1Sharon:No I don't relax my hair. I am natural. |
kjhova:I can argue that at least everything you listed above is a form a sustenance. Our body needs food, it doesn't need to smoke. Those things that you listed are not 100% bad for you if you eat it in moderation. It is a sin if you eat it in excess when you are able to afford healthier options. |
Just because an Oyinbo is smoking does not make it right. There is absolutely no benefit to smoking and it is very harmful. Smoking is the leading cause of cancer in the west. Your body is a temple of God and smoking destroys that temple so to me, smoking is a sin. Not only is smoking bad for you, it is also harmful to the people around you. When you smoke, the people around you are forced to inhale the smoke which also causes cancer. Furthermore, most western countries have laws that prohibit smoking in public places so not only is the Oyinbo man being irresponsible, he is also comitting a crime. |
hamzyluv:Actually statistics show that there are more men in Nigeria than women. The ratio is 1.01 man per 1 woman. Here is the link: http://www.indexmundi.com/nigeria/demographics_profile.html By marrying two wives you are the one who is being selfish because now less men will have a chance of marrying women. |
They are very cute |
University of my parents So proud. |
everydayperson:Speak for yourself! Ancient Yoruba art way before colonization is considered highly advanced for its time and has been compared to ancient Roman and Greek art many times. |
I am natural too. I transitioned for 1 1/2 years and did the big chop in January. I have been natural for more than 2 years now. |
What is the benefit of pidgin? Can it be understood outside of Nigeria. Some regions in Nigeris cannot even understand when someone from a different area speaks pidgin to them. Pidgin does not have a structured grammatical layout and words can just be created from thin air. It has nothing to do with out indigenous language. The only reason that countries like Jamaica may have Patois had their official language is because they do not have a native one. In the end, students still learn in standard English. If we want to copy a countries system, it is better to copy India. India is more similar to Nigeria than Jamaica or America. India was also colonized by Britain, there are more indigenous languages spoken in India than in Nigeria. India's education system is considered to be fairly good and are known for being very intelligent worldwide. Indian schools teach in both the native languages and English. By the time the student graduates from Indian schools they can usually speam at least 2 languages fluently and sometimes even 3. We should be asking for our native languages to be more intergratedbin schools. Many native languages are dying and if Nigeria is not careful we will end up like the likes of Jamaica, Liberia, Haiti. Not having any native language to call our own except for a bastardized form of English. I am Yoruba and I would prefer to bw taught in Igbo or Hausa in schools than Pidgin. |
IGOSABIdotCOM:If you want natural products, Aloe Vera will help to soothe the itchiness and Shea butter will reduce the rash. I also found that staying away from the sun helped reduce the pain. If you want rash to truly go away forever than you need to find the cause of the rash and stop using it. I suggest thay you stop wearing the raincoat and see if your rash has become smaller by 1-2 days. |
You don't look very Nigerian or the typical west African. Try south central African like Angola or maybe far west Africa like Senegal. |
IGOSABIdotCOM:I have had the same strange rash happen to me before. Someone advised me to wear sunscreen which I had never done before. It caused me to develop a rash like that all over my body, especially my arms, legs and neck. I went to the doctor and it turned out that I was allergic to sunscreen ![]() The doctor gave me a cream that helped the rash go down and the itchiness to stop. Think carefully about if you have used any strange creams lately or eaten anything different. I don't think the rash is serious and it should go away on its own but if the pain bothers you then you should seek a doctor |
It looks like an allergic reaction. Have you started putting anything new on your skin? Have you been eating anything different recently? |
I vote Mimzy Mysticalgal Ivvy cc NLJega |
All I see is people complaining in this thread but unless someone calls the police and reports them then nothing will change. |

jhidey08:You can teach your child modest dressing without forcing them to wear a hijab. It is only in Nigeria where you see two year old girls wearing hijabs. This is caused by illiteracy and ignorance. Too many people do not understand their own religion. Even in Saudi Arabia and the rest of the middle east, young girls do not wear hijab until they hit puberty. |
louqas:Hijab may be part of the dressing of a Muslim woman but it is not part of the dressing of a Muslim girl. Hijab is a personal decision that should be made when girls hit puberty and not forced unto girls as young as 4 by their parents. |
Congratulations ![]() Thanks for making Nigeria proud |
jasysandra:Ifa belives in one god. All the others are just deities that exist to help Olodumare like Christian angels and a gateway to Orunmila for believers. Catholics pray to Mary and other Saints but Catholicism is considered monotheistic. I had to research Ifa for a project and that was how it was described. Here are some sources: https://africanspiritualitynow./2013/05/12/6/ http://cubanyoruba..ca/2007/04/orishas.html http://organizations.uncfsu.edu/ncrsa/journal/v03/johnsonoyinade_yoruba.htm |
The Yoruba Ifa is also a Monotheistic religion and has been in existence for hundrerds of years. |
farouk0403:I don't find Kanuri men ugly and there's also nothing wrong with dark skin. I just think that those pictures were not a good representation of an average Kanuri man |
Jabioro:She was born in Nigeria so she probably does carry a Nigerian passport with her American one. |
I made front page for the first time ![]() I am not Igbo but I am proud of all the Nigerians who represent us well abroad |

I think Nigerians would accept Osinbajo completing the 4-year term but the politicians will not ![]() |
shumuel:Yes just the seeds of the cashew plant. The fruit of the cashew plant is too soft to be exported abroad and may be sold locally. |
The allergy rate in Nigeria is far lower than in West but I believe that Nigeria has a higher lactose intolerent rate. Many people are allergic to milk and just don't know it. |
shumuel:Cashews are a cash crop. They will most likely be sold abroad. This will help to diversify our economy and strengthen our Naira. |
She is from Benin but she can speak Yoruba. Have you heard her song Agolo? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4dERzdBon0 |
HalimaSadiya:You are right but many of the guys in these pictures look like they could be mixed with Shuwa Arabs. |

maybe photoshop or something
...and this is a typical "Shuwa Arab"
