Good morning people, pls I av already booked my date for biometrics but I realized I wud need the premium lounge ,is it still possible to pay and get it when I go for biometrics or it has to be online

At Ikeja TLS, there is queue. People who booked for premium service queue uptill they get into the compound before they are seperated. The premium lounge will then go in witout further queue. That was my experience 2 weeks ago.
My mum went for biometrics for visit visa. Apart for payment for premium lounge, she paid a seperate fee for assisted service, so they are seperate payment. Check on their website to confirm.
My advice: Once you get to Ikeja, if that is your choice, don't join the queue but find ur way through the sides to the gate and explain to the security on duty or personnel checking in people that you can't stand as you have a leg sprain and that you paid for premium service. Get there like 10 mins to your appointment time.

And yes, you can pay for premium service at the gate or better still online before the date. Go with evidence of payment. You can also consider courier delivery of passport due to your leg which goes for 8k. This you can pay for once you get inside.

I did the paper form of police clearance. There was no request for NIN and the certificate is valid.

My aunty applied for visit visa. In answer to question to Is this your first passport, she said yes. According to her, she forgot completely about an old passport she had years before. At the end of the day, her visa was not only denied, but she was banned. Some errors are genuine, if possible, we try to make amends by explaining in the space for any other information. But overall, it's better to keep it clean and be truthful.

Its not every institution that the registrar accepts to endorse it for production. She has to beg those in exams and records in order to smuggle it out.

Haba bros!!! You dey work for UKVI? How can you ask him to cancel his application just for a simple NO as against yes? Don’t you think UKVI will see it as an honest mistake considering the fact he still submitted the passports that bear his travel stamps?

I don't work with UKVI but I made same mistake when I was asked if I have been to UK in the past 10 years. I said no in error while it should have been yes.
I noticed some days to my biometric days and my agent adviced I cancel the application and re-book.

It just to be careful as visa has been denied based on questions of if you have any other passport and you say no instead of yes. So, I come in peace. That's why I said if possible, but if not, let's prayerfully await good response. I adviced based on my own experience.

Yes, it will be regarded as untrue. If possible, cancel the appointment if you haven't done the biometrics and re-book. The visa fee will be refunded after 28:days

Thanks for the feedback. The woman at Alagbon is saying that embassies are rejecting the new PCC because it doesn't carry biometric details like the old one.

Please how true is this?

She's trying to convince me to capture and thumbprint the old way since my registration in the portal hasn't reflected on their end.
I'm confused.

Well, I don't know about rejection but I was advised to do the old one and that's what I did.
Was told they are the same.

Please i need guidance on how i can convince the Nigerian institution i graduated from that i should be handed my transcript so i can uploaed it on ecctis platform as requested. The school official in charge of transcript had said they don't issue transcript to students, that can only be mailed to the body requesting it. I cannot download it from the school's portal and i need a signed copy for myself.

Please anyone with ideas on how i can make my school issue an official copy to me.

Use the address of an office you know very well. Address it to HR and retrieve when it is sent there. You scan and have a copy while you send to wherever it is required

I didn't do anything online. Just filled the paper form with my information, did the fingerprint impression and signed off after which the official signed off on the clearance.
I heard all clearance carry alagbon since that is where the criminal records is domiciled.

3 months.

I did a fresh Police Clearance certificate today at Alagbon for N45k. The expired one cost N7k. It's unbelievable. Got it within an hour though. Was told the official cost is N30k with long process.

Good day everyone. Please I need clarity:
I am applying for a tier 2 visa with husband and children as dependent. I had a previous UK Visa in 2014 in which I stayed for just 9 days. The only but was that in my 2014 application, I wrote the wrong year of birth for hubby even though he did not have a passport then and didn't follow me on that trip. In the space for other given name for him, I didn't write his previous name that was changed due to adoption earlier while young.
How do I remedy the situation?
I am about to apply for my visa and I am thinking it is better I declare those information in the space below for any other information. Please house, I need advise.

While i was filling the application form. On this section, If I pick YES it will ask me to enter dependant information including their International Passport number. Without intl passport number it wont go to next stage.
I have wife and 1 kid. But there passports is not even near ready neither are they going with me.

You may not need the contact. Just go to alagbon and you will meet police officers in multi all over the road leading to the office. Tell them what you need and be ready to bargain for it. I did mine for N7k but some paid 5k. Just do strong face that someone you know did for a certain amount (negotiate)
Also go with 2 passport photos.

Please for those of us who have received visa and applied with dependents, how much is required as POF for a family of 5.

And is consent letter required for the children if traveling same time as the main applicant?

You can do a screenshot of the result in the test taker portal and send pending the receipt of the physical result to be sent by British council. It's always better to deliver to your address or a trusted establishment where you can retrieve and scan to your employer.

No, the qualifications, if any, is on your CV. The items you listed above are the needed items to submit at biometric centre.

I depend and trust the information I get on this tread. I go through recent post and I see a lot of reoccurring questions that have been dealt with and thoroughly answered in past pages.
Pls my advice is that for newbies, do take time to read from the first page. It is worth it.
For folks asking about IELST, it is IELTS for UkVI that is accepted for this work path. You can then decide if it's IELTS UKVI general or acedemic, depending on you. It is different from IELTS academic or general. The difference is that the recommended format result contains a ukvi code.

Pls let's read so as not to discourage our gurus from answering relevant questions.

I want to know if salary irregularities have any effect on visa approval for UK... For example, in my case, my salary per month is paid like the middle of the next month. (that is.. between 10 th and 22nd).

Also my salary varies per month as I'm paid per day (ranges btween 156,000 and 180,000)

I plan to submit statement for 3 months and provide pay slip as well as letter of employment.
Please, can anyone confirm if these irregularities will affect my application.
