I just hope all the presidential candidates will attend the TVC debate this weekend.

I think the most important thing that they did was to inflate the population from 168m to 190m.

Nigeria's population definitely did not increase by about 22m in 5years.

For crying out loud, we have one of the hightest (if not the highest) infant mortality rates in the world.

Whoever typed those figures simply inflated the denominator to 190m so as to reduce the effective resultant percentage not caring about the fact that realities on ground will be different and clear for all to see. Well, they've never cared anyway, except now that they need votes.

On February 17, Sowore whom I think is a breath of innovative socialist fresh air won't win the elections because we think he's inexperienced. And then more of these doctored stats which claim that were doing fine (simply cos THEY are doing great) will keep flooding mediaspace but we'll keep dying avoidable and senseless deaths in our millions annually.

To achieve this, the first and most important step is to search for, learn about, support and vote for a presidential candidate who has proven and demonstrable capacity to face the old guard, articulate and stand his/her ground on sound economic policies.

In Nigeria, a lot of prayers that we pray will never be answered because they're things we can do for ourselves. No God will remove bad leaders when we're the ones electing them in.

I mean, when the government can just wake up and make whatsoever pronouncements they want at every whim and caprice, regardless of what the constitution says, all those steps above will amount to nothing. That's why foreign investors always pull out their hard-earned resources from our economy because they know only too well that our leaders are irredeemably mad.

Either Kingsley Moghalu or Omoyele Sowore have what it takes but, I've got qualms with the former's arrogance. It may even be his greatest undoing if he's not careful.

No one is saying the CJN didn't flout the law concerning asset declaration. He even admitted committing the act. No one iis even saying he shouldn't be punished.

What everyone is saying is this:

There's a law that is based on the constitution that pronounces the action of the CJN as illegal.

The same constitution also describes how the matter should be approached such that any other means becomes illegal.

No one has the right or power to pick what part of the law to obey and what part to ignore.

In 2014/2015, Femi Falana himself fought in courts for Buhari and the APC pro Bono against not-so- dissimilar illegalities. And now this. The reverred legal luminary, like a lot of people who helped to foist this collosal dissapointment of a President, must be suffering from utter regret and mental pain.

Nigerians totally ignored the lawless act committed by the disgraced CJ against them and their constitution, but they are going out of their way to kill the President for doing what they should have done.

Where is the sense and wisdom in allowing such corrupt, lawless and a lawbreaking character with unexplained millions of undeclared dollars in almost a dozen bank accounts remain in office?

We are so desensitized and used to corruption that it doesn't bother us, we even ignore corrupt public officials and instead fight and go after the people we actually pay to fight corruption.

If this is how we truly feel about corruption and criminal acts, then maybe we should just abolish all our law enforcement agencies and save the billions we budget on their behalf every year.

The sacrifice and wisdom of Dr. Oby Ezekwesili and Fela Durotoye is exemplary but personally, I feel this matter should be a 2-horse race between Prof. Moghalu and Sowore. And they should decide on who we should vote for between them asap.
