Good morning all. My company wants to sell 2 cars to its staff. A 2008 Kia Rio and a Picanto ( should be from 2013 or higher). The admin guy said that the engine is good. The company only sells its cars when they feel they are spending too much on them. The price for both is 350k.

Which do you advise I go for. I want to assume that everything is bad including engine. Anything that is okay I will take it as a plus. What's the pros and cons of taking the risk and what do you estimate I might spend if the car isn't good. The body is great Sha. What are the pros and cons of a 2008 Kia Kio. This is my first car and I don't have money for Toyota.

Pls I need help, I have a 2007 Honda Civic FD Car was in good condition until i experienced overheating which damaged the engine. I decided not to repair the engine so I got another engine the new engine looked very clean and all components intact and complete the technician that went with me confirmed that engine pressure is perfect, after installation engine refused to start an electrician was called who latter brought another ECU, the new ECU started the engine but the serial number is different from my stock ECU. The engine sound very bad, hesitant acceleration and misfire which I suspected to be a communication problem. I need a good Auto Electrician with ECU experience that can help correct this.
I read online that I need to get an ECU that is the same serial Number with my stock ECU, then use a good OBD11 programmer to Swap ECU and latter Copy My VIN to the new ECU. I need help with this

7: Vehicle is starting and idling is ok but there is no power signal to first ignition coil,Hence the running of engine isn't smooth and difficult t climb hills atimes.
Rewire says/confirms that Brainbox/ECU isn't ok
I have tried my best to get a replacement brainbox but all are not compatible with the car.

No training given to personnel so fixing is majorly a trial and error thing.

Equipment to fix said fault is mostly nonexistent in Nigeria.

Most gearbox part comes in kits and expensive, also the parts have manufacturers stats and default modes which most technicians have no access to.

Buy a used gear from an accidental vehicle is more financially feasible than buying China kits for untrained technicians

Sometimes in February my Honda Accord DC overheated, cos Kazeem removed the thermostat and tampered with the engine fan wiring: the rings fried, a connecting rod bent and some bearings damaged.
Most Mechs told me to change engine including our own Gazzuz.
Buh thank goodness, an Engineer from my workplace fixed it.
I bought a premium ring pair and a connecting rod and volla!

My Honda is driving better than before, some mech told me it will go bad after 3 months, it's October already and the car is giving me joy.

I typed all this cos the guy that fixed it told me the same thing you said "All engines can be fixed"

He said he's ringed a countless vehicles that runs good after six years.
Instead of spending 200k on engine, I spent 25k only on everything including workmanship.

I am a Dangote Transport staff and we've got some exceptional technicians.

So am about to change some A/C parts in my car. I got the oil recommendation from the service manual shown below.

From the recommendation and the parts i am changing, a total of 70ml is what is recommended to be added for

Condenser 25ml
Dryer 25ml
Line 10ml
Leakage 10ml.

My leak is on the discharge pipe from compressor to condenser. I recently started to notice oil on the pipe and had been losing gas. The last recharge didn't last a week and the pipe is completely wet will oil.

I am just a little scared knowing that too little oil risk the compressor seizing up while too much oil reduces cooling.

I am tempted to put 50 or 60ml instead of the 70ml. What do you think? In fact, i want to settle for 55ml. Neither full nor short.

The car is durable and parts are cheaper than your corolla. You need not worry about vandals that vandalize brain box and control switches.

Its very rear for a honda civic to have its leg pull out.

First of all,is Martex oil a good oil? I bought the oil ehn,and it was green. I put it in the gen,it was vibrating more after running for some time. I opened the oil cap it was foaming. Are all these things normal? The spec of the oil na SAE 20w50 API SF/CC. Any contributions please.
