her own army.

But Egypt and the Arab coalition felt Israel was too small and feeble. Egyptian Generals even boasted that a war with Israel would be like a parade from Cairo to Tel Aviv, that Tel Aviv would be overtaken in two weeks.
They opposed the UN Resolution for Two-State Solution by invading Israel, a battle they lost.
Israel ceased more lands far more than what was given to her by the UN after the war. Can Israel be blamed for doing this? The answer is No, the the land is a war bounty.

Syria lost the control of Golan Heights, Jordan lost the West Bank, Egypt lost the Gaza Strip after the 6 days war (3rd Arab war with Israel) in 1967.
Israel obviously and overwhelmingly won the war and consolidated its grip on Palestine.
Can Israel be blamed for controlling a land they conquered through war? No, cause in war, everything is fair.

The Two-State solution the Palestinians and the Arab League opposed vehemently in 1947, is what they are now clamoring for, but unfortunately, Israel and her western allies especially the US is no longer keen on doing that.

One very important fact to note is that, no country is a good country in the International System of power play.
Palestine would do the same to Israel if she finds herself in that position because international politics is always about National Interest.

Russia has been annexing Ukrainian lands (Crimea, Sevastopol etc), Russia has been making attempts to annex Georgia, Turkey has been muscling Armenia etc. No country is a good country, it is always about self and National Interest.

PS:
The land Israel is occupying is not entirely Palestinian land. They have historical ties to that land right from the time of Egypt and Babylonia.
Israel only ceased Golan Heights, West Bank, East Jerusalem, Gaza Strip after the war with the Arab Coalition

Truth nothing but the facts.

The North are the people that need those tight and numerous road blocks because they are being ravaged by Insecurities.

Igbo land isn't at war and we don't need road blocks. All they do here is to extort the poor masses.

Enough is enough

I travelled from Abuja to Kebbi last month, passing through Kaduna, Katsina, Zamfara and Sokoto through to Kebbi. Honestly I saw less than 4 police check points. 2 unserious military check points and 1 customs/immigrations. For a war torn zone? Haaaaaa. I travelled to Lagos from Abuja last week, hmmm over 30 Checkpoints, military outpost, vigilantes etc. Omor. I think going to the East is worse sef. I don't know what these guys are planning...
