I only hope Nigerians don't make the mistake of 2015 where an incompetent president was replaced with an incompetenter president.

Buhari and Atiku are two sides of the same corroded worthless coin.

Support one of the vibrant, progressive and ideas-laden men.

Personally, I lean towards and stand with Sowore because of his direct, intelligent and socialist views. The ideology is clear, people-oriented and sustainable.

The argument that the young technocrats won't win is only a prediction. The fact on ground remains that Atiku might work for the masses. He might also work for himself and his cronies. I'll try to ignore the statement that he made concerning selling off the NNPC.

We have seen who Buhari is working for and we aren't in that category, at least, I'm not.

There's an unequivocal certainty about whom the young technocrats will be working for.

Another angle is the fact that the young men will be subject to the judiciary as compared to what obtains with these old senile overlords we call leaders.

So, let's focus on what's the most important now and support the cause.

Easy for you to say. Maybe because you have never received death threats before, I have and I would not be quick to say stuff like that .
Fine, there was some logistics malfunction, whose fault? For me and my colleagues we will forever curse NASS for delaying and cutting down our budget. All these loop holes ARE because of that. As far back as January when THE CVR exercise started we had submitted our budget proposal of what we needed to do. What happened? There was outcry on why Inec would be given such amount of money. Blah blah blah. To cut the long story short, we told them we need the money to procure our materials, did they give us? Hell no! So what should we do afterall Inec is not a revenue generating commission like NNPC so we had to wait. The NASS were just bothered about the budget padding exposure and since they could not get what they wanted delayed the budget till October before approval November. We had barely two months to put things but We still tried our best. From November till now none of had a holiday or even went on one, all leaves in December were cancelled because we had to keep with the deadline so as not to disappoint Nigerians who as usual always look for whom to blame for even having headache. Now they are protesting the elections has been postponed for just a week, like seriously! Why didn't Nigerians protest when the budget was delayed? My Chairman was in a fix, but because it is an old commission with an old foundation, we knew we had to deliver. Ok after everything what next, we requested for support in delivery, the same Nigerians protested against it saying we want to work with the military in transporting materials. Blah blah. In our budget provisions were made for speed boats and helicopters but no...... The same Nigerians will question why Inec needs the money. Blah blah . Let go to security. The same Nigerians will say they want to know when we transport the sensitive materials and they are the same ones that will attack my colleagues and I when doing it. Ok. You are angry that your day is spoilt, I was up 3am sorting materials making sure that they will get to their destination. I can't Remember when last I slept for 6 hours. All my Sundays have been taken and you are angry for a week extension. With all this stress how much am i paid? I know it is not 13.5 million compared to what a law maker is earning for sitting on a chair. Have you ever sat on a canoe for 4 hrs just to transport materials from one creek to another in places that are waterlogged? No. Have you ever climbed a donkey in Mambilla just to transport materials over the hills? No . I Have. So I tell you that you cannot be more frustrated than I, but because it is my job I respect the decision extract made by the head office done by our chairman and 12 national commissioners represent each zone in the country. You do not what we go through to see how this exercise is carried which is why when some of you blab on the social media, I just shake my head and lose respect. Thank God now Nigerians have seen what last minute approvals can do to their well being. What goes around, always come around? It is a chain of events. They delayed the budget out of anger so why are they angry tha the elections are delayed. My dear I too need to catch up on my beauty sleep. 8 really need it. Till next week Saturday. Chao!

A serious government, upon asuming office and making a comprehensive assesment of the situation on ground would have come out to outline the problems and what solutions the experts that they have consulted on the problems that will have to be effected.

When the apartheid government was dissolved in South Africa, they setup their Truth and Reconciliation Committee address the outstanding issues of racial discrimination which was the major problem. It was holistic and comprehensive and the results were clear to see. They hit the ground running and moved on to where they are today. The apartheid regime lasted for over half a century but the government never complained about "centuries of apartheid in south africa". They just addressed the problem, resolved it and charted a new course.

Nigeria's course might require some drastic steps but what must be done must be done. Over time, as the rebuilding project progresses, the success or otherwise vis-a-vis the original plan will be clear for all to see.

The plan can then be periodically reviewed or continued with depending on realities and outcomes.

If, after four years, there's no clear plan to rebuild the damage of the now clichéd "16 yrs of pdp", the greatest insult to the collective sensibilities of the committee of Nigerian technocrats would be to keep resounding the same chorus of a cliché as if, the PDP squeezed themselves in sometime after May 29, 2015 to wreak more havoc.

I think the easiest reason why the ApC has failed so woefully is, amongst other reasons, the now infamous party is heavily populated with the same PDP folks. A case of the proverbial old wine in new wineskin.

So once again, support the young vibrant new force. I think they're all great guys with so much to offer but Sowore seems fearless and very matter-of-fact in his approach which is what Nigeria direly needs right now.

I think, as Nigerians, there is the tendency for people to believe in miracles or magic. This is what I think most who genuinely that Buhari "might" be the answer believed in. Magic.

Asides for the likes of Sowore who are intellectually capable of knowing that, based from history and contemporary times, Buhari should not be close to a leadership position in a local government council. I would place Sowore on that platform as he is very well exposed, educated and for goodness sake, runs an international media firm and hence SHOULD know.

First, asides Buhari's clear antecedents in incompetence and bigotry, anyone who should run a postcolonial African state and democracy in the 21st century should be (1) Educated (2) A Nationalist and (3) A Democrat. Buhari had NONE of this. Sowore, who was able to mysteriously obtain the very private line of Okonjo Iweala, of course must be able to access documents and read clear historical references that showed that Mr Buhari not only failed on these three prerequisites, but will be damaging for Nigeria, West Africa and for Africa, if he ascended to the position of President.

Yet, in a clear display of bad judgement and bad sense of history, he backed him and used his media machinery to back him. And you want Nigerians to overlook this fatal error that has cost lives, millions of jobs and Nigeria's leading role in Africa and West Africa?

History matters.

You guys are funny. That is how people who will declare to bring the blood of dogs and baboons on Nigerians will be elected into office. That is how people who will threaten the international community monitoring elections with death accompanied with bodybags will be elected by a chanting hoarde of Nigerians. I am insisting that, like it is done in sane countries, Sowore should take responsibility for his grave error- an error he has not apologised for, and people here are critiquing this simple process. In the UK, before you are voted in as PM, the media will bring out your voting pattern on voting issues that affected national interest and your general psychology; Iraq War; voting pattern for benefits; voting pattern and comments you have made about climate change, tax, etc. And then people will judge you BASED on your past antecedents. If you have showed a poor sense of judgement or history, be rest assured that you are not coming back into a high office.

That is the same pattern Nigerians must imbibe on persons seeking electoral positions. Actions and inactions must have consequences. If Nigeria is going to be a serious country, emotions or love for a person should be kept aside. Sensible, educated and logical people should drive home this simple fact -it is not about emotions but about taking responsibility for previous action. Leadership business is serious business. All these things I have written here are things, I am sure, Sowore will privately agree with. Because he is a US-resident and he knows how things work in serious countries.

Again, history matters. Taking History serious would have freed us from Buhari in 2015.

Writing this long epistle on behalf of Sowore who is a confessed Buharist and whose Sahara Reporters was a pro-APC mouthpiece is just funny. I’m surprised that this is a question— is that how far in post-truthism Nigeria has gone? He was a Buharist, Atiku too as well, and these guys showed a terrible understanding of history and hence judgement and should stay clear of leadership.

A fundamental benefit of education is the the ability to entertain contrasting arguments and ideas, appreciate constructive criticisms and review ideologies as a result.

There was a time when I felt that, due to the level of corruption in Nigeria at the time that made even corrupt former milads to gasp in shock and start looking like saints, any other government besides that of Goodluck Jonathan would perform better in Nigeria.

At the time, I knew there was a possibility that Buhari might be or not be the answer but there was confidence that the GEJ administration wasn't it. Yes, there were some positive (relative to the current apology of a president in Nigeria today) sides to the GEJ regime but the fundamentals kept getting worse. One very clear example is the railways that the APC are cureently masturbating to. The PDP started plans on it in 2006 but only made counterpart payment in 2012 but by 2015, 9 years later, all four lines remained in the proverbial "pipeline". Intention without action was the bane of that government. And rogues.

Education, power supply, and virtually every other necessary infrastructure suffered similar fates.

Millions of Trump supporters are shocked at the joke that their world renowned presidency has now become. A lot of them stated being fed up with the way Hilary Clinton and her predecessors were instrumental in the undue interference of the US in the affairs of other nations to the foreign countries' detriment. They're now experiencing a paradigm shift.

Today, there's a large swathe of Nigerians who feel the same way about the government in Nigeria and they're doing something about it.

If we won't better the lot of Nigerians, let us (yours truly inclusive) not stand in the way of those poised and determined to.
