Thank you.please any idea if kids do biometrics too.Applying with my son but not sure if he is to go with me for bio
kids do not require biometrics. I'm sure you only paid $100 For his application wh8ch excludes biometric fee. So you are the only one going for biometrics. Leave him behind.

I saw it on the form i downloaded they asked and they even ask for place of birth of your children, previous spouse sef d form is veryvery detailed much more than a physical interview
You mean one of the requirement is to provide baby's birth certificate? I haven't come across that in tourist visa application. You will be asked for place of birth and it's ok to include baby's birth certificate in your documents even when not asked

I was thinking the 34pages will be much to upload, that's why i upload just the first and last,i believe they have ways to access the account if they need to verify anything.also i believe after an application has been submitted no extra document would be collected.
I stand to be corrected if i am wrong though
way to access the account? I will advice you get the soft copy which is always just a few kb. You can decide to attach the first and last pages As well, don't forget to explain your reasons for doing that in your LOE. All the best

Hi people. I have been silent reader of this thread and I must commend everyone for their contributions most especially the gurus here.
Pls I am a bit confused, I want to go the paper route but I don't know if I have to create a GCKEY or not and also if I will be needing paper passport for paper application.
Thanks
You will submit your current international passport with your application. However, you have to make coloured copies of your passport data page and take to the embassy. You can link your paper application online so you can track. Go to the website, you will see link on how to link it.

Good evening family, pls can someone enlighten me on the biometric ,how is it done and where is it done.thank u
After submitting your application, in about a day or 2, sign back into your profile and print your biometric letter and head to the VSF office with your international passport for your biometrics. If you are in Lagos, you may wish to book appointment on VSF website to avoid unnecessary queue and delay when you get there, if you are in Abuja, just walk in from 8-3pm and take your biometrics in few minutes. That's it.

However, if it's paper application, you do your biometrics immediately while submitting your application. Note that biometrics lasts for 10years now.

Dear All,

I just found out I am pregnant for my fiance. He wants me to give birth in Canada.

I have not started the application yet because I am scared I may get rejected due to lack of travel history and ties with Nigeria.

I also need help with the whole process. While filling the visa application form, do I disclose that I am going to Canada to give birth?

NB; My fiance, who is a UK resident(not citizen) will be the one sponsoring the visa process
Yes you may have to declare your intention to give birth in Canada but you need written backup like a doctor's letter from Canada to aid your application.

Thanks for all your opinion especially on the issue of forging bank statement.

About depositing a certain amount in my account, I think if I do, they will term it 'money lodgement' since it's going to appear that it was deposited few weeks before application.

What other ties can I use?

I really want to give birth in Canada and at the same time be with my husband through this second pregnancy.

Reading other people's positive stories in this thread have raised my hopes.
if your husband us sponsoring you and earn more than enough to Carter for your travel, then his statement should be used. I know housewives here use their husbands statement for application and they are fine. You can build your statement for some time and include it but don't fail to include every detail of your spouses finance. Luck

Congratulations placebo .these Canadian embassy people should chill jare, shebi they need human beings in their country grin and we are helping them actualizetheir dream lol. In the long run, all these children may be so useful to their country as well cheesy grin they should stop denying medical visa. And another thing is that we may have to work harder to get doctor's that can write letter cos it's one of the requirement for visa application.

Dear All,

I have carefully and religiously followed the thread and must say a lot have been learnt from all your honest contributions.

However, my case is a bit different and will still appreciate your honest advise.

Just got married in Dec 2018 and all docs still have my name as I'm yet to do change of name. Me and hubby intend doing the Canadian PR and about to start the processing. Now, I'm 8weeks pregnant and a lil confused on which to do.

My questions pls:

1. Do I apply for tourist visa and deliver my baby in Canada and continue with the PR process afterwards ( Will my baby's status in anyway improve our chances)?

2. Do we still continue with the PR process and hope we get it before EDD in September? Is there any implication starting application with 2 fam member and increasing after childbirth?

3. Or proceed with the PR application and plan to give birth in USA?

I'm really confused. Please help.
Thank you.
Have you written the English test, accessed your result and all that? Is your point up to the required point? Are you going to have delays due to certain things beyond you? Even the certification of result takes time atimes. If you can start up your PR asap and pursue it with full force, you may be able t9 get it and travel before delivery. But you know it's risky even though that may be your only guaranteed way out. Normal visa application is not guaranteed?

Good morning ☀️ house. @hotstepper & house I’ve seen another Doctor in Toronto giving us appointment by 4th of April, please should I call the doctor to email appointment letter to me or I should just write and indicate it myself that I’ve an appointment with a doctor in Toronto by 4th of April before submitting my application?
if the doctor can send you a letter, that will be fantastic. Remember to have enough money in your account if applying for medical.

@Hotstepper please urgent reply. My wife and I contact a Doctor in Ottawa (Obygn). The secretary said we have to made payment of 2100CAD first (doctor fee) then receipt and some other things will be sent to us. Is it advisable to make the payment before submitting our application?
this is good if they are willing to collect money and write letter to that. But be sure of refund policy.

Please for those that have successfully gotten their Visa's did you get a validity of biometric mail with an attachment that shows how long your biometric is valid for before getting your visa.
the biometrics letter showing validity is always attached separately whether for approval or refusal. They attach it there as your copy.

Tks hotstepper, candybright and others for ur responses.
Chatted wt a colleague that had visa earlier and visited Canada last year but was refused recently to. This pple are becoming tougher, they think we want to run ‍♀️ away from election.
I earlier used hotel reservation, she is advising I get a letter of visitation instead. Can it increase ones chances.

Thks pple
Was your travel date within election period? I don't think it has anything to do with election. If getting a letter, I believe you have to proof the relationship between the person inviting you and yourself and purpose of visit for the letter to hold weight in Vo's eyes

Huh, I hope you are lucky to get approved.

A family friend was also given such very short stay when she got to Canada too. The CBP officer said it was because she did not declare it during her initial visa application that she was coming to give birth in Canada.

She tried to apply for extension but was denied along with her visa being cancelled. However, she went on staying behind to have her baby in Canada.
Chai, this doesn't sound good. I hope that's her last baby winkcos coming back or going to U.S for another baby may be almost impossible

Tks hotstepper, was almost done wt my justification to submit tomorrow wen I came online

My US interview is on Feb 21 and supposed to have travelled by March 29 against Edd 28

If I hold on for paper will I make it Incase US is not successful and hope a US rejection won’t lead to Canada rejection too

Does paper route means it must be screened in Nigeria too.
submit your application online Jeje. Cos the moment U.S gives you that denial (GOD forbid) Canada will do you same. Paper application is done anywhere mostly Nairobi

Yea am replying alone, wt nobody now, let me achieve my main aim
Shd we stl maintain childbirth now or leave it at tourism, for me not putting childbirth, if am successful will deal wt it at POE
How do I apply again on my existing account, wld ve preferred paper application if not for my USA interview in 2wks.
Who do I address my letter to cos d London visa office treated my application, shd I write back to dem or Lagos office.
Pls ur mail or mail me on chenonye96@yahoo.com let’s relate better.

Tks
You can't change your story now, you should maintain same. If you want to attend U.S interview in 2weeks and you intend to apply by paper route, then wait till after your visa if you still have time. Your visa won't take time this time cos they already have your profile and will make a faster decision. I still think online is better so you fix in every Info in it's space. Address your previous refusal and try to convince the VO of your purpose now and why you will return after your visit especially since applying alone now. Good luck

Pls wch is letter of intent, is it the TRV application.
I equally chose tourism/visit and stated in the TRV application others and noted tourism and childbirth.

I was equally rejected today and how can I reapply. Do I ve to open another acc or ds amen acc, will apply alone ds time.. I applied wt hubby and dota and attached everything necessary. I was d main applicant cos hubby passport will expire in a year.
My stmt was almost 5m, hubby 8+m. I attached our insurance cert and properties including pics of my house. My organization wrote letter of introduction and annual emolument of 11m.

I equally attached my 2 kids US birth cert, travel history to US thrice same wt hubby and dota which is obvious I can never stay back in Canada for wtever.
These were dr reasons , pls advice on d next step needed.
I THINK they are trying as much as possible to deny anyone that's had a baby in U.S thinking everyone is coming to have another baby in Canada. Was your U.S visa expired?

Those that applied and indicated childbirth, please did you include details of the hospital or doctor you will be using in your application. I applied January 6th and started tourism. Indicated childbirth in the letter of explanation. My application was refused. Reason is purpose of visit and personal and financial asset. I applied with my mum, hubby and my self. Hubby for two weeks, myself and my mum for two months. Hubby is the primary applicant. He has a valid us visa. My mum has a valid us visa too. My us visa recently expired. We put in documents of all our properties. We had seven thousand euro in hubby account balance. Should I reapply. What else can I add that hasn't been added already. Should I do a budget sheet. I don't know what else they want
they may not see the money as sufficient especially since you mentioned Child birth. Flight ticket for 3 of you is already over one million. How much come remain. I think for anyone to mention childbirth, you should have more than enough money showing in your account. You should reapply with your spouse or alone

I remember going through this thread when i was expecting my first child but eventually went the US route.

So my American visa expired last week and the rate at which people are getting called for interviews even after the drop box process is alarming plus I don't want to be a victim.

So I am back here.

How long is Canadian visa process time?

In a case where i had my child in america, my american & uk visa just expired, how much min should I have in my account, what is the possibility of getting it and please advise on additional proof of ties to present.
From 4-6weeks on an average.. you will have to convince them you ain't going to have another baby in Canada unless you plan to, get ready to back it up with documents cos I believe now, they believe every one that previously had a baby in USA is coming to Canada to have another even when some are not
