How often does it consume fuel
It is truly true that is fuel economy.
Becos u bought fuel of N2500, and I took a trip, when coming back I noticed the fuel is close to the End line in my fuel meter.

You can't determine fuel economy on N2500. If you want to talk about it, your parameter are Liter of fuel use and kilometers or miles cover with that liter.
If I will say something, CRV is not that bad except you have issue that is making it consume fuel more than design.

This is September, if the seller want to replace the transmission or not, then by this time OP should already be inform. There is something holding seller.
Let wait for seller to respond to the allegation, because there are two side to a story like this.

Hello my people.
I am in the process of buying a 5-uear Nigerian used Honda pilot 2007.
According to the seller,
1) The AC isn't working, she has spent so much but yet it couldn't be fixed

According to my mechanic
The engine is still very sound
But
1) The Brake master isn't good
2) The shocks absorbers needs replacement
3) Upper ambush* is bad

My observation
1) It requires some body works
2) The pigeon hole ( where documents are being stored) isn't closing
3) The control buttons on the steering wheel isn't working
4) Central lock doesn't lock the driver back door
5) The reverse camera/ display isn't working

With all these, do you think it is a good buy?

Please car experts and/or Honda pilot users should please advise.

Op, Those list of problem mention above are red flag to tell you that seller, who is owner lack maintenance for the pilot. I doubt your mechanic conclusion on engine. My one cent, is don't buy it, because you will regret later. Walk away ! You will get good Honda pilot with little increase in your propose budget.

Mr Dele aka DELTEL, Let me tell you the truth, He is not serious on your issue. The only way to get him serious is by hitting him harder in the area of his access to money in the US either personal or business account belonging to him. His scammer behaviour was as result of feeling that he is untouchable because of distance.
So shake him and let he feel the effect, then he will listen to your demand.

1. If it is petrol engine, then it is under power as per nigerian demand

2. Part availability will be a challenge for now because it is not yet common on the nigeria road

3. Technical knowledge of repair will be difficult, depending on region in nigeria.

Oil is being changed at Honda place. I haven't gone there to complain about this sound cos I want to seek people with the type of sound and what they did first

The plain truth is one of your chain or sprocket ie for oil pump, is having issue. This is caused by wear through oil type used. Last effect of the engine will be total damage of engine, but if early measure is observe now, then it can survive it.

I once took risk to make 4 nos of mobil 1 oil from dru23. It was for me and my client that trust me on car matter. Behold, I paid and the item arrived as schedule from female rep. I love them as it show that it was imported as described. Also my client continued to praise me due to car performance, even my own vehicle performance changed for better.

To add to my Egun Agba, if you activate in a vehicle, it will suck air from inside the vehicle and block external air suction. So if you activate with ac on, then you improve the cooling effect of air in the vehicle.

Op, you seek for help and the truth was told, but you turn it to be hating. Am sorry for you because the second hand value of crv is 800K not to talk of accident but repair version. Your repair will easily be detect by potential buyer. If am buying for my client, na walk away even if price is 500K

Let me just give my 2 kobo of word. Since engine and gear are intact plus many part functioning well, then cut your loss and sell to part seller, then add money to buy your choice car. If you will repair, just continue to use it because selling will not make sense at the end of the day.
