FedericGodwin:
You cannot say more than your cerebral capacity. I repeat what is making you rant. That's what you are.
Tell me what you know about mineral resources.
What course did you study and which school did you attend?
I rarely comment on social media but some of you need to be caned with words so that you can learn faster because it's not easy to teach an old dog a new trick.
You aren't doing well at all. Tell me how you want ajaokuta to be revived and fayemi did otherwise.
Which mineral are you exporting self? Hope you aren't one of those people shortchanging Nigeria before buhari came on board to put things right.
Cool temper chairman you can't be ranting with this your BP Life is good.
You seem to hate everything about APC good but always have a free mind when arguing because you never can tell who you are arguing with.
I won't respond to you again because I can see you are off points. Except I see some reasonable points in your response should in case you try to respond. Your argument lacks direction ab initio

Ask some knowledgeable people to teach you how to argue.
You must be objective when arguing, and ready for anything except fight
Yeye boy
Objective uh? So where was your objectivity when you concluded I was suffering from educational deficiency? Uh?

Anyways, if you care to know. Ajaokuta has one major problem with of course is already in court (old staffs suiinh government after concession to Mittal). However, another issue previous governments has always used was the fact that Russians built it and they need Russians to run it. Tell me what I don't already know.

As for APC I'll praise them when they do good and scold them when they go astray. I'm not interested in who you are but can you deny Fayemi built a website with N500m? Can you deny he was instrumental to the APC manifesto which is now giving PMB issues because he can't fulfill all promises made? Can you deny Lai Mohammed said not all promises can be fulfilled and they only made it to win votes? Can you deny APC government met $26B in reserves even though they have almost doubled it.

I'm willing to always learn from anyone if you'll be smart enough to attack my messages and not who I am okay? Mind you it's proven education doesn't guarantee intellectual ability rather exposure does. Learn to address people..

I can't blame your lots because of decadence in education sector.
The issue of ajaokuta you just mentioned is funny. What do you know about ajaokuta, you are one of the masters degree holders in mediocrity.
Shut up when intellectual are discussing important issues.
As much as I detest foul languages on public forums, I must say you're an idiot. You raised a point without backing it up yet you accuse me of decadence in education. Mind you, there was these issues with Ajaokuta before APC made it a campaign issue promising to give a different approach just as they claimed with power but alas, they continued the same old way expecting a different result. Mind you I'm into minerals export and I can tell you Fayemi fumbled with the approach on Ajaokuta, atleast Amaechi did Abuja runways and ia doing something on rail.

The truth is Fayemi for all who cares to listen is never going to fulfill these promises. For those who care to listen or would remember these same Fayemi came up with the APC manifesto for 2015 elections. Promising 3 million jobs a year, 30k jobs per state, 5k to 25 million poor and when Charles Soludo queried where he will get the money to finance all these promises he said they would get it by blocking loop holes even if they are to meet an empty treasury, they met $25B yet couldn't do shit. However, Buhari now has to contend with those promises and eventually Lai Mohammed said it's normal to make empty promises. I'd rather have a known kpono cutter who is accessible than a lying bastard like Fayemi who even in 3 years couldn't achieve anything with Ajaokuta steel the most important company in Nigeria except for a useless N500m website to his name. Anyways, goodluck to Ekiti and its people.

You're right but looking at history betrayal of such magnitude are more common when the Democrats are in power. The Republicans are more strict and straight. Democrats are very deceptive.

PDP is very useless walahi. These Reno guy always comes with verified facts and yet the PDP media machinery cannot oil his facts and make them nationwide. Only few of us who have access to the internet can access these claims. Majority of Nigerians are been fed daily only with APC propaganda. PDP or opposition needs a better media group if truly they are serious.

I know some idiots will say the airport was a scam from onset, I will be waiting for them because despite the intentional cutting of Osun state's Budget , Aregbesola did miracles in Osun state
Hey...please understand it is never possible to intentionally cut a state's budget. The president doesn't have such powers and if you mention Lagos during Tinubu that was because he created new LGAs which unfortunately are not in the constitution. Aregbesola is a complete scam. Osun still owes over 150b in debt and all we see are "good" school buildings (yet we are 30th in ssce) and yes 300 kilometer of roads...no hospitals, no investment in agriculture, no human capital development, no research funded... You have a right to support whomever you want but no one intentionally cut our allocation. It was all lies to paint PDP black. Remember, PDP could have blocked all the loans he took just like the senate did elrufai recently.

My Problem with PDP is the brazen Shamelessness with which they conduct themselves thess days.

They have not exhibited enough remorse to show that they actually regret what they ve put this country through.

Rather trying to reduce the magnitude of their crimes to child's play
Attack the message not the messenger. Even if the message is from a convicted armed robber, look at it critically. We can't continue like this. It is because of issues like this that makes it impossible for the executive to nail the legislature because those sinators know there's a big heist going on. Shina Rambo style..

authority2006:
My point is this: let me say that I agreed that the president used the word "lazy" and it was "generalised". I'm saying that that is not enough reason for me to return PDP to power. Even if there is going to be a third force, it will be the likes of Obasanjo, Oyinlola, Falae and Co. That's a no no for me.
I never mentioned PDP remember. As a matter of fact I never voted PDP nor ever supported any of it's presidential candidate. However my grouse is people keep saying and believing there's no other option. Last election I voted Kowa and I have been at peace with myself ever since. I couldn't follow the bandwagon and vote Buhari who was always giving excuses why he can't debate. Trust me Baba hasn't committed any blunders yet, wait till debates start next year. We are all humans and can make mistakes but always blaming everything and everyone else instead of developing solutions and being innovative makes this government worse than PDP. Can you imagine we've spent 3 years blaming and yet people die everyday in the NC. Buhari is a No for me, I'd rather vote a party without a candidate that vote in excuses.

I don't know your region but I'm from the south west and I can tell you that you are daydreaming. Why should I hang myself because of a statement of fact that wasn't directed to me?
Buhari said that some youth had never been to school. Yes.
He said that they want things for free. Yes
Many illiterate ex-militants are on the FG payroll, 65k a month doing nothing since the period of Yaradua. Many school dropouts in the Niger Delta region are on the oil companies payrolls doing nothing. If you are among the people that there president's statement targeted, Mr president has no intention to apologise for what he said.
You need to be objective here bro, the President said "a lot" of the youths expected government to provide free healthcare etc. Now tell me since you and I have been born, what benefit have we ever gotten from government that would warrant us to imagine or expect freebies? Meanwhile, Buhari has been living off public money since he was 19. Just because some didn't posses formal education doesn't qualify them as being lazy. I've been to many parts of the country and I can tell you the average Nigerian isn't lazy not even in the Niger Delta, what's the population of the militants getting N65k? Less than 100k, do you mean we have only 100k youths in the whole of the south south??
PoliticsRe: 2019: Ndigbo May Dump Buhari Again As Ezeife,Others Reject 2023 Presidency Offer by callthefred: 11:31pm On Apr 22, 2018
Many people always thinking Buhari will win may be in for a shocker. Trust me with the Lazy youths statement Bubu has lost the southwest. Not a thousand Tinubu can change that. I just feel sorry for the former ACN caucus because marketing Buhari here in the West in an uphill task. The major statement that cost GEJ southwest was stealing is not corruption gaffe.

However, I wouldn't know of Buhari's chances in the southeast and south south. Need to say Baba needs 25% in 24 states as stated in the electoral law. It would be interesting.

Try to address old people in a way to reflect how your parents brought you up.
By the way, I don't support Buhari or any political party.
Mind you not everyone would be interested in politics and for someone to become a president hasn't exactly proven that they have better IQ. Those who have left greater landmarks around the world were never politicians. For you to understand, PMB is a public figure living on public money and as such I can insult him because I feed him. It's obvious you're a member of the BMC which isn't entirely wrong but to attack the messenger instead of the message shows you're not intellectually upright enough for me to engage in a debate.

Some Nigerian 'lazy yoots' are going to believe the Facebook post.
I believe the campaign has started.
Instead for the PDP to start telling Nigeria how they intend to change the country, they are busy thrashing the image of Buhari.
Calling someone ugly doesn't make you beautiful. This is one of the reasons PDP lost. Imagine AIT doing a dirty documentary on Tinubu.

Information warfare does backfire.

PDP, tell the country your manifesto; your economic, infrastructural and social welfare & justice plans.
Sensible people are not buying these junks.
But we never saw the Facebook post, only Adeshina and the presidency did. Can't you use your brain that no such post existed? It was just fabricated to kill the debate and anger the President's blunder is causing. You'll be shocked that neither APC nor PDP will win the presidency next year. Keep hallucinating about how no one can defeat Buhari.

The basis of your support for Buhari still baffles me or you're probably scared thinking Buhari is a super human. Mind you Buhari isn't any better than you or me, he's just a lucky idiot who now feels he's doing us a favour by leading the country.

I disagree with you on that , there is provision for a human capital development projects in the Nigeria Budget already. Aside that there are other account set aside for training and re training of human capital in every ministry in Nigeria. Whether it's judiciously spent is another question for another day. No country in the world has ever used her foreign reserve either to fund it's budget or spend it on human capital development.
Are you really sure about that claim? Because you don't budget #100b for research and expect results o. You need billions of dollars spread across board because even Harvard's endowment fund for research is bigger than our budget.

It's not about needing the bill. The senators does not have the right to make such laws. NASS members are not permanent residents of the NASS, however, Nigeria will always remain even till the 20th senate. SO the 8th senate can't come and distort everything due to their assumptions. The supreme court will deny them that right.

Why did you think they didnt bother to veto presidential assent? They knew they will lose and they are now seeking the support of the governors by trying to favour them. So how is it healthy to our democracy? Court will always tell them to stop
Mind you the sequence in 1999 was Presidential elections last. Our democracy is evolving yes, we have selfish idiots in power yes, but this is about the office and power attached to that office. That they changed narrative doesn't mean they can't veto the president but because it's all politics and many need their state governors to hand them tickets for continuity, hence they definitely would succumb but that's not to say they can't pass it.

Many of them are here on Nairaland. few days ago, one of them said the F.G should be funding Budget with foreign reserve. Since that day, I occasionally engage them in a debate.
Trust me it might not be a bad thing if spend the reserves on "human capital development" the major reasons we save in dollars is for clearing bills and receipts for import purposes. If we spend heavily to develop our engineers, scientists and researchers we may end up producing 98% of what we consume and might be no need to import, after all America's savings is not up to $150b but the country can raise $1T in 24 hours. Our major forex drainer is refunded oil.

Also, you may want to know that the American visa lottery was a strategy to sabotage countries like Nigeria. After we've subsided education here and trained someone to become a qualified doctor or engineer, he travels to the USA and becomes useful to them and a loss to us. No one will be given a visa in the lottery process if you haven't atleast passed WASSCE so forget the old economics, my only problem is we spend on wrong things.

Like I said my brother "it was the excuse given by proponents" of the bill. Of course there could be motives. But looking sincerely, APC wouldn't have won those states you listed. They were never swing states.

This is supreme court Judgement. This judgement was given if I am not mistaken 2006/2007. So who amended it.

You read in the judgement that the NASS has no right to make laws relating to the listed conditions

Even if this one gets to the president, he will still reject it, then the NASS will try to veto it, if they succeed, FG will take it to court for proper interpretation. It will be resolved after 2023 election grin grin
Not necessarily so, there could be accelerated hearing. Mind you Inec shot itself in the leg earlier on this bill and to retract. INEC like EFCC is a creation of the law. The law made and amended by the national assembly but in all honesty the bill is needed and would help our democracy if implemented.

I really don't understand this reordering stuff undecided

How does reordering favour the senators and not the presidency, can anyone help huh

Infact which of the orders favours the masses huh huh

Thanks.
The excuses of the proponents of the bill which many Nigerians for selfish, bias or outright hatred for this national assembly didnt critically access is the reason for this noise.

The bill was introduced because in the last elections many states voted APC governors solely because Buhari had won the presidency and they couldn't afford been labeled opposition. Jigawa is a good example.

So in order to ensure the right persons win at governorship levels and possibly even an independent candidate may one day will the presidency they proposed the bill.

The only advantage to the masses is that the more these clowns clash the more revelations and secret we hear. It's now up to the masses to come together and send them all packing.

To be very honest this is Nigeria where every normal thing is abnormal. That we could see more clearly and think better itself is wrong. Because all those I mentioned earlier have proven otherwise. Abati today and Okupe are filled with regrets, same for Adeniyi.

Have you ever heard Abba Kyari the President's chief of staff as much uttered a word or granted an interview in 3 years?
