Don't mind them. They expect us to leave our family and spend the money on them. Thats how my ex disturb me for 10k to block a course in school. I told her I don't have such money but will give her 4k and she refused. She tag me as uncaring guy and being stingy. I simply called my young brother in school and immediately transfer 5k to his account from my phone. He thank me and was so happy. I told her the money she rejected has put smile on someone else face.

She refused paying me visit for 2weeks but when she came the 3rd week, another woman has taken her place...

Don't you watch foreign movies. First date is not an opportunity to quench your hunger or eat what you ve dreams to eat for years. It's a time to know each other and talk. A soft drink and snack is very ok for a first date. Most Nigerian girls abuse first date. They take it as an opportunity to eat and eat and eat... that is a poverty mentality.

I don't need to wait to ve a full pocket to ask a girl out. Even if I ve 500 naira, I will still asked her out.

Your comment is dull I am not an Engineer but I know enough about those things. The Chief Executive of almost every hospital in the UK is not a doctor and they do OK. The job of a Minister is political only dull people fail to grasp that key point. He is basically the President's rep and unless we are saying the president needs to be an Engineer that logic is absurd. Most times all I do is read comments but seeing this wayward post, it's high time I say something.

Most naija ladies have taken dates to be an Avenue to feast. Going on a first time date is a chance where the guy and the gurl try to gain acquaintances (know each other more), its in his choice to offer anything, maybe coffee, ice cream or chin-chin sef just to make sure the lady is not gonna get bored or at least enjoy the chit chat.

It's very annoying and out of the traditional way for ladies to be expecting chicken lap or full chicken option on a first date........most of them watch American movies o. White guys ask a gurl out by saying 'let's go have a drink or coffee or stuffs.

Ordering expensive food is just an act of trying to impress the gurl which is a 'fail' in first date rule. (Never go out of your way to impress a lady), but our naija ladies take it as a norm.

Thank God for your life OP & every one who have shared close experience. Just like someone mentioned some deaths in Nigeria are actually man-made ranging from poor roads, inadequate security, poor infrastructures & facilities all rapidly aiding 1000ways one could die in a day.
I have also experienced several minor road accidents & it has been God all through but the closest experience I had was just a year yesterday during the presidential election. How God used 2 villagers to help me escape from the hands of some angry youths who stormed the polling unit with guns (because we arrived late at our polling unit & they concluded we had reasoned with a politician & collected money to rig the result before arriving) just makes me shudder each time I remember the experience & to think the police officers who were to act as our security personnel fled even before the other corpers & APO III could find their feet.
This life is all vanity indeed. May God give us the grace to positively maximise the little time we all have here on earth & preserve our lives from untimely evil.

When one is close to death, that's when you know there is nothing in this life.

I ve choose to make my life be an impact to others.
