How do I let go!

I easily forgive, but hardly forgets and it is now affecting my relationship.

My Fiancee loves me like mad! Even though she denies it, but I don't need an oracle to tell she deeply loves me.

She's a good lady but she takes pleasure in getting me very angry, almost all the time, all in the name that she is playing with me. She plays & jokes with things I don't play or joke with and she never apologizes but will be the first to call me or visit me and pretend as if she did not just hurt my feelings.

One of the constant quarrels we always have is that she acts as if we are competitors rather than partners. Many times I tried to correct that impression, but still the same, she competes with me in everything, which I do not like. It kills the joy of the relationship, but to her she thinks it will ignite the sparks in the relationship. Which man wants to compete with his wife-to-be at all times.

She is the Me Me type. It must always be her way or she will sulk for some time. She always say she is The WOMAN so it is one of my responsibilities to make her happy at all times, irrespective of my own feelings and emotions at that particular moment. Which I have refused to oblige!

She is very accommodating, forgiving & giving as well!

She thinks I don't love her enough or I am not proud of her, because we don't act like those couples in Zee World & Telemundo movies.

She has tried by all means to force me to tell her how much I love her; but I keep telling her there are things you just can't force people to tell you if you want them to be honest with you. Their actions prove to you how much they love you and at the right time they will be the ones to willingly call you and tell you how much you mean to them. By forcing them to tell you, they might tell you what you want to always hear, but their hearts are far from the truth. But Madam no wan hear word!

Meanwhile she has never told me how much she loves me! Because it is not lady like according to her.

I stutter a little bit and she always make fun of it, which I least expected her to! I have communicated that to her but she still does all in the name that she is playing with me. None of my girlfriends ever did that! None even in anger! None did so! She is the first! And she would be wife! [b]And it still shocks me whenever she does that![/b]And it hurts badly! And I don't want to react in anger!

Now we are having issue, instead of planning our wedding we are at cold war. Though she tries all the time to reach out in love, but I constantly find it very hard to pretend that all is well!

I need to let go! Like her at all times, but it is very very difficult for me. How do I let Go?

There is the need to intercede for this nation because of the so many battles she has been facing of recent. But we Christians have not been praying for this country as we should.
It is therefore good to focus our prayer more on Nigeria today because it is our Jerusalem. Our weapons are definitely not canal, we should battle right from the spiritual because this our year of resounding victory. The warfare is raging and we must not be ignorant of the devices of anti Christ.
Don't fold your hands and never feel unconcerned. In your own little way call upon Him and He will answer us and speedily too in Jesus' Name.
He will restore Nigeria a blessed nation above all other nations again as He meant it to be and make her a nation of first choice in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

The Almighty God will help you carry your burdens from now on and will end the era of sufferings in your life permanently. What God have for you this year, is meant for you alone, it can't be stolen, it can't be borrowed and it can't be duplicated, it shall be yours permanently. When Andrew heard John the Baptist speak about Jesus being the Lamb of God, he went to his family and shared the good news with his brother Simon Peter. He did not only tell him about Jesus, but brought him to Jesus.
How has your knowing our Lord Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour affected other members of your family? Have you been able to share the good news with them and ensure their own salvation? What about your friends, acquaintances and neighbours? Do not give up on anyone that seems to resist the word of God but keep praying for the Salvation of such a one. Andrew said to his brother Simon Peter, "We have found the Messiah....." In John 1 44-45, after Jesus had found Philip, Philip found Nathaniel and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.’’ Seek to bring others to Him and it shall be well with you. Pray that the Lord will empower you to preach the gospel to the nations. (Mathew 28:19-20)

The Lord Himself created times and seasons and He had plans and purposes for various seasons. This is a new season, the beginning of a new year for His Children. Hold on to the word of God as you believe that He will surely do a new thing in your life and that thing will spring forth and you will certainly know it. He will make a way in the wilderness and will cause rivers to spring forth in the deserts of your life.
Declare with excitement that this is a year of new hapennings in your life. The Lord is mindful of you, He has not forgotten you. He will walk with you as you daily yield your life to Him.
Pray that like the children of Issachar, you will know the various seasons and what you ought to do (1 Chronicles 12:32). Pray to stay close to God this year and hear Him when He speaks to you, guiding you to what you ought to do.

The birth of our Lord Jesus Christ was prophesied severally in the scriptures. In today's text, we read that Herod's action was prophesied by Jeremiah the prophet (Jeremiah 31:15)
There are still many prophecies that are yet to be fulfilled. It is wisdom to study prophecies from the word of God and to watch the times.
Our Lord Jesus Christ warned that the time of His coming will be as it was in the days of Noah when people were marrying and being given in marriage and it did not seem as if there was an impending danger. Also in the days of Lot, things went on normally until Lot went out of Sodom and it rained fire and brimstone and there was great destruction. The Lord warned us to watch so that when He comes, He won't find us sleeping. (Mark 13:35-36).
Pay heed to prophecy and don't lose out. May your spirit be quickened in this area all the time to know that there is an impending doom to them that will not hear and believe the word of God. May the peace of God be your portion in today and forever more, Amen.

The Parable of the Widow and the Judge.

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to teach them that they should always pray and never become discouraged. 2 “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected people. 3 And there was a widow in that same town who kept coming to him and pleading for her rights, saying, ‘Help me against my opponent!’ 4 For a long time the judge refused to act, but at last he said to himself, ‘Even though I don't fear God or respect people, 5 yet because of all the trouble this widow is giving me, I will see to it that she gets her rights. If I don't, she will keep on coming and finally wear me out!’”

6 And the Lord continued, “Listen to what that corrupt judge said. 7 Now, will God not judge in favor of his own people who cry to him day and night for help? Will he be slow to help them? 8 I tell you, he will judge in their favor and do it quickly. But will the Son of Man find faith on earth when he comes?”

This year calls for much prayer. There has to be an increase in your prayer life as compared to last year. You should keep praying about your desires and not give up until the answer comes. Don't forget the fact that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much (James 5:16). Be diligent in your prayer life this year and be determined to keep times of prayer with the Lord. If the unrighteous judge could harking to the persistent cry of the woman, God will certainly Harken to your persistent prayer. When the answer does not come immediately, do not be discouraged, for the delay to your prayer being answered does not mean denial. Keep knocking at the door and it shall be opened unto you.
May the Lord find you still believing that He is the Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Continue in prayer and pray without ceasing. Pray for an effective prayer life this year. Live with a continuous attitude of prayer, worship and thanksgiving. You will find rest, in Jesus' name.

So Abraham departed as the Lord has spoken to him, and Lot went with him ......(Genesis 12:4)
When God directed Abraham to leave his people and move to where He would show him (Genesis 12:1-3, Genesis 12: 6-7), he took his nephew, Lot, along with him. We do not see in the scriptures where God told him to go with Lot. There came a time that the land was not able to bear them because their substances were great and they could not dwell together and so had to separate (Genesis 13:5-12). It was when Lot was separated from Abraham that the Lord told Abraham to lift up his eyes and see the blessings He has for him. Is there a Lot in your life hindering you or hindering the Lord from performing that which He has promised you? Your Lot may not be a human being; it may be a vice in your life: smoking, drunkenness, womanising, cheating, lying, anger, stealing, backbiting etc.
Examine your life and see that thing or person that you need to separate from so that the blessings of God for you this year will be made manifest in your life. May God empower you to live a victorious life this year in Jesus name. Amen.

The word GAMBLE means ‘to risk something of value on an outcome that depends on chance’
Other related activities to gambling are betting, lotto/lottery, gaming, casinos,’money doubling’ and ‘get rich quick’ programmes, among others.
Because the outcomes of these activities ‘depend on chance’ and doing them involves ‘risk’ then, by defition, they are all gambling. Although, the Bible does not specifically condemn gambling, betting, or the lottery, it does warn us, however, to stay away from the love of money. 1Tim 6:10; Heb13:5. Scripture also encourages us to stay away from attempts to ‘get rich quick’ Proverbs 13:11; Proverbs 23:5; Eccl 5:10.
Gambling most definitely is focused on the love of money and undeniably tempts people with the promise of quick and easy riches. Jesus warns us against letting riches get in the way of our spiritual benefit. Mark4:19; Mark 10:25 and that we cannot serve both God and money’ Luke16:13



Instances Of Gambling In The Bible.
Staking of riddle or casting lot was found in the Bible:
I. Samson staked a riddle for a thirty change of garment. Judges14:12-13
II. The soldiers cast lot over the garment of Jesus. John19:24
III. Casting lot was used as option to select between the sacrificial goat and the scape goat. Lev16:8
IV. Joshua cast lot to determine the allotment of land to various tribes. Joshua18:10;
V. Nehemiah cast lot to determine who will live inside the wall of Jerusalem. Acts1:26.
VI. Although people cast lot to take decision but best decisions are those taken by the Lord or guided by the Holy Spirit
VII. The lot is cast into the lap, but the decision is wholly of the Lord. Even the events that seem accidental are really ordered by the Lord. Prov.16:33
VIII. Lot casting here is not synonymous to testing of luck or to gain material wealth
IX. Lot casting has to do with making a decision from alternative from the biblical perspective and not for ‘luck’ or chance or to make quick money. The Bible message says. ‘Make your motions and cast your votes, but God has the final say’. Prov.16:33



Reasons For Gambling And Its Consequences.
I. Love of money
People test their luck with numbers to get money. However, such hopes are mostly empty. Eccl 5:10-15
II. Covetousness for material gains or what money can buy. Many gamblers and lottery players are deep in material gains which God forbids. Exod 20:17; 1 Tim 6:10
III. Those who engage in get-rich quick schemes stand the risk of losing everything. ‘Do not set your eyes on that which is not real, riches certainly make themselves wings and fly away. Prov 3:5
IV. Studies show that many lottery winners ended up in worse financial situation after the jackpot. Apostle Paul wrote ‘And they pieced themselves through with many sorrows. 1Tim 6:10
V. Those who are desperate of getting rich quickly believe that they will always win. 1Tim 6:9; Prov 1:32. ‘…. Drowned men in destruction and perdition’ 1 Tim 6:9.



Biblical Counsel For Believers.
I. God wants His people to prosper Ps 35:27; 3 John 2 and to earn their money honestly by working hard. [2Thess3:10]. We ought to gain wealth through diligence, as a gift from the Lord. ‘ Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth’’ Prov.10:4
II. Jesus teaches, No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. Luke 16:13. Do not join the multitude to do evil. Exo 23:2
III. In 1 Tim 6:10, we find the famous warning that love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. Proceeds from gambling/lottery/betting do not please God- Prov 13:11. God is soverign and will provide for the needs of the Church through honest means
IV. Money and material wealth should not be the primary pursuit of a believer; rather, it should be the kingdom of God and righteousness. Matt 6:33
V. Money should not be wasted. Excess money should be saved for future needs or given to the needy and the Lord’s work, not gambled away. Prov 19:17; Ex 35:5



Do not gamble your money, materials and life.
