Sunlight exposure causes the optic nerve to signal the pituitary glad to release more melanin, and that's exactly what happens when you are in Naija( too much sun, kai). Most pple tend to be dark, buh their skin tone tends to change once they leave the shores of Africa.When pple migrate to Europe and east into Asia, they are exposed to different amounts of sun. There, you find your dark skin working against you,preventing you from absorbing enough sunlight to create vitamin D. To adapt, your body start producing less melanin, hence lighter skin.
The above was exactly what happened to me, and threw my cousins into midnight gossips.

I wish you could see this one thing, that there is no football reason more important than discipline. One can be efficient without being effective. A coach knows what he wants! We have heard from both. Coach says he does not want him for this very tournament. Player says (1) I am the best I deserve to be there (2) Coach disrespected me (3) team lacks captainship (3) ...

Kesh is not nuts, he has been a leader right from playing days. Must a child call his kinsmen to complain and insult family elders because his dad refused to take him along to one outing? That is not maturity!

It's obvious Osaze has accumulated anger which would have busted in camp ones substituted in a game!

No matter the angle we look at it, Osaze's outburst is unnecessary. Let's teach our children not only intelligence but also character values. In 2004 AFCON, there were players who were dropped while Osaze was taken. None of the dropped players twitted.

Take Osaze to 2013 AFCON, he'll rock the boat! With this attitude, no disciplined coach will take him to camp (a caution against disunity). What actually is this Osaze's pride? Rufia and Olofinjana were well educated while playing for Nigeria. We have players who have been there before and proved themselves time and time again. Can his so called commitment match that of Aghahowa's, Amokachi's or Amuneke's? When Amokachi was being played instead of Siasia, heaven's did not fall. How did Emenalo make the USA 94 team? Remember he wasn't even invited in the first place. Equaveon captained Nigeria in the '94 AFCON finals when Eagles beat Zambia. Can someone still remember what happened when our team was presented with the cup? Equaveon humbly handed it over to Keshi! What a humble attitude!! It speaks of unity and selflessness in camp.
Now that Martins is about to be invited (by mother providence), this will teach not only Osaze, but all of us, that that arrogance is only but a loss while and humility (and patience) is gain, a virtue, a finer ornament.

Even if our poor-rated team comes back home after the first round, many Nigerians will still be proud of them. Unknown to some people, Keshi has just scored a great point!

Our beloved Osaze has fallen our hands, again!

In my professional career so far, I have learned that you can have all the skills in the world, but if you lack discipline, if you are the type that brings divisibility in the team, then comes failure quickly. Would Osaze take it cool when he is substituted, like IK Uche does? No! He would grumble and mumble to let us know that he's better and doesn't deserve to be changed.
A coach makes stars out of unknown names. Let's leave Keshi alone to work. If he does well with the local lads, then there comes our special one! Zambia reckoned without a certain unknown Amuneke in the opponents camp at the 1994 AFCON finals! And they paid dearly for it!!

Remember USA 94? Ikpeba was dropped (Klinsman, his strike partner in Monaco was shocked!). Kanu, who was doing fine at Ajax then, was also not taken. But in 1996? They won Gold in Olympics!

Do we still remember Julius Aghahowa's commitment to the National team (watch Senegal vs Nigeria 2000 AFCON)? Can someone remind Osaze of Alloy Agu who lost his tooth while playing for Nigeria. Amokachi who shed 'blood and sweat' for Nigeria. Let someone remind Osaze about one Kanu who played for Nigeria at '96 Olympics even with a hole in his heart. A certain Yekini who never missed a penalty for Nigeria. Amuneke whose runs from the left flanks left our opponents in awe and disarray. J.J who held sway in the middle carrying the whole Nigerian populace on his strained shoulders. A certain Odegbami who played for Nigeria with all zeal when there was little or no reward, ...

doctorjohn: Please permit me to use this medium to let nigerians know how unreliable our banks are. I have a domicilliary account wit first bank nigeria at owerri douglas road branch. I transfer some money for some business transactions on friday 16th on this month . Since then the money has not gotten to the recipient.
My problem is the local first bank claims the transaction has been forwarded to there head office which assured them that the have transfered it. The recipient bank said they haven't received any funds to that effect nor is there any pending transaction wit regards to the bank account..
First bank refuses to give me the transaction details and keeps telling me everyday that it will reflect on the account anyday.
My business partner now looks at me as dupe having not received his money.
First bank has no answers for the reasons why the money hasn't reflected.
Am really in deep fried first bank shit.
Please cross-check the details you gave to the bank: recipient’s Routing/IBAN N0, account N0/name, bank name/address. Something may be missing from the info you gave! Check these things and also ask the recipient to confirm the details he gave you.
I feel your frustration, as I've had similar issue with another bank. But I use First bank, and I don't think their service is all this bad. They have been very supportive even on phone. My branch in Aguda has always been so swift doing my transactions.
Why not do your things online? Go to any First bank branch and activate your online banking, and you can do all your transactions (locally/internationally) from your bed room. It’s safe and secure with your token.

First remove the plank in your eyes so you can see well to remove the one in your bros eyes. The life style of most of us here may not be better than the Pastors we are all condemning. Many here have never visited the prisons, orphanages or destitute homes to at least lend them hope for 15 minutes. Yet we are quick to judge where the doer of deeds should have done better!

This change must start from within each of us, to the family, to our very environments/community and our places of work, then to our nation.

Let's pause and check ourselves now. If we can change individually, we can change as a nation.

ZENICA, Bosnia-Herzegovina (AP) — A soccer match between Muslim imams and Catholic priests has helped raise funds for a new kindergarten in Bosnia.

More than 4,000 people paid 1 euro ($1.30) to watch the game in the central town of Zenica on Wednesday night, cheering "Bosnia, Bosnia" and celebrating whoever scored.

The Catholics won 5-3.

The match, organized by Bosnia's Inter-religious Committee, was played by priests of the Bosnian Franciscan order and Muslim imams, said Priest Fra Zdravko Andjic. His good friend, Imam Jakub Salkica, said both sides got along well, but joked that shouldn't raise suspicions about match fixing.

Nearly two decades ago, more than 100,000 people died in this country in a war that involved Muslim Bosniaks, Christian Orthodox Serbs and Catholic Croats.

But the interesting thing is that the story of my yesterday (when we were only friends) has strengthened our marriage today, even during trials. Sometimes she wakes me up at night and call up one event of yesterday and we'll cry and also laugh and praise God together for every second chance, grace and restoration. And we feel strong in Faith to move on!
Sometimes we may not know why a friend has remained there all the while. Just free yourself first! And think about it. Then PRAY about it.

@ chiebube, your accusation here makes no sense! You want him to spend his hard earned money to send you a car only for you to reject it and tie his money down? Imagine your reasoning? You think only about yourself! What if this man has no bad intentions, and only protecting his business? And you have already gone on this forum to condemn him! Why not get yourself a Sienna van in Lagos? You can even get it cheaper than N1.25m! I don't know this man you are slamming here (who has done you no wrong) neither am I defending any scam, but it hurts me when innocent and genuine people are defamed by the shallow minds who thrive in judging and condemning others!
