Reason...The use of 'an' comes up when d next word after 'an' starts with a vowel. However, the case of the word 'honest' is an exception because phonetically in english,the word honest is pronounced as 'onest'. The H is silent technically making a vowel the it's first letter in terms of pronunciation.
Note: but the H must be there when written.

Another example is 'HEIR', the H is silent when pronounced, and becos d next letter after H is a vowel, the appropriate one to use shld be 'an' dats based on my earlier explanation.

For me, ur friends had a point in saying you should have returned home after that accident. I found out personally that jobs that come after such ill luck or mishaps are not for you. I got a juicy one too after armed robbers attacked my bus on my way for a test. After 4 months on the job, I quit. Wasted effort, money and time travelling etc.

Good is faithful. I left the place the following day and packed 2weeks later. The guyz came to check for me days after but I ve moved to school hostel.

My near death experience occurred to me in my final year as an undergraduate in the ever popular Ekosodin @ UNIBEN. It was a nightmare that still remain fresh in my memory till date. It almost had a psychological effect on me.


I was attacked by 6 hefty boys by 1am. After robbing the other occupant of the hostel, they came to my room that is well protected with double iron gate. They knocked and I refused to open because I know they can't gain entrance to my room. I was with my side chick that night. They shouted in anger... Open the door or you die... I hide my laptops, phones and other electronic gadgets with me including that of the babe and money. she started crying... please open the door for them. As a stubborn guy I refused. I though they will knock and leave thereafter...

The became angry because I refused to open the door. They brough out their axe and destroyed my glasses. That wasn't enough, they started hitting my window protector with their axe... they said since I refused to open, they will break the protector to meet me. I became cold. What should I do? The babe has melted already leaving me to brainstorm ideas to savage the situation... They continue to hit the protector harder and the protector became weak...

This time they said " we must kill you when we come inside". I was so cold. It was between life and death. I though of escaping through the ceiling but what will now happen to the babe. My head was just generating ideas every seconds. I went closer to the window protector and use brain to collect the axe from them because the axe hooked to the protector as they hit. I drag the axe inside my room. They were handicap. They brought out an iron rod to hit the protector so it can fall, I then connected light to the protector. One of them said " we must kill this boy", he is too stubborn. This guy must die... they said. I was just think how it will be if they finally succeeded in breaking the protector. I saw weeping and applying brain. I was too late to open the door.

I never knew they came with a gun. Immediately they brough it out, nepa took the light. God of heaven I said... I was sweating like someone in a battle field. I ran out of ideas because they were not interested in robbing again but after my life. They brought out their touch light. As they began to find the next possible step to break into my room, a gun shoot came from somewhere close. They became afraid. I saw it on their faces. They asked themselves who shut the gun but no one could explain. 5mins later, another gun shoot came and they all ran. I almost collapsed. I thought my end has come. My babe has slept off on the floor sweating bitterly. I woke her up and she cried till dawn.

The experience affected me psychologically for months before I gain my balance. God was the ultimate reason I escaped that mysterious robbing attack. I thank God for saving me till date... Baba Ose

I applied for the position of an accountant in ur organisation and the interview is slated on 25th of march which is tomorrow . but I'm in a state of dilemma whether to honour the invite or not . when I called a friend of mine who domiciled in Benin, he said Inter arc limited is a rubbish company ,that your organisation collected 1500 from him up till date he has been calling but ur organisation kept telling him to wait. Hmmmm... I am a multi- business person.

I run a tutorial for JAMB/ SSCE classes. I contract private lessons to my tutors and have like 5 I am handling each of like 30 to 40k. I run a business centre n exams registration simultaneously with the tutorial classes. Into graphic design as well.

The best way to overcome unemployment after school is to develop an entrepreneurship mind set as an undergraduate.


During service I keep telling my friends there is no job out there. I prepared for the worst situation. I the last 3months of my service, I began to find out possible things I can do to earn me income and also have my time. I never put my hopes on the good result I have or on my good grades. I asked myself, what can I do without using my result or nysc certificate? That's when I began to get a clear revelation.

I am now an employer of myself. I get money to pay my bills and start a new life outside the family and even pay the bills of my younger ones. If a bank should call me today to pay me 90k, I won't go or even take it as a favour because I enjoy what I do and it is also paying my bills.

I gym in the morning to build up myself before going for business of the day. I can decide to reschedule my appointments @ my own will. I have time to eat good food & even hand-out with some of my girlfriends.

I keep focusing on my business line till I get a federal job.

Inter-arc recruiting firm is pure scam. Do not patronise them. They are only after your money and not your interest in the job. They don't even have job to give out...


Even the manager of the firm is looking for job. When you hear about them, please run for your safety.

I have been living very fine. I ve been sustaining with my hidden potentials I discovered that is now fetching me money and also having time for myself. By God's Grace that hidden potentials is earning me about 70 - 80k per month. It keep increasing with time. I left my parents house to start my life 3months after and it has been going fine but not easy. There re lots of challenges which is normal about life.


I ve stopped applying for jobs online. I don't believe it works. It get one de-stabilised and unsettled. Jobs of such nature can hardly pay more than 60k and then use my life to their advantage. The day I sat on my bed and concluded there is no job out there, I started discovering ways to make money. When the real job comes, it will locate me where ever I am... before then, let me continue to use my potentials to keep my life moving. Time wait for no man.

Until we stop having the mentality that we didn't go to school to start looking for jobs, graduates will continue to become a peasant before employers.

Since I stopped applying for jobs, I started discovering more about my hidden potentials.

Your salary is 80k and you live in an apartment of 400k per year. You will keep on paying landlord for the rest of your life. 400/80 =5. So you use 5 good months salary to pay for your house rent? You score 243 in jamb and your are here screening as fit you are the highest in the exams in Nigeria.

My cousin scored 248 in her jamb and she cried all day because she said the questions was too simple for her to score such low. She prepared for something very high. She loss her appetite for 2days because of her score before we finally comforted her to relax.

My younger brother score 291 in his exams and he didn't brag like you. He prepared lile he wanted to score 400 but fell @ 291. He still complain jamb robbed him in his physic. I will upload the result for you to shut up and hid your dull Brian.

When intelligent guyz are talking, just keep shut. People like you end up having problem in universities because you think you know it all. If you take this attitude to the university, that is if you will gain admission, you will so regret your life after 5years.

You have no right to challenge what people feel about their result. Just pray you weren't affected by circumstances.

Nobody has scored less than 250 in jamb in my house but we don't make noise. I urge you to think and make good use of your head.
