This issue again? While we're at it why don't we use our real names too,surnames included The whole point of being free to use whatever name you like and whichever picture you like is anonymity. You don't know who's going to do what with your info,unless you're saying you trust everybody here.word! think many people don't have their pics on here because of immature and snide remarks from other nairaland members, if anonymity is the only excuse then check out hi5 and facebook,who have millions in membership yet almost everybody don't just have pictures but people make it a competition to upload as much pictures on their profile as possible, i had my picture on before but removed it because of some people trying to score cheap points by making snide remarks about my pic and as far as im on here i definitely am not having my pic on.that too and the fact that someone saved my pic and presented to someone as his girlfriend's pic. . . .besides lots of pervs and weirdos on this site. and above all, do whateva u're comfortable with. |

There are amicable marriage breakups and there are bad marriage dissolutions. And then there's the one that took place in Belgrade this week. Branko Zivkov and his wife Vukadinka were married for 45 years before the two developed problems in their relationship and decided to part. Everything was going along fine until the 76-year-old soon-to-be ex-husband got a demand from his spouse's lawyers that drove him into a fury. He claims he was willing to split almost everything they had 50-50, until she insisted he hand over her half of his farming equipment. So with a fury that could only come out of a love long lost, Zivkov decided to give his wife exactly what she asked for. He went to the store, bought a grinder and spent the entire day literally cutting every tool he owned into two separates pieces so he could fulfill his wife's desire to have 'half.' He managed to split his cattle scales, a harrow and a sowing machine in two, but paused for a moment when it came to something else of value on his farm. "I still haven't decided how to split the cow," he told a local newspaper. "She should just say what she wants -- the part with the horns or the part with the tail." @poster, I have skooled in both places but it is never a comparison. U can't compare ur certification of UK to that of China. Even when u graduate and need a Job, the employer will first of all consider the person with a UK certificate before that of China. China might be cheep, Yes! . . . .but u are limited. If u live there for a thousand years, got married to a chinko girl and have kids, u will never become a citizen . . .u still have to go thru the hassles of renewing ur visa from time to time . . . They still cannot handle their population, limited to only one kid per household. But with UK, u can get married, ur employer might decide to sponsor u and u are granted landed immigrant after which u can become a citizen. Secondly, the language is a HUGE barrier. I schooled at an International university in Beijing which harbours a lot of foreigners, U school in the daytime and get paid really good morning to teach english at night. Lots of companies there need english teachers to teach company employees, wealthy pple's kids etc. and they really wanna learn. But I ran away after 5months. The pple keep staring at me like I was some kinda mini godess, when u go buy stuffs u need an interpreter to go with u if not . . . u'll be cheated big time, besides, u are not all that exposed to anything and their laws are very strict. and oh. . . I forgot to mention that everything is sooooooooooooooooo darn CHEAP in China and China has everything and anything. I shopped till I dropped. I hope this helped. The choice is all yours |
